Cordo Patterson getting into the Hall of Fame is a take of mind that might age really well or really badly but hear me out if Deon Hester is the best punt return man ever then I think Patterson is probably the best kickoff return man ever he has the most kickoff return touchdowns of all time and led the league twice during his career kickoff return yards and depending on what the new kickoff rules being implemented this year lead to I'm not entirely sure if that record is ever getting broken I think if Hester's induction is going to affect any return specialist it probably should be Cordo Patterson he's gone all pro seven times four times on the first team a four-time pro bowler has a Super Bowl on his resume and the 2010's all decade team representative as kickoff return specialist I don't think that Patterson could affect the game plan the way Hester did back in the day but there were many times where kickers mat sure to kick to the very back of the endzone and Patterson was lined up to return but his career speaks for itself you can also argue that outside of his return duties he's maybe one of the most versatile players to ever have been designated as a return specialist I can always point to his 2021 season where he logged a th yards from scrimmage
