watch Traer call a trailer I did multiple times I've been watching since it's come out obviously like first in the morning let's go to the Backyard Sports Instagram and watch the trailer and it's like it hpes me up it gets me ready to go for and it's funny because it's literally just the Backyard Sports trailer like last isn't a real back sports game I don't care what anyone says not a back sports game I think the actual last backy sports game is back and the best one is baseball specifically 2003 basball they've like they went on this weird you call it a Rebrand almost where they just like updated all the graphics and animation and then that's where everybody fell off with it yeah yeah and I mean I think the which I think which I think is actually a huge huge step in the right direction because they could have just remapped the whole thing in fact they stuck with the 97 to like 2003 is Graphics that's how it should be that's how it should have been have but I'm still even though this but it'll beily positioned for children I and I think specifically and even 30s and 4S I think you're you're young enough if you're late and I think think I think that that's kind of the position that game took and that's that's where they're going I think it's a good move they a market that with a game Ty yeah and yeah I've told you prior to all this is that I've been playing that on a VM on my laptop there's people that are on Tik Tok that is stream playing any of those games because there's a way to access them still but the fact that you're getting a I don't know I can't wait to see what the gameplay looks like personally because I think that's kind of how we'll jum budet and we'll obviously Circle back to this when we get that but to know that I'll will I will window actually I don't seen them rebranded for like adult softball leagues and stuff oh yeah no like and that's the thing leag exactly yes backs that I own I can tell you a team that doesn't exist either via Rebrand or completely defun basketball so my thing is I hope they start off unbranded or unlicensed just for the fact that just so that they can um you can have the base at least the base Backyard Baseball because that's how the first one was the 97 version so I hope you can at least get one of those and then they start pushing for the license just kind of I'm going to OPP I actually hope they can get a license for All Sports because I think it's a good way to build and yeah you know who was the Forefront of this really before the trailer came out and all the Instagram posts bring back Sports before that yeah so the Kelsey brothers were kind of they went on a tangent on their podcast about it which I gotta find I found it through uh the Kelsey Brothers it might have been in reference to that because I know Jason kelu is huge on it so I hope if they do get the NFL license right away they can use Jason and Travis that that'd be pretty sweeton they need to put him in the game even even 10st his re obviously was realistically he's not be that's what he was recruited as before when he went to UC and then they con then they converted him to be a center so easy I don't disagree yeah I'll pull I don't think I can pull the clip for arel but I'll least pull some Jason Kelce content for that that's fine I think he is I think being the face of you bring back back Sports movement Jason yeah you know I think the fact with I'm gonna go back to the trailer for a minute fact you have all of the a lot of the core original players in the game in those games in the trailer you know I Lov that honestly it was the it was the honestly one of my favorite Revival trailers that I've seen if not my favorite because I like how much Nostalgia I tied to it no I agree so that's kind of again I obviously I doe outside back basketball all the backy sports games I tie theal to like pro sports teams and pro sports players mixing he's the greatest athlete not Michael Jeffrey Jordan but that's a debate for another day they have these kids where every this like if you look at every again for the most part the excep like pretty damn good at everything except one there's one so like I gotta get back into my backyard baseball build but I remember now Pao leading off right remember uh the ginger kid Pete wheeler oh yeah Pete wheeler I had he was my lad off guy like he was one of the few back kids I always distracted because I thought it was funny because he was just they did a great job yeah because you you have a lot of representation in those games too which you don't really see anymore or you do but not to that like such a magnified scale so I was I think OPP think they did so felt like making it obvious they representing Kenny was in y and we he play because our because obviously basketball I to see what it was of course I did same with hoe kind of learn as like to with that too it's like you allow your consumer to you allow the kids that play the game to kind of levitate towards one even if it's just one of the the kids in the game you kind of associate you can makes it easy to associate with someone in that game that's why you P them over and over and over again no matter how many times you build a team oh and even if they're not as not no it's just like the the personal Rel it's that personal relatability that really get to see it you want take that yeah I like how you unlock you I do like how you unlock especially like in the 04 and' 05 games I played you unlocked like you could see the fields you could unlock just for playing the season mode so said start a new one so like I'll tell you that story so my brother played a lot more like I played back baseball but I always play like four or five games and then like of this team start my younger brother would actually the he was the first one I think they called the series wild but he won the world seriesall and I realized that when I started a new season after did that I can start I can use the world fi the playoff Feld as my homei kind of I think with um 05 is that you could see the world they used the World Series Stadium for the allstar game yeah but what's cool is you if you did certain things like very specific baseball related things Derek Jeter was an unlockable character Mike Pia was unlockable yeah like it was nice you got unlock but you had unlock oh I got it right here um so I just Googled all the unlockables here right no it's literally just the Game Spot guide for all the unlockables okay so yes so right oh there's one I never got on here apparently there you get the uh school the PC that I had just kept getting updated with the OS but the back baseball and basketball stayed on there so I was playing those through high school and I'm like all right last I you know I it next week all right so unprepared it has to be unprepared it has to be just I do it right now right wait till next week because you here here's the thing right you know America's team isn't the Dallas Cowboys it's the Pittsburgh Steelers and here's why so so here's why the Steelers are going to be this the very surprising team out of the AFC in the 2024 season all right hear me out so they've started a rebuild without nuking the team entirely which not many other teams can do all right so they said all of our quarterbacks suck let's get new ones so they went out and got new ones and Russell Wilson and Justin Fields who can actually run with the football and not look totally awkward with the football with that they bolstered the offensive line they brought in a new offensive coordinator so this offensive coordinator is none other than Arthur Smith who was in charge of that Titans Renaissance when they had like two playoff years under Mike bbel when Derrick Henry is like the running back God that everybody knows him as while bring it back one healthy a top five defense in the NFL I don't think you can dis you can't argue with me there Mr Browns fan no I can't it's gonna be a tough nine- win season um no no no no so here's the thing about this roster right it's basically the same roster it's going to steal games that they shouldn't win but then lose the ones that they should win so hence nine and eight maybe 10 and seven if we're feeling lucky so here's here's why I think the Steelers and it's no hate to the steers actually like there's here you said it the best when healthy the injury bug has been hitting the Steelers defense ear earlier every year the earlier it hits the worst your Rec that's just that's just science but we also come out with a winning record so that point is almost obsolete but was this the closest you've been to a 500 record no we we were 8 and one one year we we were pretty close okay fine we've been eight a few times but so here's the thing right they brought in to be TJ saw I that's why I wore it one two I'm gonna I'll give him respect he's fantastic but comes and then you you see the difference with him on and off the field too like that's a very clear difference like not a lot of players have a team not a lot of teams have a player or that difference is very very literal that's kind that's my point entirely I think it's be really seon I think he's just get unfortunately unfortun of the injury is come cat too early they added a lot of those issues so that's why they brought so they've revamped they brought in some linebacker depth so they stole Patrick Queen from the Ravens which that that was a move that fell under the kind of fell under a bit did you realize now that that was a huge move if you really think about it moving in division to a rival like that like that doesn't happen in the NF NFL as often as like in the NBA or the NFL or MLB and then the the old Line's still an issue but we brought in two of the top prospects at those at their respective positions at Center and Tackle but they're still a young group so there's going to be a lot of learning curve there then with the offense that that's where all the questions live the offense is going to dictate how this season's going to go because you can BR so they brought in fields son and Arthur Smith to run the whole show but the core of the offense in both quarterbacks and na Harris are on oneyear deals so that so Na's fifth year option got declined he's a free agent Russell Wilson and fields are on one basically oneyear deals so I don't know how it's going to go but I think they'll figure it out that's what they're always good at is they'll figure it out so with and the other thing is I think the AFC North is the toughest division it's the most gridlock division so that's why I think it's the toughest because I think top to bottom a sing Team yeah and if you look top down it was settled within three games from top to bottom the Bal were officially oner worst and they still I think there's like a four game difference from top bottom and not other divisions can have that so what I think the offense is going to do is going to run that offense oh what are we doing yeah the Ravens were 13 and four the Browns were 11 and six the Steelers were 10 and seven teamcc AFC was the the best team you're going to be surprised by that's I guess would have been the NFC North butre the Packers were 12 the Lions 12 the Vikings and thear were both and NFC the p in the west the Cardinals were in the AFC the Patriots were 4 and3 the Char were 5 and 12 the Titans were 6 and 11 the AFC South was the and with that right so I think going back to the offense I'm gonna kind of just ramble here for a bit so the offense bringing in the new OC they're gonna go back to what the Steeler offense has always been just kind of very run heavy power Run play action play off no so that's why I think that Nai Harris J Jay Jaylen Warren Duo to be such a focal point because you're going to put them in and kind of interchange what the roles are going to be and they're gonna really be kind of the focal point aside from the quarterbacks because if those two are playing well it kind of opens up what George Pickins and that very very weak receiver group can do because after George vickens there really isn't like a number two guy they're all I think we're all we all got a bunch of guys on oneye deals but we drafted uh Roman Wilson out in Michigan so that's where I see like Pat fth and the tight end group kind of stepping up a little bit where they'll get some of those targets that some of those lower dep threat receivers might not get but I still think on paper when healthy that offense given the right situations can actually be very very dangerous if you set it up the right way and if they play the way that they've been saying that they want to play that's AFC North is just so tight top to bottom as as we mentioned as I'm gonna make a take it could be H could be I'm not sure it could be right I don't think a single AFC team will sweep another AFC think yeah this year that's what I think and I think more than likely you'll win your home game that's how it usually goes too so I'm not g to be surprised like and the steel will win in Baltimore and the Browns and B will be the same they win so I guess actually I'm just saying you only went on the road um well the Browns will beat the Steelers r at home I just feel like Pittsburgh is probably the toughest Home St I think I think coming in as a fan to those four stadiums in the AFC nor I think Pittsburgh is probably probably theough which is weird because of the I think it's just because of the tradition of it all I think being like the most like blue collar fan base in that way I mean this one is still this one again when healthy is top five in my opinion and I'll die on that Hill if I need to but like you know when you bring back the same core that they that they're gonna bring back with TJ watt cam Hayward minko fatrick Alex heith JY Porter so on so forth with Patrick Queen with pton Wilson like you get all you get a defense that's gonna be running at everybody not afraid to run through the the front line no that's that's fine they're going to get I mean the Steelers defense always gets beat with a deep Ball but that's not it's not a secret that hasn't been that's been common knowledge for forever so it's not like it's going to be it's not like anything's changed there I know that I want them to tighten that up but who knows I'm gonna shift back to the offense so I can get this point in here from the edit but I do think Russell Wilson's gonna be the starting QB that's kind of common knowledge but I think if Justin Fields I feel like it's kind of more on his heels and I think what I've been reading kind of what I've been seeing on Twitter and through ESPN and all that kind of stuff that I feel like feels is kind of making R he's not making rust look over his shoulder in a way but I feel like know he's going to be doing the things that he needs to do they kind of say hey I'm here I I want to prove what I can do so if Russ kind of slips up enough you get that switch over to where Fields can run that offense and you kind of see what both of them can do so if Russ hasn't Miss like two games of the injury that gives Fields two full games to run and then you make that decision on okay one of these two guys is GNA be running this offense for the rest of the year and then whoever I think forms the best is who's going to get who's going to come back and be our quarterback after that makes that makes perect sense to me again I'm to say this and I hate to say this but I mean I think he so he's got an upgraded offense compared to what he had in Denver I like I'm not GNA be no I'm not saying I'm just he is old like objectively he is old so I think Ste the I think the Jets didn't do it with Aaron Rogers they brought in another guy who could step in into that starting gig tomorrow right yeah so I think that's probably the best move they made and I think it's because of Theon experiment going so poorly last year I mean I think also that was that was also Aon it's Aaron Rogers job until he wants to go away so like it's two different situations but it's also the same kind of idea at the same time but my point is to and I we're bringing you in to be number one and i' assume they have the same conversation we brought Russell Wilson to be number one coming to number two but understand russl old as football I feel like I feel like that conversation went like they kind of left the door open who that door is I think whoever Isom that receiving cord is a little bit better in Chicago though but but overall I think the situation in Pittsburgh is is enough to the Bears especially the Bears in the last three four years yeah because they they refuse to get him help and then he leaves and they get Caleb Williams out the help but that's also a different scenario that you're in where you get handed the number one pick I'm thinking that's back unlimited I think there's a lot of big play potential with either of them at quarterback it's just a matter of which one of them will be able to bring that more consistently one once one of them is firmly in place we're leaving T Hill out of the Steelers debate because he he'll be there next year anyway um Hill honestly I'll that's not L Massachusetts I think's probably teams that iots anddd be pretty good probably they've locked into Kyler though so I thinky Broncos walked like hey we did the basically so he I I put him in division and put him in Carolina not gonna lie Carolina put him in Carolina so give me a second I'm going to start a fire real quick you're just GNA let this happen I was hoping that the would be able to be internalized the no he if I didn't put um look if I if I didn't put a future down on jayen Daniels I address at day in the future I'm never I'm let it you're look it's just that I think the Steelers really can surprise people given that they have a roster that didn't turn over but they somehow got better in the places they needed to minus they do have a trade frame work in place for the 49ers but I don't really think iuk is G get traded at this point so like I'm just kind of taking that with a grain of salt but if they land auk we could revisit this topic next week or whenever that trade goes through but I really think that they could be on the same path that they're on is that they didn't have to scrap the roster if they scrap the roster even more I think they could be a sub 500 team I still think they'll be their ceiling is maybe nine maybe 10 wins if they get lucky the have time I think the ceiling's nine and eight for me but I'll give them room for I'll give them room for like a 10th or maybe an 11th if they get if they get slightly hot this year my point on why I think it's going to be a tough six season teams that buil always they always even though thee is the potential is there the point is there and just these Perpetual look at I'm a Browns fan this is the first year in a while that I was proud and they've never blown up they keep justes and that's just all down I feel like this is kind of the AFC North way and I think we can kind of go at this talk about the division full circle is that the AFC North teams don't like blow up the roster when they win four games they just kind of slowly upgrade where they need to upgrade so that's what I wasting with like they they kind of that's what I was getting at with the offense earlier is like they upgrade the pieces that they need to upgrade but they're not going to scrap the roster because it all failed it's like they have more belief in their roster versus like a Carolina Panthers or you know hell even the Chicago couple years ago you get my favorite example is the the Cleveland BRS should have been especially after that preas they had I thought they were going to be a seven I thought I actually remember this I said they were going to go eight that year I said I think it's going to be a pretty good year I think the small amount of EV we've done it's same thing as your take we've brought back a lot of the core when healthy we have a really good defense and offense is is when you have the so that was kind of my my take on that season and then obviously they lost so many games so many games last minut they lost so many and it was to the point where it was just not not aable and then still obviously F and yeah they're kind of example like NFL season till last year is the first like 2020 obviously playoffs right the 2020 2021 season yeah Co year they make play steers but like the this last two three seasons the first time the Browns been good like honestly good in and that's that's the thing they didn't go up the team and they mediocre they have 10 season so thinkc yeah and I think you know that division is going to be I think it it'll level itself off but I don't think the Steelers are ever going to really drop off unless all the core guys are down for an extended period of time but and that's the beautiful thing you never and it sucks to say because like your core is great and I'm not and I'm not discounting that's that's my also also I'm never high on rookie pick in the first three picks because you have so many Demarcus rles yeah that's going to be a debate for another day um that's that's the other thing value yeah I think I think we're at a good point to call
