[Music] hey welcome to talking Hawks we are on a high what a win what a win to celebrate as we keep our finals chances alive huge win against Caron round 22 to the tune of 74 points how are you Lo how did you uh enjoy that game yeah absolutely awesome um couldn't make it unfortunately but watching it at home I could just feel the energy at the ground from the hwk supporters and yeah what an amazing game as I put out a tweet um just after the game finished like not even in my wildest dreams could I have expected that 74 Point result to happen like to jump ahead of them on percentage was just unbelievable like the hearing the cheers go around the ground when Gunston kicked that goal it was like chills seriously I wish I could prove it to you but I spoke to Mitch before the game and I said I could I could see a blowout either way and I said he goes Noah only carton will blow us out we won't blow I said no I can see he's winning 40 plus and he goes oh not no way so I called it yep tick there's there's one for you already Chris good work but yeah not not me like I just yeah minimal minimal confidence I thought we could get them in a close one um but yeah thought yeah I thought they would they would come out um really angry after last week but just really gave nothing and you know they can have the excuses of the injuries which sure in that second half but that first half they had just the one and they they still looked as bad like especially that second quarter so yeah I mean just unbelievable performance it I said um last week that it had to take our best performance of the year to get this win and to get our finals hopes back in um get us back in contention after the um two-point loss to gws and that's absolutely what it took today and yeah this is definitely one we won't forget for a while yeah it was sort of uh what what we sort of expected you just discussed it last week how you bounced back from A Loss um and a game that really hurt to lose and yeah the boys couldn't have really performed much better it was a four quarter performance and probably I would say the best four quarter performance we've done all year really in years in years they come out and challenged this for a good five or 10 minutes after halftime and then we just managed to they they got the ball got it in the 50 but we just restricted them and they couldn't couldn't hit the scoreboard yeah Matt said last week that we do respond after those agonizing I guess losses the close ones are the ones against our rivals in jalong we did respond the week after after and I wasn't as confident but Matt was and yeah congrats to him as well because he called it too all right well we'll take it away with this but before we do uh they say the Premiership quarter is the third quarter and that is true but I feel like this game was set up in the second quarter to keep them goal us and keep five goals that was really the Catalyst that sort of got us going yeah yeah it looked good we did really well as I said we started hot kicking the first two then they pulled us back a little bit kicking the next few but yeah for them to score what three goals in the first quarter and then two the entire rest of the game is yeah unbelievable like I thought our backline would really struggle you know not necessarily in transition but when it went inside and besides yeah the first 10 minutes where Harry mcki looked really good um after that yeah they couldn't do much at all all right Sean's giv us uh a first discussion Point uh which I think does need to be talked about that ball movement is cating what do you tell me what you think yeah it's just so so good to watch I mean the kick out that from I was it Amon who started it and then just three kicks bang goal like you you rarely ever see that and then another play again from their defensive 50 where we just handall handall handall goal like it yeah it we looked Unstoppable at times which is something we haven't looked you know we've been good this especially this year but we haven't looked Unstoppable like that in years yes no it was just yeah when they link up and run it's really good to see and I think that's what Mitchell was trying to get them to do from the word go when he started coming as coach and it's finally uh paying off now yeah don't know about this time is that even possible I'm sure there's some scenarios but um yeah let's just look in the eight and I think what we've got to do as Hawks fans is not yet way ahead of ourselves yes that was a massive win win celebrate that but we cannot go into the next two games being like don't worry we've already locked them up we've already got them you know we can't can't always go into that that can that's what cartton did they were 11 and four they thought yep we just got to get to the Grand Final and now look where they are so we don't want to get into that mindset we want to make sure that we pull up and um yeah have some good performances over the next two weeks as well but yeah just really good really good to see them in the eighth but we'll see we'll see if we can get higher up to what I did like to see at the end of the game they came into the rooms and as much as they were happy it was really just they yeah it was contained they weren't getting carried away with themselves they obviously knew it was a good win and something they needed to do so it was good that they didn't yeah overreact and it it yeah it was really contained and I think it was a really good uh attitude to have M yeah I I noticed that too like you know I was screaming at the song out but like I could tell the boys yeah we slightly more reserved I think Sammy Mitchell was the one most up and about in that goal song when he went over to give it to um Marv or tro but yeah it was good to see yeah see them take that um mentality that they've had all year even in the losses the 80 Point losses at the start of the year it's we 24 hours to either celebrate celebrate or feel bad for ourselves and then on to next week which I think is been yeah has been working for us so far all right there's been a few names mentioned so I think we'll start talking about the players where are we first who did you have before I click anybody who did you have to spoil the MVP as your our best on ground very hard very hard today it's so it's so tricky there's a whole bunch of them wed masimo Sicily um those are the names that stick out to me I mean imp isn't another one who I'm calling a sneaky chance for that top three finish in the Peter KMS medal he's been insanely consistent um and I just yeah he's just so dominant like down that backline which I didn't think we'd get to see the best of imp again after his few injuries in a row but he's this is as best as he's ever performed for hawor I agree with that so Craigs got M as his best and pretty hard to argue um like they said they uh whatever the uh AFL stats no not AFL stats but the uh no it's lost me uh Champion data have him currently ranked as the second uh wingman in the league which is absolutely amazing for the uh Bargain Basement with cost us but um he's had a couple of quiet weeks but it was good to see him really get back to his best yeah yep he's like yeah what a pickup you can only say that so many times but I think it's absolutely deserved for him like just so good and I would love to see if he could get into that you know 40 squad for um the all Australian because if they are being serious and they want to pick some actual role players in their position then he yet he's got to be a lock as one of the wingmen there will be a riot there will be a hathon riot if he is not picked in the 40 yeah yeah you'd hope so all right Jeb has ja and I'm contemplating it because watching the game before I look at the stats I probably had Jazz's my best on as well yeah his defensive capabilities like interset marking it's just yeah so good for someone his height and his run and his accuracy it's it's like that half back line is so strong for us at the moment and it really gets a lot of our um scores going that's where they start from well I think Sam summed that up pretty well in the Press and he said the forwards get the plits the probably the mids as well but the defense always sort of get a little bit uh forgotten and not rewarded for their efforts and the way they're playing and just working as a team like they were so undersized against maai and kerau but they got the job done and obviously KERO went down with that injury which was sad to see but um yeah yeah that just the way they work as a group is phenomenal yeah yeah exactly I mean I've listened to you know a little bit of what blue supporters have been saying on social media and stuff and it's just like they they were kind of playing as a as a bunch of individuals today like a lot of if you're looking at cartton side of the game a lot of them was you know bit of selfish play from them and when we and they were envious a lot of them were envious of how we are playing as a team you know um the commentary talked about how we have the like our leading disposal getter for the year on average is John yuk with about 23 which is the lowest by any club but that really shows you know how much our contribution is spread out amongst all of our players and all of the list that as well that's got um that's got in a game over across this year yep absolutely accurate there and as we've seen Daisy had a bit of a quiet one today and uh got subbed off early we've been told there is no injury concern it was just having a little bit of a down day and they may as well just rest him up put him in uh cotton wo save him for the next couple of weeks yeah be interested to see your thoughts on this one Lloyd M I thought he did quite well but I was very surprised at one of the stats I've seen but I'll let you talk about that first yeah interested to hear what that one is but I thought mck did a really good job today he was kind of in some areas like that extra midfielder for us which for someone his side size is unbelievable um maybe I haven't looked at the hit out and stats or anything like that but I feel like maybe he got slightly beat in terms of hit outs but you know pid's a big guy um but yeah the what he would do on the ground was Leaps and Bounds ahead of you know that opposition and he was yeah doing a lot of good things and tackling and putting pressure on which yeah you don't often see for someone that size so just quickly clicked it up uh pinet 26 hit outs to Lloyd makes 21 but the St that I've seen which popped up on the screen in the Box um pitnet had six hit outs to Advantage to Lloyd Meeks one and I think that was in the second quarter so I didn't actually notice it but yeah I really quite surprised by that so but yeah like you said what he does on the ground um is just new another midfielder for the group and pit doesn't really do that for Caron yeah exactly so looking at the stats now pit finished with 11 hit outs to Advantage and make with the six but yeah it didn't didn't matter in the end at all because he if you know if pit and a could tap it down to Someone Like A Crips or a Walsh you know often there's Meek there tackling or at least getting a finger to him to put some pressure on which was yeah really good to see so man of the moment which I think has uh definitely deserves his plot it's kelia di been absolutely amazing and unfortunately they kept subbing him off subbing off and I was getting frustrated I'm like they need to play a full game so they did that today talking about riots he rising star on this week come on yeah absolutely definitely deserved for dear he's um hadn't kicked over two game uh two goals so he's finally ticked that over um which you feel been coming for for a while and yeah it's yeah he's the one that you're like he's kind of the embodiment of this Hawthorne side because the fact that he went from not even really being on too many r does even before the draft we knew he was coming in probably as that father son but you know project player maybe in three or four years time we'll see him get a game but how quickly he's come on just you know just like this side is yeah unbelievable like he looks amazing and he's really been that kill key pillar of that um forward line which is yeah unbelievable to even think about compared to at the start of the year yeah his ability to land on his feet or even if he hits the ground he gets up twice as quick as his opponent and it's just so valuable thanks for joining us Scotty I've seen you are posting a nice picture of your meals today in the Box well done mate you did it in style today yep there was a yeah looked to be a lot of people I saw a few videos of those C supporters leaving three quter time it's not not a good look for them I'm sure now all right we'll keep it in order that's not quite order but we'll stick with more now that I've clicked it he's having a season isn't he absolutely and if that yeah we know that jacket's locked away that all Australian jacket it just has to be um and he just keeps showing up week after week like he's not going to put in a bad performance for the rest of the year I'm sure like he's so so consistence like maximum effort every every game and the ultimate team player he's yeah one of the best and I think it would be you know I love Daisy I do but I think if he's not the next Captain maybe I don't know what we're doing seriously like he's he bleeds brown and gold and yeah I want to see him get that honor when you know whenever Sicily feels like it's time to call it finish with 29 disposal is so just sneakes up on you cuz I would if you asked me how many you had I would have been you maybe low 20s yeah maybe 20ish but yeah ni he's absolute Superstar and that's including um chinot their tager going to him for periods of time who's you know and not no disrespect to him he's not the best player but he's been a decent tagger and been able to hold you know some of the League's best to low very low disposals so for Mo to still break out of that superb job now this guy is just brings another Dynamic to our team w three goals playing in defense like he literally wasn't even thrown forward he just kic three goals from defense yeah how good is he and then that goal from the pocket oh oh my God yeah oh I saw the uh the video of the call from the scn um the scn Hawthorne calling with Dipper and um qus and a few of those guys but it was just yeah an insane goal like how is that even possible for someone like him like it's just so yeah his his form and the way he plays foot is just like you just know he's going to be good and I wonder this has been in the back of my mind for couple of weeks now since we've heard the barass and the battle and you'd think you'd think we we're getting one of them at least do we swing you know W or forward next year is that what it is because when he's playing lockdown he's not as involved as much as we'd like so I I want to see him having games like this a lot more often I think we see that if he's playing forward so I don't know that that's something they'll think about um I don't think he'll yeah have some time in the Midfield next year or because I know that's been called for but yeah just to get him slightly more involved and Ki him kicking more goals and it's a beautiful kick like just so so um reliable in front of goal which yeah you wouldn't think for someone who's played off the back line for a while now not comparing him to this guy but he's got similar traits buddy Franklin I knew you w size and his speed and the way he just takes opponents on and runs around him um yeah I could see him playing forward and just wreaking havoc such a strong Mark too um yeah I mean the 23 helps the imagination a little bit with that comparison but yeah I think he he looks so good so I would love love to see that change made up next year yeah all right Liam fox has mentioned Char yes did you see him dance around those players oh I've seen it the last six six or eight weeks yes he just yeah he loves to do it and he loves a good chase down tackle inside 50 and yeah he's he's been another Elite pickup um at the club and we've got consistent markers in that forward line now Cho can take a mark and um Deary can take a nice Mark as well which we haven't had for a while so it feels really good if you know I can see one of them jumping up for the ball that they're probably going to take a nice strong contested grab sorry Nick I'll quickly go back to the W comparison yeah I do like the kuruda comparison um sorry I hadn't seen your message um so CH was quite influential today and I just had a look before five disposals oh if you if you asked me I would have said 10 yeah yeah shows how uh how important he is to our structure and yeah he doesn't need to get disposals same as kelshia he can have a low disposal game and have a big impact on us SC gol Watson's also the um another type of guy I mean I know he got quite a few today I think maybe 15 plus something like 16 17 but um he been His Highest disposal so this his career Aran guess um without without the ball he's another one that just lays on the pressure a I'm sure he was up there today if I have a look in a sec but yeah and as the comment says he definitely deserved the goal it looked like he was close all day but just didn't fall for him in the end yeah no he really set the tone early because some of those pressure acts early just put cartton really under the pump and he was not causing direct turnovers but causing them to to fumble and yeah he he created a lot for us uh just by his pressure yeah for sure and even if one or two players put on the pressure it you know gives a you know the feeling to carton that they're always going to be under pressure and then they turn it over which we saw a lot today so spoiler alert for anyone who doesn't want to know who we interview our post game and release tomorrow close your ears but Harry Morrison Harry Morrison what a game came in uh as a late inclusion for CJ who who did train and got through the session but uh Sam said in the presser that had a chat with him and he's like what do you think and he was like well yeah how important is it do you play and he's like oh look for for the long term maybe we miss this one and uh yeah just be cautious which was very wise for like he wanted to play you know he wanted to of course yeah yeah and but now like how do you you can't kick out Harry Morrison after that game and you're not getting rid of Dan brosio like it's getting real hard to secure a spot on the team isn't it yeah so for yeah for a while now I think um CJ's had some good moments and he had a very good game uh a few weeks ago but you know I've seen Harry just dominate at vfl every week and even when he comes into the side he still performs very well so I think right now even before the this game but this game really puts the cherry on the top is that I think Morrison needs to be in this side right now over CJ CJ will come on soon whether he needs to not necessarily he needs to be dropped he's not playing that bad but just maybe go back to the vfl and have a bit of you know confidence and get that back back just because I think he's lacking it just slightly um compared to what we've seen when he's like fully fit and obviously if he was a late out today he's still slightly struggling a little bit but yeah um as I see one of the comments there it' be 100 games for Harry next week and we should see him run out for that for sure and not be the sub or not be you know subbed off unless anything drastic happens so yeah a few few clubs sniffing around to maybe if he's looking at um which would be disappointing because like he's just really gotten better season by season and like that smother he made in the first quarter just put his body like just threw everything at it it was amazing um but and then he got what kicked that goal early as well I think yeah K Go game yeah just really solid and even same as what CJ's doing uh running into space drawing players away to create space for teammates to get the ball so it's not just what he does with the ball himself but and and I think he got a few nice tackles too like quality game yeah y he's he's got both aspects of the game he can do the defensive stuff and he's a very good kick most of the time um and he's got quick hands so he can get that hand ball away and he knows he knows the game style like really well because he knows when to handall off to the guy running along next to him and always hits those so yeah yeah he's got a big tank he runs all day so I guess the difference between like you said he pushes he's probably a little bit more defensive than CJ but CJ's got a bit of X Factor it's a really hard two different two different totally different players but both bring good qualities to the team MH yeah all right McKenzie how do you rate his game today and I had this discussion with Timmy I was like it really is a race between McKenzie and Ward isn't it um and I thought Ward had done really well since coming back into the team um but at the end of the day Timmy sort of said Who uses the ball better or like who's got more X Factor and yes I probably say it's McKenzie over Ward but um yeah how did or more specifically Nick asked us how did you rate his game today yeah I think that's the thing that's the thing isn't it um Ward and McKenzie the kind of been the two fighting out all year for that last Midfield spot and McKenzie can kind of play that Wing is role um or slash High how forward that goes you know moves with the contest he can play that better than Ward can because Ward's really excels when he's in that playing that inside midfielder accumulator role at boxill and he's always on the outside um at when he comes up to the AFL level and it's just necessarily not his go well as I said he has played a few good games this year but just yeah maybe a little bit down last week and I think as you said McKenzie does have that um yeah a little bit of X Factor a little bit faster maybe slightly more you know footy IQ um so and yeah as Daryl said he I do think he suits our style better sorry I'm going to have to uh I am actually minutes behind these comments but I'm trying not to miss them um what do you think oh nobody's mentioned it that I've seen But Gunston had a four-week rest um I think they saved him specifically to play gws and and play on Taylor which what phenomenal job he did and again to play that role on weering today which didn't always get the matchup but he did for certain portions of the game but I thought Gunner played a huge role today but that last quarter I and he was looking pretty tired it wouldn't surprise me if they rest him this week yeah um I that would make sense um bring someone someone like a CJ back in and just reshuffle um but yeah I think he um yeah he looks he looks good I I want him to go around another year maybe that's a romantic in me but his um the stuff he does off field is so important and even if he does take those few week breaks you know he only plays 12 or so games next year maybe it's still so important and when he does play he kicks multiple goals like he's still able to get on the end of stuff and it's not just him you know he gets a couple standing in the goal square but it's still him like doing all this work off the ball and telling you know helping dear where to lead and what channels to take and yeah he looks it's yeah as I said I wanted to go around next year hopefully yep so Wayne reckons unchanged and I do like that and Sam sort of stuck with that a lot of times during the year when we've won and kept the same team but um yeah I think we will go unchange unless we do see someone like a Gunston get rested um because yeah Sammy has stuck with the team that's won basically every week andless has been injuries all right finding the next one Nashi Nashi did get mentioned earlier but this is the one right in front of me today like nashi's involvement offensive chains yeah he he's I think he's really improved on that link up and knowing how to move the ball yeah picking the right options y definitely that's exactly what I was about to say he's even in the space of a month he's improved on that which is good to see um great that we' signed him up um 2029 I think it is because yeah he's very important part of that Midfield and he does some good work in the Rock and is a big body to match up on the those likes of Crips and bond and you know Loy Neil and those that can really um you know push push against opposition midfields that are like slightly smaller or skinnier so it's good that we have that guy in there to really lay a body on and put some pressure with you know the 100 kilos that he waste and I can't pass up this comment Lauren sorry you've got a compliment here nice BR here thank you yes I did get a change I think I saw someone say um brown hair for you know brown and gold and I said yep had had the you know the gold hair last week the brown hair this week can't help it beautiful um oh there you go and again thank you getting lots of flets thank you um where do we go next all right just scrolling yes uh we can talk about this quickly while I keep scrolling yeah yeah that's true we've got um box still have a very tricky game next week against where it be it will be at home um so hopefully we can a few people can get down there but yeah I think um it'll be a tricky one but hopefully we should already be locked into finals haven't 100% checked it checked that out but as long as we finish top six we in there and let's see if we can get a home final as well but yeah it's going to be a tough tough day again well tough opposition in worby who sit the top of the ladder and have looked really good all year now Tom has made a a big bow call and I do like it and it had crossed my mind scath to get a game and I wouldn't mind seeing it just to see how it goes at AFL level just in case they need to call up for finals or you might go okay well maybe we'll throw W forward because what G's not up for it or you know I would like to see him maybe played in the next couple of games just to see if he's up for the challenge yeah with um with potentially get the rest of Gunston or maybe a Bruce or I don't know even a Kad deer who's you know still a very young kid so could be getting tired this time of year did play a full game this week so they could so I could see that happening but I don't know I'm I'm not sure that forward line is working so so well at the moment I'm not sure whether they bring a whole new big body in one of the small swapping in and out is a different story but yeah that big body to come in might um change it up a little bit too much at this time of year um you know if it was last year we knew we couldn't make finals definitely get him in but you know it's very important that we keep this Synergy of this team together and despite how well scap has looked at the vfl maybe it's just yeah just not the time at the moment but you know if if he's in I'll be I'll be you know cheering him on and happy to see it now Eddie's posing another question and I think I know my answer what do you what do you think yeah as I just said the Synergy of the team but you know it's Wingard he can do crazy things and I think if he's the could be the perfect submaterial yes not a bad option um if I had to say I would say no I know he's just had another injury so just to get back witness it's just a little bit too much of a risk and like said he is he is phenomenal he does some crazy things and he's got that X Factor as well but no I wouldn't oh there you go Tim mre's with us as well wouldn't have thought so yeah all right it's getting closer bruy yes it would be um for anyone that doesn't know we would have to get through an elimination final and get yeah to the qualifying final the next week that would be his three 300 so we'd have to win one final which would take us to Bruce 300th so yeah would be good to see or you know it' be also wouldn't be that bad to see it round one against EST when we beat them by you know 10 goals yes would be a a nice nice reward for effort and uh give us an extra incentive to win his 300S for sure all right looking for more any players you can think of that that we haven't really covered um I think there's a few um a few like this one talking about seac who you're saying he was quieted today but I feel like he was still you know still had the 25 disposals like that's that's a big game for for um half forward so yeah I think maybe slightly quieter because we've seen over the last few weeks you know the peak of his performance with a few goals and stuff but I still thought he did really well to today like he he's another one of those small forwards like that work their butt off all day and you know he got the 25 disposal so he got the reward for it but sometimes you don't and um couldn't couldn't get that goal unfor like couldn't get a goal unfortunately but you know he did a lot of put on a lot of effort for sure now uh one of our overseas followers Brett Leah thanks for joining us mate uh will mccab you played about three three games now maybe D in a Box Hill yeah um haven't watched four games I've just watched little bits and pieces but he's looking good yeah yep from um he's played a couple of like a half a game then played a little bits of some full games and yeah as he's been looking pretty good like I don't think you know we we definitely won't see him this year but with another full pre-season I think yeah he could be yeah he could could be anything really he just has got the um got the you know the fit and the the body and the mind to I think you know that footy IQ to really be anything but it's just yeah it's a tricky spot because he's not really that Lockdown Defender he's not that you know main key guy who can go in for frost or for a blank or something like that he's more of that yeah intercept type scrimshaw siisy type guy so yeah it'll be interesting to see where he fits if he does get in Edd's Edd's gone deep today he's given us a few ker Stevens um I think he's put together a few solid games at Box Hill level um but I'm still just thinking he's not quite especially with our Midfield at the moment like I don't think anybody can get a look in yep we've got that one spot and we already talked about it going in between McKenzie and Ward all year and unfortunately it's kind of been like that the entire time for Cooper S since he's come to the club and not that want to talk about look into the future too much or but I I believe his contract is out this year um so I'm not sure whether we see him um playing at AFL level for Hawthorne nobody's got super super excited today but Troy has let the lid off has the done the lad predictor having us at sixth playing hon which would be pretty interesting after what we did to them today yeah yeah I know it's hopefully yeah just got to get the two next two wins I'm one week at a time I've done the lad predictor a million times I said you know if we lose if we lose today I don't I don't have to look at it anymore but now I'm back to it you know seeing where we can finish I think I think we're looking like to play Someone Like A Carlton or a Frio or a even a jalong Brisbane someone who finishes in fifth um if we finish eighth so yeah it'll be the doggies even as well um it'll be very interesting but if we can would love to get a game at the G you know so if we have to play carton to do that even if it's their home game well you know can't LGE along I don't know but there too far in the too far ahead we got to make sure we're making finals first and that's by beating Richmond in north in the next two weeks yep I agree there um someone we haven't covered today I know scrimshaw had quite a solid game but what surprised me the most he had nine scor involvements so coming from the backline and being so attacking I was really impressed with that fact of him uh yeah adding that to his game today yeah if if you look at the score involvement stat I encourage anyone to um to go onto their AFL app or their AFL website I believe now if I've counted this correctly I think it's out of the 22 um 22 top players in score invol R we had 19 out of the 22 which wow we know they didn't score that many goals but it just shows you as I said at the start of the live stream how we are really playing as a team compared to maybe cartton who are a little bit too focused on the individual at the moment so they've yeah they've really um really want to get each other a goal it's not just me me me I want to kick all the goals it's whatever our best shot is we'll find it and we'll handle our way there yeah and I think that um we get those stats based on the way we're moving the ball as well um whereas I think if it's just a sort of a slower ball movement and a kick and a Mark or from further down the ground that's probably not going to count but when it's a Link Link Link goal I think those ones do do count yeah exactly and that would yeah definitely Elevate those numbers but really damning stat for CT I'm sure oh another interesting scenario there Grand Final that's that's probably a little bit too far Nick but hey we love the um we love off yeah we love the excitement and you know what I mean if that was to happen you know who knows anyway love to see it would love to say it look I I do think it's a possibility the way we're playing um like you said we're not relying on certain people it's a real spread effort across the field um I don't think there's a team in the eight that we can't beat on our day so yeah yes it is very exciting times and today was just that you know just the confirmation that we know we can do it and the boys belief the belief now with the run home you got to be thinking we're playing finals yeah yeah exactly just no silly mistakes coming up against 17th and 18 more Richmond I'm hopefully not too worri you know not should we should get the win there really we should because they they don't necessarily want to win any more games they wouldn't want to move off bottom spot or anything like that so we should get the win there but yeah North North can sometimes be really you know can really have a crack and I think yeah it's good that it's in our tazi in L cant which we've played at superbly well all year all right we're getting closer to the end of the show guys but uh waro was fantastic today um just really impressed and discussed with Timmy today how much better he lowers his eyes kicking into the forward line and that that composure not blasting away it's it's really added to his game yeah if you go rewatch the first two or three games when warer was even still getting his best on ground by the way um he was a lot of get the ball and just bombit in the air inside 50 without even looking and now yeah in just you know that four or five months he's really as he said lowered his eyes and it's helped um helped outside immensely but yeah Daz has talked about saw him talk about on Twitter how war is gone to beit underrated because he just even though he's one of you know the stars of this Midfield there's mukim and there's day even Nash who all kind of get talked up whereas waral is just week in week out you know 20 two disposals all that all that stuff and getting a lot of score involvements as we said so I think yet another one that's gone underrated and as we know we probably finish probably finish high in the PCM as well especially after those early performances where he really stood up when the team was down I agree with you there it's going to be a fantastic pedms medal a weapon isn't he he I know but when he gets the ball it's just exciting yeah yeah I know and that new haircut slowly growing on me I think he just he looks very clean now and whenever he gets the ball you can see um how quickly he's going and how much you know how much strength he has in his upper body so yeah he's another one like that's just we in Wake out like so many guys are like that now where it's just like you can rely on them every week um and that whole Midfield as a whole you know we had one down game from day to day out of the Midfield and that can happen um maybe he was slightly sore I don't know but even it means we've got you know three other blocks to stand up same as kind of last week where we did look good in the Midfield until that last quarter yep all right I think we might round off with this man Captain Courageous keeps doing it hoping his shoulders just getting stronger and stronger every week um does look like he's a little bit more uh involved in the contests and not avoiding him like he did for a couple of weeks so that's a positive but um yes he was undersized and had to I don't necessarily know if he was directly matched up with Mai or if he was just well chopping out for one of the other boys they what it yeah what it looked to be in that first quarter was Frost was playing on the deepest forward and because KERO was carrying that injury it was kerer and yeah they had sisly tracking on Mai which was probably yeah not the best matchup um it just yeah didn't look the best for the first 10 15 minutes I'm pretty sure at quarter quarter time they readjusted where to where I saw scrim Shaw um a lot more on Harry and moving up and so I think they did kind of move his role off him uh and then he got a lot more involved in the game while by being that kind of you know Third Man up down there so yeah it was good to see they adjusted that because yeah didn't look the best in that first 10 minutes yeah I thought that was a real feature of today's game being that second and third man up uh clear we need it against their tall forwards and it didn't matter who it was whether it was Hardwick yeah Hardwick Hardwick and imp were like two yeah two that came over the top in so many contests which we just didn't see last week which is the major frustration for me um and I needed to see it worked on this week and we definitely did it wasn't just by our tools it was by the smalls as well even Massimo like aim on coming across yeah it's what we needed to see and how we won and yeah we did Harry Morrison did it as well put his body on the line Y one percenters we're loving it that's what's uh making our team so exciting yeah exactly that's that's a big thing and I wouldn't be surprised if Sam Mitchell's the type of Coach to really focus on a stat like that um so yeah it's good to I'm it's good to see that the team's really um you know laying on those stats because we it's a very important one um especially in a game especially for a team like us that plays off momentum and pressure um not necessarily you know we aren't the most talented Squad in the league but we build that pressure and lay tackles and as you said one percenters and yeah it's that's how we're winning our games and we need to keep that up especially if we make finals and get into a final cuz that's all finals eyes pressure pressure pressure oh Tomas be us to the punch was just about to move on to next week versus Richmond um I guess there's always a little bit of danger in every game but you would think the way we've played last two weeks even though we lost to gws We we played bloody good footy um yes yes and I would think it's more a matter of by how much Sunday Sunday 3:20 if you can get to the MCG get along mhm yep we used to you you know in the last few years we've been the team to upset people's finals run so now that we're kind of on the other side we need to not let that happen and yes we should be we should be winning this game and we should be winning it you know by five plus goals um I mean 200 is probably a little bit much but um yeah as you said you just can't can't go into a game Thinking you've a automatically won it which is I um for Sam Mitchell I'm sure he won't let that happen so I think yeah those you know we got that we beat them by what 50 60 points in their massive one game or year so we should be doing replicating that again yep absolutely agree with that um so hopefully that just boosts that percentage a little bit more and just secures uh that top eight position and then traveling down to uh what' you say laest and for kangaroos in the last which I guess they've they've picked up a little bit of form um and again just a little bit dangerous I guess with Clark wanting some Revenge but um yeah well clar's yet to yet to get one over Sam I mean I I have um heard a very you know through the great V SL rumor that maybe sheel pulled up quite sore um from that game so he did get I think a kick in the shin or something or step on the ankle or something like that in the game that he played on the weekend so um which is sad for him because I love watching him play but you know if they if they're missing she is all in that last round then we I think we should be okay but yeah that as I said they can they can show up but I think especially down in in our tazzy in leston we should get there as well but one week at a time all right any last thoughts anything you want to add before we uh finish up the stream no I just think yeah can't believe what a win um definitely one I want to rewatch and they've got I saw scn posted the full audio file of the you know Hawthorne live commentary um so I think I might yeah might go and sync that one up and have a listed to the game with their commentary I would love I would love to do it for the carton commentary too I could see you know seeing the videos of them in two boxes right next to each other with big pain of clear glass in between them and the difference in how they were reacting it was pretty funny um but yeah just really good to see and I think give a shout out to the six points podcast which
