all right with Chloe Chan the badger women's golf team here at the final round of the LPGA Epson tour qualifying school out in California even par 72 it's a qualifier you put yourself in position to go out and just take care of business with a a good uh solid round did you feel it was as solid as you wanted being an even par um I mean there are obviously a lot of Miss opportunities but also a lot of mistakes so um yeah just kind of glad that I like handled myself out there and just played even par it could have been lot lot better it could have been a lot worse but yeah I'll take this I was struck following you on your last night I mean you you you are the same no matter what's going on I mean you were almost never out of position and when you were just a little bit you just you you worked yourself out of it uh is that always been a strength of your game to never get too high too low um I think that's something that I've been working on just because I know that staying constant is kind of like my happy Zone sure so just making sure that my emotions don't go all the way up when I make a birdie and then all the way down when I make a b you really helps of just kind of accepting and moving on from whatever happened from the last hole yeah how how tough was it to you know not chase a good score after having a couple of good ones here this week knowing that all you had to do was hold position and you're going on to the next stage um I think it was just it helped me through like just accepting a birdie put that I might have missed um definitely missed a lot out there short ones as well but then just helped me get frutos really quickly and just focus on the next shot and next hole what did you learn the most about yourself this week um that I'm very much capable of doing well in this game and uh with the conditions out here being so hot and stuff um I'm just really glad that I was able to put together four good rounds and get myself through did you talked about a lot this week about you know this is a chance to compare yourself to professionals and others that you played with when you saw the other people you play with their games um what I guess impressed you about the proximity of your game to theirs I mean did you think it was greater or did you think that maybe this was not such a big leap after all um I think one thing that really blew me away this week was that how well everybody actually hits the ball that's true um barely anyone misses the green which I'm really surprised about and obviously their short game is just amazing um so I think those are a few that I need to tidy up as well and just when I do have the opportunity I do like maximize it and not like leaving leaving it up there but yet at the you know on that last line of your of the hottest uh four days of golf probably you've ever played you were right there with everybody I mean everybody in your group was you know pretty much spot on there were a couple you know in the bunkers but not many I mean it was almost you almost feed off of that don't you yeah um it's always great to play with UTS that are actually playing better than you because you want to keep up with them and you want to do better than them so yeah it's always nice to play with some different players and see how their style of golf works on different courses yeah have you looked ahead to this uh second stage of of this process how it you know lines up with your school schedule and uh and and how will you maybe prepare for what's ahead um I think the second stage is actually right in between our last two events of the fall so it doesn't Clash of anything um and then I think just continuing with what I'm doing right now and there'll be plenty of golf for me to play this fall anyway so I think I'll be in pretty good shape do you I I would I would hope that you fancied yourself one of the leaders on this team given that you're going to be you know a senior um but does this kind of um make you even more excited to take this experience I mean this is something that you know until you've gone through it you really don't know what it's about you handle it really well you can go back and and and share with others what uh you know what allowed you know everybody in this field to you know hit Fairways hit greens under extreme heat extreme pressure um yeah uh I really do look forward going back and this time being a senior is definitely going to be a little bit different but um I look forward to taking on this leadership role with my other seniors and um I think that we have a really great team coming in this year and I think we'll do great as as a team for the entire season yeah and you went through this this week all by yourself there was nobody else here um I am staying with a friend who's also playing she played this morning and okay yeah we're just with each other we just whenever we go back we make dinner and stuff so what's her name she's called Jenny ding also from Hong Kong okay nice um and when do you head back to Madison tomorrow tomorrow yes you're not going to like this it's it's a heat index of 100 tomorrow back there really yes from the frying pan to the fire you're that's supposed to be cool back there yeah I was kind of expecting it to be like Fall by the time I get back oh God okay well maybe maybe uh maybe it'll pass it's supposed to be tomorrow for sure and but I haven't seen I I saw that on on Twitter I'm going oh no after you know you guys had uh you know dealt with here this is going to be hot but I mean have you ever golfed in hotter but than this um I want to say 80° plus humidity is actually worse than this yeah yeah I definitely do not like the community I think this is a little bit more bearable I think so well it certainly looked like it and you played a great week call congratulations Chloe and good luck to the next stage thank you
