BREAKING NEWS: George R.R. Martin Exposed House of the Dragon's Writer | HBO Made Him Delete Blog!?

Game of Thrones in A Song of Ice and Fire fans are divided once again now that Fire and Blood Author George R Martin has shared some of his thoughts about House of the Dragon second season as you can imagine his new update has sent shock waves throughout the fandom in a shocking new update George rart not only highlighted some of the issues he has with the show but he also revealed some alarming information about the next season in fact he even revealed a major scene from season 3 this update is unlike anything he has ever shared before as I was making this video I noticed he actually went back and deleted the entire blog that's all right though because I already recorded everything he said now let's go over what he said because there is a lot to discuss I will share some of my own thoughts as we go over the blog he said back in July I wanted to share some further thoughts about blood and cheese and mord the missing after my commentary on the first two episodes of f of the Dragon season 2 a son for a son and rero the cruel those were great episodes that were well written and well directed it was a great way to start off the new season fans and critics alike seem to agree there was only one aspect of the episodes that received significant criticism and that was the handling of blood and cheese and the death of Jar's from the commentary I saw online the fans were divided the readers of Fire and Blood found the sequence underwhelming and watered down from what they were expecting now the fans who had not read Fire and Blood did not share the same issues most of them found the sequence to be a real tragedy that was horrifying and nightmarish I was one of the fans who did not love the version in the show however with that being said I was still mostly satisfied with how they ended that episode it might not have been exactly what I wanted but I wasn't that upset about it either he goes on to say in Fire and Blood aegon and Helena have three children not two when blood and cheese break in on Helena and the kids they tell her they are Deb collectors who are there to exact revenge for the death of lucer it was an event known as a son for a son as Helena has two sons however they demand that she chose which one should die at first she does resent and offer her own life instead but the killers insist it has to be a son and if she does not name one they will kill all three of the children now in order to save the life of Jaris and Jara Helena named her youngest son malor however blood kills the older boy jares instead while cheese tells little mord that his mother wanted him dead that's not how it happens in the show as you all know there is no mord in House of the dragon and in the scene of the show blood isn't sure which child is Jar's or Jara so Helena is asked to reveal which one is the boy now instead of offering her own life to save them Helena offers them a necklace as you can imagine blood and cheese are not satisfied with that offer that's when blood saws off the head of little jares in Fire and Blood he lops off the head with a sword it is a bloody scene no doubt hell not an innocent child is being butchered in front of his mother I still believe the scene in Fire and Blood is much better I would also suggest that Helena shows more courage and more strength in my book by offering her own life to save her son offer offering a necklace is not the same as I saw it the Sophie's Choice aspect was the strongest part of the sequence the darkest and the most visceral I hated to lose that and judging from the comments I saw online most of the fans seemed to agree when Ryan first told me that's what he meant to do ages ago I argued against it for all these reasons I did not argue long or with much heat however now this is what I don't understand I don't see why he doesn't stand his ground during these discussions as the author of The Source material he should be making demands knowing how much this will affect the show down the line haven't we already dealt with this before during the making a Game of Thrones let's also not forget it was George R Martin who wanted Ryan to be the headwriter and shunner of House of the Dragon they are friends or at least they were back then when they were developing the Show's first season since they are friends it should not be that hard for him to get Ryan to understand why certain things have to stay in the show for whatever reason he doesn't fully Express these feelings in the moment when he should instead he would rather share these Thoughts with all the fans after the fact when he knows they're already very upset about the season as a whole I couldn't help but wonder how HBO would react to him sharing all the information I'm sure they're the reason why he deleted the blog I would bet they got him on the phone immediately after they saw this update now he goes on to say the budget was already an issue on House of the Dragon it made sense to save money wherever we could moreover Ryan assured me that we were not losing meor he only wanted to delay his introduction Ryan said Helena could still give birth to him in season 3 I assumed she would get pregnant near the end of the second season it made sense to me so I withheld my objections I still love the episode and the blood and shees sequence overall losing the Helena's choice however did weaken the scene but not to any great degree only the book readers would even notice its absence fans who had never read Fire and Blood would still find the scene's heart wrenching mord did not actually do anything in the scene after all how could he he was only a little kid there is however another aspect to the removal of M those of you who ate spoilers should stop reading here spoilers will follow at least for the readers among you sometime between the initial decision to remove malor a big change was made malor was no longer going to be delayed until season 3 he was never going to be born at all the younger son of aegon and Helena would never make it onto the show most of you already know about the butterfly effect I assume meor is a 2-year-old in Fire and Blood but like our butterfly he does have a major effect on the story for those of you who have read Fire and Blood should remember that when it appears that rira and her blacks are about to capture King's Landing Allison becomes concerned for the safety of Helena's remaining children so she takes steps to save them by getting them out of the city sir Willis Fel is commanded to deliver Jara to the baratheons at Storm's end while malor is given over to Sir Rickard Thorne to be escorted across the Mander to the protection of the high tower Army on its way to King's Landing now Willis Feld delivers Jara safely to the baratheons at Storm's end but sir Rickard fars less well sir Rickard and malor only get as far as bitter bridge where he is revealed as a King's Guard in a Tavern called the hog's head after he is discovered sir Rickard fights bravely to save the young boy and bring him to safety but he does not make it across the bridge before some crossbows bring him down while meor is grabbed from his arms and then sadly he is ripped to pieces by the mob who's fighting over malor and the massive reward that rira has offered for his capture now will any of that be in the show maybe but I don't see how given the butterfly effect I have no idea what Ryan wants to do if indeed he has planned anything but given mord's absence from the second episode the simplest way to proceed would be to just drop him entirely now this is already alarming I'm worried about the fact that he doesn't know what Ryan will do I just want to know why he doesn't reach out to Ryan so they can discuss this behind closed doors rather than sharing all this information online for everyone to see it sounds like George doesn't have enough conversations with the show's writers I don't understand how he's always left in the dark when Ryan has said he shares everything with him in fact Ryan has said it's George who doesn't answer all of his messages once again it sounds like there is a breakdown in communication with HBO and the creators of the show although I am happy he's able to share his thoughts with all the fans I'm sure there's a much better way for him to fix these issues I would like to sit here and believe the reason why he's saying all of this on his website is because he feels like it's the only option he has left maybe he feels like it's the only way they will listen while I do agree with all the issues he has with the show I still feel like he deserves some of the blame he is the one who wanted Ryan to be the headwriter and showrunner after all and as I said before he doesn't answer all their messages regarding the show anyways he goes on to say the butterflies are not done with us yet in Fire and Blood when the word of maor's grizzly death reaches the red keep it's the event that drives Helena to end her own life she could barely stand to look at meor knowing that she chose him to die in the Sophie's Choice scene and now that he was actually dead the grief and the guild are too much for her to bear in Ryan's outline for season 3 Helena still ends her own life but for no particular reason and the final butterfly follows soon thereafter once again George R Martin is revealing major scenes from season 3 I'm sure HBO and Ryan Condell must have felt blindsided by this although we might understand why he's upset with the show's Direction it's really not fair of him to share this information from season 3's original outline it's not like Ryan has everything fleshed out already on the other hand he might actually be right we don't know how they wrote that scene no one understands Fire and Blood better than him therefore he's most likely right when he says it feels like she died for no reason at all I'm sure Ryan is rewriting everything now that all this information has been shared online now he goes on to say Helena a sweet and gentle soul is much beloved by the small folk of King's Landing reneir was not so when the rumors begin to arise that Helena did not end her own life but rather was murdered at rira's hand the small folk believe them that night King's Landing Rose at in a bloody Riot I rode in Fire and Blood it is the beginning of the end for rira's rule over the city ultimately leading to the storming of the Dragon Pit and the rise of the shepherd's mob that drives rira to flee the city and return to Dragon Stone and her death mord by himself means little he is a small child who does not have a line of dialogue and does nothing of consequence but die but where and when and how that does matter losing meor weakened the end of the blood and shees sequence but it also cost us the bitter brid scene with all of it horror and heroism what are we going to offer the fans instead once we've killed these butterflies I have no idea and I do not recall that Ryan and I ever discussed it back when he first told me they were pushing back on aegon's Second Son malor himself is not essential but if losing him means we also lose bitter Bridge Helena's death and the riots well that's a considerable loss there are larger and more toxic butterflies to come if Al of the Dragon goes ahead with some of the changes being contemplated for season 3 and four that last sentence is alarming as well you have to wonder about all the other changes they are considering as you can see the author is already worried about what lies ahead I just hope he actually has an honest conversation with HBO and House of the Dragons writers about the direction of the show rather than saying all of this online he should be expressing these concerns to the show's writers they are the ones who ultimately decides what happens in the show I can't help but wonder why he decided to share all this information online Knowing damn well he is already revealing major events from the UPC coming season like I said before maybe he feels like it's the only way they will listen I don't think the second season was that bad now there were a few things I did not like but I don't think it deserves all the hate it has been receiving with that being said we also haven't seen any of the ideas they have for season 3 or season 4 all I can do is hope this somehow helps The Writers come together and create a better outline for season 3 now that the author has shared his thoughts online how so the dragons writers better find a way to work with him so they can resolve the issues ALS Al if George wants a better show he needs to answer them every time they send him a message regarding the story I really don't understand the disconnect here House of the dragon's head writer and showrunner said he sends him everything as they're writing it yet for some reason George is acting like he's always left in the dark they have to find a way to work things out otherwise he should walk away and finish the Winds of Winter that's what everyone's waiting for anyway unfortunately this will most likely result in more fans hating the show I still love House of the dragon and I still believe it will be an amazing show overall in the end I guess we'll have to wait and see how this affects season 3 and season 4 who knows it might actually help the show if the writers actually listen to the author of The Source material let me know what all of you think down below are you worried about the show or do you think it's an
