all right looks like the Patriots made their first move in this tampering period according to Ian raport signing Commander's running back Antonio Gibson uh for those of you who don't know Gibson was drafted I think in 2020 I think in the third round by the commanders um big dude 62 220 very Shifty for his size but also speed wise runs like a a high 43 for the 40 so big dude that can move uh production wise at the NFL level only had 1 1,000 yard season but production in terms of receiving he's had he's at over 12200 yards of receiving his career so every year basically two 300 yard over 300 yards some years um in terms of receiving and if you watch the tape he's got good hands he is a former wide receiver so that does help so he's kind of got that Tai Tai Montgomery uh profile to him uh not and but good thing is is thankfully not the same injury history and the same uh injury rate but uh good depth piece I think uh would I I I'm sure he's going to make the 53 man roster um does that alleviate our need to be drafting a running back and specifically a receiving back in the draft I don't think so I am still a big fan even right now depending on what the the numbers are for you know the financials I really think going after Dylan Lobby in the draft UNH running back good rusher but I think he's got more receiving yards than R than rushing this past season and double digit percentage of snaps um either from the slot or out wide plus he's arguably the best Punt and kick returner in the whole entire draft now that being said the Patriots might be thinking of him in like maybe the fourth or fifth or sixth round and somebody sees them you know sees him as a third or a fourth rounder whatever and they you know Jump Ahead uh and draft a much earlier than the Patriots were targeting him and you know you don't want to leave this draft completely empty-handed um or I guess I would say empty-handed without uh a receiving back and this is just this is obvious it's it's a nice move not even on my radar at all um solid Applause I I can't really give it a grade uh I don't know what the financials are yet um that kind of that kind of really will you know give us deciding grade on what the deal is but um I think everybody can be slightly pumped it's a it's a solid move just like bring in chuk same thing with him I wouldn't hate if you know the Patriots go into the draft looking for offensive tackles both left and right probably a smart thing to do but if they don't find at least a right uh right tackle they're not empty-handed I chuk is good enough to me if I I wouldn't freak out if he is the starting right tackle this uh opening day so thus far some of the guys the Patriots are bringing in good solid moves um anyway what do you guys think let me know do you think it's a good move do you think they should still be targeting a running back should be receiving back who you looking at in the draft let me know in the comment section below if you like this content please like And subscribe and as always thanks for [Music] watching
