There's still a chance that Trevor Harris could play this week according to Riders head coach

Cory you said yesterday a chance Trevor could go this week still a chance or no going against keep on the six game yeah no still a chance uh he was out there at practice today slanging it so yeah no there's still a chance um you know we still got some things other things going on too with the roster so uh we'll take a peek at in its totality but you know we're off on the plane tomorrow so be coming pretty quick even if you did take him off would he start then or would you just kind of have him backing up Shay so he can just get maybe another full week of practice yeah well we got uh we got the full op for that you know what I mean we'll go back and that so I was just you know smashing the Oreos watching the film there so uh not quite done um but you know from just from the naked eye he looked he looked like trip I mean uh Brandon Council retires surprised by that yeah yeah was pretty surprised by it um you know but uh out of respect for uh you know the man and and you know what made more sense for him and um and his life and post football um you know it just that's kind of the decision that he came to uh unfortunate obviously but um you know we do have other people in the building and again another opportunity for somebody to go out there and show what they got I mean your thoughts Nick I think Nick Jones has been kind of practicing in that spot Zach fry makes his first start as well thoughts on half that line for CFL start here yeah no doubt I mean we've kind of just been in that situation all year at that um you know at the offensive line position uh like I said um earlier this week fry played really well um so you know uh it was good that he got got that game under his belt and then you know with Nick you know being playing some SEC ball he's played some some good football so I know he's excited for the opportunity um and again you know he he'd uh be out there with with guys who played a lot of games so communication is key from that standpoint and at at the end of it ball snap baby was Football let's go did you get a chance to evaluate Michel Johnson's play at offensive line from the last game he looked outstanding I told him I said if you want to play 20 years you better make the switch now you know so he did a good job just like miles did um you know you don't expect uh a ton other than um you know keeping the quarterback clean when guys are pushing those positions I'm in panic mode pretty much and anybody who gets put in that situation but again kudos to the offensive line and Peter you know furland guys talking to him making sure he knows at least who he's got and then uh you know sometimes being a defensive lineman just understanding kind of how guys are trying to set you up pass first wise can kind of help you in those situations but you know was just pleased with uh what he was able to do yeah this may be more of a cat maeri question I'm writing about Mario and his touchdown return but this seemed like there were some pretty uh resounding blocks did you have a chance to watch the film not one and just see all the oh yeah other things that happened no you know we we've just been waiting for it um just execution you know it's there's been a few throughout the uh season there's just there's been a few and it's just one guy you know Miss one block and it in in real time you know you're so far away from the ball you feel like ah you know I didn't get my block but then that's ends up being the guy who makes the play cuz Mario's push it down the field right so uh as a combination of uh of everybody just doing their job and and Rio hitting the crease not getting tackled by the kicker and turning on the Jets um so we were happy uh for for everybody on the return unit um you know we we've been waiting on that and you know it's it's good to see that the guys have been put in the work and uh you know it pays off what kind of reaction did the initial block there by and I haven't seen the all 24 but from the TV footage is looks like ratkovich had the initial block and sent somebody flying did that one create a bit of a stir room no no doubt yeah there was uh there was a few things that was done really well in that job I mean or excuse me on that play you know there's there's a ton of stuff that you look at uh you know the Big Blocks and all that but it's the little nuances of stuff that was actually kind of getting us throughout the year and everybody was everybody was dialed so uh at the end of it it's it's down to uh to Rio to see it um you know the guys just made the vision a little bit easier for him and and he capitalized and it was good to see them celebrate together can you just give your thoughts on this current autta team yeah no I mean they're you know they're a hot team you know they've been playing really well at home um you know they're they they have a lot of star power so to for so to speak on offense their defense plays hard and you know we'd rank probably their special teams up there at the top of the league um so it's it's a dog fight guys know that we talked about it get ready to bite or else it's going to be a tough one um the guys are man they're working their tails off uh obviously the taste in in everybody's mouth after this last performance uh they're looking for another opportunity to go prove again who who we are and what the standard has been set for us since training camp so uh we know that what the the challenge looks like for us um but ain't nothing to it but to do it go out there and play a physical brand of football uh and match what they do have you emphasized anything differently this week on your defense at all after last game uh it always comes down to details just you know um the the stuff that you know we we didn't execute was stuff that was kind of uh uh installed early in Camp you know it's part of our DNA and you know that the margin of error for for I think any team in this league specifically this year uh you got to be dialed or or it could go from being your day to not being your day quick fast and in a hurry so again just details the mental aspect of the game um certainly and then I think just uh the passion and in which we played with just wasn't the standard so uh things we ided real real quick right away um and stuff that we've been pressing through for the remainder of the week coach you this week one more time you're expecting old back up there this week uh you know uh he ended up jumping out there taking some practice reps and stuff today um I'm not feeling the most confident but uh you know AJ is that kind of guy that says coach kind of I'm trying to find a better way to say it I'm playing you know what I mean so um and that's AJ so you know I always take heed to that but it was good to see him out there Cory Petra is taking over the field Saturday morning how exciting is that in the mace household yeah no man uh you know I should probably be out there doing something myself but uh like I'm sweating standing here you know it's bad um but no just really excited and proud of everything that she does and just just a cool uh cool combination for the households you know to to have her um you know come out and do what she does best in the place where you know spend most of the time how did that come about what was it uh did was it were you involved in this decision or I am so far removed from this uh so that yeah it had nothing to do with me um but uh just really cool I think just conversations with people in the uh on the business building on the business floor um to put something together so um I know everybody's really excited I'm I'm Uber excited for them a thanks appreciate you guys start some powerder for these
