Labor Day Weekend Shopping Haul | NPS | Hobby Lobby | Michaels | Joannes | Big Lots

hi it's lori armchair chef if you're new to my channel you made it on a good day because i've got a labor day weekend shopping trip i did it all in one day first store i went to was a little bit ways up north i was going i went to go to the hobby lobby parking lot i found an nps store i've never seen one of these before we have one over by where i work and i went one time and it was disgusting it was like it was like going to the place where everything goes to die you know all the food goes to die and yeah it was really bad i went to this one oh my god i would take visitors here to this one it was awesome and i found some really cool stuff um cheap stuff i they they stuff they carry at these stores are some things that are expired pass their best buy date you use your own discretion if you want to buy it or not um they had 24 packs of flaming hot 20 ounce bottles for 2.99 2.99 if it had been diet i would have bought it because i'll drink the flamin hot it's not hot but i want to diet i don't want to put 240 calories for no reason you know but yeah that's the kind of stuff they carry they have cases of this the one here businesses will go and buy this stuff and i guess they'll put it in the machine so check your stuff when you get it out of the machine see if it's expired yeah that's what they're doing but they also had cases of soda and they had diet coke cherry vanilla or cherry vanilla coke zero and i don't i don't drink coke i really don't like it but they had diet dr pepper cherry vanilla for 1.99 for a 12 pack so i bought three of them because i like that caffeine for work um so yeah that was that was good i could have gotten more but i i found a few other things there i spent took my time walking around went back to a couple sections twice this when i saw it sparked a memory okay you tell me in the comments what this reminds you of because when i saw it i had to get it i was going to get a different bag and then i saw this one this one was cheaper but this one this one had a better memory so you tell me what it reminds you of and um in the comments so i found doggy poop these were half price because everything was 50 off so i got eight bags for two dollars which this is 4.99 or 5.99 at ross and these were mark 3.99 but 50 off good deal on batteries they had these duracell power boost for two dollars each and um it says they have a 10 year shelf life so they're probably still good and my clock's making some really weird noises i think the batteries are dead because i used amazon batteries so um i'm going to give it a boost i'm going to use these this time i got this because it was so cute and it was 1.99 in that cute full crab i was thinking lovey but i'm like well it doesn't really have a neck how am i supposed to attach something to it i guess i could make a hole on the corner a loop and shove his hand through it that would work huh it's cute i went through the craft section and they had crochet hooks nothing great nothing good nothing even subpar seriously i gotta get my magnifying glass because i don't even know what size these are they are karen cakes crochet hooks i've never seen these before these must be some promo that they had or something it's there's an orange one a blue one and a green one and i held the necks up and they all looked the same size so i'm thinking these were a promotion or something these were some sort of a promotion that they gave away so i just got two of each they were 50 cents a piece these are great for having spares if you if you're using this size and you break one it's something special my kids don't watch my videos they could care less i never hear from them i got my daughter-in-law something i could not pass this up this was too freaking good and too freaking cheap to pass this up some of you are gonna freak out about this i looked to see if there was more and there wasn't more i was gonna get some more look at this look at this almost smells like real leather i doubt it though but look the detail on this and it has the hooks for the backpack and guess how much this was oh yeah it opens up here it has a strap inside there's a strap this is pretty decent quality stuff and there's a couple little things here i'm not sure i guess you could you know strap things up and it's got a zipper thing here for a little one and then it's got a bigger one here you know like cigarettes phone money and it has another um strap thing here so there's lots of straps which is something i loved when i was young but isn't this awesome this and yeah this is hooked here but i don't know where it hooks does it unhook there no it stays hooked on that one so it probably hooks god i don't know over here no idea does it hook here maybe there i have no idea but it says it was originally 20 for 9.99 yeah look at that 10 i looked for more i could not find any more or was i oh yeah nps store i got one more thing and i saw these and they really weren't that expensive but the benefit was outweighed how much it might cost um they were 17 and when i go to therapy for my hands the doctor would put a therapist and put heat on my hands so these are gloves hot and cold therapy gloves you heat them up or you cool them off they're reusable you put your hands in them yep yep yep it's got gel in it and it'll heat it up it'll warm your hands up or cool them off and he always puts heat on my hands when he does them because it's just from uh overuse i don't have carpal tunnel in any any of that it's just um basically itis tendinitis my whole body's a big itis inflammation so from from grabbing things at work all the time and so yeah 1699 that was awesome hot and cold therapy gloves from last night on my way home i stopped at winco and halloween stuff's out and i saw these and i had to have them little halloween dolls here's a mummy his and hers colors so i thought those would be awesome so if any of you haven't come near you this if i was really an overachiever i would have these done in two days and put them up in my etsy shop but i don't i don't know they may still be in the bag bobby had some clearance and the stuff they had on clearance they had things over in their um you know where they have the decorative socks and the hair bows and the hats and things they had that stuff on mark down so i've got some socks no show socks with pizzas tacos and hamburgers and fries for 74 cents went over to the paper goods the paper studio had things on markdown so here were some coffee cup paper clips those were 99 cents each got those and the paper shop has metal decor for their paper stuff i don't know but i saw they had holes on them these could be used for jewelry and stitch markers and all kinds of cool stuff so i got those three um dollar 24. that's really why i bought them because they had the holes and stuff on them then i guess this is in the paper department too they had all these little um these were the little teeny tiny paper clips paper clips clothespins so i got them these were regular 249 for 62 cents i've been eyeing this every time i go and i've waited and waited and waited and waited and this store happened to have some for 90 off so i finally got it and it's the french fry birdhouse remember i got the popcorn and i've got the balls of yarn and now i've got the french fries well the french fries the only thing broken on this is the little perch so i definitely can get something stuck in there for the little perch so nothing else was broken and um ten percent this was two dollars and fifty cents yeah it was time to buy it so now i have all three of them and all i need is a perch for my birds i have michaels they had some stuff that i already have so i got the stuff that i already had they had in their clearance bin a lot of the cotton for a dollar so i picked up everything i could find which was kind of tough because it was full it was really full and um so yeah i've got five of those little cotton ones and [Music] up at the by the cash register they had the jewelry so i went ahead and picked up some more of these chains for a dollar and they had jewelry too now i was watching some of the stitch marker videos people showing what they use when they're making stuff so i figured out i'm probably gonna need some of these long skinny things to put beads on and hang something down at the bottom and i'm guessing if they're longer it's okay because i can cut them off and then make them shorter if i need to i could like this one i could make two out of this one probably and put a little loop in it so um yeah got some of those and some more yarn i picked up i don't remember if i had any of this one this was that stuff that's um speckle stripes this is color amethyst i don't think i have this one but it's got the purple inside and the red i still got to get this worked up to see what it's going to look like it's a four and this has a 160 yards and it's uh should be acrylic yep and then there was one i had never gotten before this one is newspaper journal so i'm guessing this one is the black and the it's blacking oh my life's no wonder i'm having trouble seeing ah the lights on okay there's gray and yellow and black yeah so i don't know i don't think i have any of these so this is a one-off be making a scrap again i have lots of that and i found some i have all that blue ogo that i bought um at one of my michaels well this one had big donut it had a red kind of a hot pink what they call this one um fireberry so it's kind of a combination depending on how you look at it red and pink and there's a lot of it this is um 502 yards and i got five of them so that's 2500 yards and then i have all that blue so i thought okay got that red got that blue to those make a huge project and then they had one of the snuggly luckily yellow ones that i picked a whole bunch of i picked a bunch of them up because they have that weird um dip dye stuff so the color's all random i thought that would look really cool in a project it's a three um it's got to be washable because it's baby yarn right it's nugget 446 yards so yeah loops and threads color daffodils yeah that's what they are so um okay got that one that was the michaels that was one michaels okay now we have michael's this is the second michaels i went to they had a lot of yarn so i picked up the stuff that well if there was like only one or two i bought it because i feel sad for it if it's just there all by itself i know that's weird but i do that's where i got a lot of my other yarn because nobody was buying it and i felt sorry for it okay i picked up a bunch of these they had more they had the echo tie dye in the big ones which i didn't i i wasn't buying the big ones because i was buying the other ones the recycled polyester and then i started buying these so now i uh i'm adding this because i just went through all my yarn i went through all of it to see what was there and i combined it and got everything all organized again and uh so i saw how many of these i have and i don't have as many of these so i went ahead and got them so i've got i got one two three of those i thought there was another one nope three of those okay and then they had some of these this one i really really like this is like the rainbow one this is the um catch some rays echo tie-dye recycled acrylic and they only have 82 yards so you know they show the slouchy hat and i just saw somebody um post some projects they made with the recycled polyester i don't know this is recycled acrylic the other one was recycled plastic i'm not sure which one she used she didn't really show the yarn she used she just you know the project might have been this because it actually looked like this but this i got um five of them there was another one of these so i ended up with four so i did get or five i get more of those and then i hit the jewelry department in the clearance section again and there was a few things i found [Music] i picked up some more of these little ones the gold and the silver because i had all those charms and then i haven't seen these anywhere nickel free earrings they're just plain old earrings you don't even have to put nothing on them and you can wear them there's one missing see so that's no big deal one of the little ones is missing and that was two dollars so you could put some on them or just wear them the way they are and the second bag this one had a lot more yard this was a big order this was like i think 70 bucks i got more of this tie dye this yellow snugly wiggly the lady saw this one and i think she saw this one she says that's not the same yarn oh yeah it is well this one doesn't have any yellow on it i go well it's on the inside and um because there was one that didn't have the label on it so it's just but but it doesn't have this doesn't have that dark color on i go yeah it does it's on the inside so yeah not a yarny person so i got more snuggly luckily yellow i have a lot more six more of these that add to that collection which i have a lot of those already and then they had only two of these so i only got the two and i know i have some of these already this is the um far out flamingo [Music] and they only had one blue baby so i got the one blue baby and you know this is coming in the premiere mystery bags the baby aren't this stuff is coming in the premier baby bags the baby delight i got some of the stripes and i've got some of the solids so if you guys want some of this you can order mystery bag at premiere you might get it you might not but this is what's coming in there and then they only had two green so i decided to get the mint green they had a lot the last time remember i got like 13 white well i've been giving those away um but the mint green yeah i didn't have any blue or green so they had a lot of uh oh god what was it they had a lot of oh they had a lot of beige it was like beige or brown or something so i didn't get that but they did have barcelona big and this looks like puzzle and i think i still have some of this because i was buying this it was in plastic bags i like this this is a 410 yards and it looks like puzzle it's um these were the ones the only ones i got for five dollars because these were like the only two i could find and i thought oh okay i'll get them i felt sorry for them this one is color mist it's like a beach to me i like this to make like a beachy blanket that would be really cool then this one is blues and purples um mulberry i went to ikea it was not my last stop my last stop was joanne's and then i said i gotta go home i i can't do anything else because it's like six o'clock now and i started at eight o'clock in the morning you think you want to go shopping with me that's a long day so i got another one of these because i bought i was looking for these last year i went did all my running around around september i could not find ikea it was like empty there was nothing in ikea because all the ships were in the harbor they weren't getting their stuff from switzerland or wherever they get it from so i had wanted another hanging thing in the closet because mine was broken so i picked up a cheap one and it's like it's like straining under the weight of you know all my leggings and my leggings and winter clothes so i got one and i like these because it's got the um they're really big it's got mesh in the back so it breathes and it's got two on the bottom and the two on the bottom they sell drawers where you can put a little drawer in it to pull it in and out like to put belts in it and things like that so that's what i was putting in mine was my belts and things which i don't wear belts much because i don't wear pants much but i have some if i ever want to do it or need to do it um but yeah i got a new one and i like it because it's got these two things up on top so the one i have now has one long one and it's like straining it the size okay i'm gonna replace it this one's a lot heavier duty and uh yeah so you can see it's it's wide it's got two wide ones so it spreads out the pressure further so that is my um that was uh one of my ikea things i've been looking for now have any of you got a copper pan one of those copper clad pants that um that lady they just you know they say they're nonstick and they're not nonstick eventually stuff sticks i have a big square one i like the square one it's like this thick and i use that for a lot of things when i make my soups and stuff i did get another little three quart just because i needed a second one um but i like the really the square one that's deep i can things don't splash out but my copper pan my fry pan that i use ended up something got burnt in it and it got stuck on and so now stuff sticks to it i'm like and it's really annoying i tried to make an omelette the other day and there's just crap stuck all to it trying to scrape it off it's like that was really annoying so ikea had they have pants and they have good pants this is a really nice pan it says it's an ikea name brand you see it's it's really heavy it says oh god oh it comes with a instruction book oh this says okay it's stainless steel made in china oh it has pictures oh gosh i hope that little book says what the pictures are don't know but these were marked down from 35 dollars to 15.99 i said well that's getting close to my price range that kind of quality for that price because i believe this is oven safe you can go in the oven it's got a doesn't have a hollow handle it's got a solid handle it has the three bolts on it and it's very heavy you want a heavy bottom on your pan not on yeah just your pan and the non-stick inside and then you know when you go to i don't know if you have an ikea but you go to the end and you go through the marketplace and you get all your stuff and then they have a place where they clearance stuff out as is this was marked down even more four more dollars to 11.99 so i actually switched it out the 15.99 for the 11.99 and i got it 24 off my new pan i've already thrown out my copper pan it still had eggs stuck to it i threw it out so uh now i've got my new pan 11 inches that's just the the size that i want when i make that kind of stuff so yeah very excited now i've got to see what this um see what this instruction book says i don't know what the instruction book's for but yep mark down from 59 to 11.99 as is and it is just fine teflon probably will kill me but i'm already old so i don't think it'll do any more damage so uh yep now we have my last store joanne's and this is the one that i don't know they all thrill me i i got already i always get something i like it all of them but this one has something special and i'm like oh i have to buy it i have to buy it okay and it wasn't the ogo i found some gold they had green red and gold and this is super saver this is red heart so i thought you know what i already have red and green red heart so i just bought the gold which is what two dollars a piece so i bought five of them they had all they had was the gold because i was gonna get them all and i thought you know what no red heart super saver you can get it anywhere and walmart so i just got the gold ones because they don't have gold and i found and they have a weird clearance section in this store you go to all the yarn section and then you go to this other place it's a huge aisle on both sides i didn't take you know my camera with me and all these places because my phone was dying because i was traveling and using my maps and stuff but both sides are full of just bat wire shelves stuff's just shoved on so you have to lift things up and look man i was in there probably an hour just going through all the shelves i found some more of those boy clearance hooks there were smaller ones but i didn't buy them this is a five and an eight they had 4.25 but i don't work that small and besides i already have some that are that small so i just got the big ones i like the big ones and from what i can tell people say the next break on them sometimes but so i got that one and speaking of hooks i got that partial joann's order and i was still expecting some things in the mail and they came separately of course i saw on the website they have cushion grips that go on the metal crochet hooks two sizes like it looks like there's one maybe a little bigger and a little smaller so you can get a put it on your hook and these weren't all that expensive but i had that that um i had 50 off the highest priced thing so these weren't very expensive these were real cheap um it says it'll fit hook size three millimeter to six millimeter so um yeah to make them a little bigger to hang on to and it's padded i don't know about the ribbing on it i have to try this and see because i'm using a metal one right now for a project so that's a good time it's uh what did i get the five and a half 5.5 i'm using so this might be good to try it i'll put that over there with that and what i bought and got my 50 off of was where is it the tulip the tulip edemo set i bought this and got 50 off of that it's a three piece it's a has a case three hooks a needle and a little um measuring thing it says a smooth hook tip easy to grip shape prevents hands from tiring the cushion support grip fits your hand comfortably it's called edamo rose and the bag's really cute put them in little bead on there there was a little rubber thingy in there and i think that goes on the hook i think that goes over the hook but only fits one of them they are three different shades of pink this set was eight nine and ten point five well i know i don't have a ten point five i have a ten i have lots of tens but there's that ten point five again no it's not oh my gosh it says 10.5 it's a 6.5 what are those numbers what why is there a number and a millimeter separate that is just so weird i thought it was a eight nine and a ten no it's a five five and a half and a six and a half okay fine and then a little mirror oh mirror a little ruler this is cute there's a needle in here too let's see oh come on okay i'll mess with this later because i also have more hooks remember when they advertised that girls was having a sale buy one get one free well i bought one got one free and now i have four i didn't i bought two missed size one in each of the colors of miss size colors one in virgo one in aries and then two polaris was the buy one get one free they were twenty four dollars so buy one get one free and then i got two of the seconds and that came to 48 24 24. it was like buy buy two hooks get two free so let's get them out and see i think they were miss sized two of these they say they put a little sticker on it yeah the miss sized ones okay these are the these are the polaris these are the ones i paint i paid a lot of money for this polaris streamline galaxy let's see what these look like oh this is pretty pink sparkly look at that that is nice this would be a 5.0 the right size i'm getting quite a collection i don't know what what i should do with them i guess i should use them huh and there's another one there's an i which is a i you know i need to learn these 5.5 i need to memorize these the letters and the numbers and then the other number there's two numbers now let's look at the ones that are this size that i got for cheap half price see this is uh okay they were both supposed to be tens but when they're miss sized they put a little sticker on it that tells you what it really is i keep those in the box i probably won't use them but they're pretty this was there's nothing wrong with the hook with the color of the hook this is the wrong size so the color probably was fine it's very large look at this it's very large look at that hook this instead of being a 10 this is a 9.5 so if you want a 9.5 hook a little smaller you got one a little smaller isn't that neat and it's got the blue and the green and the lime in there that's pretty but yeah i would have to put something on it uh a little wrap a little something on it with the with the size the correct size not that i really care about the sizes i know a lot of you guys do but i still don't know why there's a 0.5 and a 0.75 doesn't make a difference maybe that's why my stuff doesn't turn out very good huh because i don't care that might be why okay this one says 10.4 and it is supposed to be a tan and i'm not sure if this is the virgo or not but god look at this color it's like a blood red oh my god that's beautiful is this supposed to be does it say anywhere on it which one it is no it doesn't oh my gosh i don't know but this is gorgeous it's like a ruby red i like blood red though matches my eyeballs so those are my hooks this is okay now joanna sent another box separate and i totally didn't remember what i got got a great box though what oh my god i just looked in it to see what it was and it's my um who is that laura your birch bag oh my gosh i don't even know what it was made out of it could have been leather it could have been vinyl it could have been anything look at this it's the dogs isn't that cute it's it's a zipper top tote bag its canvas and it's laurel birch b-u-r-c-h and they have a lot of these on the website this one was half price i remember now did you have a paper in it didn't come with a paper but i remember this was half price i wanted one and this is big way bigger than i thought it was gonna be but yeah i love bags i'm gonna have to start getting rid of some oh my god laurel birch it comes with a little thingy is this like a mirror what is this little thing on here is in the mirror it's coated with something i don't know i don't know what that is looks like it's coated with something like a mirror but coated anyway yep this is one of her best she has cats and dogs and this is the dogs isn't that cute there was another one i liked better that was the dogs but this is the one that was half price it was 21. i think the other one was 40. but this was cute okey dokey that is another order from joann's that came a little late so thanks for watching my video and
