[Music] principality [Music] deant [Music] [Music] [Applause] the for for phip Wonder for yeah Sur grant grant a huge day for the club how does a head coach manage the nerves on a day like like this um well there's been good sort of preparation this week so that's been key to make sure we're organized I think that calms things down a little bit um but there it's not just down to myself and the other coaches there's some characters in the in the squad and they sort of uh bring a sort of lighter mood to the camp as well you can hear it behind us now so so yeah it's it's everyone's role but like from my point of view is just making sure we're organized trying to keep calm uh you know from experience of being there um and then yeah just trying to get the boys to enjoy the day or the best mate like nice nice right right Francis kick kick so Max [Music] SE Sean a fantastic day for the club uh brilliant how how have you prepared the boys for such a big occasion well I think it goes back to uh July when we started you know um you know we didn't have many training the start of the year but we've built that up you know 27 28 training and the way they work this year you know we one thing we put a lot of emphasis on Fitness and I think at this level that is very big and the way they've improved for that has been huge and all of a sudden you you win a few games on the throt and then you become confident you know and uh and this team now as I say they've continually trained hard and they've become a confident rugby team you know so I'm really really proud of them you know and to get here today is the Pinnacle for these boys so we just looking forward to the game fantastic all the best to and we hope it's a good day thank you for Francis fr fin Shin howth Kevin Phillips will SC the CR man at win Shan [Applause] [Music] Williams e e e e e e [Applause] [Music] principality and game there's English language commentary available with Steph and Phil Steel on thank you Lauren yes you're very welcome to English language commentary at principali Stadium always a huge day for these clubs there's uh the Glen side they'll be led out by the captain alled Evans and there's FY Wes Skipper is Rod Owens the hooker the first time the wanders have ever been to the principality Stadium gleny have been here before lost in a plate final back in 2011 and that's a lovely moment for for both sides memories of a lifetime particularly for The Elder players The Lads in their 30s a lot of The Classy wanders teams certainly have played at this stadium in age group finals but uh for the the Third something this is a real day to tell the grandchildren there's the fessy wanders team Lads I said by rodri Owens the captain the hooker 10 tries top triy scorer a look out for Lloyd Pike as well a Premiership winner with sland Dey and there's plenty of pace behind as well with Nick Gail leading things the assistant coach the son of uh sha Gail the head coach ify wanders there's Glen Neath alled Evans on the wing captain school teacher and uh look out for Luke waver in the back row 10 tries this season a real handful a great ball carrier so watch out for him and his experience throughout the side as [Applause] well there's our referee Matthew [Applause] Leon soy wanders good playing from right to left as we look Lads timing on your Chase talking to their Club chairman aled Williams in the week he said this is the biggest day in their club's history they brought about 500 two buses from the mini and Junior section and uh Glen Neath have brought 10 bus loads including as we saw earlier on their present Max boys I'm delighted to be uh joined by uh well he's uh he's going to be straight down the line today unbiased but he's a former product of ly wonders it is of course the dragons Captain Steph Hughes now come on now get on that fence okay yeah going have to be uh have to be on the fence and not by I'm still looking forward to a great game of rugby brilliant day for both clubs and uh and the community so yeah it's a thrilled to be here yeah I was just saying for some of the for some of the the more mature players as well you know couple of the players would have played at age group finals here but for for you know those 30 somethings who haven't had the chance it's a real red letter day isn't it absolutely one of my good friends R Moran playing in the center for the Wonders you know been there for years played nearly 300 games and it's just a great day for people like him who put in a lot of work for the club over the years Glen Neath in possession at the moment though off two Scott Hawkins gets it away cousin of Joe Hawkins The Welsh International out play [Music] EX that's the 10 met line of Glen Hawkins way to that the man I mentioned earlier Luke Weaver big ball carrier 10 tries already this season for the red and blacks the pitch looks a bit bare but it's it's perfectly firm and when you think of all the uh it's been root to principality week so there been lots of games played on this school's games and uh yesterday in the various League Cup finals so so the pitch there is not in bad condition really considering no considering how many games has been played on it and the roof's been closed as well so um no he's holding up pretty well in his firm which is great for an open game of rugby yeah roof shut as staff was saying Delan Francis Neath acting as the emergency scrim half still on the halfway line as both sides kg early on what a magnificent tackle from oh Davis there's Luke Weaver Hawkins at the base [Music] again both these sides have done well in their respective divisions in fact Glen Neath were yesterday promoted from uh League one West Central other results going their way so they'll be up in the championship next season Ley wand is are top of uh West won and looks like they'll almost certainly get promoted probably as Champions so two of the top sides for this level a conservative start from both teams I'd say here um ball lifted ball lifted you know not wanted to make too many errors a bit of kicking back and forth finding their feet in the game yes glint having most of the possession so far although commentator's curse and uh the wanders get it on that right hand side could be something on for Lloyd Pike finds his man back inside and here's a drive for the line and it's going to be the first try and it's Stefan Phillips the big second row it was a little bit scruffy in the buildup but uh they got that in the end Steph Phillips with the first try well it's come from Ki wers his work at the breakdown the kick Chaser was fantastic really pressurizing the ball they're delighted up in the stands and Steph Phillips is the man who scores it there a great piece of play here Jonathan George shifting it out nickel does a fantastic job here just squaring up Glen e defense they keep the ball alive and it's a support line from Step Philip they're lucky really to get the bounce but it's an opportunist fin this and they'll be really pleased with that there is Step Phillips has had premi of experience with Kamar and Quinns and celesi 32 now and here's Nick Gale 200 points this season already left footed drills it and no problem at all for the center 202 points for the season now and celest he wanders with a a good start after 5 minutes yeah just Nick his ability to keep the ball alive gives opportunity for the Wonders to to keep possession and it's a fortunate bounce into St philips' hands that's a very positive start from CL wandas Glen I'm sure will want to gain a bit more territory in this game they played a lot of the start in their own [Applause] half Ryan Evans St Phillips's second roow partner setting left for the wanders okay ripped burgled though by Glen L now no no little bit slow for hains and he uses Craig tenant the brother of flaner Shan tenant great day for the tenant family you're fine you need to rollen of the match play R [Applause] first a very positive reaction from Glen isn't it the very direct carrying their big pack using their big ball carriers off nine it's a penalty against I think number nine Josh weeds for not rolling away preventing the competition over the ball Glen eath will be really pleased with that uh with that passage of play Sean tennon very obvious with his ball carrying so Delan Francis this is put his side into the final with a last minute kick in the semi 189 points this season but it's a different proposition taking a penalty at principality stadium in a final doesn't pH uh Francis though Delan Francis at all 191 points for Delan Francis now superb kick looks like a man who's very confident that he obviously kicked the winner for Glen to get them here and it's a it's a warning shot for the wandas with this man's kicking ability that their discipline has to be good otherwise he will cause them problems will the nerves with with s minutes in now will the nerves be gone now for these players yeah I'd imagine so you know after the first few tackles get your hands on the ball couple of rcks and they'll be they'll be relaxed and and just trying to get back to the back to the game managing the emotion is tough on a occasion like this especially for you know these boys who maybe haven't had the opportunity to play here before taken at the back for the wanders they move it into the Midfield Ben shiffy the flanker taking it on that time and this is GTH Havard the prop former Wales into 16s [Music] [Applause] cap speed the reception committee was uh well and truly waiting for L pipe there and Glen get the penalty as well it's fantastic defense isn't it the line speed is exception I think it's James Parry who brings that yeah James Parry led the team for eight consecutive Seasons up until this season that's some record we bring the edge here okay def Edge okay yeah fantastic line speed and then the decision making at the breakdown they understand they're on the front foot to compete over the ball and it's a very very good defense set from Glen Johnny Griffith was the man in with the tackle good ball off the top for Glen okay Vantage pen coming oh it's that a bit High referees spotted it nine weight I think we will come back indeed back yeah that's getting get a checked in back play but we have got 10 offside in the line now okay where's my mark yeah it's getting checked in the back play okay TR the process okay Al Evans just having my arms are still up and Captain chat with the ref as every good Captain does just checking on uh checking on the refs understand it hit the offside okay wa we need [Music] check yeah he getting checked back there should we hold check if up in back play we're not going to kill the time on this yet okay nothing formal yet it was certainly High wasn't I'm not sure there's any great for in it no yeah it was I I I imagine take the 10 the line okay it is just a penalty there but we've got the offside of the bats offside post calls I think the initial tackle from Ben chiffy the low tackle yeah knocked um James Parry off balance a little bit and it was it was definitely a high tackle thanks Wayne and wers will be aware of the penalties they've given away ready in 10 minutes I think it's three or four now there he is Lloyd Pike won the uh Premiership played in the Premiership final last year against Cardiff Wales under 18 cap as well fantastic rugby player wonders be delighted to have his uh his presence at their team today [Applause] gave that a fat old ho B Francis no problem at all and Glen he back to within the [Applause] [Music] point so his nerves if he had any of surely settled two from Two for the fly half 193 for the season James Parry setting it for [Music] Glen Scott Hawkins thear Owen bit of a free ball though for Josh weeds well the followup is good fine oh bu by the red and blacks and they on the charge into the wanders half could be something on that left hand [Applause] side the first uh penalty for The Wanderers it's pretty Lively uh Steph it is yeah yeah really good really competitive at the breakdown as you'd expect that man GTH Havard huge experience played a lot of rugby for kanaki RFC in the Premiership while they were while they were competing there and I think it's Josh weed who gets the turnover playing scrum half this is the initial turnover stripped in The Tackle by glenice number eight Luke Weaver and then they're on the front foot every rook's competitive you can see the enthusiasm of the team G tack Josh weeds he used to play flanker Josh weeds growing up he's playing scrum half now so has the ability don't see many scass Jaclyn he's a bit of an allrounder Josh weeds he's played cricket and squash for his tal Le back got six tries as well this season for the wanders on the charge goes the rodri the Talisman the captain the 10 Tran [Music] Lloyd Pike that's the 22 of Glen lost out [Music] weeds Johnny George acting as the emergency 10 and here's Nick [Music] Gale Ryan Evans sorry little Flash and Dash from Johnny George lovely continuity Lloyd Pike again that's the line of Glen Neath in the background weeds [Applause] again what's he seen on that right hand side now oh and it's opened up for Ben shiffy but illegally so says the referee the red and black SE parted but uh illegally so yeah Crossing here's more of a timing issue really than uhu a deliberate obstruction I think it's rodri Owens who runs a short line CL wand is looking really good when they're in the 22 it's accidental it is it's clever from Glen player just to tackle [Applause] him hint of a s side step as well from Ben shiffy at the end there so that'll be the one to tell the grandchildren the day I was denied a try at principality stadium in the division one cup fight uh Captain former youth Captain Ben shiffy Lesly wers man through and through out Captain 23y [Music] old look I know it's new for TMO but we're not going to have every single challenge asking check trust the process and we'll get to the outcome two okay just thinking of the mindset you know the we all say oh it's the it's a thing to get to the stadium to get to the stadium with your club but as we look at Max Bo there the president of uh L uh they're only a point down you think they were more than a point down looking at Max bless him game um say get to the final get to the final with the club but surely when you get here you you want to win don't you oh absolutely yeah just you know speak about uh we SC on screen there Laing man himself um no obviously special the occasion special but winning it is something even better both clubs I'm sure we have a a big reception back at the club tonight if they get the job done and it's it's a lot as you were saying T your grandchildren it's a lot nicer story when you've won yeah the be is sweeter but it's nip and Tuck at the moment 76 the wanders lead [Music] [Applause] Glen Lewis Jones a little bit vertical from the uh back former cardi met product [Applause] yeah fine play on contest nice inside ball from gaale Weeds play a handful the scrum half this turn over for the red and blacks dropped up by Owen watts and we'll uh knock on we'll get the first knock on knock on well lots of turnovers isn't there this really competitive I'm sure clly wonders Sean Gail and his coaching staff will not be best pleased with their contact area they've lost quite a lot of ball there so an opportunity for them to improve in that you got to give needs credit they've been really competitive none more so than that uh man James Perry in the back row we're going to hear from L Lewis shortly when he's pitchside the the Newport Winger bind who's doing pitchside duties for us today [Applause] [Music] set [Music] Le to Johnny George Gale Le Jones into the line over the shoulder penalty coming traps something on that Blind Side for Jack har tackle we still back Advantage High tackle we've got this advantage over the shoulder High Taco there Nick Gale player coach does the backs and he's the son of sha gaale the head coach you might remember Shawn Gail is a prop for cesi back in the day and briend over 200 appearances for cesi and nearly 100 for and he he must be one of the longest serving coaches in because he did 18 Seasons at nth he an absolutely brilliant job of narth he's he's very very highly thought of down there and his first season at the wanders with his Sun coaching and you know they've arrived at the final so clearly his pedigree as a coach is is very good yeah and uh high flying in the league as well there's Nick Gale [Applause] well he gave that a real thump didn't he you could hear that in the on the FX [Applause] microphone two from two from Nick Gale so four from four the goal kickers so far and that's one uh one area where you might excuse players in a final like this of having the odd nerves but doesn't seem be affecting the the goal ker so far absolutely not and also the the both teams warmed up on the arms not on this pitch it's very windy out there so haven't really had enough time to prepare but they've both been excellent not showing much sign of nerve so uh yeah really good start for both kickers terrific Tackle by Johnny George Denise did well to said [Music] that and that was O wats the loose head from the necessary there weeds Kicks Down Town taken in taken in it's taken in by Jordan Griffith so he has to keep it in [Applause] okay Jack Hart not on the ball play here in the doer Shield final for cesti against CI jackart a while ago [Music] use weeds again goes Ariel and they get it back to the wanders and just a a nud forward when it looked as if something might have been on on that right hand side well we can see what CL wand's trying to do what their game plan is they kick a lot in their own half want to put pressure back on Glen and they've been really accurate in their kicking game this one ke and jel the prop gets up and they're not far off creating an overlap on the turnover so clear tactics on what they're trying to achieve early on in the game forcing error from there's Lloyd Pike say won the premiership with with Sandy last year sand his old team will be up third today they've got merther in the Premiership Cup Final okay they're all all three games live on s4c that's no stay with us great afternoon rugby a celebration of Welsh Club rity balance loose head on this near side for Glen is Gareth Hall played way back in 2011 in the plate final where they lost to ammanford did g Paul one of three players in the uh the squad who played in that game set oh a little bit of a nudge there from the wanders and it puts Hawkins in a bit of trouble he gets burgled by Josh weeds first sign of a scrum nudge there Steph yeah really positive from the wandas perspective and then Josh weeds has been a real past that is still forward was there deliver [Applause] first Del the referee say but yeah tell us about the scrum drive again yeah really good scrum you know experience front row at the wanders and this the first first real scrum we've seen them having a go and Josh weeds again we've spoken about him already the ability he's had as a scrum half and playing flanker he's real hard on around that base gets the turnover and a lot run there I think probably Owen Davis's hand just took the Flight of the ball away from the eyes of uh of the attackers the ball came out but we both prop need to square yeah not much more in it trying to go for the interception and like you said I think just lost sight to the ball the CL wand Wing O Davis Nick Gale can he make it three from three and it's a lovely metronomic Siege gun boot that he's got just a lazy swing of the left Peg 136 the wers lead yeah pre for uh s wand Sean your boys just nudged over uh another penalty to make a 136 are you happy with what you've seen so far yeah yeah two good sides out to be honest here in all fness they playing really well both sides but uh yeah as I said we've had a few we had a few opportunities and we've taken them brilliantly but uh it's a tough game and there's nothing nothing between the teams at the moment both teams are playing extremely well um Glen are really good over the contact area but we looking quite dangerous with ball in hand but uh we just need to keep the territory game going and when we're in the Red Zone we got to take our chances yeah you've won every game bar one this season did there any preparation change this week looking to this final no I just got a create set of boys who were really Keen to to do well you know they they train hard you know they're very fit team and yeah really trying to keep them calm you need to play to play at this level you know so it's been good thank you Sean all the best M cheers Sean Gil with Lloyd Lewis great uh sessi rugby man and also a a great Chessy rugby character as well some of you if you're 60 years of age plus v you might remember his father who uh played hooker for Wales in the 60s Norman Gale he was a goal kicking hooker believe it or not his father oh there we are it's filtered down through neck he's moved moved into the backs but he's still uh still kick in yeah but a real great rugby man uh Sean Gillan say what he did at narth I know he was very popular there in pire did a great job and now he's back with one of his hometown clubs [Music] five from five for the goal kickers now g h for [Music] G Hawkins little bit far easy for weeds Jordan Griffith still caught on the 10 m line L Jones rather caught on the 10 m line that's a pretty useful kick and uh got a call it's done well to get back there for [Music] [Applause] GL really go to the ball first J uh Kane Reese Jones the guilty party Sean was speaking uh when he was speaking to Lo there just about territory and it's it's a clear tactic from the wers they got many kickers in their backline and this is what they want to do this time they're illegal at the breakdown but what they're trying to do is to kick deep into Glen for them to R back and then really compete hard the breakdown and they've got some good Fetchers there you know the likes of Lloyd Pike K RE Jones Josh weed to are strong over the ball so with their kickers in the backline Jonathan George Nick Gale Lewis Jones at fullback they just looking to build territory it's working quite well for them and then on the flip side Glen are more direct than they more in looking to be abessive get over that game line okay then water off Lads players up it's the Glen Leath pack great tradition in uh Club rugby Glen they had an invincible side in 1961 1962 and uh two of that side who are in their 80s now D Weaver and Vince good who played in that Invincible side that they still talk about that team down in gleny uh D weav and Vince good I believe are here today so uh great uh for those two legends of the club and of course that clath team of the 60s also produced The Great D moris the former nethan Wales flanker so great uh pedigree in club rugby the Glen Club wait I'm just seeing as contest live ran Morgan 10 me line weeds again real life wild the lovely pass of the tackle with the cat flap there Steph Phillips the scorer of the only try okay noce so far Reb burgled back by the wanders after the initial error Gan Morgan weeds another one out of the cat flap Gail still on the 22 Kane Reese Jones couldn't quite get his pass in and the hack down town has the Wonders going back was that a bit high from alled Evans the captain I think so yes a brilliant passage of play Josh weeds is having a great great timeout there isn't he two or three cat flat passes tackling Glen turned the ball over again and they kicked long that's a great kick Chase first of all by alled Evans just probably not quite low enough on his tackle he just slips up doesn't he there's not much in it win probably doesn't help him that he's tackled him in front of the wondrous bench not quite right uh lad scrum time bit over the shop on the two or we seeing on your side just so we can bring the standard up yeah another uh talking about former Glen players and another one uh is Tavis no of course came from Glen eath and he won the man of the match yesterday played of the match start of the game in the division five final for uh Seven Sisters I heard he played number eight as well he played number eight did he apparently so yes he's got another 10 years in him that Bo and that was quite poed of course cuz Seven Sisters is the club of uh the late wellsh Union president bble well un president Dennis gin so that would have been a victory for the late Dennis GTH in yesterday for Seven Sisters brilliant but this is very much clly wanders against Glen Neath there's the game's coming up Bargo against AUST Rond at 3:00 and then Mur against lery at quarter 5 high tackle and I just had a text from Gareth howls who uh who runs the butchers sevens team they play sevens tournament invitation s Stones we tell me that uh 11 playing today in the finals the three finals uh Afra have played sevens for The Butchers there we are little stf there's Gant John head of community rugby in Wales former Cardiff vessi fly half Wales b as [Applause] well good ball off the top for The [Music] Wanderers weeds again us lovely and quick and he's on the run run around as well and he's got the wanders going on that right hand side lewi Jones stepping inside real conjurus hands uh from Josh weeds this is Kan Rees Jones the flanker just get the feeling that the wanders are starting to uh fancy it now getting a plethora [Music] possession just couldn't get his pass out of the tackle was rodri Owens the captain I think that'll be Shan G's message at halime to the wanders they're doing so much great work into the 22 they're just probably losing the ball a little bit too cheaply which gives Glen an opportunity to come out rodri Owens has been really busy isn't he the captain lead in beautiful sight there front rose Six here yeah he's a top TR scorer for the wanders this year come out yes we're not really Square so let's start square and let's keep positive throughout I'll go straight back we're going to hear from uh Glen coach Grant bnell very shortly he's with Lloyd Captain for six seasons of Glen eath Grant so real stalwart of the club Crouch B now we saw the last scrum St the wandas getting a bit of a a shove on now already down each other half hour in okay this SP could be a quite a compelling moment this grum yeah absolutely and the biggest thing here is obviously CL wonders want to chase this scrum and force a penalty but it's easy to give a penalty away in this area which gives Glen an easy easy exit so it's probably about them being disciplined and going after Glen in the right ways as an eight Crouch bind set [Music] ready yeah big scrim again from the wanders that's the staff's head tight they have to be careful about not conceding the penalty which they did gal he'd be happy with that here's the Glen Neath coach with Lloyd Square yeah big for boys M uh K just gin can let me just ask how do you think the boys are doing so far how do you feel about their performance they're playing really well we played a lot of rugby uh still one score game which is really important uh at the moment we're probably just losing a kicking battle um overall I would say but you know I think we just need to manage that sort of middle Zone a little bit better and build a bit more pressure on them I think we've let them sort of kick out quite uh quite easily and we're sort of working hard again the territory back yeah I was really impressed with the quality the standard of rugby being shown today um what do you think about considering this division one um the boys are playing both teams very very well what do you think about the division one and the the occasion today yeah there's a lot of uh balling play time uh today at the moment um two teams I think want to play a bit of rugby you know good up front good solid packs but good kick in game and uh you know backs will want to run the ball as well but yeah you know I think the the standard of Rugby's grown I think that's just over the years of Juniors and minis sort of improving proving um the St standard yeah yeah great other best mate and here goes Ben shiffy for the one goes into the the 22 to groundy go support is there weeds away to that right hand [Applause] side Nick Gale acting as the emergency scrim half Kane Rees Jones again weeds this time to Lloyd Pike The Wander sniffing something here as we uh less than 10 minutes to halftime weeds almost spinning out of the tackle gets a pass into Steph Phillips he's already got one as the big second row weeds again Swept Away to Ryan Evans good tackle coming in still with the wanders though rodri Owens sniffing a 11th try of the Season perhaps off the boot no knock on Barnes Wallace pass off the boot W keeping it with the caveman stuff at the moment there it is for weeds Lloyd [Music] Pike there we are another penalty just when they were uh in the ascendency again and Shan Gail won't be happy with that Steph no that's that's the third or fourth time that the wanders have built some really good phases together built a lot of pressure on Glen you got to give credit to Glen's defense they've been really ferocious their tackles have been low they've opened the Rocks up and competed well over the ball but uh yeah clear message for the wers at halftime I think would be about being accurate and and maintaining possession great speed over the ball by Jed O'Reilly to get on the Jackal an interesting uh contrasting confidence here because uh if lesy wonders have uh butched a few chances giv penalties away in the Glen 22 not good for their confidence conversely what does he do to the defending side if they you know if they can hold up twice oh absolutely gives you a lot of confidence but also it gives you a lot of energy and enthusiasm and belief and and they will obviously feel a lot more confident defending in their own half as the game gets gets [Applause] on up to the 10 MERS line of Glen it's very physical no one's took the ball got the contest here Scott Hawkins Ryan Evans first in with the tackle forand Dey but GL needs forwards keeping uh some momentum going G [Applause] hle just under 5 minutes to go and it's a one-point game and another penalty to Glen need and they're off and running quickly as well by the red and blacks over the halfway line they go Hawkins using tenant the hooker perhaps something on this right hand side hacked down in the 22 it gives Lewis Jones plenty of time to clear might that have gone through the hand step yeah it could have but as you were speaking earlier fell about the confidence you can see the difference has made in gath since that big defensive set they really play him with a lot more energy and enthusiasm and you know they' be pleased with that result to to to get the gain line no wonder the water carries are coming on it's been played at a really excellent Pace phoh lick that's ke and juel the loose head down there bu Port product only a the young the young man of the uh front row for the wanders just 22 Wes of uh got great League form they've only lost once that was the Gan they' won 15 out of 16 and they're top and uh virtually already promoted they were formed in 1947 4647 werey wanders from the old sthy YMCA and the official Club title was uh came in 1951 ly wanders and they actually play it's a great quiz question well you know you're a you're a product name the ground stry park there we are stry Park yeah yeah so good Chris won who plays at stry Park the actual gr and the address the club address is still scat back yeah right really close to uh to the old overseas uh the Ki scar sty Park they've got a great relationship as well the wand is with a team called the sesi Warriors run by a guy called uh Gillam Lewis which is a a mixed ability rugby team do fantastic work in The Classy area and I know the wanders are very good to the to the Warriors providing facilities and that yeah they do they played a few games as well uh down there against them so uh yeah they're really really supportive and yeah great Club Vantage knock on knock on against Glen Neath [Music] weeds showing his kicking prowess this time and that's pretty useful as well G backwards and here goes uh Jordan Griffith down the right hand side for Glen and on the front foot Vantage they've got another penalty nice little uh pass in the Gap Advantage get the captain alled Evans going another penalty coming [Music] up now we've seen D Francis put over two penalties so far go the ball not over yeah there he goes for the posts yeah we've seen about SLE wandra their history their Glen eath of course a fabulous history 1889 they were formed yeah then you then kicked it uh they hold the record to Glen for the most wins in the silver ball competition you know a very prestigious Club competition that particularly in the amateur era they hold that five times which is a a record I will or is the time is incorrect here's Dylan Francis he's approaching 300 for the season he's on uh 200 for the season he's on 195 at the moment two from [Music] two again a a lovely thump from Delan Francis two minutes on spot four-point game we have approaching half [Applause] [Music] time and once again that's six from six for the for the goal kicker that's been really impressive it has been yeah and they've not all been straightforward kicks they've been different kicks different lengths different wits it's been a it's been a fantastic half of rugby two really competitive teams going at it toe-to-toe physical encounter really looking forward to seeing how the second half develops oh this an interception no okay referee playing the first knock on from the kickoff as Jed O'Reilly that is correct saw the pound signs there or maybe with 80 M to go in a after end of a tough first half maybe he was glad to hear the whistle you imagine so you'd imagine this is the last probably attacking opportunity that CL wand will have before the half they'll be quite keen on capitalizing Midfield scrum from a back's perspective anyway is the most difficult area to defend because you have to use use have players in the back as Glen do here but also defend the front line so from an attacking perspective it's a brilliant platform B and we've seen Cy wanders have the upper hand in the last 20 minutes in the scrums and it's an 89 12 move Lewis Jones has it on that Far Side ran Evans [Music] get the feeling this is a compelling moment of the game here no seven any any score from uh he wanders or a try with taking two scores clear B is right on the interval so important the Glen keep their defense intact Ryan Evans again he's been very workmanlike in the first half for the wanders Ken juel takes it on here go St Phillips try score it weeds it'll show and go didn't quite get him through the Gap and Lesley wanted to come with a knock on clock is red and that is the end of the first half and a terrific first half it's been really really tough full-blooded excellent play from both sides just the one try separating the two sides and we're in for a cracker of a second half by the looks bit 139 lesle wand's lead at the [Music] interval e e e e e e [Music] CH and all e Philip Phil commentators in English a GFF M time on your Chase thank you Lauren welcome back to the second half if you are just joining us that's Glen underneath in the red and black playing from right to left he wanders in the maroon and gray joined by dragons Captain former Scarlet's Center Wills in the 20's Captain as well and classy W with product Steph hes we were talking our first step that although the wanders have had or lead at halftime you get the feeling that Glen are still hanging on in there absolutely their defense really has been uh has been top level the competitiveness over the ball as well and they've got a fantastic goal kicker inan Francis at their outside half so you're always in with a shout hold around the kick they'll want to manage territory a bit more as I say that they manag to get it back from the the charge down Jordan Griffith the pullback and another penalty I like to see the penalty count against the W and that's really hampered them so far just the one try that went in the fifth minute to Steph Phillips the second row after good work by Nick Gale those was for the wandas we've had three penalties by D and Francis for Glen and Nick G has put over a conversion and two penalties for the wanders six from six the goal kickers so if you've just joined us uh that's was one of the features of the first half the Dead eyee goal kicking no nerves whatsoever and that's Delan Francis Craig tenant throw a reminder that the roof is closed GTH Havard takes it over halfway ke his prop partner High tackle Advantage coming Josh weeds who was outstanding in the first half okay yeah we've lost it Forward there the one but one high tackle yeah discipline is probably going to be an area of the game you know we've spoken already about the effectiveness of the goal kickers and both teams are probably a little bit guilty of of there's quite a high penalty count so they'll have to be aware you know that that as the game goes on the higher the penalty count is the game could go either way away from Team here is one of the Dead Eye kickers three from three Nick Gale 208 points this season son of the coach sha Gale and he doubles up as the player backed coach played for the barbarians back in 2004 did Nick Gale and scored 1100 points when he was at narth in pmri in the championship this is his most difficult of the afternoon so far and he just pushes it [Applause] wide can understand the decision to go for goal obviously has been kicking exceptionally well but worst case scenario fry wonders will get an opportunity to attack [Music] again Gale the educated left boot again puted High well taken by Sam Harris through rickos RF Sam Harris which is where the great D Morris and Glen Shaw two great Neath players came from Darren moris as well X1 and Wales and lions prop you might L Jones Jones harest on his own 10 m line there's weeds again does take some stopping forward although that gone forward and Advantage for Jordan Griffith what's the fullback spotted and he's found green as well into the 22 and scurrying back for the wanders goes Ben [Applause] [Music] shiffy [Applause] want to keep the wanders pinned here you that's a pretty decent touch finder yeah very good kick by Johnny George there wers did well to to retain possession because it was brilliant kick from Jordan Griffith to turn them Gren have looked really dangerous on turnover attack and they've been very efficient at rck this is the turnover attack and realizing there's no one in the back field a fair play to bench if he works really hard to get back and this moment is huge stays in field taken at the front by James Parry the former Captain eight times former captain cleared out the halfway line tenant bounces off a few advantage over this [Applause] turn yeah you need to get lower Owen Watts rolling on Shan tenant that was Advantage this is much better from Glen Meep still got the penalty Advantage no you still got it okay will come back from the pen and just a interesting point from the referee there you might have heard him say if watching home over the sternum this course the community game Steph and different laws for the for the tackle yeah yeah it is and I think it's Lloyd Pik you can see he's very high isn't he he's obviously a man who's experienced playing the Premiership level where that type of tackle is is you know probably the laws are a bit more lenient on it but uh well they've kept it in play yeah but it gets penalized at this level is saying yeah yeah it does and that's where and you can understand the law to protect to protect players The Tackle height needs to be lower lost now two yeah so the coaching Point come on boys you can't run without his sternum is it this is Glen keeping possession now much better in this second half that's Craig tenant excellent continuity from the red and white Owen Watts this time another [Applause] penalty Scott Hawkins having a little Dart gal they will come back for the penalty though three need move um we've seen about it it was full-blooded and pretty fast in the first half St um division one level how much would Fitness uh would teams be be reasonably matched in terms of Fitness would you say yeah I think so these both these teams are going well in their in their leagues so in terms of their Fitness levels but definitely I think will catch up on them the pitch is firm they're playing a high Tempo physical game so you know it's going to it's going to tell as the game goes on in the way of the nine or lying on Top of the Rock he want to Jackal roll first it's Gareth Havard there um a significant difference in Glen's attacking style in this second half they're moving the ball a lot more playing a bit more High Tempo [Applause] stuff Captain you still post we still post and uh next game of course is Baro against R and there's the bar great Club there at the top of the rney valley the Bulls as they known and they used to have a papam bull called Samurai big big uh full-size papam Bull have you ever seen Samurai no no and I I wonder what they bringing him today yeah smuggling him in great thing about bar good as well they're one of the high one of the few high level teams that run a second team you know so it's a real you know rugby for all in that in that club really good club now this is uh dlan Francis again again to claw something back to bring it to a one point game he's three from three so far and this would take him past 200 points to the season as well but his most difficult shot of the afternoon yet seemed to give it a thumb and he's got it as well what's a terrific kick from Dylan Franz and there's Max looking a little bit uh worried it's a one-point [Music] [Applause] game you know that's a a big warning there for the wanders Steph outside pen conceded yeah absolutely and it's been far too many penalties really from their perspective just giving Ben easy opportunities to get into their [Applause] half taken by weeds and forced out and the little things have started to go Glen neath's way [Applause] here little wins I think they call them in the Pro gam are they little wins all about little wins this is a perfect example of it is a great kick and they force weeds out and you can feel the momentum of the game changing you know we talk about little WI and how they add up to change momentum of games and glena definitely in the process of doing that big kick downt is from Sam [Applause] Harris have a a have a goal you could shout here it shouted from the touch line to Luke Weaver once again the wanders defensive line is pretty solid and pretty quick as [Music] well just a little nudge forward from Scott hawkins's [Applause] on I'm sure clly wond will be Keen to just maintain a bit of possession here make Len defend for phases because when they did in the first half they looked a really good team Unfortunately they haven't really had much possession second half to build any sort of pressure this man's been busy and exceptional Josh weeds [Music] set and that's a better scrun from Glen although they can see the penalty and Josh weed is off with it he'll be brought back but that's the first sign of Glen of scrub getting a little bit of scrub momentum number one actions out [Music] around it's been a competitive scrum scrum game isn't there a couple of penalties either way Gren had a really good early shove here the ref de the the lose said to be on the angle I think it was O what yeah wine watts is a student at exitor University played in the Bucks this season it's the Super League for the University sites now Nick Gil want to put this over just to take the sting out of uh the Glen Neath Resurgence in this second half oh never in doubt you could hear the sound off the boot never in in doubt we're going to hear from Grant bignal the Glen Heath coach with Lloyd yeah so I'm here with Grant Glen Head Coach once again unfortunately to concede that penalty but it seemed like a big momentum shift of the first 10 minutes of that half what did you tell him at half time a it was a bad uh bad move on your part then just just before the interview but yeah we we started building the scoreboard uh started building a bit more pressure we started to play a little bit more rugby as well we asked them to you know attack them a little bit more uh just make the kicks a little bit more contestable so we you know we can make them 50-50s and try and get the ball back I think uh we we're better at the breakdown now as well we just clearing past the ball a bit more so yeah yeah we just build momentum we building down and we getting some penalties I think you know we probably missed out the first half on the 50-50s but yeah yeah well I said the momentum is defitely Shi in that first 10 minutes I can see a try coming four penalties so far if have to put your money on it who's going to get the next TR for Glen next f for GL Jed or Jed or my boy JY nice one Grant cheers mate thank you very much back to you L that was Grant bignal the Glen coach and he mentioned Jed oy who's uh bit of a character jedy he's an s4c children's presenter isn't he yeah yeah he is yeah LD have known him well didn't get many of those in my day television presenters playing CL good line speed from from the wers here putting pressure on CL they've realized that they want to try and play as gr speaking move the ball a bit more attack them so the line speed was more prominent in that uh in that set and Harry Morgan frustrated you can see what glenita trying to do though challenge K wand's defense on the edges of their defensive line another big SCM here bind set hold it [Music] there just gone straight across reset just straight so we reset the scrum after that amalgam of leather and limbs the last well 25 minutes to go the scrum could well yet be uh a vital Factor as the game goes on step yeah definitely and the way that the scrums have been going so far how competitive they are they're a real into the game for teams especially with kickers as effective as the both teams have got if you can get an upper hand in the scrum penalty Wise from from either team's perspective it gives you a chance to Chip Away channel one ball from the wers for weed the that's the 22 of Glen Neath in the background Lloyd Pike better from the wanders [Music] Gale okay off your feet now too but LLY for weeds as he use the big men ke and juel on the ball push here stepen Phillips once again the tackling is ferocious from both sides K Jones hint of something here just couldn't get the pass in out of the tackle Johnny George and glena burgled it back and a useful exit as well from Delan [Applause] Francis where's the ball land I think we're going to come back for a double penalty okay he's late it's good set again from Glen defensively okay first of all Wonders on the front foot Johnny George does a great job just not accurate enough on the offload and then a sloppy play in the end from if he want a jack he's got the ball the Wonders will give a penalty away it's been check got this penalty the turnover and then from the kick is a lazy Challenge from K and jeel and it gives Glen an opportunity to gain cth Mets a useful penalty touch finder as well from Delan Harris ke and jeel well I wasn't so much late as uh potimus really it was and it's exactly what Glen would would want to be able to get out from there yeah complete momentum change in terms of territory okay still only a one score game Advantage side entry number two Advantage coming Craig tenant in the van hear the GL meath to Port getting behind their side all 10 busloads of them Francis again Care at that man again Josh weeds well that was an absolute bramar of a tackle on D Francis they do get the penalty though Glenny there's not much that guy can't do is that Josh weeds he's been jackling back doors passing as a scrum half quick Taps and now he's two side entry put an enormous tackle I think there he is Josh weeds oh yeah O'Reilly yeah just well to stay within the laws of the game there J weed make sure he doesn't tip him above the horizontal about replacement 14 The Replacements coming on and in the meantime D Francis has pled the ball to the 5 m Mark and this has got to be Glen's best attacking opportunity of the game time let's [Applause] [Music] [Applause] go taken by Conor McManaman and the still an advantage coming and here goes the cavan step for Glen Neath they've got a bit of forward momentum they're over the line surely will score held up just held up time out time out now we have got a TMO of [Applause] [Music] course the referee made a positive decision straight away Captain positive not Inland need's favor positive from the fact that uh a definite decision we've got the early drive and we've also got a side entry or a dynamic Mo by number two okay we need be better down here yeah yeah discipline just penalty if you want the lineer you can just have it without the kick okay timeing in the line up so he's just taking the line up there early you feel this is a huge moment in the game 20 minutes left and Glen deserve an opportunity down here they've worked really hard a different team they set second half are they in front of their home crowd [Applause] here come on Craig tenant 16 tries this season the hooker Vantage in the air top score top try scorer they've got an advantage as well Glen they may not need it tenant is there again they will get the penalty we might well get a yellow as well for kesse wandas early two you again I think it's the captain yes it is rodri Owens got the line you got it taking the line out do need a kick and a try will put Glen Neath into the lead for the first time okay lad let's go you call for the line out let's [Applause] [Music] [Applause] go so Craig tenant finding his man is the first thing t ball is here Ball's there out and weeds finds a decent enough touch finder from the uh pressure and it's still great attacking position for Glen but they may feel they've missed a chance there step yeah big opportunity there 5 m out having one three penalties in a row and forc the yellow card but you know they're still down in the area of the field to cause the wondrous problems they only need to score to get ahead so big moment for both teams here into the final quarter of the division one cup at principality Stadium Glen NE getting the chge going again keep it up tenant that man is in steerage class at the back of that mall they've gone 20 M the Cavalry have [Applause] arrived once again they can't convert though talking about the we s in the first half the uh the swing of confidence yeah yeah definitely it's it's a huge moment because it was such a well-formed mle from Glen you felt like there was no chance that Wes could stop them Le but they did they're going to have to make a change here clari wandas because they hooker and Captain rodri Owens is off so they'll have to bring another hooker on this is a great moall from Glen but just look at the effort of the Wonders boys the discipline not to pull it down is so easy to pull that down and give a penalty away and then obviously because it's a mle they're allowed to stay on the ball I I assume it is but I'll tell you other okay okay number three okay and then six for the hooker to come on six just a replacement for you for the hooker to come [Applause] on quite some time yet I don't know it's not been long since you had it James Varden coming on for Gareth hall for Glen [Music] [Applause] Neath [Music] step Adam Nations rather Adam Nation [Music] on and Crouch Ben shiffy off and Nick Frampton on for The Wanderers big scrum for The Wanderers set they're down to seven remember [Applause] the SEC enough for Josh weeds still Glen have planted the flag in territory of the wanders for three sub hear from even Phillips [Applause] shortly I think uh Ian is just uh speaking on the Welsh language feed so uh will take it back up Josh weeds again did well there just gave his fly half a bit of space the captain alled Evans for [Applause] Glen Luke weever caught on halfway very good defense from from the wanders to gain a bit more territory there especially with a man down Glen still looking to play with with high Tempo and they move the ball a bit more the second half ball is playable Owen canny the replacement scrum half Delan Francis well taken by Lewis Jones he couldn't mark it of course use pass back into the 22 for Nick Gale so he had to keep it in play Kenny with a little snipe penalty for [Applause] wandres well he wouldn't want to be a batting man at this stage it's a real close encounter isn't it both teams fighting hard especially at the breakdown wonderers will be pleased with this effort especially down a man Lloyd Pike really competitive strong over the ball and they'll be pleased to just get a bit of territory down in Glen half because this second half's been all Glen a lot of it down in the wonderers half so they' be pleased to weather that storm the last 10 [Applause] [Music] [Applause] minutes [Music] break away we broke off break away trampton going to the left side here's a chance for Josh weeds weeds just held by the ankle still going though weeds remarkable run by the scrum half he's been a thorn in the side of Glen meath all afternoon he almost went all the way there he still might get another chance uses Ryan Evans is this the compelling moment of the game to make it a two-score game briyan Morgan still down at 14 men remember the [Applause] [Music] wanders weeds once more looking for his number eight Lloyd Pike who almost got on the [Applause] [Music] outside Advantage coming stepen Phillips there with his man Ryan Evans his second R partner we will come back for the [Applause] penalty tack post calls uh yes please sensible decision I think so I was just thinking in my head now you can get carried away with these decisions as a captain you know you're excited you're enthusiastic but in the grand scheme of the games especially down to 14 men it's a good decision cuz a rolling mall with seven forwards against eight is more difficult obviously same with a scrum so they'll be pleased to have weathered the storm and get back down to Glen's half and Come Away with three points which going into the last sort of 13 minutes really important but it has been a fantastic game of rugby really competitive between both teams physical encounter and you got to give both teams credit but this is the business end of the game Nick Gale no problem for him so it's uh a seven-point game now 1912 8 6 and 15 s we got a yellow car B couple subs for Glen Neath for the [Applause] [Applause] card uh in the event of a draw uh it'll be most tries team of the most tries that'll be unless he wers at the moment then it'll be if they're at tied it'll be converted tries then it'll be extra time and at the end of extra time tries and converted tries again and then if it's all level then it'll be uh the trophy [Music] shared well leis Jones just beautifully to uh kette out of that tackle ball is there Gale a bit early yet for the wanders to play Down The Clock St you'd thought yeah yeah I think so they'll stick to this territory game which has been their bread and butter playing the game down in Glen half there's no use changing now it's worked for them throughout the game just look at to pin Corners well positioned there aled Evans and he's found a bit of green as well this could be useful if the kick Chase is [Applause] good still in so they'll have to go again Glen this is where the legs will start to to feel it and Glen Subs may have an impact on the game they've made a lot more changes than the [Applause] wandas reads again James Parry put down on his own 10m line Kenny it for Francis kicks St down the middle I think both teams appreciate in the importance of territory and Len will win that battle okay two on the card Lads yeah just have the minute now left on the yellow yeah just give give me a minute yeah this is obviously Steph a full siiz Stadium as a pitch as big a pitch as you can uh probably get with the perhaps exception of the dead ball areas so will that make a difference to both sides because they prob playing on Club pitches might not be as big yeah I think so definitely um and also the you know we spoken about the pitch and How firm it is a lot of the club pitches this time of year with the weather are very heavy so playing on a firm pitch will take a lot more out of the legs and to be honest the ball's been in play Such so much during this game both teams electing to kick the ball on the field so you can see now while they're getting some water here catching their breath they need this break just to to get enough in the tank for the last 12 minutes even the referee there having a bit of Water by the look of him a big day as well for the officials for the the referee and the other three officials fantastic and it's really important to know that the officials are developed as well on I'm sure the refs are feeling it a bit of cramp as well in his carves yes Matthew Leon good hopefully he's got another 12 minutes in him Mar over here Lads time St there Lads bit and he's done pretty well as well Matthew Leon I think need take the line out Ed he goes around again Craig tenant then from the 10 need go up the guts of the wanders defense they've got a penalty coming as [Applause] well rrey Evans still rolling and wrestling nice ball inside to Allan Evans from Craig tenant balls [Applause] here benath getting some momentum going Callen boen away now that time and here could be something for Glen Miss p and it's going to be the first TR surely if you can know what Miracle defense by the wanders when it looked a certain try they still might have something though Kenny well we have to see the replay of that wanderous defense tackle M big big moment of the game there might be something out on that wide outside Sam Harris steps inside for the red and blacks Joe Hughes not on the ball ball is here it's your player bit slow for Kenny he got to use the big man Callen Bowen once more they go James Varden this time must be shy and it is for Callen boen and Glenn n get their first try and they're right back in it it's a two- score game with a conversion to come and there was an air of inevitability about it great pleasure from Glen Neath and they got the reward oh they've played some brilliant rugby this second half Glen in the end it was inevitable as you said Phil they moved the ball so well from one side of the feed to the other that's the difference in their game in the second half they're a lot more direct first half and just look at their work rate here the subs have made a huge difference I got to say to their energy and they sapping work for the defense and the Kaki wonders are not quite there defensively and in the end Glen get a try they deserve and it's a huge kick for that man now danan Francis he's put over four so far this afternoon Delan Francis squar it up and he's done it it's all square with 8 minutes to go 190 let's go to Lloyd [Applause] Lewis I here with sha Gil Shan you almost weathered the storm with a man in Sim you're back to full strength now what are the messages going to the last minutes there's nothing in offness Clen put pressure on they took the took their points very well there but uh we back to 15 now and uh it's going to be a fantastic last8 minutes uh which way is going to go I just hope we go to the Wonders have you got one eye on extra time does that change your thought process um yeah we're just going to try to win the game first you know just tough out there you know the boys are getting tired but uh I think the next score is going to win the game cheers Sean thank you very much all the best we are sha gaale next SC to win the game at the moment it will go to extra time because there's been a try each and they've both been converted so uh it will go to extra time discipline is is a huge part of this game now for both teams because okay no 20 clearly both kickers are our top level kickers and you know this is where the nerves start building the pressure starts building well taken by Jaden [Applause] Burton another Ros product also played for abok comboy when he was [Applause] younger and he wouldn't want to be the per to know who uh concedes a penalty or a vital knock on Nale a Nale rather he getting a difficult bounce keep moving and you can see Steph just by the way the players are uh are moving just trying to get any sort of breath they can they really are playing on fumes at the moment both sets of players yeah they are absolutely and this this kicking game now shows a little bit of nerves but also how important territory is to force errors from the opposition that's a brilliant kick from Johnny George great work to keep it in play Owen kenelly in did well to get the pass away and this is uh where you don't want to concede and there's the commentator's curse against [Applause] Glen Lloyd Pike again that man has been instrumental as in he's worked everywhere and there's no doubt that they're going to take three the Wonders kick in game and territory plan is worked you know that is exactly what they want to kick long Johnny George Glen playing a little bit with fire just look at the wondrous numbers around there there's three or four guys at the breakdown and you feel this is a huge moment in the game rodri Owen's a captain Lloyd Pike moving out the way so it's Nick Gil you get the feeling he would sacrifice every one of his more than 1100 points for narth and his uh 200 odd points for the wanders this season just to nail this one five from six he is so far this perhaps to win the cup the division one cup and he's nailed it wandra sneak back into the lead as the educated metronomic left Bo Nick Gale gives him another three 14 and [Applause] eight is that the most important kick of his career well we've got four and a half minutes left to [Applause] see got 14 couple more subs just coming on that's your man Nick Gail 30 years of age son of the coach sha Gail he's at a tremendous kicking jeel with that his opposite number Delan Francis or opposite kicker Delan Francis who drops out for L now can the wanders just weather out the final minutes well Glen Neath have turned that one what if the red and Black's got the 10 met line of the wanders Alan Evans the captain he won't give up Craig tenant been outstanding pen Neath going over oh it's another terrific tackle this time on Adam Nation the pin back on the halfway again the captain trying to spark [Applause] things nice pass out of the Tackle by James parry and here's that man again tenant going up to the 22 tenant bucking on Kenny that's nice and quick for the scrum half Sam Harris looking for something on the outside [Applause] Jed [Music] O'Reilly leave it come one just thought they turned it I think they might have yes they have that's your player that's your player Josh weeds borrowing like a homesick mole to get that one and then just fires it off with an exit to just relieve the pressure and counter more a few more seconds [Applause] Down Jack hard it was the wing who affected the turnover former new Dog Stars player another one who played in the do Shield final here for clle schools Ben Phillips is on and for Stefan Phillips the scorer of the clely wanders tro that's what's coming up after stay tuned get a bottle of wine out or a can couple of cans that's what's coming up 3:00 Baro against a that's the championship final and then merther and slandy the Premiership final so it's all here on S SPC a celebration of all the Best of Club rugby and the wel get criticized for many things justifiably so on many occasions but uh one thing they do well is this road to the principality that gives clubs at all levels the chance to play at this wonderful stadium and what a game this one has been 2219 just that penalty that late penalty a few minutes ago by Nick Gale separating these two sides and it's a shame this has to be a loser for this one yeah talking to aled Williams the chairman ofy wand was in the week and he was saying that this is the biggest day in the club's history and that is why Nick Gale is that the one he'll be telling his Greg gr children about 17 of the 22 points have gone to that trusty left boot your Sam Harris just coming off Jordan Griffith having to come back on M Glen Neath have they got something left in the tank in the last two and a half minutes wait okay Adam Nation there he is again great [Applause] tenant you got [Applause] it another turnover though by the wanders and Josh Reeds keeps Glen Neath pinned no hands for is there [Applause] Frances and here's Jed O'Reilly he's got no option really other than to try and keep it alive putting it out is not an option at this stage tenant again once again he breaks the gain line the 10 m line of Glen a little dinking there that man weeds is back again he puts it out on the full but I don't think uh the wanders will be too worried about that giv him a time for a breather and to just reset Glen Neo will have one final chance let's go Lads okay he's up let's go 30 seconds to go there's the uh set in game the start of the match Josh Reeds the uh scrum half ofle wanders a durel bunny of a performance Been Everywhere what have Glen Neath got remember remember a try would win it for [Applause] them canny sizing up his options uses James par as a runner it's there for rodri [Applause] Evans Adam Nation the clock is red still Glen need come pass over the top just doesn't find his man and it's a kick downtown by Lewis Jones and that will be the final Act and tessi wand is in their first ever visit to the National Stadium the principality stadium win the division one cup at the first time of asking and look at those celebrations tells you everything you need to know about what it means to Cy wanders to win here at the big stage a word though for Glen Neath they were terrific their hooker Craig tenant in particular was a magnificent performer and uh it could have gone either way the goal kicking of both sides was was terrific the defense of both sides was was excellent the fitness of both sides was tremendous you couldn't have asked for a better advertisement for League one Club rugby in Wales and it's a shame that there has to be a winner uh shame that there has to be a loser rather but Clint NE played their part fully there it is fulltime in the division one cups lesie wanders win just it's leely wand with 22 Glen Neath 19 [Music] [Applause] I her de have principality te in a game LD Lewis Josh St out there congratulations you are the man of the match today first of all how did you feel not good that was it was such a game L running rugby in that uh back and forth it was a really good game througho far great performance from from all of the boys fair play obviously a very tight neck group promotion isn't guaranteed but it's looking very very likely how you how much you looking forward to the championship next season very much so uh it's been quite tough this year uh got a few boys in but we've watch every single League game has been a struggle for us but we managed to get then hope hopefully we can finish top and what's the plans tonight Josh uh it can't away but we'll go out and see yeah in a big city well Josh congratulations me m of the match thank you very much [Applause] cheers kick [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] heavy kick do game Nick Gil can you hear us can Shak k k for G so I just well off off a car game so just yeahi for [Applause] for for for [Music] for yeah [Applause] well [Applause] Ro [Applause] [Applause] [Music] point and just V team [Music] right that's garan John the uh head of community rugby for the wels Rugby Union just presenting the medals to the lessi wanders team we've just seen the Glendy team go through and what a game 2219 a late penalty by Nick Gale part of a 17-point hall for [Applause] him there he is Nick Gale he receiving his award it be rodrian the captain to get the trophy there we are Division One Cup winners the first ever visit to the stadium fory wanders and they win that trophy at their first attempt a club formed in 1951 by a group of ex-servicemen out of an original original club called Le Ley [Applause] YMCA and they finally got the big one on the big [Applause] stage there he is rodri Owens they already got promotion from League 1 West there he goes rodri Owens and this is going to be a moment that all of those players will Trish for the rest of their Liv there we are the well super union division one cup belongs to hessy wandz who beaten Glen NE by 22 points to [Music] 19 a word for Glen NE as well because they played their part it was a magnificent final great advert for uh for division one rugby great great ADV for Wells Club rugby in general and let's go to Lloyd Lewis as he's got some [Applause] company gr very close game through route you proud of the boys efforts today oh absolutely you know they they dug in right to the end I thought we know we there was a real momentum shift in that second half and uh I thought we really building towards um either a penalty or obviously a try but we changed tactics over the last 10 15 minutes and sort of went up the middle of bit um I would been quite happy to take a penalty and then play another 20 minutes I thought they were tiing in I thought we were fit there and we had a bit more energy about us yeah no you're credit to yourselves definitely you're obviously such a tight Nick boys it's was a pleasure to join you a breakfast this morning uh you're guaranteed promotion you are promoted to the championship next season how big is that for the boys moving forward yeah huge we uh we got promoted without even playing yesterday so so yeah you know it's we've been building for a couple of years and you know it's more than they deserve we've worked really hard for the season we've got the boys fit uh and we've sort of improved the squad so I think we're better prepared to go up into the championship for next season um and real make a real impact on that yeah well done to D all the best next season thank you grant cheers yeah my T Nick Gail Sean Gail enemy n now sea Gail one season in charge and you're taking the cup home to sley not I'm just pleased for the players to be honest so the effort they put in you know we we wanted to get them fitter that was the big thing we had to do and you know the attendance and training has been fantastic and the effort they put in more than anything you know so I'm a proud uh I'm a proud father and a proud coach today I'll be honest plenty of endeav during the game but only one try we're going to take a look at that Steph Phillips try now you might have thought you you had more in you in that first half but it proved enough and it came from that crucial turnover yeah yeah a great turnover and I think I think Nick made a bit of break on the side I he popped it inside didn't he and uh and Ste and the rest so the two player coaches uh today got involved in the TR so they we I spoke proud to them no celebrations from Nick though I was stood here by the touch line he kept the ball alive per play to him but no celebrating until the final whistle is that the kind of player he is yeah yeah he's a cool C my house this morning it wasn't the most Pleasant place to be this morning but I think you were in school in Nick as well say it again I think you were in school in Nick as well I was yes I so yeah but I just say we're very proud today but uh it's all about classy wonders today you know say they hav been the greatest places the last few years and you know for us to to come to come where we've done today is a it's just it's just a fantastic achievement for the whole club Sean I know these Bo have got questions but we haven't got any time so we're going to leave you just by saying congratulations thank you very much right okay well [Applause] gri have a game on [Applause] guys e for
