way to Hollywood from Arkansas you come a long way baby second class don't turn me on at all we come long way baby all the way to Hollywood from [Laughter] most of you will no doubt recognize this for those of you watching the show on the radio I'm holding up a record I mean it could be anyone's record so let's see what this one's called it's called I'm so glad and it's by Jimmy Osman how about that for coincidence well tonight we thought that we'd show you how something like this gets made starting with those funny little squiggling music notes on a sheet of paper and going right through the entire recording session so take it away OS [Music] Mondos what we do to make a record is uh we all get together and and think of uh Hooks and verses and choruses and we put them all together and then we make a demo and if we really like the demo we uh record it and we call it a master it's just when you make a record everybody has an opinion and uh it takes one person like for instance my brother Merill or whoever is really designated to uh produce the record to say this is the way it's going to be but he's uh he's very open-minded to all suggestions which I think is important because uh not everybody's right and everybody has a good idea [Music] so I'm so glad that I found you I'm to glad that going to my first recording uh was in Japan uh the song was called chichoo in English that's my little darling I was around 6 years old that was really exciting but I had to learn Japanese phonetically and it took quite a while a second hold on sounded good but just a little keep your eyes open flat get your eyes closed can feel [Music] it I uh I think of myself is pretty normal but I like I say I never went to U regular school I've always had correspondent courses so it's always kind of separated me from my age group but uh I have a few friends and we really get along really well you have a good time play baseball and some [Music] activities I'm so glad so glad I'm with you the both together [Music] I don't think anything's really missing in my life I've done everything I've really wanted to do and I have a lot of goals that I've set and I'm going to accomplish I hope I don't know everybody's different Jimmy you guys come on in let's see what we got here we go yeah my but it's hot woo good job good I think what makes a hit record is is the hook you know uh the repetitiousness like for instance my single I'm so glad you know it's it's keep keeps going and it's got a neat beat and easy to dance to and I think people like that one thing bu when I all right here we go here we go okay [Music] I'm so glad that I found you I'm so glad that I love so fine I'm so glad that I found you I'm so glad that you're going to be [Music] mine together baby I'm so glad I'm so glad when I'm with you all the stars in heaven shine and when we're both together all the world each I [Music] hold ins Never Say Goodbye never going to walk away from you baby never miss that smile never lose that St no never no never everything you can see [Music] time when we together baby I'm so glad I'm so glad found you I'm so glad that I love you so F I'm so glad that I found you I'm so glad that going [Music] to you baby yeah [Music] together so [Laughter] the Osman family show will return after these messages on [Music] on up up oh [Music] up are are good love I got a truck and
