UNLV's Pistol Bunch Is One Of THE Best Passing Formations In College Football 25! 09.05 Stream

hey guys back here another little bonus episode for you this was from our stream on Thursday we streamed here on YouTube and twitch twitch.tv/ man tr28 if you want to go give me a follow over there uh we had some technical issues so I had to take the VOD down it wasn't really showing up right but I still wanted to get these games up up here so in this game we are using UNLV and we are trying out the pistol offense we have the Full House twins over I believe it's called and the pistol bunch a full house mainly it's pretty much all runs we try out a few different things it's more you'll see you'll see uh pistol Bunch unbelievable passing formation they got some really really good play uh in that formation and I love this UNLV Playbook the more we're getting into it uh defensively we're staying in our 326 uh free safety zone Blitz cover three defense so all right that's enough blabbing for me enjoy the game one vote for pistol sounds good I think pistol Bunch should be pretty easy to pass out of they have some really good pass plays in there and that Full House just looks insane I don't know how it's going to work without us being able to um hot route the play action out of there CU they only have one pass play in that formation but you know what we're going to try it we are going to try it out and really what I I shouldn't say this before the game starts but one of the things I've loved so much about UNLV my limited times playing with him is their defense their defensive playbooks they have Dollar all right so pistols Full House twins over halfback we don't want a tight end back there just want all halfbacks back there Perfect all right we're going to start off with some runs here start off with a triple option Oops I did triple option counter by accident yeah they play at the Raider Stadium and yeah I love their uniforms too so I think so this is going to be a triple option going out to the left we're going to keep it and Pitch it and can we get out no he got out there for it he got out there for it I meant to do triple option uh a here this is I think the better triple option I don't really like that one so much so now this one we can hand it off to number four cutting to the left or we run an option out to the right oh whoops whoops get it okay pitch that a little late pitch that a little late all right let's look at let's go to Bunch uh flanker drive so this we're going to set up similarly to one of our split backs pass split backs pass plays so we take a post y streak I was hoping Y is going to be on the right that's fine let just get it in here quick quick tackle we can we're going to actually hurry up go to Seattle and we're probably going to throw this to RB here on this seam oh my God threw it too early threw it too early that was getting wide open oh that was getting open okay so we need to do the slot Corners I think that's all we really got to do all right should have this set up all right no rocket catches that oh man I think we had that I thought that was good defense yeah V and shoot's definitely something I need to um I need to look at more I've only used it the two times and I know it's really good cuz people kill me when they're running it but that's just something I need to get in and actually like figure out how I want to do it but no I really love the looks of it I just yeah I got to get more comfortable with it all right so we're going to do a little more bunch here at least to get us started I should probably save the Full House for later in games but I just wanted to try it I wanted to see how those triple options actually worked so we still have some good runs out of here too this like inside Zone should be all right just hold that block out there no okay okay so we have that inside Zone we do have a read option counter inside Zone split so there's still some good runs out of here what are the other passes we wanted to do I know Seattle I want to get flanker Drive I want to figure out best way we can run this so we take a so if we're on the right hash okay the streaks going the opposite way so we're actually just going to keep him in and block and we just hit we had the post to to a we have both those wide open so really the best way to do this would be to flip it yeah CU we want that halfback streak coming from behind the post so we want the post here and we want the halfback streak kind of taking that spot behind them and you got a little stuck on the line there but you can still see how that works everybody clears out following the post and the drag and then the halfback just kind of takes that empty spot behind them okay so that worked nice Seattle we know that was open last time I just threw it too early and we could put y out on something here too if we if we wanted to so Texas route no that's going the wrong way yeah whatever we'll just keep it it doesn't really matter oh oh didn't need to secure here catch that I thought he was going to break on that for a second but he did not cuz those little like wheel routes you can throw really quick and almost like flats and then you got to wait for him to turn up field if you want to run now this halfback Zone we can actually just flip and he's going to run to the left now he's bringing everybody down so we're just going to go back to the right just find that Gap and it's nice running out of pistol it's you get a little bit of like a head start I'm going to do Seattle flipped here and I kind of just want to get our halfback swinging out to the left we had to have had some stuff open there I just didn't see we had to have all right so we're going to go back to this here there's an x on the drag Juke out his user we cut okay that's going to be that's going to be a good play 166 rushing yards and two [Laughter] quarters God I wouldn't be staying in that game I can tell you that I would not be staying that game all right should we get try this out some more yeah I'm going to try a little off tack lot of twins over here so this is going to be uh off tackle run to number four and we can go outside not bad not bad that worked pretty nicely okay so maybe the Full House is be more of our Red Zone and bunch to get us in the Red Zone potentially potentially yeah it's definitely something I've noticed too about this game more than others more than like madenford example people just do not want to quit they will stay in that game until that clock hits zero it takes a lot to except for apparently when they're playing army but oh I didn't turn auto flip off luckily we're fine for now but that's L I did forget that so on this we have to turn auto flip off all right should should be set here and I want to get Mooney out of here too go make your tackles okay or or we can do that or we can do that yeah I think that off tackle I think is going to be a really good play I'll take you a look but yeah it's a lot of like triple options a lot of really fun runs but there's not really any passes out of that formation so it makes it kind of tough to I don't think you'd be able to sit in it a whole game but but Red Zone wise maybe maybe yeah cuz they only have one pass it's PA boot we might try it we might try it just to try it get these guys backed up you're right there in a curl flap buddy right there just watching him catch it right underneath the I did have him shaded over the top I guess but maybe I will shade him under underneath he's been going to the flats a ton big hit big hit I say he's been going a lot of flats and drags get the outside corners backed up stay over here with Woodard I'm going to get down on these oh he found the Gap he found the cover three Gap see now I don't know if that was lucky [Applause] why am I disconnected what is going on all right I think we're back now I think I don't know what's going I don't know it says I'm reconnected but I don't know if I actually am or not I think we're back gave him a touchdown it's too panicked about what was going on all right so my chat's not working though let's see this is just all a mess I don't know what's going on that's twice now it's just died it just OBS something just pops up and says it's disconnected doesn't give me a reason or anything so I don't know spin them out oh man they really killed those spin moves so yeah I I don't know I don't know what would be causing that to was that against me he came and blocked me how is how is that a penalty against me his tight end came and blocked me okay that's fair he's going to have that Crosser oh I went to hit stick him for no reason there was no reason for me to try that zero reason at all for me to try that but I figured why not wouldn't it be cool if it worked that's the only reason I really need I suppose all right I'm going to try keeping the match on this time oh and he runs it where are you going maybe I guess it was cuz I kept the match on you went running off to Nowhere all right we're going to shade underneath oh he had that was a good little play he had he snuck his uh snuck his halfback out behind the other streak he had out there it's kind of like what we did very similar very very similar I had him shaded over the top to hopefully have him back up enough for that this guy knows what he's doing against cover three for sure all right let's try a couple different passes here his slant spacing doesn't look bad PE deep end doesn't look bad let's try tight end angle let's give that a shot so I think we we know that um whatever that other play is called is a good one we know that one works so we want to try some other stuff here that one looked pretty good too okay yeah I think this pistol bunch is going to be a super good passing formation like you'll be able to throw out of this fairly easily yeah I might try the Zone drops next time just to um oh God no I don't like that we want them yeah yeah yeah yeah oh was a lot God we had our tight end open oh we had our tight end open all right so flank or drive I think it would work better going this way yeah cuz I'm only thinking if I set my zone drops at like 15 then and if I shade underneath they'll or over the top they'll be at 15 if I shade underneath um they'll be in hard Flats we're going to actually flip this to the left yep yep yep hold your blocks out there hold your blocks out there he just blocked like three guys he just blocked like three guys that receiver just earned himself full ride however long it takes you to graduate buddy you can stay at UNLV for that blocking effort you did there excellent orc excellent yeah cuz my only thought of doing the Zone drops is I think he knows this is that cover three defense he's going to try to do some of those Corner routes and things if we set a curl flat at like 20 that should take that stuff away or we can just do hard Flats instead cuz like right here I bet he's going to be looking for a corner out on the trip side defensive end pick six how about that how about that didn't even mean to click on to that guy didn't even mean to do it can't pretend I meant to do it uh but we did and we we made it work we made it work oh god oh I was definitely impressed with nordre Dame that defense played really well H we'll take that one too I was very impressed with the order a you got to think they're pretty much a shoe in for the playoffs at this point you would have to imagine going into Texas A&M and pulling off that win it's a shame what's about to happen to him at 230 on Saturday though it's a real shame what's going to happen when those Huskies come in and knock off notor Dame uh we're going to do the same thing cuz I think he's still in man coverage so if these guys hold these blocks it's just going to be the safety over there we have to beat I held it okay yeah Miguel so I live I mean Chicago area like 45 minutes west of Chicago so a ton of Notre Dame fans but next this coming Saturday they play NIU which was my number one team that I root for in football and then they play Purdue next week is my number two team I play in football so it's going to be a tough couple weeks probably for me but Purdue's got some magic you never know you never know at least that one produ at home did he he better got a flag if this one's on us too okay good well this seems like a good time to try some more of this Full House twins over uh triple yeah triple option switch so this one so our regular triple option it's a going to the left and we can hand it off this one to be why coming up the middle and just for example purposes I was going to hold on to it and Pitch it we're going to try it oh nice yeah I mean NIU looked good in week one but they're playing a western Illinois I think pretty sure they're playing Western so they should have looked good oh oh I got to get better user Juke there yeah in not to aim I mean it'd be hilarious I don't see it happening but boy would it be funny I beat oh we'll just do a little off tackle here let's try to get outside hold those blocks hold those blocks cut it fight okay fourth and two not bad I mean sure we'll go for it why not I think we'll just try this slam just kind of run up the middle and I think yeah I can switch this to be on the right side that's good to know then we can just cut it out and then hard cut hard cut hard cut yeah we'll just run out the clock here the Lost of Marshall was tough but yeah that one to Ohio State that's one of those just the they had it they had it they had it and then that was the one the very last play of the game they didn't they only had like 10 guys on defense right in Ohio State still barely got it with that run up the middle yeah that one was brutal but what's the um I'm asking a lot of questions what's the toughest game Notre Dame even has left has left now I feel like they don't really have much o go number four go number four run up the score run up the score on him why not I liking these pistol this little combination of pistol stuff I'm liking it I just love this unlb Playbook save our first go- go attempt for when we're not playing at [Laughter] Michigan oh boy told you once we hit that 22nd mark once we hit that a defense I used to run in Madden and stuff too so I'm pretty setting this up and setting up like a double mbal defense I could do with my eyes closed oh I overran it again I almost kind of want him to score at this point yeah yeah just a lot of practice to get those adjustments down so this free safety zone Blitz and setting up a double enal at a 61 cover four I could do those I could do those very very quickly all right take your time out take your time out if we can somehow keep him from keep him out of the end zone keep him from getting another first down go get him boys go no way no way spine Buster hit him with the spine Buster how do he get outside there oh this is that toss isn't it what a crazy formation it was the toss yeah let him score let him score at this point let him score at this point God dang Donovan Edwards in Michigan all right so it's our ball I mean we should have scored last time we had the ball and he should go for two here he's not that leaves the door open that leaves the door just a little bit open for us really offensively I feel like feel like we've been doing all right this kind of looks like man okay maybe not no way how is that intercepted how is that streak open multiple times but it's just then he's going to break on that one all right let's go we'll go back to Seattle yeah anything can happen we just we got to score and then hope for the best put him actually on Texas route I like that a little better if he's ever going to get open he he was stuck on that linebacker for so long so long all right he's just dropping everyone back I'm going to try it going this way ah right at him just right at his face there's no elevation on that ball at all all right we're out of this one it was a good effort we tried really the offense I feel like we didn't play that bad uh that bad pass lead at the end really killed us but we put up an effort all right
