hey guys it's artifact and I'm a bit out of practice with the whole YouTube thing but I wanted to talk about blue protocol shutting down so I just kind of got the most anime game I had recorded don't judge me I'm not the best at fighting games and I literally recorded these fights this morning just because like Grand blue is the only anime thing on my desktop right now so I recorded a few ranked matches got ran over in a few ranked matches but anyways I just wanted something anime in the background in order to talk about blue protocol basically what happened was I was scrolling through Twitter last night couldn't sleep and then I see blue protocol put out a tweet I'm like oh blue let's see what they have to say and then they're like we're done they're shutting down servers in 2025 and they thanked Amazon for their sponsorship and pretty much said blue protocol is not coming to the West anymore Bandai is done with it they're shutting it down and I just kind of wanted to uh throw my throw a video together just to give some quick thoughts on it I'll be brutal honest when I saw that tweet last night I'm like well that kind of sucks and I moved on I didn't like mope about it or anything because my hype for blue protocol kind of died off a while ago between Amazon censoring the hell out of it and uh the biggest turnoff for me was no cosmetic armor sets right you the loot in blue protocol is like a weird sticker program and so your progression isn't viseral like you don't get the boots that drop the gauntlets that drop a helmet shoulder pads anything like that it's just a weird sticker program and that was probably my biggest turn off because if you look the same at level one that you do at level 20 that's just not fun for me and so between that and Amazon censoring it I'm like ah yeah I don't care anymore something I really want to get off my chest is I was seeing the conversations and things and people are like oh darn it Amazon if Amazon didn't focus on throwing to Liberty we could have blue protocol by now and I'll be honest I don't like Amazon especially Amazon game studios but I don't think this falls on Amazon I think this is a Bandai fumble if blue protocol was failing in Japan it probably wasn't going to do good in the west either and that's what it comes down to is like blue protocol released in Japan everyone's like oh this game kind of sucks there's no end game there's no armor sets blah blah blah and then people just gave up on it and I feel like a lot of people in the west just said yeah forget it right and so I don't think blue protocol ever had a chance even if it did come to the West I think it would have been shut down anyways it doesn't bug me that much I used to be super hyped for blue protocol and then I just kind of forgot about it the past couple of years um another MMO failing yeah it is what it is but at the same time we have Throne of Liberty in a few weeks we have ashes of creation if you still believe in that project both um thear within and Dawn Trail came out this year Chrono Odyssey is coming out in 2025 I don't think blue protocol was the last chance for MMOs I think the genre will be fine but as for blue protocol not making it to the West honestly I don't really care it's kind of upsetting that the game was bad but it is what it is um thanks for watching guys and uh remember I'm only casual fighting when it comes to fighting games I'm only a casual that's why the background gameplay kind of sucks and I did stall just to just so you guys could see me win a match but the uh other guy took the rematch so at the end of the day it doesn't matter but tell me what you think about blue protocol shutting down not making it to the West are you upset do you care do you think it got what it deserves tell me in the comments thanks for watching guys and artifact out
