Teacher Appreciation Week- Dr. Wonda Hillard

[Applause] [Music] i'm dr wanda hillard art teacher at bells crossing elementary as an art educator my responsibility is to share with the students the experiences of art through making creating learning about other artists and in learning the artist history how that artists create the artwork and we're going to put our thumb in the center of your clay they're going to be working on a clay pot and so they're going to in terms of the pablo indians their style their technique of creating art basically just using black and white and lines this is my 40th year as an educator i just enjoy teaching that is my gift to teach i have an idea i want to share it there's something that i want somebody else to know about this artist about this material and we're going to take that clay and roll each corner the reward is knowing that i made a difference in somebody's life i want to share with my students that you too can do this i'm an advocate for all the students in my school i'm an advocate for education and i'm going to make this the best experience for this child and that child and all of those who are going to follow behind [Music]
