Gen Z Opera Singer Reacts To SB19 - Mapa

first time and I'll be checking out their official lyric video of their song mappa a little bit about them is that they are a multi-awarded Filipino boy band formed in 2018 the band consists of Pablo Joe stelle Ken and Justin s sp19 is regarded as a leading act in contemporary pooy pop they are now a self-managed group under one Z entertainment a company built and managed by the members of sb19 as a Filipino singer myself I'm so excited to be reacting to a Filipino boy band so with that being said now on the reaction quick disclaimer I am nowhere near an expert as I still have a lot of things to learn me reacting is just a way for me to appreciate the singer's Talent based on the knowledge I have so far it's also a way for me to learn new things [Music] mama [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] wow his beautiful voice and these lyrics really hit me I really felt it he really conveys the love he has for his mom so well with these lyrics so if we look into the lyrics I am sorry for not my best translation or pronunciation but I'll do my best so um it says mama so Mom how are you we don't always get to see each other I miss you so much up weding MAA you always put us first can it be uh can it be you first um akanga I will have the worry so the son wants to take the worry from his mom and uh you know telling his mom that you always put your kids first why don't we put you first at least and we will worry instead of you and those are so touching and wholesome lyrics and I really felt it because I also really relate to this on a personal level I miss my mom so much my mom's all the way in Hong Kong while I'm pursuing my studies here in the states and I appreciate everything my mom uh has done for me I honestly wouldn't have become a singer if it weren't for her she's the one who supported me all throughout my singing career she paid for my lessons she paid for my school all of my dreams wouldn't have come true if it weren't for her and she's the best mom anyone could ask for so I love you mom if you're watching I love you so much and and yeah the this so I really felt it I and I love that they chose to write this song uh showing their love and gratitude to their [Music] [Music] parents before we move on to the course I just wanted to mention a vocal technique thing I I love how he does some clean switches to his head voice at some of the notes and I'm so sorry um I haven't uh recognized each uh bad member's voice so I'm sorry that I uh haven't associate names with the voices so feel free in the comments down below with time stamps to tell me whose voice is from which member of this band and I'm sorry I I'm not sh so familiar with it yet but anyways love that switch he [Music] [Music] [Music] does [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] for again such a beautiful message I love how in this lyrics is telling their mom to rest and not to worry I again really relate to this on a personal level I hope one day that I get to support my mom where she can just enjoy Also such a catchy course and he has such a nice sweet tone to his [Music] [Music] voice fore fore [Music] speeech speech I love the whole switch up where they start talking about their dad and there's this whole musical switch up too where it becomes more a beat in the music kind of reminds me of how in Opera we would use music to distinguish characters as well for example characters have different tempos or motifs Associated to them I just thought that was a cool similarity and again I I love this lyrics and I I love how they really deliver the emotion and love for their parents he has this nice raspiness um that he adds a little bit to this verse that I thought was really fitting and nice so let's look at the lyrics again and forgive me for not the best translation and pronunciation but anyways it says Papa so dad used to remember when I was a kid my heart you prepared for the things that life has to offer so there it says I bring every advice to the very end um even if we are far I will stand I promise my dad I again really relate to this LS on a personal level I really miss my dad and if you're watching that I love you so much and thank you for everything that my dad's also the best dad these lyrics really remind me of how my dad would always give me great advice of how to protect myself you know living in the states far and um all of the advice my dad has given me I really try to remember even if my dad's not near me And so again I I love these lyrics and really relate to [Music] that [Music] [Music] for the song is super catchy I I like its wholesome Melody its wholesome lyrics and I think my favorite part so far is when they do I think it's so catchy and that'll be stuck in my head and so far uh I think we've heard at least two singers correct me if I'm wrong I like how they use two different singers for the two different verses talking about the different parent again I think it's a nice way to do some musical distinction anyways let's hear more of this lovely song [Music] [Music] [Music] the singer in that bridge does a great job with those High belts and his Rifts are so cleaned and then I believe another singer sings after him when it comes back uh to the part before the chorus I believe and I really like the gentleness he has in his tone and how he makes it in a Pian more piano Dynamic again I'm so sorry I haven't distinguished the names to each voice yet um I will I I will do my research after I promise so sorry nice long mode over there [Music] la [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] beautiful ending I love how it ends on a piano damic and it ends with the lyric MAA means Mom Dad you guys should rest and that's such a again wholesome message and now looking at this last lyric I think I believe this title is a double meaning so MAA inal means map and then looking at this last lyric Ma Pa means mom dad and so I I guess I assume it's saying how MAA mom dad is like the map the the guide for your life I think that's such a nice title I love that talking more about some singing I love the ad libs we hear the singer there was doing some amazing Rifts and then before that you have them I think in like the last chorus they all start singing together singing different vocal lines and I thought that was such a cool part I loved reacting to this just really touched my heart so much that's the end of the
