you have one like that um yeah uh playing football for many years uh you know it's a game where you got to fight till the end and uh thought we had a good I thought we were prepared well for uh to fight today end uh you know we just didn't capitalize so something we need to work on turning the page is often mentioned but how do you actually do that as a leader of this team after a loss like that yeah um being a leader I you got to show that you moved on before uh everyone else does so um I mean the lost things for sure uh we know we was right there so we know we have a even bigger opponent next week so you know just's there's so much uh time you could really spend on the loss time to move on to the next and let's get better throughout the week guys lost little yeah just um I think critical moments uh we just didn't connect or I made a read that uh could have went the other way so just I think we became less efficient maybe you could say but uh we just got to make the bigger plays when the bigger moments are there there is a lot of known about this team from like people outside the building so for someone who's been here every day working how much said what was on the field look like what you guys have been you know striving for every day in training camp yeah um especially that first half uh being comfortable uh everyone there uh no one had too much Jitters uh we stayed at the same level didn't get too high didn't get tooo low uh we know what we're capable of so I love the way we came out and we just got to carry that on throughout the whole entire game can you describe a specific point in the game where you felt like you were really getting into Rhythm or it felt really good yeah um uh defense defense um when they when they're scoring on their side they're helping us out so uh when the defense is helping you score points uh it makes your offense want to score better and when you hear our whole offense is ready to score we're like hey let's stop letting the defense score everything let's let's start getting it on our own so yeah we got in a big Groove during the game so like somebody mentioned before you only had eight passing attempts in the second half and two of those were in the final to uh H Marys is that frustrating for you as a quarterback knowing like did you have any like word in it saying hey I know I can throw this ball but just didn't you know didn't let you or yeah um I have full belief in my coaches uh our coaches have been uh practicing been watching this practice so you know at the end of the day what what they believe is best for team I'm going to do what they believe is best so uh it's just the way we wi and I think that was the right call we just got to execute you last yearing out sometimes you feel like last yeah this is a totally new team I I I see nothing uh nothing the same about our last team to this team uh this team has been through a lot together so um yeah again it's I obviously it's disappointing that we didn't finish the way we know we're capable of but I know for sure we're definitely going to get it coming soon this offensive scheme is completely different than last year and it's obvious I mean you you had a great game you guys lost the game and how do you you I you show leadership how do you carry that into next week yeah uh this this game isn't just about the quarterback so you know I need my receivers I need my linemen I need my running backs uh to win games so uh just when times get tough just push my guys let them know that you know when they see me uh playing great in critical moments I want them to believe in themselves just as much as I'm believing myself so uh again it's just a leadership thing a bond just trust make sure everyone knows that uh we're in this together can you talk about that touchdown R I can't talk I'm sorry I can never talk the the fake play in the run that you had you just talk walk us through that yeah um we that that was one of the runs where we had a great thing going with our offense and um yeah we were pushing the ball very well and eventually the defense just kind of forgot I was a player at the moment so take advantage of that dein it was a tail of two halves his offense looked very comfortable in the first half you guys were shut out in the second half what do you think was the difference um yeah again the critical moments I think we converted a lot of uh third Downs I think we were very efficient and you know just coming coming out the second half I thought a lot of first second downs we might have wasted a play and then third downs we just we didn't make the plays that we needed to make uh to keep the ball moving so just something we got to work on yeah uh that's just another belief thing that I was talking about just uh again when when the times are tough and you know your name get called out um believe in yourself before anything so just something that uh something that we need to click uh in our minds
