I THINK IT IS A BIT DISAPPOINTING BECAUSE THEY WILL MISS THEIR FAMILIES, BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT COMING BACK IN THE SPACESHIP THEY WANTED TO DO. BUT I THINK THEY UNDERSTAND THIS IS THE RIGHT DECISION AND THE SAFETY FACTOR WON OUT HERE. >> I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT THE MENTAL CHALLENGE OF THINKING YOU ARE GOING OUT FOR ONE TIME AND DOING THIS EXTENDED PERIOD. TELL US WHY THE ASTRONAUTS ARE SO WELL EQUIPPED WITH THIS. SONNY IS SOMEONE YOU WOULD WANT TO BE STUCK IN SPACE WITH. >> BOTH OF THEM ARE GREAT PEOPLE. THEY JOINED NASA, WELL, THEY WERE SELECTED A COUPLE YEARS AFTER I WAS, SO I GOT TO WORK WITH THEM FOR MANY YEARS. THEY'RE BOTH WELL-QUALIFIED. THEY PICKED THE RIGHT PICK FOR THIS MISSION. SONNY SPENT A LOT OF TIME AT THE SPACE STATION, SO HAS BUTCH. SO THEY'RE DOING THEIR ACTIVITIES THE LAST COUPLE MONTHS. THEY WILL CONTINUE TO DO THIS WITH THE NEW CREW ONCE THEY GET JOINED BY THEM. BUT IT IS MORE THEIR ATTITUDE. YOU HAVE CHALLENGES. YOU HAVE TO BE RESILIENT. YOU HAVE TO BE FLEXIBLE. AND THAT REALLY DESCRIBES THEM. THEY'RE REALLY DEDICATED TO THEIR JOBS. SO THEY WERE CHOSEN FOR THIS MISSION FOR A REASON AND NOW WE'RE SEEING PART OF THE REASON WHY. >> ROLE MODELS, AREN'T THEY? >> I SAID IT EARLIER. BUT NOW WE KNOW FOR SURE.
