Toby Keith's Daughter Just Made Him SO PROUD!

What is Krystal Keith up to? She's so busy with those kids they are constantly  doing something and when they're asleep they sleep   on top of her they just it's like puppies around  them uh a dog they just they just uh worship her   and they're so busy together she keeps them so  busy but she I heard her saying at an event um   she still got the pipe she can go and she can  write on Wednesday August 28th Toby Keith's   daughter would come out of retirement to honor  her father and it was a performance that brought   the audience to tears Crystal stood in front of  a packed Bridgestone Arena in Asheville Tennessee   Toby Keith’s daughter sings “Don’t Let the Old Man In” Performing her father's don't let the old man in  part of the Toby Keith American eye contribute it   wasn't necessarily a decision that was easy for  Crystal telling the Oklahoma quote I went to our   team and I said listen my heart is pulling me to  be part of this as hard as I think that's going to   be I don't even know that I can make it through it  but if all of these artists are coming to celebr   at him and perform his songs and sing I feel  like it would be almost disrespectful for me   not to participate in that so I think I  need to sing if there's a space for me   and obviously they were like of course  you can absolutely sing we would love [Music] that this moment doesn't necessarily  itched a performing bug up for Crystal songwriting   Is she back? never goes anywhere for me I write all the time  um I have songs I can cut at some point I might   get back into it um I don't know that I'll ever  tour to the level that I did um just cuz I've   got kids and I don't I don't want them to miss  out on I don't want to miss out on them they   wouldn't care to miss out on me you know probably  in their teen years but uh really I mean I that's   that's an open-ended open-ended thing for me  right now still a very similar sentiment to   what her father told us at the top of this video  it was one of his last interviews he did before   he passed one of the only moments we have that  the two on stage together was back in 2004 when   at the time the 19-year-old would join her dad on  stage at the CMA Awards to perform mocking [Music] bird and a bitter sweet way Toby was there  with his daughter as she sang his song I knew all that Som it would get up go [Music] outside don't let the old  man in as she beautifully sang the lyrics photos   of the pair throughout the years displayed  on the screen above her I was personally   there to witness this deeply intimate moment  I know I had chills and when I watched Toby's   whole family you could tell this moment hit deep  it's been a few months since their father died   Toby Keith’s family speaks! on February 5th of stomach cancer something  he'd been battling for a couple of years and   so many ways each new turn feels like he passed  just yesterday for them I mean honestly we're   trying to do what he would want us to do he would  not want us to sit at home and cry he would want   us to live life and he would want us to continue  his legacies and and continue the work he did with   the foundation so that's the role that we have  as his children and the duty that he gave us   and so I think we're just trying to move forward  doing that as as best we can that's Toby's three   children stellen Shelly and Crystal I've dropped  the full interview in the description section of   our interview with with them on the red carpet  it's deeply moving and I recommend giving it a   look one thing we can confidently say is Toby  persevering up till the very end was inspiring   everything's trending really well right now  and I'm not going to let this you know Define   my rest of my life and if I live to be 100 or or  I don't I'm going I'm going to go for Toby Keith   American Icon airs at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday August  28th on NBC the program features performances with   Eric Church Carrie Underwood Trace Atkins all  covering some of the Country Legends Greatest   Hits I'm Addison haer leaving you with a little  bit more of Crystal's performance y'all thanks for watching let
