about you as a Boston guy you're wearing a freaking Jason Jason Tatum Jersey tonight this is the house that JT and JB built coming back to Boston I'm still I'm still on Cloud9 and there was an extensive list of people that I decided to invite to the show quite some time and I had to remove one person from that list uh oh uh oh Stefan you can hear him upet for a second Steve Kerr you're not allowed in this house wait hold on you you going to tell the rest of the story like the what what who you bumped into earlier today I may or Tatum on the way to this lovely facility earlier today called me and he was like hey Daniel what hotel are we staying at and I'm like uh this hotel over here he like hold on just a second I'm going to say hi to Jason Tatum I was like did you just call me to Humble brag that you're just GNA say hi to Jason Tatum it was actually kind of a jerk Moment by me I really didn't need the information that Daniel was going to provide I had plugged in I just had plugged in the the the address to banners uh to get up here today forgetting that I had to park somewhere uh besides here um and yeah so Jason Tatum I I I can confidently report that he is still and then NBA champion thank you very much thank you very did he did he recognize you I I want to know if he knew if it was he knew field8 right of course not wow like that's embarrassing I was gonna say pic or it didn't happen exactly exactly to find I I showed respect I I I show some restraint as well hey speaking of showing some respect stf you were actually born in this beautiful city Boston I was born in Boston baby so this is a true homecoming for me absolutely love being able to be here guys we have a huge show set up today we're going to talk about some guys that potentially have some breakout Seasons Mike has a Patriots puzzle on tap for us and we're going to talk about some of our favorite players to draft in the AFC East let's go so without further Ado let's get things started with our first segment called banner year get it you get it it's after banners thank you shout out to banners for hosting this wonderful live show please again give it up to them let's start here in New England field I'm going to start with you here is the question we're talking about guys potentially going to have Banner seasons is there a chance Ezekiel Elliot's out of town the team is looking for Playmakers can all of a sudden kind of had this fantasy revitalization it was really fun to see I think it settles in somewhere in the middle R Andre Stevenson Al lowen rb2 this year when you factor in this Patriots team I think and we'll find out in a few weeks more certain um are you couching your Patriots talk well I just you know listen let's you know I was thinking about this I grew up in this in this area I've I've been witnessed to nine separate trips to the Super Bowl since I I it's ridiculous right like bu me a river I know so hold on a this is the setup this is the setup though right is that you have that run of 20 incredible years you got to be able to handle what could be onta this season for the Patriot this might be a long year this could be a year in which they're playing from behind a lot this might be a p heavier offense than you currently forecast because they might be down uh so rander Stevenson will be a factor in the passing game this new outside Zone running scheme will fit him well I think he will be a a low-end rb2 who I think has a fairly narrow range of outcomes I don't see a tops 10 season for ra Andre I don't see him busting as well all right Mike do you disagree with any of the things as our projection I don't I just wanted to point out like if you if you just look here like is as the generic show note generic show note generic show note generic someone came prepared I got I got it was the first time for everything huh wait wait with he does the pro it's all right I didn't have to ask I just came prepared that's all some of us don't need notes because you have rre Stevenson projected for 45 grabs and I actually think you could beat that with 50 even with Antonio GI added Mike drop Ford BET BET right now do it first for live for B clay has I love this how about you kick it off do you know how let's get it started we you said what what are you say 50 50 I'll say and I have 45 yeah I didn't even know that you guys are going to have to help me you guys are going to be the drop that we hit after they do it okay so you're going have to repeat it with me all right okay I say ra Andre Stevenson has under 47 and a half receptions this season and I say rre stev son has over 47 and a half receptions put it on the board put it on the board way to go guys I say I have over three and a half beers after the show I record yeah all right let me with a good time let's talk about another player here George Pickins Liz Loa I'll tell you what we is your guy we saw George Pickins have some unbelievable games last season obviously we're trying to figure out the quarterback situation for Pittsburgh but the talent is unquestioned when you look at George Pickins do you think this is a chance to have a banner year or is Arthur Smith goingon to Rob us of that once again I mean I depends how you define banner year I believe he had around just over 900 receiving yards last year Mike is that right over a thousand last year for 1,100 1,147 yards okay so I feel like he can probably improve on that the thing that I am the most um I am excited to see him finally emerge as the ex which he did last year I would like to see him refine his skill set a little bit more and I think that the upgrading quarterback whether it is Russell Wilson or Justin Fields will hopefully improve the efficiency and therefore kind of wash away the Arthur Smith of everything I mean that makes a lot of sense I hear what you're saying there I want to also speak that into existence because George Pickins is too good to get lost in this offense the same way that we lost Drake London and Kyle pittz for the last two years so I'm hoping that we can have this breakout because I love George picky someone that I have been in on as like a wide receiver three for my team but Daniel we did lose Drake London in the Arthur Smith offense we did lose him so are we going to lose George Pickins I'm a little worried about it I mean Drake London as good as he was outside the top 30 in fantasy points both seasons so I'm nervous about it do you think there's a chance that when Mike Tomlin brought him in he was like you guys you're not going to do that again though right like you're not we all saw what happen in Atlanta let's be a little you know what Arthur Smith said I need a quarterback cuz do you see what I was dealing with down there guys well I'm not sure that's been fixed I don't know I don't want to talk about it all right let's talk about another wide receiver then Stefan Bell yeah Marvin Harrison Jr oh yeah heard of him I mean this guy came in as one of the most highly touted rookie wide receivers in the last decade at least is there a chance that this can be a banner year for Marvin Harrison Jr absolutely I mean Mike Clay says that you cannot have a stellar year as a rookie wide receiver but he's that's not true mostly I didn't say that yeah you did no I didn't I heard no rookie wide receivers are too old I I didn't old players can't have good fantasies okay well here's the thing Marvin Harrison Jr we know has great genetics right so he he is we've seen him produce at the college level but everybody wonders usually it takes a second year before a wide receiver really shows his stuff in the NFL but think about how Marvin Harrison Jr was thinking when it came to the combat he was so focused on preparing for the season and making sure that he wasn't training for combine performance that he sat everything out he's like I'm on a schedule and it's not going to happen until I get to the NFL and that is a guy who is planning to produce as a rookie he's also got a quarterback who's fully healthy back from that torn ACL I love that Kyler Murray got back in the field and we saw that he what he could do they are going to connect and who else is really going to be a threat to take catches away other than maybe Trey McBride but Marvin Harrison Jr is a playmaker he's gonna be the number one target I think he's going to have a breakout season I'll just add that a rookie wide receiver has finished top 10 in fantasy points three of the past five seasons just evidence that rookie wide receivers can perform at a high level in fantasy football love that all right all right so then we're in on Marvin Harrison JR this year field and you've talked about this a bunch I mean this is one of those guys that in spite of the fact that he's a rookie there's no like trepidation in taking him as is one of your top wide receivers I think that's one of the worst traps you can fall into when you say well I haven't seen the guy do it before we have so many examples right saquin Barkley finishing his rb1 his rookie season last year puka AA a fifth round pick finishing his wide receiver six there's so many good examples of getting caught up in the idea that a guy hasn't done it yet and you end up losing your league so no concerns whatsoever about Marvin Harrison Jr making his way into the NFL and being the player he was in college football I don't know if there are any Buckey fans in here uh if there are and there are Kyle McCord fans in here Guy Jackson somewhere Syracuse fans wasn't a great year last year right wasn't a great year for Kyle and Marvin Harrison still had 14 receiving touchdowns he is we've been talking a lot recently on the show about how Justin Jefferson is kind of quarterback proof at the NFL level Marvin Harrison Jr was just like that at the college level it certainly helped when you play with CJ strad a couple seasons ago but last year bad quarterback situation he still had a mammoth season yeah he should be fantastic again this year all right I mentioned it earlier when I was talking about George Pickins Mike but I have been waiting for Drake London to finally reach his potential in this Falcons offense now hopefully with Kurt Cousins under Center unless Stefania tells us there's reason to be worried about it do you think that this can to be a banner year for Drake London do we get like paid extra if we say Banner like is that a thing I just want to say it every single time because I just want to shout out how freaking beautiful this place is like look how awesome banners is are you kidding me uh Mike gets an extra glass of as he called it Savi B every time we mention banners thing okay I eat dinner I eat dinner at like 5 5:30 and we're eating dinner after this so I'm I'm a little hangry right so I I'm just going to be honest with you that's why I'm I might get a little have a Savi B ready for him yeah that's right or look at that Kelly Green in the building right now let's go Birds Go birds all right so um I have stats I have stats here on Drake London outside the top 20 and targets catches yards and touchdowns each of his first two seasons we just talked talked about the other side of Arthur Smith this is the old side of Arthur Smith but now Zack Robins since running this offense much better quarterback situation uh with her cousin so just forget everything you knew about that old Falcons offense it's over it's going to be the a complete other side of the spectrum this season I'm pumped up for everybody in Atlanta I kind of feel like Daniel can relate to Drake London in this regard first of all both incredibly athletic obviously second of all this you know like when when Daniel has to do a show with just Mike and I it probably feels like playing in an Arthur Smith offense and then on days when stfa or Liz are in the building it's like playing with Kirk Cousins exactly what it's like yes okay so you can relate and so you guys have so many other things in common that it's only fitting we make that analogy for what it's worth you're Drake London and and Mike is Kyle pittz so like he's definitely the lower end of the two uh players that I mean I agree that Field's terrible so just to bear so so who am I be yeah you're be no Stefan to pick up the P piing up the Stan is there any reason to be worried about Kur cousin cousins coming back to be able to help lift these fantasy values I don't think so like you know as far as the recovery timeline he's fine he's obviously doing everything he needs to do he was never going to be Anthony Richardson running the ball anyway you know so Kurt Cousins is who he is and I think he can be exactly that also I don't know I I'm not sure this may have gone under the radar I don't think he got that much press but the Falcons drafted a quarterback eighth overall this year exactly my point they did so even if Kurt Cousins isn't ready in some unlikely scenario they they actually drafted a quarterback eighth overall after spending a 100 million guaranteed on another quarterback that's interesting strong armed rookie yeah who yes could benefit from a catch Target Michael P J is old according to Mike like he's legitimately old how old is he 24 years old right he is old for a rookie quarterback Mike would be the most hilarious bouncer ever like some will be like showing up like 23 and like old enough to get in here but like dude think about it like you're Prime behind you that's right I see no I I see no problems with that at all that's just the truth all right we got one more player field G8 you obviously dove in to a ton of draft stuff this year taking over the role as a draft analyst by the way you crushed it on first draft doing so many things with Mel doing the NFL draft I think you were amazing and one of the things I want to ask you that's right this is my this is my crew right here I like a little bit of love little field J's love we got a yaters going to yat shirt here as well in the first which is always fantastic time visitor to Boston show all right calm down calm down so let me ask you this Brock Bowers man we were so pumped to have him in the NFL fell and then he went to the Raiders all right so we are yeah I know that's the thing is that like we are currently sitting or we are like probably at top North Station right now imagine there were like two trains leaving North Station at this very moment one is the train that's like this guy who's this unbelievable talent that tight end a spot that we are desperate for good players to arrive at for Fantasy purposes every year it seems like he should be a star because he's Brock Bowers and he was awesome during his college career the other train is what Daniel just said is that like it's the most unserious quarterback situation in the NFL right now and he still has competition a lot of it in the form of Devonte Adams and jacobe Myers so I think this is the case with the Raiders three of them hitting their Peak outcomes as pass catchers not in the carts if you have a lot of confidence in like if you are using a draft pick early on Devonte Adams and then you end up using a reasonable Draft pick on Brock Bowers and you take a late flyer on jacobe Meers something's going to end up not working out in your favor there so um it's such a desperate position even with the added depth this year that relative to the other guys who are being drafted outside the top 12 of tight ends I think Brock Brock Bowers has plenty of upside because he is so talented but man doesn't make me nervous thinking about like the week one box score when it's like the Raiders who maybe play competitively because they are good on defense lose a 13-10 game and aen oconnell goes eight for 21 with 79 passing yards W imagine thinking Gardner mchu is not starting imagine thinking that I iag on gner mu gner mchu needs to start Gardner M would love here by the way he would be in his element here he is one of us he is a YOLO quarterback we need Gardner muu under Center but the Vibes right now kind of make me feel like it's like 5149 in the favor of Aiden oconnell o I don't like that Liz how you feeling about this because this is one of those situations where tight end is such a deep position this year and we talk often about being able to wait because you can get so much value by the time you get to Brock Bowers have you waited too long to grabb your tight end one well I mean if you're looking for a higher floor I think Ferguson is the better bet but if you looking at a player who could potentially have a banner year right that Brock Bow's upside is significantly higher I do think that within the range of probable less than possible outcomes is that Bowers delivers a year similarly to what we saw out of Dalton concade last year right maybe there is a portion of the Season where an injury happens or there is I don't know this is the there are maybe some um changes around some retooling of the front office of the coaching staff and so um then now we have an opportunity to see him elevated down the back half of the Season all right so then here's my question Mike I just gave you five different people R Andre Stevenson George Pickins Marvin Harrison Jr Drake London Brock Bowers which one of them do you have projected to have the best season in 2024 if you're picking one of these guys to have the biggest breakout year yeah I think it's uh Marvin I have one spot ahead of Drake London in my ranking so I like both of those guys I mean like rre I'm not as in on Bowers or Pickin uh so yeah I'm going to go I'm going to go I know Field's a little higher on him but I'm GNA go Marvin Harrison he's I tell you what you're getting wiser with your older age I mean really old age to be clear for what it's worth very old I mean I could still be I could still be like a kicker maybe I'm 39 I can make it as a kicker I don't know if you could make it might to be I mean that's my only chance your your May birthday right you and stf your one day apart is that correct yeah we are I need everybody that has a phone right now to make a mental note May 15th 16th 21 21 okay May 21 set an alarm set an alert maybe 8: a.m. eastern time 9:00 a.m. eastern time on May 21st 2025 and then when that alert hits I need you to send a tweet to at M clay NFL with the Mike Gundy GIF when he announces he's a man I'm 40 40 that that's going to be all next year it's be so much fun is that too much to ask I don't think it is I love that I'm ready ready I'm getting I'll set my alert right now all right so you're taking Marvin Harrison Jr Stefan you also said Marvin Harrison Jr Liz yep I mean I feel like that is probably the best bet of these but also is that that exciting when we have him ranked inside the top 13 I didn't ask you it was exciting I just asked you which one was going to be sure but it wouldn't we rather we're all expecting it right but how gratifying would it be if Drake London was that guy instead right and we are into feels because it is uh it is August so let's feel good about it and say Drake London instead of saying the safe option Marvin Harris thought process by Liz right there but the answer we're getting into the feelings right now is R Andre Stevenson raand better year for raand that's right let's try to make it happen all right listen we're going to watch this game this Patriots Eagles game in a little bit ra Andre might run for 250 tonight if we're lucky if we're lucky went regard to watch the right here we go so we're rolling through here we're on question nine get two more this wide receiver averaged 21.9 yards per catch last season which was highest among all receivers who went on to be drafted Javon Baker the answer is Javon Baker fourth round pick for the Patriots he's on it he he's on it he's he's in the zone that was a dra he was I know that was that was a draft one you know Big 12 leer I mean you really had two guesses though right it was pker or it was Baker the Patriots took two receivers it was of course like if I picked like a fort like Jacob cowing or something you'd be Bills Dolphins Patriots and Jets it's easy to just say I want to draft Josh Allen if I'm looking at the bills so I want to ask you field kind of based on cost ADP where you're getting them in the draft do you have a favorite Buffalo Bill you're trying to grab and draft this year no bills I will be drafting no Buffalo Bills no Buffalo Bills are you playing to the crowd here I'm stay with the people I will not be drafting any bills um if I have to answer the answerers K Shakir KH Shakir K Shakir number one wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills this year write that one down Daniel's going to have that tattooed by the end of the year you know what see skeptical eyes and I love it all right Liz you want that bandwagon um I do love it can I say my Pi you can say whoever you want I knew that field was going to go one of two ways and I was going to go the other so if you're going to say khil Shakir who I love I will also then say Dalton can okay there you go totally 240 targets vacated we know the stat by now I do think that while Kalo Shakir could be the team's leading wide receiver Dalton concade will lead the team overall all of the pass catchers in Opportunities I co-sign literally everything that Liz just said so rather than take up more time now you're pandering I'm going to pass it on over to Stefan Bell because I'm going with dton concade which way you going with dton K that was going to be my answer it's okay for us to agree we we all have to pick different Mike what it take second round receiver Keon Coleman for sure that's what I want I want Keon Coleman I know he's super young but Josh Allen offense or going to throw the ball plenty enough a little above average and most Raw Talent at wide receiver so I expect him to be busy right away do you think that there's anything to Liz mentioned it 240 targets have left this offense in Stefan Diggs and Gabe Davis does that impact Josh Allen at all or does he do enough with his legs that his fantasy value is going to continue to be what it is exactly he'll run so much he'll be fine um I mean we have seen offenses when some of the skill guys are hurt really fall off Kansas City being an example of that last year their passing efficiency during the season was not very good big they just plummeted in just terms of EPA you name it any any sort of stat they plummeted so maybe we see some of that uh in Buffalo but we've seen it before we've seen Josh Allen have poor yards per attempt numbers whatever it is and he's still been a superstar in fantasy because he runs the ball so well he had we talked about this in the Pod he had as many rushing touchdowns last year as Jaylen Herz it hurs hurts at 15 yeah they both had 15 last year so it'll be fun there's going to be regression there for both those quarterbacks I want to ask you which one of them is going to lead quarterbacks in rushing touchdowns this year Herz or Jaylen Herz J okay well did you say that because you're an eagles AFC East and he like manages to find a way to get his Eagles in there anyway I'm honestly surprised you didn't jump in with Anthony Richardson as the answer but he's definitely a candidate I am Richardson apologist all right what about the Dolphins if I have to pick one dolphin at cost like it's easy to say Tyreek Hill but I actually really like Jaylen watad as somebody that I can grab as my wide receiver too if anything were to happen in that offense Jaylen W's value would absolutely jump up and I think that this is a guy that still has a lot to be able to unlock TOA led the NFL in passing yards last year so I think that there's more to wd's game give me him as the guy that I want in drafts this year field which direction you going what you call two of the shorter leer the shorter just as slow left-handed version of Jared Goff yes that is what Tua is I be drafting no Dolphins no dolphins for me no Dolphins no Dolphins um it's a nice call on Jaylen wad but the real answer is actually Raheem moer which there's no way he comes anywhere close to what he did last year Mike I know Mike doesn't acknowled he's way too old um but uh he's going like 31st amongst backs right now like if if he has half the season he did last year which would still be a great year it'll more than pay off if he has like 40% of the Season he had last year it's still a good value where he MERS my pick all right all right Liz which direction you going to go for the Dolphins I'm very intrigued by Jaylen Wright yes I think that he is it good answer call I think over you know why you know why cuz Jaylen Wright's Young and also discrimination this is a Back Field that can easily break down that has shown despite the wild efficiency and the like unable to maintain efficiency um there's a lot of durability concerns and right I think he went 120 overall in the draft um fourth round fourth round that sounds right and I think there's a lot of potential there especially for people who are employing maybe a zero RB um method to their drafting love that I also love that you specifically said10 round and Mike was like or yeah and he was like I don't know fourth round he was like a fourth rounder so that's all matter excited that we agree yeah stepania which Dolphins player do you want this year uh give me Devon a chain okay and I know everybody you know uh everybody's concerned about the workload sharing and I think honestly just being down in Miami talking talk to all the running backs talk to the running backs coach uh they really don't have a formula there's not like this guy's going to get this much work and this guy's going to get this much work I think they will balance it out depending depending on how they see the matchups how they see the workflow going uh he's made a lot of progress in terms of how he's looking at the game from last year to this year he's got electric speed we've seen that on display before and I know he got hurt last year but every running back gets hurt in the NFL like you know this just in everybody gets hurt and he only missed a few games and he also ultimately came back to look like the guy that he was at the start he can break a big play at any point you saw that the first three games he basically got full time in the game he had over a 100 yards on the ground just right out of the gate so uh give me Devon aain because of his potential to produce a big play all right it's tough to argue with that given what he can do on any given week Mike I want to ask you why are you picking Janu Smith as your favorite dolphin this year I'm not uh I'm not going to pick he did in place of Kyle Pitts last year on the Falcons that's what it is yes that uh do you know do you guys remember this from earlier in the offseason uh Odell Beckham ass signed with the dolphins text of all time just before that Thursday night football game against the Jaguars and then ran for like 270 yards every Sunday the two of them Instagram DM and D Henry just sends the nastiest things to Mike ever and it's worked like s years later is one of the greatest fantasy running backs of all time I mean that's not true but like uh but stuff like that does happen I don't know why the Venom always goes to him yeah well I don't know uh Rashad white came after me last year this year uh the Patriots receivers were mad because I the room ranked 32nd because they're young and unproven but I like them as sleepers I like pop Douglas I like Jaylen Jaylen pulk so uh super talented second round pick and one of your I actually texted you you were at the draft uh because he went in the second round and like most big boards had him going later but you were on him you love Jaylen pul so I'll let you take it the guy the captain the guy's team yeah so we tried to you know obviously during the draft everybody talks about the players at the very top of the board a lot of talk about Caleb Williams Jaden Daniels Drake may but Mel hyper and I always did we like like to identify players we called our guys you know really thoughtful creative uh concept we came up with there but basically it was players that aren't obvious Superstars at the top of the draft that we would plant our flag on like regardless of where this player ends up I don't care how high or how low he goes I have confidence in this player and his future and the captain of that team for me was Jaylen PK it was a deep wide receiver class of course he's not going to blow you away with this 44 speed or this massive size but you guys have already seen it little bit in training camp just mark my words here he will have a long and successful career in the NFL Patriots got a really good value there and I think 36 37 for Jaylen pulk which is why he's my pick for the value this year I think he will start playing like I just think he will have a meaningful role from the minute this season begins I'd love to see him and Drake may play a lot together this season even if it should be peret for half the year I think jayen pul will end up being a dude for the Patriots sooner than later okay I love that by the way you know field does the work because you're totally right that pulk does not have these exciting measurables there's nothing that forgive me now Pops in his profile but you did the work and you watched the tape and so I think that that's even more um credit to both you and his skill set thanks somebody to show up prepared makes me uncomfortable when people say such nice things I'm used to having mic around just setting you up to knock you down later don't worry all right so then which direction are you going Liz Loza I really like de Mario Douglas right I don't want to say pop again but um I just think he has this slot roll on Lock and that is probably beneficial when you are on a team with a rookie quarterback and likely moving from behind quite often so friendly formats I like him think numbers all right I'm gonna go with rre Stevenson just as somebody that you can grab as an rb2 I realize he may not be as sexy as some of the other running backs there but you get to a spot shortly after Andre Stevenson where it feels like there's a fall off with those running backs so if I can grab him as an rb2 I'm all right with that stefia which direction you going to go there's only one person up here who drafted Jaylen pul in her Dynasty league and that was you that was you these guys say they love him but I actually committed all right so so Jaylen pul that's yeah all right we have like a minute and a half for this last one which is great because this team sucks anyways field what about the Jets I'm not an team oh except for that guy sorry Jets fan there we go represent there are two guys that I'm drafting for the Jets that's here it's either Bree hall or Garrett Wilson which one do you like more you know what I'm going throw a little curveball here and I want to see Mike fall off of his chair this time without somebody pushing him up Mal Corley reference no sleeper Allan Lazard stop it sleeper get out oh not sleepers though I mean prol is going third right like you know so Alan Lazard Aaron Rogers best friend just telling you the summer of Lazard is upon us he wasn't even good the year he was the Packer's number one receiver because they had no other players now they've gett Wilson and Bree Hall and Tyler Conlin and Mike Williams and Malachi Corley I'm just just you know just write this one down on your old friend field at the end of the season all do not draft Alan Lazard I'm GNA I'm gonna say Bree Hall who do you have I'm GNA say Bree Hall who by the way was so productive last year despite facing a stacked front nearly 20% in nearly 20% of his care that's a lot that's a lot Stefan who you going with uh I love Bree Hall um but I'm going to go with join the club I'm gonna go with G Wilson and part of it is because look how productive he was last year and Aaron Rogers was gone after four snaps so think of what's going to happen this year I was at Jets camp earlier this week and I saw him make a spectacular catch toe tap and I was like this is a sign of things to come those two are chatting after every single play they make in practice they are so dialed in on one another I think he's going to have a huge you didn't get too close to them right no but I did talk to M Williams sat down with him there you go thank you the curse of Stef B I just
