listen to how Mike McDonald talked about third down defense I don't know what the actual numbers were I think they're like 30 something per but you don't count penalties and then I think there's another stat like you know they converted like four seven third and 10 pluses which is like a huge no no we looked at our execution in those situations you know you can't be getting man penalties on Third and long in The Fringe area you know there's there's a lot of room for growth on defense I thought we took a step back this week it feels like he's just a little bit more blunt in terms of oh their areas for improvement he's like yeah we uh we sucked on Third and today he wants to tell you something he's going to tell you like flat out and this is an example of that for me it is comforting whether it's realistic or not or like reasonable or not to know that the head coach is seeing the same flaws and and acknowledging those same flaws because then it if you don't acknowledge what the flaws are and you don't like name them your chances of actually doing something about them I feel like get less
