I'd Love A DVD

[Music] hello fellow Fellers welcome back to Fan scene Greg here and today after you I'd love a DVD what does that mean well recently I came across this little funny thing from Aubrey Plaza uh shout out to her U that I thought was pretty funny and I thought I'd do a little video about it and talking about it so what does it mean I'd love a DVD this is from variety it says Aubrey Plaza never watched White Lotus because I had trouble opening my Max account and couldn't figure out the password I'd love a DVD physical media is always going to be superior folks always it's the best I love this I love this story I just I find it funny and I love it I felt like I really wanted to do this video for you guys and it says Aubrey Plaza earned critical Acclaim and an Emmy nomination for her performance as Harper on the White Lotus season 2 not that she ever watched a single episode in a video interview for the Wall Street Journal magazine the comedian admitted that she's still never seen her season of Mike White's beloved HBO Anthology series because she can't log into to her Max account I love it it's such an April lgate thing to do as well if you guys ever seen that show also uh I've never seen the White Lotus one or two I've never even heard of the White Lotus I don't you know if anybody ever watched my channel I don't really do streaming not a big fan of streaming and I would love it a Blu-ray or a 4K person but see this is what I talk about when she said which we're going to get about to get into well I'll when we get into it I'll let you know it says I still haven't but I'm going to Plaza said to be honest I had trouble opening my HBO Max account when I was trying to watch it originally I couldn't figure out the password and I usually just give up when I can't figure out the passwords I just can't handle things like that I'd love a DVD but they don't send DVD sets anymore Plaza at it I ask them every time and that is disheartening because like I said what I was about to say is that most people even like celebrities it's still a DVD to them a Blu-ray 4K that's still a DVD that's the word they use that's what they grew up on that's what most people buy that aren't physical media collectors me as a physical media collector I buy Blu-rays I buy 4ks I buy VHS I buy DVDs you know I buy all that but for the masses and people who still sort of do want a physical copy it's a DVD and will always be a DVD and it is disheartening to hear that these Studios don't even send out I mean now for those you don't know this was a big common practice back in the day when people did a TV show Once the DVD uh came along and did like a TV shows or movies or stuff they would send them like a DVD copy or something you know because uh that's how they would get it out there they send him a DVD copy Matt Davon talked about everything and they would send him a DVD copy of their movie or TV show so they can watch it and go through it for those that wanted to watch it and it was a good time and this is why I still think the DVD format I know some people don't like the DVD format but this is why I think the DVD format is still important because it still help helps people bring them into physical media it's helping keeping physical media alive so people like myself will still buy the Blu-rays and the 4ks and stuff like that so we can help get that growing this is why physical media is important and if a celebrity if you want to call them a celebrity whatnot uh can't even get their show on physical media a DVD that is absolutely insane insane especially show that's been imy nominated that I mean not that Awards matter anymore because Awards really don't they're just they're just pointless they're not even really giving them people that deserve an award for acting but uh we're going to close it out with this part right here we're going to go where she says Plaza has long been outspoken about her annoyances with streaming platforms who else has been uh you know outspoken about their annoyances for streaming platforms me because I hate the big streamers I hate Netflix I hate uh Disney plus I hate Hulu I hate them I have nothing really against like tuby other than when they edited films or like the lower like full moon or anything like that I have nothing against streaming in that regard and my my issues have never been with them like I feel like I say this every video it's never been with them streaming movies and entertainment directly into your home because that is a convenience for so many people my my uh annoyances with streaming services especially the big ones like HBO and uh Netflix and Hulu and Disney is just a pure corporate greed how they've turned entertainment into content they will remove movies they will edit movies they refuse to give you a DVD Blu-ray because they're missing out on a huge Market of people who still do want Blu Blu-rays and DVDs and much like Aubrey Plaza who is a celebrity who still want DVDs and Blu-rays of what they see they're missing out on a whole another thing it's like we talked about because when movies come out they come out in theaters they would have like a six month or a year and then you'd wait and the the home video release would come out and you would you know make money off of that and and like there was so many like the home video markets like we talked about full moon who who absolutely killed it on the video Market Home Video Market by releasing straight to movie video movies and stuff that really helped Foster a form of entertainment for just about everybody you know not everything was good not everything's good good now you know but there was something different something special about it and there was money being made and now seems like they've cut off so much money yes physical media sales have fallen but the physical media sales have leveled off to where people who are buying physical media are buying physical media if you're buying physical media you're buying it's not going anywhere it's not going anywhere it's just that these Studios and these streamers the bigger ones really want to try to force it out of the way because they've lost so much money and they're determined to make it so much successful it sound like it's successful that they're just like burning everything and and and they don't understand what they're doing and they're still trying to figure this out and it's costing them millions of dollars day when it's really truly simple you know give people entertainment they want to see give if you want to do the streaming do the streaming and Co coincide it with the theaters and with physical media releases give your people that's working for you a DVD release for peace sakes goodness gracious and it continues by saying I was trying to watch Top Chef season 20 couldn't figure out how the effing get Hulu Plus live look there you go I give up I can't I just can't Plaza said at the time and so what I I like to do is go on iTunes and buy movies that are old uh Aubrey please don't buy digital I know you just said you will never earn digital and I know you're a celebrity you got the money you can burn it that's fine but do never buy digital all right because you will never own digital ever it's okay if you want to rent a digital movie or here if you got the money to do that's fine but never buy digital you will never ever own digital or I'll go on iTunes and just like buy the whole soprano series and then my husband will be like you literally can watch that for free on HBO Max uh technically no you can't watch that for free because you got to pay for HBO Max and then also pay for commercials it's just it's just ridiculous but I thought this was kind of funny that Aubrey Plaza which it really feels like an Aubrey Plaza April lgate type thing to do she's just like ah I forgot my password I want a DVD you know and she's even asking the studios to send her a DVD and they won't because they don't do that anymore which is ridiculous absolutely ridiculous uh but I just thought was funny and I wanted to do a video on it for you guys what are you guys thoughts on this do you think it's ridiculous that she can't even give a DVD of that do you have problem look I the password thing is for some people for most people it's it's easy you know once you log in and keep the password in sometimes you have to rep put it back in if you remember it but do you guys have problems with that those who do streaming who watch my channel do you guys forget your passwords at time and just like give up do you guys thought think this funny what do you guys think about physical media in general or streaming in general let me know all that in the comments section down below if you
