first one um is a guy a lot of people have talked about this off season Cedric Tilman what what have you seen with him well you know he'd only had had 21 receptions last year and he wasn't really involved and I think it comes a lot from having an injury as last year at Tennessee but physically you think about a receiver having all the tools and he's got all the tools he releases things like that and what he does really really well is here you know this doesn't get his foot in but this kind of tells you what I think he can do right he can be a red zone guy then I was really impressed with his movement skills here he just runs a quick hitch little Pro turn did a great job and then just kind of watching him physically right so when you see him physically and you're up you know you're five feet from him he's such a big kid and I think right here is what he can do he can go up and he can get the ball in the red zone so no I don't think he needs to be a starter no I don't think he needs to be a star but what he's done he's had a great off seon and the guys that are in this segment all these guys have physically improved how they look and Cedric Tillman is a guy who has all the tools and he's a guy who's got to be productive in the red zone for the Browns I think this Amari Cooper thing will work out but they still need a big long guy who's a mass matchup issue in the red zone and Cedric tilman's that guy so I look for him to have a big role in the red zone now I don't think it'll be a high number of catches necessarily or maybe huge yards this year but I do think he's going to have big catches when they need him in the Red Zone because teams are going to be focused on Cooper and the joku so I look for a big year um from this guy but I'll tell you what I was also impressed in his movement skills he's not a he doesn't Lumber he's he's got some good feet and length and things like that so just really impressed physically with Cedric Tillman during mandatory mini camp Yeah you mentioned 63 215 tell you what the thing that impressed me about him um a season ago was his blocking and I think that plays into some of the things that you're talking about in The Red Zone you can put him in the Red Zone because if you ask him to block he's going to do a pretty good job of it well yeah and obviously with Dickerson coming in di Dickerson has that mcfay background right so what's going to happen is you're going to see a lot of window dressing I just talked earlier today about the Browns offense is not going to be a ton different after the snap but there will be a ton of difference before the snap with movement and things like that so down in the Red Zone you're going to see those receivers be condensed and be either run routes or block on the edge you know their pin and pool counters so they're going to be asked to do a lot of blocking and they need some big bodies in there besides in joku so yeah not only his receptions but I agree with you that ability to block and set the edge will be huge for Cedric Tilman getting in the game yeah as you mentioned that you mentioned Shawn McVey and I'm not saying he's going to mimic this guy other than is blocking Cooper Cup's a guy that gets overlooked he blocks really well for a wide receiver and I think Cedric Tilman could carve out a kind of Niche getting on the field because of that they're not going to know if it's a run or a pass because he can play both you know I mean it disguises there's no tell with Cedric Tilman on the field well for me and blocking and you know what's funny with blocking is that a lot of guys there's a lot of tech technique involved but blocking as a receivers is all want to you got to want to you got to want to block you know you're not a pass catcher you're a receiver and with receiver comes a lot of responsibility and blocking is one of them and mcfay has kind of brought that into uh kind of Vogue where you can be in a condensed formation and you got to block a linebacker you got to set the edge on a defensive end you got to get to a you got to be athletic enough to block a safety uh they're big on leaving Corners block because Corners usually don't tackle very well so yes tman fits this role on what they want to do especially in 11 personnel in in the red zone now you got Cooper Judy uh you can maybe get more out of there you put Tilman in there jump ball set the edge in the Run game a lot of flexibility can they can do if Cooper and Judy are as good as people think they are more and Tilman could have big gears both catching and blocking
