'I'm in a better place' 2-time US Open champ Naomi Osaka responds after post-pregnancy body comments

yeah I mean I'm definitely in a better place I I think that for me in that moment I haven't had too many practices on hardcord and this is the busiest season I've ever had especially after coming from Wimbledon Olympics and then Toronto back to back so I think I needed a lot of time to adjust but um I I feel like I'm in a good place um I'm mean I think personally for me I've always been a bit of a pessimist on myself so um just being able to get to the point where I can tell myself like hey I'm proud of you um and um yeah I think doing that and taking time for myself I I feel like those those two have helped me out a lot um I mean I don't necessarily feel like things have to be perfect I'm pretty adaptable so um I I feel like at my best I can probably navigate through whatever's thrown my way but um I just kind of made a promise with with myself to be very confident in myself and my abilities I feel like that was kind of missing the last few [Music] tournaments oh I mean the grind is every day but um I don't know I I feel like people that aren't athletes wouldn't know how unglamorous the athletic life is but also maybe it's better that way because especially when I come to the US Open I kind of feel like we're entertainers and um I don't know I think that's pretty cool
