Dirtbox Overland Camper Quick Look on Rivian and Ford Super Duty Overland Expo MTN West

all right guys here I am at Overland Expo Mountain West checking out the dirt box camper for the rivan looks pretty sweet um but let's let's take a peek inside I don't know really know too many details cuz I just saw I just saw it now but lighting it comes standard he's got a button relocation so you can access it once you open the side panels which I mean personally I've pressed my buttons with the car locked tailgate opens the the gear tunnels open like there's some software glitches so I kind of like that they're a little bit more secure inside so you really have to think about it to open it um this is my first time walking in here so let's see I like the height cuz when I I have a mid height bed rack right now and it's really annoying because I can't put anything in my bed but it looks like with this with everything folded up still have a lot of bed space that section right there is that an add-on yes add-on okay so for the base price what was your retail price uh 95 9500 it's the bare shell here but with all the buttons and stuff right with the lighting yep um it's going to come before I go inside let me show you the the outside how it looks so it's going to come with this nice Extrusion here so you can mount the accessories these feel pretty nice of course they're lockable um of course you you know like the most racks you have the nice extrusions here so you can mount your accessories as well in addition to that dirt box they're based out of here right yep Colorado Denver Colorado um I'm going to pop inside now see I like how wide it is I also like that they did aesthetically taper this in here so it's not just a straight box so it looks funny there's some design to it so it really goes with the side profile of the car so I enjoy that let's go look at inside you said you turned the lights on yep oh I have my sunglasses on that's why I can't see so yeah the the light on the ging door that's dimmable you can touch the blue button oh nice and hold it oh damn I don't know if I'm doing it right don't just hold that blue oh hold the blue yep maybe my hands are I'm a ghost oh there you go I wasn't touching it enough yep um I was holding my glasses with my hand so yep so it comes standard with those charging ports you said right yep that's cool you have this ladder here I'm going to stand up right now oh you have lights up there that's all standard yep that's also standard so um other companies and other bed racks they just Mount to those you know the factory Loops which personally I don't think they're strong enough for something this heavy duty so I really love how this stainless uh stainless piece here bolts all the way down the length of the bed this is going to keep the whole thing from moving forward so there's a lot of campers where you have an issue if you're really like you know extreme example Baha that 1,000 your camper tends to start sliding forward so this is a nice solution to really make sure it's solid I mean that that makes me feel really confident in the mounting solution I don't trust just those four four hooks also the front and also the front yeah check that out so finally going to pop up here so this is standard here these buttons how do you turn on the light up there uh you see the blue just touch the blue touch the blue oh cool so here it is how long is the bed uh it's a full size standard size okay standard full size my B nice and the top is 1 in insulation form so even the the surface W it will create more insulation nice of course I mean you can does it come with a mattress or you have to buy your own mattress uh comes with a mattress it comes with a mattress okay nice and then what is this panel here so this panel closes yeah you can close it as like U kind of like a small dask you can push up the bat Push Up This Bat just push up so wedge pulls up yeah and there's stuff up there so obviously it's not going to pull all the way up right and also your all your bedding ones right there so you can see this area here yeah you can sit right here oh so I'm going to sit right here on this fridge yep sit on the e flow yep and lower this lock oh nice okay so there's yeah nice little shelf table nice little table cool does this line up with this when you close this so this lines up with the bed so it actually extends it if you really wanted to you're a really tall person yeah okay and I have another mattress for this oh perfect and then these of course they all open like your typical like popup camper the light's nice up there Y and then you got this light down here see for me this would be perfect because I have my dogs yeah so they can go down here yeah I can go here there's a small door for like you can communicate with the dock oh nice so this pops up or down the small door this right here yeah there you go that's cool nice then let me uh pop this back oh it's locked right here right sorry guys this is a really rough video but um I just got excited when I saw it I want to show you guys wasn't prepared um yeah pretty cool so I'm I'm even thinking for me like let's say my son is with me if I don't have that box I mean I can put a bed here you know dogss can be in here there's a lot you can do in here um and then there's mounting so is this mountable or you have to how did you mount that up there uh there's a Extrusion on the bottom you can feel it right here there it is okay let wipe my lens guys sorry there's the Extrusion so yeah nice full Extrusion so you can mount accessories or your own your your accessories yep and of course you're probably going to keep coming out with more um nice so this this extra drawer or box you can access it from the other side of course yeah um how much does that does that cost uh around 400 400 does that come with the table uh no table is separate okay how much is the table I don't know actually still still being designed yep um okay no that's fine man so far really cool let me get out this another cool thing I want to show you oh let's see this cool thing right here oh we got brighter out here a lot of stuff you want to take off yeah quick release oh nice so then you can get the war tank out the Oni out are those he has a this Molly panel here is this standard no no right our add on okay but this is a full l extr so you can different stuff so besides those and you can have a fishing rod like I have multiple accessories for this it's nice that it's Extrusion cuz you can really add your own stuff or if you want quick and easy you buy his stuff can check other side I don't have the moly I have a okay let's nice window over there too that's nice yeah a lot of people you know who really want to be able to see their surroundings y they're downside they always tell me they don't like wedge campers cuz you can't see out that side but look at this is perfect now you can see 360° open this window of course you'll be able to see out this window so that's really good stuff nice nice indirect uh indirect lighting up there yep dimmable dimmable as well like the other one y some side pockets for this Genesis as is standard nice there you go 100% it's still bright outside guys so it's really hard to see how bright the lights are but I'm at night I'm sure this is more than enough yep when you pop this up oh my God look at the space Oh look it's a Bronco yeah FR those are cuz is have like this much Gap you can do you can still put some stuff underneath nice awesome man um what is this I'm stepping on here this is the overd drawer system this is yours as well yep oh look at that get back so it's a modular drawer system you can only do one side okay so you don't have to get both sides you just do one side yep the drawer and the slide oh nice oh it's not just one big slide like some companies one big slide y this is two separate slides that's pretty cool y same with this one you came up with all this stuff these designs too yep pretty cool man that's cool I like that it's split nice I'm
