Before the game here, the Rogers Center tonight and this happened in every major league ballpark where a game was being played, denied a moment of silence and a tribute to one of the very best , maybe the best baseball player who ever lived in Willie Mays. Just a phenomenal career power, average defense speed. You name it your favorite player as you talked about last night. And Willie Mays passing away yesterday, kevin always had his issues holding, they have been successful in 12 of 13 attempts against Gosman this season. This is his 15th start of the year and Gosman has really had his problems pitching here at home at Rogers Center for the season. He's got a 644 earned run average in a one and three record on the road. Much different. 1. 86 a on the road. But for some reason, he's had his problems here, the 12 on the way and a swing and a miss at a fastball to get him. That's one thing that really has been kind of missing in goss game to this point, the ability to rack up strikeouts line drive right field and it's caught by George Springer two down, 31 gonna walk him and o'neill is quickly aboard with Devers to follow splitter down and it's down to first and that is the third out of the inning for a little bit of time. But he'll make the play on nevers. And it's a solid first inning. Brian Bale, six and four. a right at five last six starts. It's 6.89. He needs a good one. A high chopper off. The is going to reach as Enmanuel valdez came in on a do or die play, couldn't come up with it and he got hit and fortunately by a changeup, so hopefully not too much damage, but he is in some pain. Struck him out. That was nasty 96 with that sinker to fan Guerrero. That's the good ones. Swing animus and down. He goes back to back Hayes by Bao trying to get out of this thing. Gets a pop up here out goes Hamilton in comes Durant. Durant will take it and the Red Sox are out of the inning after the first two men reached nothing doing shuts him down. Even with Addison, we've seen him make some subtle adjustments in a short period of time. He's been in the, he lines a 12 breaking ball in the left center. He hit that hard and he is on his way to second base with a one out double and he got hit. He seems fine immediately taking off the shin guard but that was a 97 mile an hour fastball that got me reaches for it and hits a fly ball to shallow left center. The catch made by Roy Gonzalez two down Oritz on an infield single is one for one grounding that one Smith with the pick will flip on to Bao and once again, some trouble but he gets out of it despite a couple of base runners still in the minors for a reason. No one is grounded to third through Barger into the shortstop Conor FFA but he's got no play. It trickles into left field. So Roy thought about trying for second, but he's going to settle for first and an E five on anderson in the air to left field and right at V show there goes Roy, one of pitches taken for a strike throw to second base. Not in time. Stolen base for Rome Gonzalez Hamilton lined out to left field his first time up in center field. It's gonna drop out for a base hit Gonzalez turned over his shoulder to look. Here's Kiermaier throw up the line strikes him and he is in to score heading into third base Hamilton. He'll stop there. Not a great throw up the line winds up hitting Gonzalez Red Sox on the board. One to nothing but here we go. This is the speed we're talking about it always. It isn't just shown in stolen bases but Rome Gonzalez, he runs this guy foot speed is right up there with Durant and Hamilton and a bouncer to first guerrero will take it himself and the Red Sox will be held to the one run here in the top of the third one swinging a liner heading to center down for a base hit and Turner is really starting to get it going here in June. He's not a fan, Jansen and he will, that is in there for strike three. Came back with a slider and got him. He struck him out. He's out of another jam. Springer didn't think so, but back to back strikeouts. So the inning is over two more men left on John Schneider is coming out and Carlos Fab coming in to save Springer. I don't believe he got tossed out but they're trying to make sure it doesn't get that far. I believe this is going to be a rather violent swing from Manuel Valdez swinging a high deep drive way down the right field line. Watch it carry and that ball is way out of here home run. Valdez Red Sox lead two to nothing. You talk about a majestic blast. Patience is key. My friend and he teas off to double the Red Sox lead and Barger hits one through the left side for his second hit of the night. There goes Barger and it is a hit and run and it's going through the right side just like they drew it up 1st and 3rd. Nobody out. Kevin Kiermaier about to come up up the middle base hit Barger scores Kiner-Falefa around to third and the Blue Jays are on the board. Bouncer to short to second one and the Red Sox will turn two. Kiner-Falefa will come in to score to tie the game. He'll take that on the line. Gonzalez leaps and makes the play that really took off and guerrero says, what do I have to do? He hit that right on the button. Durant stands in swinging a high fly ball, center field racing for it. Kiermaier, he's turning around now, watch it go. It is gone. He crushed that ball. Duran got that way over the 400 ft mark and up there on the bridge, the flight deck in center field for his sixth home run and the Red Sox are back in front and 32 Boston lead and he will bloop that one to the left field that's down for a base hit a good start for the Sox in the sixth. He's one for three ball four. Red Sox have a couple of base runners. Fastball hit in the air right center field. Long run. Yeah. Makes the catch. Yoshida will tag and come to third but a great play by Kiermaier to take extra bases away from smith stayed with it. A very determined by Kevin Kiermaier that was going to be up against the wall. They're on the corners now for Gonzalez served to the right side. Horwitz will not down on the run is in to score. Yoshida eventually does score and puts the Red Sox in front 4 to 212 rattle up the middle and through for a base hit Valdez will round, he will score that will put runners at 1st and 2nd another man home and the Red Sox lead it 5 to 2, two pitch swing and a pop up mile high middle of the infield Horwitz standing just behind the second base bag makes a catch 11 hit on the ground off the mound up the middle, backing up. I in a shallow center throws to first and beats Devers one swing and a fly ball out to left playable for V. He's back in front of the track and squeezes it to end the inning. Vladimir Guerrero junior up zero for three today. The pitch swinging a liner headed to left field. That's another base hit two hops into the glove of Durant up to second Turner Guerrero at first and the tying run will come to the plate in the form of Dalton on and he will strike out first out in the inning right on right pitch to Springer. It pops out of the glove of Maguire. Turner comes in to score and Guerrero advances to second. That was a high pitch, but that could go down as a fastball for Re Maguire. It's a 5 to 3 game on the swing and a miss struck him out. Sweer did the deed. They do pick up a run. So it's a 5 to 3 game. Brings up to smith who is zero for three at the ball in the air three times. Just kind of gave one back a moment ago. A fly ball well struck right center Kier by racing, racing, racing. He can't get to it. Here comes Valdez around third. He will score and it's a double and an RB I for Smith his 19th stolen base swinging a ground ball to first guerrero with the bobble. No play a runner in and look at Durant scampering. He's going to force the throw. He gets himself in a run down trying to head on back and finally tag out, shot back to my bare hand. It goes down in the seat of his pants. He throws it over there to get the out. I see if he's ok. He went down and somehow made the play with a bare hand grab of it and got the out at first, but he took a nasty fall. Yeah, this is one of those when he fell down. Like did he bang his head? You know, honestly, he's had a couple of these that have come back line drive shots. You're smiling though. And I think just the fact that the ball was coming back, he reacted, but he's smiling right now to see that Yeah, he's, he's wearing it of Toronto. That's all that's happened in the series between these two for some time. Fly ball to left. Durant will make the catch and the Red Sox sweep the Blue Jays , they win it 7 to 3. And that's five in a row for Boston Sox on their way to Cincinnati. A very happy flight coming up.
