The Green Bay Packers Just Sent a CLEAR Message To The NFL.. | NFL News (Wicks, Jordan Love)

when you watch Jordan Love play it's so many plays that you could touch on and you could be watching him play and you can say oh my goodness this dude is going to be like that there are a lot of guys on that Packers offense that are in that same age range with Jordan love that that can grow and a send and have the potential to be thousand yard receivers his command of the offense his ability to throw any and every throw regardless of what has they on his ability to extend plays it's the receiving core and the variety almost like a basketball team different guys doing different things he is going to reset the market right playoff wins had a really good year we all can watch Jordan Love play the game of football and say oh how Jordan love ended 2023 was incredible I mean from week eight on he had an elite PFF passing grade H 27 Big Time throws you know you guys I'm just going to go ahead and get straight into the Green Bay Packers at this point because as we all know this team put together one of the best off Seasons out of any team in the NFL and just recently we finally got to see this new team on the field in the preseason and I think it's pretty easy to say that they impressed I liked what I saw from multiple players on the offense and I liked what I saw from multiple players on the defense and if I'm just going to be completely honest with you I think this team has a chance to be even better than they were last year which is pretty crazy to say considering they almost made it to the NFC championship game but before we get into why I exactly believe that if with the Packers this team of course last season blew over all expectations that anyone had for them and Jordan love's first year as a starter and Jordan love really did prove himself to be one of the better quarterbacks in the entire NFL he showed you he can make every throw that you want him to make and at the same time he's extremely good at getting out of the pocket which is all you can really ask from your starting quarterback now there were some people saying that this guy might be a one- hit wonder and he's not going to play as good in his second season but I think that might have just been proven a little bit false because in the Packers first preseason game we got to see him go in for one drive and I think we could all agree he made it look pretty easy he was only in for three plays and one of those plays was a run play but despite that he still found a way to score a touchdown in just two he threw an absolute dime to an open receiver for a 50 plus yard touchdown and after that Matt laflor decided pretty quickly that that's all he needed to see Jordan love is still the same guy that he was last year and that should give Packers fans a lot of confidence going into the season I know it's just the preseason and I know it's a small sample size that's literally the best thing you can ask for if you're only going to let your starter play for one drive so to see that is a really good sign I expect him to make himself known as a top 10 quarterback in the NFL this year and if he does that everything else on this Packers offense is going to follow because they have a ton of talent to help Jordan out to start I think we got to talk about the guy that caught Jordan loves touchdown in the preseason game Don Taven Wicks because even though this guy was really really slept on last year people are finally starting to realize that this guy can play the game of football and he proved that to everyone once once again against the Browns he found a way to get basically wide open which gave Jordan love just the ability to put it out there in front of him and let him run under it and that's exactly what davien Wix did and after he caught it no one was catching him he was going to score a touchdown and that's exactly what he found a way to do now obviously he didn't have a great sample size either but I think that gave us a small glimpse of the breakout year that he's ready for and if you have a guy like him ready for a breakout year to go along with all the other pieces that the Packers have this passing game is undoubtedly going to be elite firstly you of course still have that guy Romeo dos and we all know how good of a player he is you still have that guy Christian Watson who I think has the potential to be one of the best receivers in the NFL if he can just stay healthy you have jayen Reed who broke out last year as your leading receiver and probably your best deep threat and then finally you still have that guy Bo Melton and you have that guy Grant dubos who absolutely turned up in the first preseason game as well he was doing pretty much anything that Matt laflor wanted him to and if he turns out to be as good as I think he's going to be I really don't see how this receiver room is going to be stopped because you can constantly rotate guys in and out to keep everyone's legs fresh and with them all being as talented as they are you're going to be able to get the same production level out of them there's a reason Matt laflor came out and said that he's sick of people asking who the receiver one is and it's simply because the Packers offense doesn't work like that he just wants a bunch of different guys that can contribute and make plays and that's exactly what I think we're going to see now what's crazy is it doesn't just stop there you also have an outstanding tight end room that starts with that guy Luke Musgrave and ends with that guy Tucker craft both of these guys are obviously coming off good rookie seasons and I think both of them are going to contribute to the team just like they both did last year obviously Musgrave was hurt for a lot of last year so we didn't get to see a ton of him but when we did get to see him he played really really well and Tucker craft played really really well when Musgrave wasn't able to play which means you have two great receiving threats at the tight end position to go along with other receiving threats you have at receiver this is going to cause the defense to have to worry about so many different people at the same time that I really don't think they're going to be able to and that's why I think Jordan love is due for a really really big here but even with a passing game like that you got to have a great running game too to go along with it to keep the defense honest and uh I think it's pretty easy to see that the Packers are going to have that as well you went out and added that guy Josh Jacobs in the off season to give you a good running back that can carry the load and even though we only got to see one Rush from him in the preseason he did look pretty decent on that run and I'm extremely excited to see how Matt laflor decides to use him I really do think he's going to have a great year and pairing a great run game with everything this passing attack is going to be able to do should make a top five offense in the NFL but as we all know you don't just need a great offense you also need a great defense to go along with that and the Packers man have that as well especially with everything they were able to add to start you of course have a new defensive coordinator who I can guarantee is going to be better than Joe Barry because you can't get much worse than that and when you look at the defensive talent you have talent everywhere it just needs to be put together and I really think that's going to happen the defensive line consist of guys like rwn Gary Preston Smith Kenny Clark TJ Slayton Etc and we all know those guys are extremely good and then to go along with that you also have guys like Lucas vaness who we saw get back there and get a sack in the first preseason game which is obviously super promising I was super high on Lucas vaness out of the draft and I think a lot of Packers fans were as well and I really do think we're going to start seeing him turn it on this year as he gets more and more snaps so the defensive line should be able to get for the passer and then when it comes to the linebacker room you of course drafted Tyrone Hopper and Edan Cooper who are both guys that have a ton of potential and you're still going to have Quay Walker and Isaiah McDuffy who are both guys that have proven themselves to be pretty good as well so the defensive line is good the linebacker room is good so you should have a great front seven overall which means you're not only going to be able to stop the run game and slow down the most important thing you can in football but you're also going to be able to get after the passer at a really high level and you're going to be able to get after him really really quick and if you can do that paired along with stopping the Run game that's the start to a defense becoming Elite and then when you look at the secondary I'm extremely excited about this group as well because not only do you have one of the best corners in the entire league in Jer Alexander but you also have a lot of other guys to pair along with him you have Eric Stokes who I'm extremely excited to see this year you still have kesan Nixon who I think played solid for you last year you went on added Xavier McKenna who is one of the best safeties in all of football and you drafted one of the best safeties in the entire draft in Javon Bullard which like I said makes up a secondary that you probably should be worried about so when you look at this defense as a whole it really does look like they're going to be able to do pretty much everything really really well and if they can do that I expect them to be a top half defense in the league and that's all they really need to be when you have an offense on the other side that's going to be able to score a ton of points you just need to be able to stop opposing offenses half the time and then the Packers offense will be able to carry the rest of the load and that's honestly what I think is going to happen I think this team is going to have a great chance to make a Deep Run in the playoffs and maybe even find themselves in the Super Bowl as crazy as that might be to say but of course that's just my opinion so I'm still curious to know what
