life in New Hampshire after Contracting the triple e as the northeast states worn a mosquito born virus that is Curr ly spreading now in addition to that here's another one that has just come out today it says quote stay inside and we're hearing that there are lockdowns curfews right now they're voluntary being set in place as a result of what's unfolding towns put under nighttime lockdown as disabling horse virus they call it that ends the lives of one in three people runs rampant across the Northeast everything that you need to know about the mosquito born disease from initial symptoms to signs of brain swelling that could fold and we're hearing that there is no cure for this there is no vaccine uh at this time so they are very concerned about this and here's another article that minutes ago says a person loses their life in New Hampshire after Contracting Triple E as the northeast states are now warning of this mosquito still born virus a person in New Hampshire has lost their life after Contracting the Eastern equan intis virus Triple E is a rare disease transmitted by mosquitoes only 11 human cases have been reported annually on average according to the Center for Disease Control and prevention so typically they'd say this is not something to be concerned about however it is ramping up right now several people horses and mosquitoes around the Northeast have tested positive for the disease this summer a resident of Hamstead New Hampshire has been hospitalized due to severe central nervous system disease and passed away due to this illness according to a Tuesday release from the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services the department declined to release the Identity or the time of passing of the particular individual we believe there is an elevated risk for Triple E infections this year in New England given the positive mosquito samples that have been identified the New Hampshire State epidemiologist Dr Benjamin Chan said in the release the risk will continue into the fall until there is a hard Frost that ends the lives of the mosquitoes everybody should take steps to prevent mosquito bites when they are Outdoors at this time now officials around the Northeast urge precautions due to the Triple E risk at this time while Triple E is rare roughly 30% of the cases they will end in loss of life so they're saying if you contract this one in three people they are not going to make it through Triple E and many survivors have ongoing neurological issues according to the CDC the virus is most common in the eastern and Gulf Coast states and researchers have also warned that climate change is giving rise to mosquitoes as they thrive in warm humid weather the CDC has identified four human triple E cases in 2024 in Wisconsin New Jersey Massachusetts and Vermont the agency did not respond to USA today's request for updated tracking in light of the New Hampshire case where an individual has lost his life today Triple E has also been found in horses and mosquitoes in several other States including Massachusetts New York Rhode Island and Connecticut officials in some countries have urged residents to take precautions and a Massachusetts town even has closed public parks and Fields From Dusk until dawn so these are the voluntary lockdowns and curfews that are currently taking place place right now Massachusetts most recent outbreak began in 2019 and left six losing their lives now how do you protect yourself from Triple E Eastern equin enalis is spread to humans through bites from infected mosquitoes the virus can cause a fever headache vomiting diarrhea seizures behavioral changes drowsiness as well according to the CDC most people infected with Eastern equin and sephtis they do not develop symptoms the CDC has said people of all ages they are susceptible to infections but people over the age of 30 and people under the age of 15 are at the greatest risk uh for potential severe cases there is no treatment or vaccine for Triple E but people in high-risk areas can protect themselves by preventing mosquito bites which are most likely to happen from dusk until dawn take precautions to avoid mosquito bites and protect against potential exposure to the mosquito born illness use insect repellent wear loose fitting long sleeve shirts and pants use air conditioning and been placed under nighttime lockdown as fears around disabling disease spread by mosquitoes is now ramping up almost a dozen communities have also been designated as high or critical risk for the these towns in little cities and areas in Massachusetts now we're seeing them in other states as well the state's Health Department announced on August 16th that a man in his 80s had caught the virus in the town of Oxford it marked the first human case found in Massachusetts since 2020 after an outbreak saw 17 people infected and caused the loss of life of seven of those 17 now the new the news came a month after Massachusetts Department of Public Health or the dph detected Triple E positive mosquito samples for the first time in first time this year Oxford Health officials recommended an outdoor curfew from Dust Till Dawn which officials described as Peak biting times for many mosquitoes now they are the they advised residents to stay indoors from 6:00 pm. until September 30th so until September 30th for the rest of this month they are saying please stay indoors State Health officials warned that a cluster of four towns Oxford Douglas Sutton and Webster are at critical risk the nearby town of Plymouth also announced that it was closing public parks and Fields From Dusk until dawn each day after a horse in the town was infected with the disease putting residents at a higher risk for Triple E Health departments in neighboring towns also urge residents to use mosquito repellent when outdoors and drain any standing water around their homes as well as avoid being outside at Peak Bing times so they are saying please stay indoors please prepare for this if you are in the northeastern areas dph commissioner Robbie Goldstein said in a statement we have not seen an outbreak of Triple E in four years in Massachusetts this year's outbreak and activity raised the risk of communities in part for the state we need to use all of our available tools to reduce risk and protect our communities we are asking everyone to do their part in an effort to try to control the spread of Triple E officials revealed plans to conduct aerial spraying and pesticides Anvil 10+ 10 a comp a compilation that is a a complication that is extremely dangerous the disease gets worse quickly and some patients may go into Comas within weeks according to the CDC the Cleveland Clinic symptoms of a severe infection that causes brain inflammation may include the following If you experience confusion diarrhea drowsiness headaches high fevers higher than 140° fah loss of appetite vomiting behavioral changes or seizure feur es the best way to protect yourself from the disease is to avoid getting bitten by mosquitoes use insect repellent and wear long sleeves long trousers and socks when outdoors with will help keep mosquitoes away from your skin keep mosquitoes out of your house by repairing any holes in your screens making sure that they are tightly attached to the doors and windows remove areas of standing water around your home you can also consider scheduling outdoor events to avoid the hours between Dusk and Dawn when mosquitoes are the most active now the massachusett department of agricultural research commissioner Ashley Randall said due to the increased Triple E risk and the first human case this season the state is taking decisive action to protect Public Health aerial spraying will Target mosquitoes carrying the Triple E virus so in those areas if you see spraining in the skies they are trying to get rid of the Triple E virus while these measures are crucial for reducing transmission risks it is vital for everyone to stay vigilant and follow personal protection guidelines to safeguard our communities Massachusetts Health officials noted that triple E infections in humans remains rare since the virus was first identified in Massachusetts in 1938 just over 115 cases have occurred since then the majority of the cases typically have been from Bristol Plymouth and norol counties however in an active year human cases can occur throughout the state outbreaks in the United States the CDC says only a few cases of Triple E are reported in the US each year year with most infections found in the eastern and Gulf Coast states outbreaks of Triple E usually occur in Massachusetts every 10 to 20 years and typically last 2 to three years in 2019 there was an outbreak there were six people that lost their lives among 12 confirmed cases in Massachusetts so 50% of those that contracted this did not survive the outbreak continues the following year with five more cases and another loss of life symptoms of triol include the fever headache vomiting diarrhea and seizure people who survive are often permanently disabled and few completely recover Massachusetts authorities have said so that is why we are seeing these uh voluntary lockdowns and we're also seeing these voluntary curfews rare mosquito born disease triggers voluntary curfews in Massachusetts town this just came out two days ago where it said that four towns in central Massachusetts are advising their residents to stay indoors at night to avoid debate as a result of the debates the Biden campaign had crumbled and Fallen apart so they are saying that you need to do this and we're also hearing from the left from kamla Harris's campaign that she needs to do it as well that she will not have a very high chance of succeeding and winning in November if she does not step up to the plate and do these debates and also a lot of people are waiting to see what is going to be her policies what is she going to be proposing we've seen the economic policies and plans released a lot of people saying that it was along the lines of socialist communism with KLA Harris on some of the uh price restrictions that she wants to put in place also sending out $25,000 for down payments on homes um they're saying some of the economic policies do not
