all right here's your Birdland minute for July 9th 2024 Orioles lose 9-2 to the Cubs to start the home stand to blow out here to get it going um some good news before the game Jordan Westberg was added to the All-Star Game roster replacing Raphael Des he Bel he belonged there in the beginning should have been voted on but he gets there anyway good for Westy homers in this game as well after hearing the news so that's great um about the only new good news for the Orioles though Dean Kramer allowed a couple early runs and then a couple unearned runs a bad error by Ramon Aras a gunner error as well bad defensive inning there for the birds and then later um he has a base open with two outs and two on against Ian half one of their best pitchers he could have pitched around him and face Morel he doesn't he gives up a three-run homer to let it get out of hand seven runs in total for Dean Dylan Tate another couple runs score off him he's just not it he uh he's just hasn't been great this year he needs to go down after the break and new oral need to start giving other guys an opportunity the division's in a good spot you feel good about making the playoffs but let's give Tucker Davidson a shot let's give Chase mcder a shot let's give a couple other guys an opportunity to prove themselves and see if we can find another piece here
