We have team coverage of the traffic stop tonight. Our sports director, Will Manso, is standing by with the latest updates from the team. But let's begin with local ten, Sanela Sabovic with the latest on the investigation. >> Sanela. Well Calvin and Nicole, this is all anyone has been talking about these past two days. >> Imagine driving by the hard Rock Stadium here and seeing Dolphins star Tyreek Hill on the ground, detained with handcuffs. Now Hill did speak out, saying that he is still trying to process all of this, that he was cooperating with the officers on scene. Meantime, the department is saying this is all under investigation, that. >> Part of the car, as a matter of fact, get out of the car. >> Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill detained and cuffed by Miami-Dade police right outside of hard Rock Stadium hours before the game on Sunday, the South Florida Police Benevolent Association president Steadman Stahl, said Hill was driving in a manner where he put himself and others in Greatrillionisk of danger, releasing the statement reading in part. >> Upon being stopped, Mr. Hill was not immediately cooperative with the officers on scene who, pursuant to policy and for their immediate safety, placed Mr. Hill in handcuffs. Mr. Hill, still uncooperative, refused to sit on the ground and was therefe redirected to the ground. Hill says he was cooperating and is still trying to process it all right now. >> I'm still trying to, um, put it all together. It wasn't disrespectful. You know, because my mom didn't raise me that way . Um, didn't cuss. I don't want to bring it racing to it, but sometimes gets kind of iffy when you do. You feel me? So what if I wasn't Tyreek Hill? Laura knows like what that guy or guys would have did. >> Hill's agent also speaking out. >> I was just trying to get to work trying to play a game, just trying to do his job for police officers to detain him to handcuff him, to put him on the ground like that, to put their knee on him, to hit him. Um, is just devastating. >> It didn't end there. When defensive tackle Calais Campbell stopped to check on Hill, he also was handcuffed. An officer ordered him to stand back, accusing him of disobeying a direct order. I'm driving to the game, you know. >> You know the lane. I'm in is blocked off. I see Tyreek you know and handcuffs. >> In a statement, Miami-Dade Police Director Stephanie Daniels said quote following the incident involving Tyreek Hill I have initiated an internal affairs investigation to ensure a thorough review of the matter . One of the officers involved in the incident has been placed on administrative duties while the investigation is being conducted, and the department says because this is an active investigation, no additional information will be released until it concludes.
