Oklahoma Football: RB Taylor Tatum Temple postgame

fastpaced so I feel like just just adapting to that was kind of easy for me that first run kind of get you going oh yeah for sure that that first little tackle that first little scrumble so it was good yeah that 45 y run I mean that long one what did you see on that play to bur uh just just like the other one I just uh be a running back find a hole get vertical make a couple moves and just get as much yard as you can and obviously it was a was a big win but what was the kind of the sentiment from the offense after after the game and how' you guys feel like you guys oh we um I feel like in the ho we did pretty good I mean if you score that many points you're doing something good but obviously there's there's there's uh always something to get better you know receivers B their butt off o line brought their butt off you know we still had some misassignments Miss Miss every everybody had some something they can improve on tonight so obviously we're going to enjoy the win we're going to look forward and watch the film but uh there's always something to get better so we'll probably enjoy the win tonight look tomorrow and just get better and look for the next week your first big time college game last time you ran the ball like that you were in high school what did that feel like out there with that crowd that music the lights that team oh it just felt great there's no other place I rather do it and here you know just all all the people crowd crowd was definitely into it tonight uh Stadium felt feel even bigger when you're on it uh better than when you were recruit on the sideline looking in so just when you're on it you just have a burst of adrenaline and you know I I haven't been hit since last year of like November so just getting a getting hit again getting a live action speed again was definitely a great feeling did was there a feeling feeling of familiarity oh yeah when you're carrying it you look up and there's a hole there and you hit it oh yeah oh yeah I definitely uh took me took me a little bit when I in the summer and in the fall Camp to get my groove but once I got that Groove I feel like keep getting better and better and um just enjoy the process also did you bounce one outside was it design to go that way or you just see the hole uh I probably just saw the hole I'm sure it was designed inside run linebacker fit fit the hole he supposed to fit and I just both both did our jobs find a hole made a play so probably what happen being a multisport athlete you know you're working on baseball and football is it mostly just football right now or you kind of working out with uh yeah definitely definitely mostly football you know takes takes a lot of time and patience to be good at this game recovery film Playbook so I'm definitely def pretty locked in on football but I feel like just like I did in high school translate to college when I mean when our when we win a championship somewhere then I go go the next week to baseball get some rips in and just do my thing over there also what's been the preparation in there like for this season what's been the preparation for use in football trying to get back here uh I'll probably say just taking advantage of everything they have here just the the recovery you know best coach in the nation best running back coach in the nation done it all been been here been to the next level done it all so just being around that type of guy being that type of coach just you have no you cannot get better everybody in that running everybody in that running back room we all push each other other we all love on each other but we know it's a competition at RB room and on the field so just having a coach like that you just you can't not get better you mentioned DeMarco you guys got a lot of got a lot of running backs back there when you do get in you feel like this I got to make it happen or you just kind of let it come to you um you I feel like we all just we all know our role I feel like we all push each other to certain certain limit I feel like we all have things we do good you know everybody has their own little critiques and everything but I don't really say that you have to get in make a play you just be yourself and you just run do your jobs run be a good running back and everybody in that room is here for a reason rbu so we all just push each other you um you mentioned DeMarco what was a substitution I know you haven't been here four games before uh but just was it awkward was there times in there where you're wondering who's in or anything like that tonight no I mean Co coach Batman almost did just like he did I mean obviously he's making calls from a headset but I mean they all do the same thing you go in you go in uh I me he's around us all the time so you go to the iPad be like you need to get this right you need to get this right so it felt it felt normal it felt like um nothing really changed obviously the voice is different but it didn't feel much different at all you feel like you're integrated into the passing game or is it still still early for you uh I feel like we I feel like still early I mean I was in a couple times but it's not it's not really too much to say from that game okay thank you yeah for sure
