Pastor Eric Goode, “Throw it on Him”

good morning family I trust that you are well and that certainly you're walking in the that you're steadfast in the grace of God that you're remaining unmoved from the hope of the Gospel I it's been a minute since we have had this time to share together I'm and I certainly do apologize for that um I've been meaning to get back on schedule with our daily devotion and prayer on our in our personal family chat so this is me getting re-engaging you all back in that time and so today up but today I want to draw your attention uh to a wonderful text in First Peter chapter 5 and verse 7. notice what the word says casting all your anxieties on him because he cares for you uh casting all your anxieties or cares on him because he cares for you um my simple word of encouragement is this throw it on them throw it on them dearly you and I are beset with different anxieties we are our anxiety is triggered if you will by a variety of situations of us are facing issues or trouble in our family which is triggering our anxieties some of us are facing issues on our jobs or even issues in the church but Peter offers for us this simple admonishment cast your cares upon him now I would submit surmise that this is not just a one-time thing but this is a daily thing um cast now that word cast in its original meaning means to throw it on them in the original language that means to throw it on them God is saying to you and I today that whatever you are facing right now whatever the Dilemma whatever the anxiety whatever the tragedy whatever the crises he is simply saying throw it on me and if you throw it at him he has the ability he has the capacity to catch whatever you throw at him he cares for you he is he cares for you and his care is not just simply I see your need and can't do nothing about it but he sees our need and because he sees our need he can do he can meet every need of ours throw it on him he can not only catch it but he can give you something for the anxiety give you release relief give you the sufficiency of his grace that that can help you navigate through all of your trouble father thank you that you care for us that you are concerned about us and that you bid us through the apostle you invite us to throw everything at you all of our anxiety those things that we carry that we know we cannot handle you invite us to throw it at you being cognizant of the very thing that you can do what no other power can do and so father meet the needs of your people strengthen each one with lighting their inner person Grant unto them my father the sufficiency of your grace do unto them in accordance with your will and have your way may you continue to meet the needs of the People's Baptist Church may you ever add to this church daily such as should be saved may you continue to bless the finances so that the work of the Gospel may be Advanced throughout the world thank you kind savior in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth amen and amen God bless you beloved have a great day
