Well County Sheriff's Office was notified by an oil company scraping the ground uh to prepare for this next Pipeline and a skull came out of the ground Well County drove out took a look and said that's clearly human this is the case of Janelle Matthews a 12-year-old girl who disappeared on the evening of December 30th 1984 following a middle school Christmas concert in gy Colorado it wouldn't be until 35 years later in June of 2019 that Janelle's remains would be found it was reported that following the concert Joelle took a ride home with a friend arriving home at approximately 8:15 p.m. she was never seen alive again Matthew's father arrived home at 9:30 p.m. to find the garage door open but nobody home as he looked around he then found her shoes and other items in the family room where Janelle normally sat becoming worried he immediately called police deputies from gley Police Department arrived
