as for sevette well there's not too many familiar names in their lineup there are a couple of players to look out for though Derek cessa has scored five times already this season veterans Miroslav stanovic has bags of experience around European football their goalkeeper is vastly experienced to he's played over 250 times for them Jeremy frck former Leon keeper and he might feel like he's going to be in for a busy night tonight we'll have to wait and see as far as that goes your new s it's not disrespectful is it to talk about sevette coming here maybe to contain we spoke to our colleague from Swiss media who sat just in front of us and he said they don't normally play with two holding midfielders in domestic football but that's what they're doing tonight for them it is about making the second leg alive for the likes of Pedro Netto it's about settling into life at Stanford Bridge yeah Ian they take a narrow defeat I'm sure to take back to to Switzerland have a real go at it back there on Thursday of next week so yeah I'd expect them to be relatively conservative um expecting to very much play on the counter obviously they've had a relatively good start to their domestic campaign I think three wins in their five games beat a decent side in Braga so they'll be confident and there'll be the fitness there as you touched on Matt when we're looking at a Chelsea 11 tonight where there's a number of players that are a little bit short that haven't had much of a pre-season and in Pedro netto's case um you know just getting to know his teammates in essence and only had a handful of training sessions so it's not going to be smooth it's not going to be seamless but that said loads of talent in this Chelsea team love the look of that attacking Midfield and kungu and juicey Hall if it is to be two of them and or possibly Palmer at times this season in that role that is malw in so hopefully those two can have a big say on the proceedings tonight yeah we saw Enzo moresa make a tactical tweak uh perhaps in deference to the opponents here on Sunday we are very much expecting this to be patented moresa ball from the off let's see though sevette in their white forward to go over there that's not a criticism cuz I admire the honesty the run's brilliant stays on side fantastically well and I think nine times out of 10 you sent the forward's going to go down there so and it's a penalty impossibly a red car yeah reluctantly I'm going to praise him though credit to him for staying up because you don't want to see players leaving the leg in that is a a product of the modern game possibly is something that you see and I probably anticipated him going to the deck there well he's already won a lot of friends I think around Stanford Bridge Mark for his Relentless work rate saw that in preseason we saw it in his Cameo on Sunday he was stumbling there but he just actually tried to fling himself with the ball to head in didn't he yeah on the goal line he shield with too much on that from Ki to deal with pessa can get on the ball for svette up against AEL is as he who hasn't had any preseason minutes after having surgery in the summer so it's going you know his versatility that he plays in Midfield previously a lot during his career seems like a little bit of a no-brainer um and immediately in preseason I was taken by his size you know he's a real specimen athletic lovely left foot and um looks like he can spray our ball around beautifully as well so received the ball early on in this game in the 18 yd box got a little feel for it in a tight little situation and that's where he's going to have to be Adept that's where he's going to have to move the ball sharp and it's probably you know one of the big characteristics that Enzo Moresco is looking for that type of player that and probably the ability to recover the ball when it does turn over so yeah it's a good opportunity for him tonight in a position that feels like it's a little bit up for grab still well potentially there's going to be an awful lot of football for Chelsea this season so every position is going to need two players Vega familiar with sevette more familiar than most because he played against them last season for Basel right long throwing in here he going to be hurled in by onua Cameroon International gbury Hall got his head to it Vegas's pitch neto's out on the right wing again he going to get in by AI [Applause] I say though Netto opening up his legs find the quality of the cross that he was looking for but we've seen glimpses of what he's going to bring to the party for Chelsea yeah the change of faes is really explosive and impressive just slow things down asuku goes touch and he just bursts away from him with that little step over that touch wasn't the best just took it a little bit under his feet unable to to dig it out really on his right foot but yeah certainly been bright and you could argue that Tessa for cette has been as Lively as any of the Chelsea attackers to this point difficult to get it into the forward players feet you always hear that you're only as good as your Strikers in football it's almost like jub Hallen and kungu this Chelsea team's only going to be as good as the players in those positions they need to get on it and really affect things and at the moment the two holding midfielders for sevette doing a pretty good job in that regard you tuck on them dropping back into a five into a six at that time that's because they''re being so disciplined there holding midfielders in marking them oh mudri can he get the shot off here he could but he couldn't hit the target broke to him very quickly wanted to take it on [Applause] early when he's in conversation disagreement with in kunu kungu won in the pass I don't think so I think he has to strike here what I'm surprised about is that's just got to be bent towards the far corner I don't think he needs to go towards the near post side just seemed to wait for the play to develop this a quick shift again that's going to become a feature of Chelsea's play and his individual moments gets a nice bit of space couple of yards of space just can't find either the corner and kunu play inside for Netto to get there [Applause] cinoto plent of down this right hand side early on stanovic so early on we're just over a third of the way through this game we're still waiting for the first goal it's another testing ball whipped across the face of this the Chelsea 6y box and eventually Jor able to grab it we need to be better at at trying to stop that delivery from the right hand side that's two absolute peaches but zero pressure on the Crosser and I don't know exactly why cessa isn't expecting that and absolutely steaming inside this a he cuz he hesitated quite easily been an opening goal for the visitors two Exquisite balls on the right hand side but Chelsea need to be mindful need to get out and stop that cross or at least try and affect person [Applause] delivering Chelsea have by far the best coefficient ranking of any team in this competition actually ninth overall in UAA competition 79.0 next highest ISP on 49 so that's his nine be an example of the difference historically between how these two have performed pinku goes down in the penalty area and referee pinard immediately waves his hands now gu just letting the ball get away from him on a couple of occasions looks incredibly eager to impress and it's been difficult for him really to have too many touches of the ball so just a little bit sloppy again there had he collected it slightly clean up up the pass would have been an easier want to Fashion in the end it was a little bit of a mess between him and kungu [Music] rri plent of time to the ball's that high you've got kind of allow mudri to have the opportunity to get one V one up against sunamoto juall makes really good wide runs but there good work from gu there closing the goalkeeper but I think juud behall has to when the ball's a little bit higher just be appreciative that that mudr can beat his fullback get to the by line and vacate that space rather than going into [Applause] s is some chy subs down below just going for a looser expect plenty of changes in the game just based on load management as much as anything else but the moment Chelsea more concerned with going into Midfield on occasion as well to try and get an extra body to receive the ball and that certainly a threat down the left hand side with cessa but more recently two great balls put in from the right so Chelsea need to be concentrated try and get in at nil nil worst case it was smack dab On Target from rier but right down the throat of [Applause] Jorgenson meets it brilliantly gets the Run great touch from mudri now what comes next and so often that has been the problem for Mao mudri wasn't even a particularly difficult pass it's given cette the opportunity to break again as he's got some defending to do here up against Kessa manag to squeeze it through and toen wasn't taking any risks puts out the play for a throw not [Applause] quite sunoto thinking about a hit here you know from fully 50 yards out it flicked off the head of benoir bad shei and goes behind for the fourth corner of the game for the team from Geneva you're well defended initially this a on who's able to get the ball in but was a difficult one to pick out a teammate that's that previous header heads that down I think he's got a much better chance of scoring down towards the feet of Jenson but certainly more of the first half to go [Applause] r i s plenty of space here been urged to come forward he got enough on that for ju has just skipped off the turf and away from him yeah all magnitude of of options there really just too heavy to pass for juby Hall running from Deep good opportunity to maybe be a little safer with his pass there K though the box was going to be loaded had plenty of bodies down below us mil s on the attack again shot this time is not a good one he's that plenty of the ball goodess and he's look really bright just unable to find that end product to this point but I think it's fair to say that they've got better as their halfes worn on and Chelsea got worse started really brightly maybe not translated into opportunities and I think you can accept sometimes it not being very cohesive early part of the season going forward especially but that intensity maybe without the ball that's just lacking to a degree soet winning too many second balls at the moment slow to stop crosses not much intensity going to close the ball so the halim not going to come at a bad time for chelse could get worse stanovic sliding it in didn't get enough on it for prelli that game after juice Hall gave it away on halfway might be a few harsh words in the dressing room in a couple of minutes time again it's a it's a work in progress It's not going to happen overnight especially with this amount of changes from the 11 that took to the field against Manchester City but you see a little bit better in terms of their work ethic this is better from guu and he's found in kungu force widen and then shot was deflected the angle wasn't great but it was on to take that steady touch and then just Fizz it towards the far post couple of players in close proximity making sure that didn't [Applause] [Applause] happen rea [Applause] gu it back to Jorgenson from toen Jorgenson's not had anything particularly difficult to do yet neither as freck at the other end in the contest context of what we've seen the the mark gu one onone early on in this game could have been a huge moment probably the best chance Chelsea have created came so early in the game brilliant from mudri and again it's the action after the bit that's good which is lacking they're really frustrating half like you say the initial little flick and the stepover on that occasion has been eye-catching at times but needs to be better brilliant play little nutmeg off the step over just fraction too heavy outside of the right boot just a one added minute at the end of the first half [Applause] gu found some space last chance of the half this from [Applause] kungu madri [Applause] so far so so for Chelsea but sevette so happy with how the first half has gone very little in the way of goal scoring opportunities at either end but it's sa that who've looked the more likely to score an early chance for Mark aside Chelsea have struggled to to test Jeremy Frick in the visitors goal plenty to do then in the second half at the break of the bridge is Chelsea nil sevette nil changes from sevette by the look of [Applause] things so it's going to be Mark gu to get the second half underway Chelsea kicking towards the Matthew harling stand in the second half here looking for something positive to take to Switzerland next week so that are they going to try and hold on to what they have they can they can pinch a goal to take back home with [Applause] them sheld too much on that for Madrick to be able to keep it in play finished last season in the team Beno B Shield started the final seven games of the campaign he's played in Europe before for Monaco aler got his head to it here's mudri barged off the ball a little too easily Tessa put from that's be so good at have his pocket pick straight away by K didn't get enough on his pass think was able to find madri use his Pace to get Chelsea over halfway get away from simoto he's done well madri riding the challenges bringing Pedro nto into play much better for M madri nto floated in too much on that produced reall though yeah it's a shame I mean that will do Madrid the world of good it's really good stuff he's lacked that end product his final ball has been sloppy on numerous occasions in the first half so that was fantastic stuff recognized that sunamoto was able to keep up with him Pace wise or get back into a good defensive position that little shift and pass excellent I say that just making a d from MRI when he came back with to b a shield he's toing neto's got space right hand side if Chelsea can work it that way kungu Netto with his left at time didn't reach the penalty area maziku [Applause] Tessa oh G3 Hall can he pinch this quite well done rier although gbury Hall's got it now just too much foru is it no goalkeeper got a touch had to be a penalty referee in no doubt rash from Jeremy Frick who raced off his line to try and stop Christopher and kungu and the only way he could do it was by bringing him down and he's in no doubt and it's similar to that move in the first half it's ju ball once again the architect and he's clearly going to get to the ball ball first and frck commits himself completely unnecessarily he waits for the Collision doesn't he he knows that the body of the goalkeeper is going to come into his legs and it looks like a absolute Stonewall penalty good play from guu got to say the squeeze from Chelsea there was really good went with a few bodies on the far side mudri as well Clos in ball break favorably for dreb hter play that lovely little pass Christopher andu has scored a penalty at Stanford Bridge he scored in the shootout in the cup against Newcastle here last season now he looks to put Chelsea ahead and get his first goal in European competition for the blues and he does smacks it in goalkeeper guess right but Christopher and kungu got the power and the placement which meant that frck could only wave at it as it flew past him into the net break through early into the second half for Chelsea Christopher andu makes it Chelsea one sevette nil yeah and he's got quite an interesting technique he just starts quite centrally couple of steps to the left starts his run and he's got such good technique and quality in that right boot there's no doubt really it's firm it's accurate it's a perfect penalty right in the corner [Applause] well last season was such a disappointment for all of us but mainly for Christopher and kungu because of his [Applause] injury and Chicago in the final pre-season game it wrecked his season he is the archetypal he's going to be like a new signing type of player and he showed his quality there yeah sometimes you need a little bit of good fortune or a mistake that's how it's come I think the goalkeeper really poor there didn't get so much as a booking freck and he had no chance with the penalty I never really understand it goalkeepers come flying out I think they have to threaten that they're going to do so and just hold back just be a little bit conservative especially when the ball's going away from the goal I know it must be so tempting to come out you feel it's your domain you feel like you have to dominate your 18 yd LS back oh gu he's managed to win it back and he's surely going to put it in for his first Chelsea goal maybe second time round no Mark gu how about Third Time Lucky it's the goalkeeper oh he can't believe it freck let off the hook and gu can't believe he hasn't scored here's Netto well everybody in the ground including Jeremy Frick thought that that was going going to be 2-n it really should have been frck got back and made the save but he ought not to have been given the chance to it's a el terrible moment from the goalkeeper and if that doesn't encapsulate Mark gu and his performances so far in a Chelsea sh in terms of the Endeavor I mean the closing down he's done that on three or four occasions since he's come to the club and he gets his luck there for his hard work that he deserves but then he just seemed to lose his osure I think he wants it so badly you could tell he just tensed up at the vital moment he didn't catch that initial one and then it's just Panic he's just frantically trying to redeem for that initial poor effort goes down referee thought about giving a free kick then changed his mind here's Jorgenson cool as you like under pressure from K
