the NFL owner say approved on the new kickoff rule in the NFL find out what the NFL new kickoff rule is right now the 49 news24 show hope you guys new to this channel subscribe like the video and let's go right into it it is game day 49 [Music] news24 [Music] this is what the NFL hybrid kickoff rule looks like the ball has to be returned if it's kicked into the landing Zone if the ball is kicked short of the landing zone or out of bounds it will be placed on the 40 yd line it is not the 25 yd line where it is now the 40 yd line that is almost half of the field being taken if it is a Touchback or if the ball goes out of bounds the ball can still be returned if it Rose into the end zone or kicked to the end zone through the air this is per the athletic so that is a big rule right there it's usually if it was Touchback before it was Touchback this season it would have been placed at the 25 yd line but now it is the 40 yard line that means NFL offenses needs to only go 60 yards if it is a Touchback but this is just don't look right to me if a 40 you start the 40 yard line is kind of crazy the NFL offense is scoring this year in the NFL is going to be all the way up it's going to be at a career high for the NFL a lot more scoring the defense is going to have a tougher time getting three and outs cuz the 40 yard line is crazy and the landing Zone we're going to see a lot of more big big kickoff returns now in the NFL and in the uh defense the I believe the people who's lined up 5 yards in the setup Zone they cannot move or they cannot move until the returner catches the ball and returns it so they have to the returner needs to catch the ball and he needs to be running before anyone can move they are only 5 yards apart injuries will be happening I don't in my opinion I don't really like the new NFL hybrid kickoff rule at all I know it's going to be uh a lot of big plays coming up big kickoff plays coming up but in my opin this do not look right this do not look right at all a Touchback is at the 40 yard line now is kind of crazy to me this is just not going to look right in my opinion so in my opinion I do not like the new NFL hybrid kickoff rule but now how will this affect Jake Moody these are 49er kicker Jake Moody kickoff stats from last season he kicked the ball off 90 times he had 54 Touchback and he had a 60% Touchback percentage in his rookie year as a San Francisco 49er so as you guys just heard the kick if it's a Touchback it will be at the 40 Y Line so Jake Moody now needs to learn how to not kick kick the ball into the back of the end zone a lot of 49 last season was screaming at Jake Moody for not letting uh for letting the other team return the ball on us just kicking back in the endzone a lot of people were saying but now if he does that that just gives the offense a shorter field 60 yards to go for the offense basically in my opinion they only need to go about 40 yards to 35 yards for a field goal if you're going against Ravens Justin terer he could nail a he can na a 55 he's a great kicker he can y a 55 so his offense only needs to go about 35 to 40 yards to be in field goal range already going to fect Jake Moody because he's going to need to not kick the ball in the back in the back of the end zone and not give the offensive short field the 49ers are actually one of three teams that actually voted against the new kickoff r c shanan and all the 49ers over there who was Voting did not want to see this rule get accepted the injuries I believe will be going up but yeah the 49ers I think it was the 49ers Packers Eagles and Raiders the teams that did not win this rule as the 49 special team last year was absolutely not the best at all the 49 special team L was actually one of the worst special teams the 49ers have had in a long time but the 49ers has in my opinion has always had a bad special teams so this new role for the 49ers might only might only be good for the kickoff returns as uh Debo Sam R came out saying he wants to be be the kickoff returner now but I think it's still going to be Ronnie Bell K was talking that Ronnie Bell is most likely going to be the kick returner next season comment down below what do you guys think about this new kickoff R I did a a poll on my Instagram 60% said they did not like or excuse me 80% said they not like this new kickoff Rule and 20% said they did so comment down below subscribe to the channel if you're new like the video you guys enjoy I'll see you guys in the next one
