Shirley Chung of Top Chef fame has revealed
her stage 4 tongue cancer diagnosis. Initially misdiagnosed as a dental problem, the cancer
was discovered in May and had spread to the lymph nodes. Chung chose to receive treatment
at the University of Chicago and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. She reported progress
with the tumor shrinking in her speech improving and remains hopeful for a full recovery.
