Intro yes Jordan Ben welcome to Bess ah thank you thank you for having me how does it feel to be joining the club it's awesome um you know it's uh just day one obviously a bit of a different day since it's game day but um it's uh it's awesome to be here first day down how How was it to be here was it it was good um like I was saying it's game day so it's a bit different the guys are uh the guys are all getting ready for the game and um but pre uh pregame skate was good um Greg uh has been taking me around the dressing room and um you know it's really nice it's cool and you have a long journey how was it long journey it was it was good um you know the kids didn't sleep but uh uh when uh from Frankford to Stockholm they uh they started to sleep and started to scream so it was uh it was an interesting Journey but we're uh we're happy to be here and what's behind your Whats behind your decision decision to come to bef um you know I was talking to Greg a lot um Greg talked walked up the breus and and this in this city and um you know I thought uh I thought my time over in North America was uh was done and um I wanted to see the world and um no better way than to come to a team where I grew up with a guy Greg Scott and um you know to to a great team and a great franchise and um get a chance to win some hockey games it's uh it's it's an honor to be here and you've been talking Talks with the club with the club for a while we heard uh how has the talks been with you and the club uh really good um you know we've been casually talking over like the past year of of the idea of coming here and playing um you know but I I uh we stayed over in North America the last year just to uh you know the chance to be in the NHL still um but you know uh it was always in the back of my head that we wanted to come overseas and play some hockey when uh when uh when the time was right and uh the time was right now and uh this is the perfect Club to do it you you have over 10 years in the NHL can you tell us about your experience over there uh just a lot of fun uh a lot of hard work um definitely uh definitely been around the NHL for for many years and and I hope that uh bringing that experience here will help and you talk Relationship with Greg Scott about Greg Scot there uh can you Des describe your relationship between you guys uh a really good friend really good family friend um you know we grew up uh grew up in the same town we were probably like five minutes from each other from house to house so um you know he's been he's been a longtime friend him and his whole family and his older brother Bobby and my younger brother Jamie we uh we clicked pretty uh pretty quickly you know we played baseball we played hockey we we hung out after school and um you know we uh we have a lot of lot of family history there and uh he made it uh a real easy decision that this is the team I wanted to come play for and you've been trading with In good shape dallar stars during preseason how was that then are you in good shape yeah it was really good yeah I um me and my brother had a really good summer in Dallas um and then we uh we had pre camp and pre-season in in Dallas and um gotten uh three games there and uh just been working out and skating since then and um you know I love I love that side of the game as well it's uh it's uh something that needs to be done and it's something I enjoy so being in the gym is is actually quite a lot of fun to me now As a player would you describe yourself as a player uh simple uh you know I can I just uh I was saying earlier it's it's my job just to get the forwards to Puck and uh I think over the years I've done a pretty good job of that and I think I can bring that here and um you know it's um it's kind of like being a quarterback you you get the puck and you move it forward so um you know we want our forwards to skate and and do what they do so I just have to get them a get them a puck uh as fast as I can and here the club has a clear goal to reclaim their spot in the shl what do you think about about that challenge it's a a great challenge um I hope uh I'm here to to Win Hockey games first and foremost um you know there uh there's no point in playing sports if you just want to lose so um you know we're here I'm here and we're here to win um and so uh whatever it takes to do that we'll do it and what do you think Team about the team this year I mean look at their record it's pretty good so far um I'm just here to uh add another piece to the puzzle and um you know winning is uh winning is a lot of fun so if we can have a lot of fun we'll win some hockey games and finally how excited are you to be here really excited um you know it's uh it's a great opportunity a great new chapter in in my career and um my family is very excited to be here and welcome to vness thank you appreciate it
