After 21 years of marriage, actress Leah Remini files for Divorce from her husband Angelo.

what's going on Aces welcome back to the channel I hope that you guys are having an amazing weekend it's Labor Day weekend here in the US so everybody here in the United States I hope that you guys are relaxed enjoying that extra day off on Monday Leah remedy the actress from King of Queens she posted that after 28 years together and 21 years of marriage we have uh decided to file for divorce from her husband Angelo now this is really interesting because it comes right off the heels of JLo who you know has been her best friend for almost I think the same time or even before that they're they're both from New York and um they've been best friends for decades and Jennifer Lopez has recently filed for divorce from Ben Affleck for the second time and now Leah remedy is filing for divorce from her husband of 21 years and she says that they were together for 28 years wow it just makes me think about you know like judge matys his wife just filed for divorce after 39 years like Cat Williams was not playing when he was on Club Shay's couch with Shannon sharp and he said that 2024 is going to be the year of Revelation because I'm just like like that is a I mean it's it's sad to hear but I feel like 2024 is just revealing so much so many things um I'm going to read you guys what she put on Twitter Leah remedy says well here we are after 28 years together and 21 years of marriage we have decided to file for divorce this decision came after a lot of thought and care and as hard as divorce is we are approaching this with a positive outlook because we know it's what's best for us we are proud of how we have worked through this together yes we're sad and yes we've got some figuring out to do is we continue to move forward into our new normal together still in many ways and apart in some new ones but here's the thing we've been best friends for so many years we are still celebrating holidays together watching our favorite TV shows together and Gathering as a family so the big question why to put it simply we both changed as people do and we got used to playing roles that didn't fit us anymore H after a lot of effort and consideration we've decided to take this step which which reflects who we are today our bond is still strong it's just evolved into into something different we think a marriage that lasted this long and created so many beautiful memories especially raising our incredible daughter is something to celebrate from our perspective this marriage was a huge success and now we're looking forward to creating even more cherished moments just in a different way we want to be as transparent as we can be here because for years we've shared our marriage so publicly whether it was on our specials on VH one or our reality show which ran for two seasons on TLC I didn't know they had a reality show that's interesting okay we are sharing this unknown territory with you all as we take our first steps into this new stage of Our Lives publicly we would love for everyone to have more access to different kinds of relationship stories and not feel so isolated and navigating the changes that millions of couples make every year we hope our journey can inspire others to see that relationships whether they change or end aren't failures we keep sharing Snippets of Our Lives as we navigate this new chapter love Leah and Angelo well that's you know um that reminds me of what Monique Samuel said about her relationship with Chris and I touched a little bit about it in a video I made I know Katie was probably just trolling everybody but I thought you know it was really funny um and not not funny in a sense that you know I never want to see fames break up um but just her you know shooting her shot with Chris because that's that's just K's personality but going back to Leah and Angelo I feel like you know it's sad when you see people feel like they can't evolve with their partner right like people change and they grow um and that's just a facet of life but it always makes me sad to see couples site that as a reason for a breakup rather than a reason to grow closer like I think about um some couples who have just celebrated their anniversaries publicly like you know metham man and his wife I think they're they like 30 something years Grant Hill and Tama um you know they have really longlasting relationships and it's always refreshing to see couples that are able to you know navigate the storms of life together and a lot of people I've talked to um who have been in long lasting relationships and marriages or not even longl lasting because not that old but um at least you know like 10 or more years have said that those things bring them closer together once they're able to get on the other side of that whatever the storm is so I you know I applaud them for being so open and transparent they didn't have to do that um and I'm her statement is very mature because we've seen some divorces just be really nasty in public like you know porsh and Simons or Kim and Cy's nobody needs that um the fact that they can still you know co-parent together or still get together at family gatherings just speaks to their character and who they are not only as parents but as partners and as people so it does make me sad though because you know that's such a a huge chunk of your life if they were together 28 years and married 21 um see I don't know I've I've never been in that situation where I've had a relationship that was like over the span of decades um I'm hoping that I possibly will soon find my person and have that experience because in my mind I'm thinking unless it's something really significant or substantial after like 20 years we could just ride it out we need to go you know on a you know a hotel stay vacation Station or you know take a trip by yourself and collect yourself or whatever you know that's fine um everybody needs some you alone time I feel like a lot of people were saying they thought that um with the whole judge Mata situation since he was working so often that once he got in the house I think this was like from Bondi Blues commentary um she was speculating that once he was just in the house all the time his wife got sick of him and was like I can't take it anymore cuz he's usually out working most of the day I don't know but I I just I feel like um man like you just you hate to see it you know you want to root for couples to make it to you know their vow renewals and their golden anniversary and all that you like my grandparents were married until they both you know passed um and from what I hear they definitely had some um some interesting times throughout their Mar their Rocky marriage uh but they stayed together and again that's not for everyone though right um it's not a failure if you grow as people and you feel like you've Grown Apart as long as they're able to be mature about it still be respectful still raise their you know they have a daughter together raise their children um in a loving co-parenting situation then you have to do what's best for you life is short you know um but I just wanted to bring you guys that story I thought it was really interesting that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are divorcing for the second time and then now you know just a few weeks later Leah and Angelo are splitting after 20 plus years together so that's significant um we need to keep cat busy in 2025 pardon me wants to see him go back on Club sh Shay um I know Tyrese had just went on there and he was like oh you know my interview with Club Shay is going to do Cat Williams numbers and in my mind I'm thinking Tyrese um you know he gets on the internet often and I don't think that it's going to do Cat Williams numbers I haven't watched it myself but um I'm interested though like part of me is like we need to keep cat away from uh Shannon Sharp's couch in 2025 give us a little break because we're Co you know what I mean it really hasn't dissipated it's still here we're just we're you know four years out from the panty but it's just it's just been one thing after another after another after another in 2024 has been that girl like she has been that year that has just been She Came Out Swinging from January on and has not let up off of our necks we need to breathe a little bit so um if you know cat could be touring around that time January 2025 or whatever that would be great then the other side of me is like well if he does go back on Shannon Sharp's couch I'd be really interested to hear to hear what he has to say uh for 2025 hopefully all good things but I don't know it just see I feel like after the pandemic not only did the world change but things have just gotten increasingly just like Messier um but again you know going back to Leah and Angelo I wish them all the best um I hope that you know they're able to grow in involved as people you know hopefully find love again with you know maybe other people other new spouses um if that's what they want but just to find peace and joy and happiness again because life is short and raise their daughter and you know live a a wonderful life you guys let me know your
