hitting a high cut up against the wind pretty shot right down Broadway is going to get a short iron in his hand be able to go right after that hole so during playing three you saw Justin Thomas miss the Fairway at the eth now with Scotty Sheffer at three that's nothing more than a comfortable pitching wedge for him com com in just to the right going to need a kick left little feet over there but only a few feet but uh still going to have a nice look for three it's incredible how many good looks he has each and every round for birdie so true this green pitches quite a bit from back to front so this should go a little left also might go right in the dead center to 17 under par his average tour you see right there the seon on this line this needs to get down just a soft first bounce and he gets just that and that's kind of the steeper part one of the steeper parts of the slope in this course right into the up [Music] [Music] slope just trying to get it anywhere on the surface and have the ball stop for him yeah I don't think you want to take this flag on going and that one's Trucking here it's going to go over the back and that'll go away there back down the hill which he cannot see might have a sense of it doesn't look too bad does it I don't think this is anything he's worried about look better from that angle than the other angle to be honest really did bunker wasn't in his way he could take an aggressive little chip shot at it you just don't tip your head enough to him for his short game that pitch he played from long right was Exquisite and another one just like that so was that for this whole play very easy for the players today 16 birdies this on a similar line to Collins just a little bit right I think of where he wants it oh that pitch it right into the bank they're right next to each other as Scotty now out of an A+ rake job this ball should run out a good 15 to 20 ft when it lands Nice Shot what's an A+ rake job Terry for the day and for this nine holes and he shot 31 on the back yesterday five under I mean he started at 10 under yep and and through the eighth hole day two he's got it to 19 under point I think his footwork can tell you how hard he's swinging the more they move the hard swinging like that just pound it down the right side and that was a lower shot only 106 [Music] ft also an aggressive play and does stop as well he was asking that to go a little bit and Scotty didn't give an inch on that first nine see that sand in the greens there these new greens see just outside the right edge here keep the speed up every time there's an opening there isn't well shley and moraca they're racing to see who can get the better score to play with this man tomorrow right right right right bunker right you got to carry it over 295 yards it wasn't four right for cheff no that's a different t- shot settles right there in the Fairway and he did will it stay yeah below the hole the weight the break suspension of play doesn't matter beautifully shaped Freewood there right to left you see Mor kawa's ball how about this yesterday the field hit this Fairway 37% of the time over 50% today Bo takes a real rip at it it's on a very good line in terms of where the flag is was right at the flag yeah even that didn't run up Terry comes back settles in the boat there in front of the green the only two on the golf course last group he's got that little move Terry when he takes it back the club it goes outside causes the you know he cuts across a little bit little back that's just a mannerism I don't think that he even knows that he's doing that he does it a little bit on his full swing and and he used to do it like you said on 18 so many more guys hit the Fairway because they hit three with off the te and both of these guys hitting the Fairway on 18 both of them making pretty routine birdies and one to finish up for number one coming in you went into today was it any different than you started yesterday uh no no I got a few better starts then yesterday so that was good um yeah I played another what I felt like was pretty solid round of golf you fit the most Greens in the most Fairways you feel like anything in your ball striking or your swing is working especially well hitting a lot of Fairways hitting a lot of greens you know just swing wise no no I feel like my swing's in a good spot I've hit it nice last couple days really feel like I've hit a lot of lips on the greens been hitting a lot of quality putts I mean today the putts that did not go in did not um a lot of them did not miss the C by very much so a lot of quality stuff out there um and yeah in a good spot uh going in the weekend that was a really nice reboot after the rain toay what uh uh how do you get restarted like that and just just get going right off the bat um just try to get a little bit of rest you know you never really know how long those things are going to go but fortunately we were able to get out pretty fast and um it looks like the weather we might be getting some more weather tomorrow and Sunday so maybe getting mentally prepared for a few more of those delays did you uh did you feel you know push by Colin and and Xander even though Xander was behind you but did you feel that little bit of pressure that they were coming after you a little um I mean it's the second round of a tournament you know it's like it's second round you know I mean there's it's a long tournament um just trying to do my best to to sit stay out there and execute shots and today I did a pretty good job of that is it weird on the second round of a tournament to look at a board and see you up by six cuz that doesn't happen every week no it yeah probably we'll definitely uh not have any more seven shot leads after is that it was seven wasn't it yeah yeah I'm sure you guys made a really huge deal of that but really it's just a it's just a product of me having a good day and the guys behind me on the leaderboard there wasn't a lot of guys there to start the day and those you know three guys there didn't have their best stuff and then today was a day where there was I had a big lead you know um but there was a huge group of guys right there um and so obviously some guys are going to play pretty well but I did a good job of you know staying in my own world out there and uh put up a good a good round of golf we put an asteris next to it if that helps I I hope you did yeah Tor size large Aster statistically that this is your best back toback rounds putting wise on this golf course is there a comfort level maybe now that wasn't there before well I think I mean it's literally it's a completely different Golf Course than it was the last this is I think this is my fifth year here yeah um I mean it's it's the same routing it's I it's literally not the same golf course it's completely different um some of the shots off the T still shape the same but the bunkers are in different positions the greens are totally different I mean it's a new golf course that we're all kind of learn on the Fly what's the longest Club you hit into a par four um it's got to be number one I would think a seven iron that was a good one too I hit about six Paces left of the hole and I had a 40 yard chip from the up against the collar yeah it's a good hole just one of those things it's like I I see the ball flying left of the pin and you're just hoping it's going to catch the other side of the mountain it hits the left side and starts rolling you're like okay guess I'm screwed it's good put yeah great it was a awesome car that one of the best up and downs I've had in a while really that was a how big is that when you make I don't know what that was 18 20 ft to start start around I mean great way to start today really you know it's I'm sitting there in the Fairway hoping to get a a decent look at birdie But ultimately stand on number one you're just trying to make it four I mean it's a it's a pretty hard hole like I said you can land in the middle of the green and end up you know off into a pretty tough spot so um you did yeah I did and then I recovered from it nicely which was a great great way to start today thank you
