New Sonic Movie 3 Trailer Breakdown + Every Easter Egg (Amy, Chao Garden & More)

now that the trailer is finally here it's time to break it down hey what's up everyone it's me spe bring guys another video and that's right like I told you guys we are back for our Sonic movie 3 trailer breakdown this is the breakdown that you're going to need we're going to be going through every little piece of this trailer going to be breaking down every single frame going over all the stuff you miss Easter eggs plot details stuff that we can infer theorize and also talking about a couple fan theories that have been floating around that we're either going to to confirm or debunk in relation to some characters that might be announced or unannounced whole bunch of stuff some really cool stuff we're going to be going over so without any further Ado let's dive into how the trailer first begins Sonic is running through a forest which I assume is going to be in Green Hills somewhere around his house but it seems that Knuckles and Tails the shots here there looks to be some kind of tropical area something a little like that I don't know if that's entirely the case this could also be Green Hills but I'm getting the feeling this is a different location as they're all three together and seemingly up to some thing we then see them in London which is interesting we knew that they were filming there but we didn't know that there was actually going to be a part of the movie taking place in London so that's very interesting this movie is clearly going to be taking place all over the world as we'll soon see there are a bunch of other iconic locations but I'm very happy because it seems like during this entire movie Sonic Tales and Knuckles are going to be together the entire time which is amazing to hear and see is their dynamic as a trio is very intriguing and I loved the taste that we got of it at the end of Sonic movie 2 and I want to see what they get up to in London this could be a mission that they're on as we'll see later there is some Ties That Sonic now has to the US government that sounds that's a very crazy sentence now that I say it Joe Biden is is giving Sonic orders and over that Tom's talking about how it doesn't always been easy for Sonic but he stayed true to who he is in here where he points towards Sonic's chest and Sonic makes a little joke about it being his lung they seem to be in the cave where Sonic grew up in as he lifts up some leaves to reveal this painting or whatever you call that of Sonic and longclaw who still clearly holds a place in Sonic's heart all these years later it appears that there's still some stuff inside of that cave which is interesting why they're there what they're doing there maybe Sonic needs some motivation maybe Sonic's going through something and Tom sees him there we'll see what happens but it seems that there is still stuff there so maybe it's somewhere where Sonic retreats to to be alone for a bit we'll have to see but interesting that they're back inside of Sonic's old cave Sonic continues to then run through Green Hills doing a little grinding on the tree that sounds crazy I'm sorry cut two prison Island will it actually be called prison island in the movie we'll have to wait and see but regardless that's what this is being inspired by from the game so I'm just going to call it that where of course Shadow is being held gun of course was the ones who picked up on this at the end credits of Sonic movie 2 so as you can see on the back of the jackets they are there Awakening Shadow seemingly doing something with him it looks much different than it did at the end of Sonic movie 2 but that should be expected kind of the same way that Tails appearance change from the end of Sonic movie 1 to Sonic movie 2 we'll also point out some of the differences in Shadows features once when we get to Shadow but Olive Garden guy don't ask me to say his real name is telling Sonic and friends about a highle security breach inside of somewhere very interesting where we'll get to later as we see Shadow break out of his capsule which looks absolutely amazing he's engulfed in water and all this stuff it's so sick he continues to say that they need Sonic's help in order to take down this threat we see them use the ring as a portal to get from seemingly I'm assuming Green Hills to Tokyo by the way wet Shadow Perfection love it he then continues to talk about Shadow in his story comparison to Sonic and how they kind of contrast each other which I think is going to be one of the most interesting if not the most interesting story aspect of this movie and that is their Stark difference in how they grew up both coming from immense loss from their childhoods or early years and Sonic was able to find friends and a family and happiness Shadow only was able to find darkness and loss as we see this amazing shot of Maria and him putting their hands against each other which is so freaking cool him looking at himself in this broken glass which I believe is a scene that could take place at the end of the movie where he gets back on the ark and reminisces and looks through everything that's what I think that shots from and then the next shot where it seems to be Shadow and Gerald I want to believe maybe looking over the dead body of Maria something there not entirely sure just yet it's obviously very dark but something that these two shots Not only was that a great part of the trailer maybe my favorite part of the trailer but it highlights how beautiful this movie looks I think visually this is the most visually appealing stunning Sonic film we've had thus far in terms of its cinematography the lighting is significantly better than it was in the past two films I think Sonic movie 2 suffered from Gray blank Sky whereas this movie you know it takes place a lot at night seemingly so there's a lot of more opportunity for really good lighting usage and we see like texture on the characters and stuff it looks great and just the shock composition as a whole is so good we see Team sonic hop out of a helicopter which maybe could be a call back to sa 2 not entirely sure of course if that's what they're going for maybe it'll be something a little different later on but nonetheless very cool as they land in the streets of Tokyo not sure exactly where it is I'm not that much of a Weeoo we see Shadow emerge from this Burning Fire sitting on top of this car as knuckles remarks that this is a much more impressive Hedgehog than the last one he went against where we get the little joke about Sonic being right there so cool and then we get our first taste at Shadow's voice who's of course voiced by Keanu Reeves himself you're a colorful bunch he sounds perfect he sounds amazing as I think we all assumed he would sound this of course has been a massive Fan cast for Shadow since Sonic movies were announced K Reeves has always been the go-to guy I know some people tossed out Robert Patterson and a few other names including myself but I'm so glad they got Keanu I think he's going to do such a great job Sonic remarks that he doesn't want to fight Shadow but Knuckles of course wants to fight where we get this bit of Shadow just destroying Knuckles and just flicking him into the air he then attacks Tails which continues this amazing trend of Shadow just destroying tails and all of these different pieces of Sonic media and then of course taking down Sonic himself as we can see a bit of his Chaos Control I'm not sure if they're going to make that a power of solely Shadow to where he can just simply do that or if they're going to make it a kind of chaos ability that is you know enacted by Chaos Emeralds we'll have to wait and see but regardless still very cool also it should be noted that it doesn't seem Chaos Emeralds play any role in the trailer just yet I believe they're going to have some kind of role in the movie itself if we're going to get a supersonic Super Shadow final battle in the sky and space and the colony Arc and everything like that but so far in this trailer no word on chaos wordss or anything like that we'll have to wait and see we see this giant ship emerged from the London Bridge now this can definitely be the space colon Arc we'll have to wait and see it's not necessarily that massive but if I had to be a betting man I say that it's going to be the space Colony Arc where of course Shadow grew up on we then see Shadow skating on the water with his hover shoes which looks so sick I'm going to assume this is him breaking out of prison Island where we then see him just take down a bunch of gun agents which is so cool where then Tom screams Sonic now something I first picked up on when I watched this trailer is that Tom is wearing a particular outfit here and it seems that he's now a member of gun you you see the word Guardian on the top of his badge right there on his shoulder so with him being a cop and having all of these ties to Sonic it seems that the government was very interested in recruiting him to have some kind of influence at gun so it seems like this was a way of having Tom have a more increased role in this film than the past two even which might sound crazy because of how much he was in Sonic movie 1 but yeah I'm glad we're getting a lot more Tom in this movie seemingly we then get this sick shot of Shadow which is amazing obviously it's was used as the thumbnail for the trailer for a reason and then we get this shot of a black hole being created by Shadow we'll see how that works what the purpose of this is but we see Sonic and friends tied up a lot of people think that Amy is down there tied up with Sonic and tailes but I don't think that's the case I'm pretty positive that this is Eggman if Amy was in the movie one I think they would have probably dropped that in the trailer more prevalently instead of just hiding her in a particular shot yeah I I I think that is just Knuckles is seemingly like we talked about it's just going to be Sonic Tales and Knuckles together throughout the entire movie so I hate to to crush your Amy hopes as I saw so many people talk about was that is Amy in the trailer it's Knuckles just wanted to put that out there Sonic then says as crazy as it is they might need you know who which is of course dror Eggman we see this giant crab meat I'm just going to call it bad it come out of the water which is so cool as we see agent Stone right there in front on a motorcycle Tails this it's a bad idea but you know Sonic calls the shots here and then we see Eggman played by none other than Jim Carrey and this is of course the same description that we got from cinemacon when they showed footage there months ago about how is he just disheveled and has lost him s he's put on weight he's grown his hair out all of that so they talk about how they need his help and his one condition is that Sonic just gives him one of his quills which he decides to lick I don't know if that actually does anything for him or if it's just a fetish but you know he's in now he then gets a beautiful haircut and he says that instead of ruling the world he can just save it he then strips agent Stone of his clothes which I know there's going to be a lot of of of shipping art of that I I can I can sense it we see Sonic and Eggman emerge out of a ring portal and then some sick shots of shadow where he says when we're done there won't be anything left we get some shots of him on his bike going against Sonic which is so cool we then get the shot of Tails flying with seemingly Knuckles behind him which is on the space Colony Ark I'm assuming that's going to be the tail end of the movie and then these are the shots that have been driving a lot of Sonic fans insane in the best way and that's because Sonic Tails Knuckles and Olive Garden guys seem to be had some kind of chow Garden chuckecheese esque restaurant you can see these people in these Chow mascot costumes which is so cool like if you're going do fan service I think that's fan service done very Tastefully and I think that is so sick I love that they're doing that and then one of the most intriguing line deliveries from the trailer Sonic asks Shadow what he did and he says he did what he had to so we'll have to see what shadow did he could have ended someone's life he could have done something really bad that is an inconvenience to Sonic and will make saving the day harder we'll see but yeah it's very exciting stuff that is happening there and the shot of shadow where he says I did what needed to be done looks so freaking cool just anything with the rain the way they play with Shadow and his darkness is just so freaking cool we then get the shot of Shadow which has been driving a lot of anime fans crazy because it was of course a call back to Akira we heard a lot of talk from the cinemacon footage that released months ago that there would be a lot of anime influence not just the shot but the fight choreography and everything like that so that's what we're seeing right here and then Sonic and Shadow charge at each other in the sky as he jumps off his motorcycle now when we heard about this initially it was said that the movie would be taking place in New York or that this fight in particular would be taking place in New York that does not seem to be the case it seems that the description got it a little wrong wrong City it's Tokyo not New York so that seems to be what's going on there but then we get the title and then the the end little teas which shows that Dr Robotnik isn't the only Robotnik and that Gerald is back and played by Jim Cary himself of course in the game universe or other pieces of Sonic media where Gerald is Fe featured he is long dead once when we get to this point in the Sonic story with Shadow and Sonic you know going head to-head he was I think uh killed by the government here he is alive we'll see what role he plays clearly he's shocked to see him so we'll see how it goes down how all of that works out but nonetheless I am so freaking excited for this movie this was an amazing amazing trailer this is of course like the first real taste of marketing we've had for this movie there's still more trailers more news more stuff coming out for this film that will have to look forward to but nonetheless it was so much fun breaking down that trailer going over all of the different stuff and all the stuff that you might have missed some stuff that needed to be clarified all of that you guys know I got you but this is where I pass it off to
