welcome to this week's edition of watch Young wisdom we're out here on the practice range and today we're going to talk about a drill that's going to help those of us that you know slice the ball so this drill was a favorite of pay Stewarts 1999 US Open Champion you know he he really liked to draw the ball he liked to see it curve right to left so what he would do he would take you know a a shaft from an iron or a wedge and stuff it in the ground at about a 45° angle you know today we have an alignment Rod you can use an alignment Rod driveway stick that you get at Home Depot or you know a shaft from a club so what he liked is this would help him visualize kind of coming and attacking the ball from the inside you know to create that that right to left curve of the golf ball so he he did not like you know he' get Steep and on top of it here and he would hit the the shaft or the alignment Rod so a good way to do this you get into your good golf setup kind of do a little rehearsal feel where that club needs to come from and start with some slower speed swings and this is really going to help you come more from the inside encourage a little bit more of a draw pattern with your shots for those who already draw the golf ball this might not be for you you know this could cause you to overdraw this is more for the player that tends to come over the top very Steep and hits big high slices so you know next time you're out practicing give this drill a try it's great to you know fine-tune your draw or to encourage more of a draw pattern for those who already slic it hope this helps look forward to seeing youall soon
