TJ Hockenson Listed as a "Fantasy Sleeper" by The Athletic 🔥🔥🔥

[Music] what's going on jeromes TJ hackinson is a top three tight end in the league and he's not three uh when fully healthy and last year hackinson was on Pace for a 101,000 season and you know he he is one of the best tight ends in the game uh qu absolutely pulled off a heist uh in the trade with the Lions uh getting him to be moved in division and he is a a very important part of the Vikings uh triumphant passing game moving forward and it's just really unfortunate just really unfortunate that Hockinson amazing career season last year was cut short by D kby Joseph as well as it's going to be impacting his availability to start this season uh even though you know now the Hockinson got more free time like now he's like inventing things like he's basically Steve Jobs I still have issues where well that that goes without saying but uh so the Vikings Entertainment Network their in-house social team has been phenomenal this year but the schedule release which is weird because the Vikings last year schedule release with the drones was amazing and then now they just had hey who who's around the building hackinson you're limping around hey be Steve Jobs and then we'll just release the schedule I mean the schedule release is social media teams Super Bowl I don't get it I don't get it man anyways but uh long story longer TJ hackinson he may miss some time this year uh but fantasy football of course is creeping up that's right the game within the game and Hockinson I I feel like he's going to be contributing a lot more than people think and uh Jacob Robinson over at the athletic thinks so as well listing him as a fantasy sleeper T.J Hockinson I know social media docs believe he could miss half the season but hear me out despite missing two and a half games last year he finished fourth among fantasy tight ends uh even half a season of Hockinson plus a mediocre backup is better than Cowboys T Jake Ferguson uh just the Cowboys always catching Strays rightfully so who was currently being drafted earlier until Haw Hawks back grabb an upside backup like New England's Hunter Henry and you're looking at last year's fantasy stats like even though hackinson missed a couple of games uh at the end even though you know week 18 doesn't really count uh but hackinson still clocked in with 219 fantasy points right behind uh Travis Kelce and you ahead of guys like KD and joku Trey McBride who I think is going to be rising up uh you know very precipitously uh and Al it's so funny yeah KY pits I I think Kyle Pitts may take a bump up but all would it be funny if like Kyle pittz is even worse with Kurt's cousins I don't know but I it's so annoying like I always grab tesam Hill on the off chance that he'll play some quarterback but it's so annoying anyways but yeah hackinson you know behind only Kelce Evan Ingram had a boom season and uh sling and slam leaport whatever what whatever in terms of Hawkeye tight ends leaport is far behind T.J hackinson in terms of what I can tolerate that's all man uh and as he alluded to you know hackinson right now uh is going adp1 uh in terms of tight ends uh number 112 uh was it 112 yeah 112 overall uh ADP 11 and a half so right in line with Brock Bowers now even though Bowers is a beast I I think that quarterback uncertainty with the Raiders as well as I mean lores and aside there always seems to be a pretty significant jump from college football to the NFL for tight ends in terms of putting out fantasy stats I don't know what it is but no uh but uh Fantasy Draft so far leapor one Kelce 2 try McBride like I said is going to be really rising up this year number three uh Andrews uh four you got concade Pitts I I feel like the pits hype is a little bit much and also I don't think that Evan Ingram can replicate last year but like we said uh like uh the Athletics said behind Jake Ferguson which just seems weird doesn't it I mean because the tight position just really thins out quick and also uh you got Dallas Goddard going as ADP 13 uh he also of the the dirty Kirby Joseph lineage uh but I actually do think that hackinson I think he's going to be good in in fantasy this year and I think that he potentially could be a a League winner for you you uh and yes I mean League winners you always look at guys like Kyon Williams guys that you draft late or even pick up off of waivers that all of a sudden like Crush but hackinson is is a guy who I think is going to bring a lot of value uh at a position where which is a distinct competitive Advantage uh later on in the season in crunch time and into the playoffs so reasons why Hockinson will be solid fantasy this year so he's not going to return until he's 100% And you can take that to the bank and that's what Kevin mconnell likes to do with you know Brian o' with with Justin Jefferson and I I respect that about him where you're not just going to trot out a guy who's like 70% unless it's literally a playoff game or the Super Bowl like you're just not going to do that so you don't have to worry about hey hackinson is back week four do I start him or do I just monitor what's going on but once he's back he's back and it's clear is clear tight end one on the Vikings does doesn't matter what time or you know Josh Oliver The Blocking tight end or mon do like it's going to be a Hockinson show plus easy coverage underneath we got Jefferson we got Addison taking coverage away from you like you're just going to own the middle of the field also Kevin aon's usage of the tight end position and Hockinson in the past is you know makes you feel makes you feel good about things also you know darn and McCarthy you likely going to be looking uh for that safety blanket underneath which is going to be Hockinson over the middle plus the alleged alleged Vikings game script so everyone their mom predicting the Vikings to be bad so that means that they should be down that means they should be in catch-up mode and garbage time stats count the same as uh you know High leverage part of the game stats so yeah also shallowness of the tight end position it's kind of again it's kind of rough I I mean if you don't get one of the top guys like it's re it's it gets really tough streaming now what be glorious is say you do pick up a guy like Trey McBride and then you circle around and then you get Hockinson and in you know the later rounds you know rounds 8 n 10 so you can IR hackinson you know if your team has an IR spot and then all of a sudden you know when uh you know McBride is cooking M Kyler this year also with myin Harrison Jr all of a sudden Hockinson gets back you could play two tight ends or you can you know rotate through Whoever has the best matchup in your opinion and also if you take two premium tight ends out of the pool that just makes uh the the talent pool that much shallower that increases the competitive advantage of the position like I'm not going to lie like there there's been fantasy teams in the past where I've doubled down on tight end like I've randomly came away with like Kelsey and K or Mark Andrews and K just like F you I'm going to start one them in the flex that's what I do that is what I do because I feel like you wide receiver is so deep a at a certain level where if you feel just completely agnostic about a couple receivers completely equal uh about a codery of like 12 to 14 uh receivers just take the tight end just go that route man yeah and then also uh the final four or five games in doors so weeks 13 through 17 again if your fantasy league plays week 18 no uh but into the I mean in the thick thicc of the playoffs uh and end of the regular season so weeks 13 through 17 you're going to be indoors against the Cardinals Falcons Bears and Packers oh my so you know that definitely helps out you know the passing game and also hackinson you know maybe he's got a little bit of ring us to start uh the year when he gets back but should be uh fully in the groove towards the end of the year and also the chemistry with darnold and or McCarthy uh will have synced up that much more so I think hackinson has a chance to be a legitimate League winner and he's a guy
