NKETIAH & LACROIX INBOUND!! CRYSTAL PALACE TRANSFER ANALYSIS

now I've got to say my hopes were high for Crystal Palace coming into this year after hitting the ground running with OE glasner at the beginning of 2024 the transfer business in the summer seemed to be you know pretty on point and if Crystal Palace could Compound on the success that they had last year they really could have taken the pem league by storm but for two games and is Neil Pua no points on the board for Crystal Palace they've lost Star Center back joki Anderson over to philm but they have signed from Arsenal Eddie and K and an arrow heads forward coming into this club might be just what they need to get this attack firing again so they can start to think about breaking into the top half of the table breaking into the top 10 but with some Whispers rumors of e g may be now sparking the interest in Liverpool it is going to be a nailbiter for Palace fans all the way to the deadline day as they still need some reinforcements in the video today we're going to look at the current standing of the palace Squad what's kind of been missing over the first two games and what Eddie and ktia should add in to the O glar puzzle here at any point in the video If you do laugh you just jump into it straight away and we have a look at Crystal palace's second game in the Premier League the last game they played at point of recording the first game post Jem Anderson we're quickly reminded about Mark gayi who could be on his way to Newcastle United and a move that would further compound the backwards slide and best 11 quality that Crystal Palace have had throughout this transfer window oddson Edward started this game kamada started the last and the Michael Lis void is a huge one that is still yet to be filled but one thing I would say that should give Crystal Palace fans a silver lining a glimmer of hope to this is that the crial shape and philosophy even in the absence of Lis Joi Merson and then let's see what happens with maybe Mark gayi or E which at this stage of the window attracting interest from the likes of Liverpool I don't think it bodess well because in this situation when your biggest and best players are getting picked off from you the best thing the best situation you can possibly be in is having a manager with a really strong and clear philosophy so then The Replacements that come in yeah they might not be eight out of 10 nine out of 10 players like oiss and E and gay and Anderson and whatever have been for Palace over the last six to six months plus depends on who we were talking about but you know they can come in and they should be able to do the job and then over time the idea is to get those guys back to that level and I do think you know whatever happens with E and Gaye will be pivotal to however we look at H Crystal palace's transfer window have they got stronger are they weaker can they actually break into the top 10 but if we kind of move aside from the stuff that let's see how th the defense actually gets cuz if gy was to walk out behind Anderson the back three is way for fin since recording this with here we go on Max laqua coming into the crystal palace defense to replace joki Anderson and a move that has definitely been in the rumor R for a little while we've spoken about this transfer already in the channel once or twice but this is a clear you know maybe not almost a like for like replacement I think Anderson's definitely got that range of passing but laqua will definitely be a capable Defender here and will definitely add into the the level of the best of living kind of back three that's required for this type of system like he's get great recovery pace for coming into these channels with any kind of Wingers kind of Pacey forwards as it were and when you're playing as part of a back three you know having a guy like him as I expect him to be the middle option of the three being like that old school sweeper almost you know where he can chase the ball down the channels and then the other two guys can behave as you know a pair in the middle of a back four almost if you can imagine and um you know it gives a a nice bit of balance obviously the mark gay stuff is obviously still up in the air as it stands at the moment and you hope that laqua coming in this swiftly is just an Anderson replacement it isn't a a foreshadowing of guy perhaps leaving and Riad still been required for the best 11 but I think this is definitely a positive sign and like I've been saying in this video before coming back to insert this little section on it like that's this is the kind of level that Palace should be adding into their their best 11 best 15 kind of P um makeup kind of overall picture here so this could be the first of a few dominoes I think that could fall for Palace but yeah Max H laqua into the center of Defense in that kind of sweeper role or you know like I think Richards is probably better on the right hand side laqua could maybe play here as well maybe if it was even gay and something else to Happ there's a lot of ways you can switch this around I suppose that this position of the back three is kind of interchangeable unless you do give it this kind of purpose and I do think that you know having that kind of just free runner to chase all the threats because the main threat you do face in this style of play and in the Premier League in general is the space leaving behind for the P players you know the ones that actually shred you up if you do go higher up the pitch and lose the ball the ones that will just exploit those channels because there the where the field back's positioned or the gap between any of the three center backs and having just that kind of willing Runner capable Runner the guy that's that's his job and whether it is left or right it feels like that's the optimal position for laqua and I think he does add a big thing onto this we've also seen Sam Johnson depart since we recorded last as well so he's on his way to wolves which maybe just you know I've not seen the fee around that one maybe add another couple of quit into the coffers but again the team you take that goalkeeper out I suppose it's inconsequential for the most part as long as Henderson's fit but yeah definitely like a minimum standard being maintained in this defense and laaz helping that best 11 caliber for sure the wide areas although the quality is there for the most part with Munoz and Mitchell again very very thin in Midfield it feels like there's just about enough balance there's just about enough bodies to just about get by unless the worst case scenario happened but in attack now that Andre IOU is left oddson Edward might be on his way out the door likewise whereever is this attacking department is seriously underman and that's why I think the transfer the signing of Eddie and ktia for me could be an absolute Master stroke for Crystal Palace because if again from my experience of watching Ole glasner his attacking fee that he wants of course a and oisi last year were absolutely Apex and JPM John Philip mateta obviously had a great kind of period of his career with Palace last year got him into that Olympic Squad and all the kind of heroics that came along with that for the most part but Mata you know that was definitely an outlier kind of situation for him and to only rely on him again this year I think would be Folly but ideally somebody like glar Crystal Palace in this sort of position that they're in as a squad any player that they're bringing in for signic can transfer fees le 30 million quid so should be some that can make the best 11 better now as much as when I think intia first comes in it will be Joselin for your position between him and mateta on form Fitness and availability because neither one of them have had lots of that in abundance throughout their career but if Ina can crack it you definitely lose a bit of the physical press that someone like Mata gives you but Ina feels much more of an arrowhead forward under Ole glasner for me he's much more of a penalty box finisher and he's a guy that you know Mata sometimes I don't want to say let you down but sometimes he's in some positions and we've seen this from his Palace career and previously in the Bundesliga where he will just get that nose bed you know and he will just you know make the wrong choice and ultimately it goes begging but I think Ina would be much more a tune and you'd probably get a much more consistent output of someday from Ina if he's get some like Mata pushing him for the spot as well maybe they will continue to rotate as the season goes on but for me I've been a big fan of Ina since kind of breaking through from Arsenal in the youth ranks into the senior team quite a young age and he's somebody that I've always thought if he went to a Crystal Palace if he went to like an upper midlevel Premier League team and was the star man was the main forward is a guy that could easily clip in you know in a best possible scenario 15 to 20 goals quite easily I don't think Mata I don't think Edward I don't think anyone really that's in these ranks at the moment has clearly shown that they have that potential at Crystal Palace but I think in K if he was to play the majority of games especially if a is in the building and he's running and he's traveling up the pitch and he's got some Kea kamada even someone like SAR could be coming into this for the pace as well on the break like if e was to go and this ended up being the Trident going forward you've got SAR for the pace to kind of replace the oisi kind of position and I know he's not really an alissi replacement he's not quite the same player but in terms of that speed and in that delivery that dribbling ability to make something out of nothing kamada to try and do some sort of replacement role for E if he wasn't to stay I think this could be a really good generation too you know it's not quite as good as e oisi and and then that Peak Mata that we had last year but I definitely think SAR kamada and Ina could be of a similar level score a comparable amount of goals and equally help Palace keep themselves in the Reckoning for breaking into the top 10 and maybe causing a bit of a surprise of course keeping as keeping gay is going to greatly inchant increase their chances of doing that because they've got so many exciting talents and players all around the squad but they need to start hitting the back of the net they need to start finding the new route to go in the post Michael alisi era and I definitely think Ina gives him another route to go gives him someone who is going to come in and really push Mata be really hungry and like I'm a big Edward fan I would like to think Edward could have done this job but Edward has the power has the pace but he doesn't really unfortunately seem to get a good rub of the green long enough in the Premier League without an injury happening or maybe just does go off the boil and maybe Palace maybe glasner just kind of had kind of you know they gave him enough chances maybe he moves on in this window but I think Mata and Ina could be a definitely a good number one number two or two number one kind of Strikers to rotate with but I think Ina has a distinct possibility to be a striker that could get 15 to 20 goals a year and kind of lift Palace up a level trying and replace some of those missing goals that have went let's see how kamada develops let's see if e and G gay hang around and equally like this Palace team once Ina comes in you've got two TI position here with him and mateta kamada and SAR are definitely in the Reckoning you've got to think in the absence of e they've got to go and probably replace him with two players another supplementary midfielder to kind of hold the fort here you probably need someone to actually come in that can play this position and then push the likes of kamada and SAR to be the best of and again Palace I don't think are going to be shy of money after selling oi and if e and oray were to leave but you're now looking at potentially another two Defenders being required now that Anderson's left as well chady rad is relatively you know new to the game didn't play much La Liga last season Chris Richards is fine but he's definitely not a oneman army and gay is clearly the best defender there and a lot beforehand when it was guen Anderson like this was a much better looking defense than what it is all of a sudden so Palace for me like really need to get their skates on we're talking about two Defenders and maybe two more midfielders coming into the picture if e was to leave if as stays maybe one more so we're talking about our three or four transfers I think the striker is a great addition but there's definitely some room for Palace to get their act together a little bit more having lost the first two games of the season I think it will be battle stations for the transfer department and they will be sking the market they will be going across European and World football looking for some more players just to kind of Boer the ranks and make sure that the ambitions they have can be realized can be you know put onto the table can be put onto the agenda with this huge financial H injection that they've had with the sale of alisi and an Anderson and maybe one or two more let's see how it shakes out from here but this could be an complete makeover for Crystal Palace if you know one or more player leaves they did bring in three or four the team could be quite unrecognizable quite quickly I don't think I'm quite giving up hope yet on Palace breaking into the top 10 are having quite a memorable season although they've got off to a pretty poor start but one thing I think that they need is on top of Ina another player or two that can be best 11 potential and really try and keep this squad moving in the direction that we've seen it finished last season
