Is Christian Mccaffrey still the BEST RUNNING BACK in the NFL?

football is back football is back football is back and because football is back we doing our top five segment I want to discuss who your top five and it can be your top five this is We're not gonna call you a hater if you decide that somebody is better than somebody else I guarantee you shout out GMO no but um top five running backs this this season um we'll start with Chris everybody just go around the room they don't have to be in no you know what put them in order okay um are we are we accounting for people who are injured or we just like every are we speculating everybody starting day one speculation going into 2024 who do you think G to be they hadn't played it down nobody we already know that but who do you think is gonna be the top five in running backs okay um number five uh call me a homer Jamir Gibbs he's he's gonna be him that's not I like that pick jir Gibb is gonna be uh number five um yeah number four uh Nick chub I mean really yes he not gonna miss no time no no no zo said speculating everybody pads up day one yeah but I don't think he gonna miss no time I think he's gonna be back he's bench pressing 500 pounds again I saw that that's crazy crazy so I got I got jir jir five Nick chub four um I'm GNA put Derek Henry at the three I think I think he takes just a small step back being new offense in Baltimore but uh he's still Derrick Henry so when he gets the ball he's still gonna be a problem yeah um I'm going to put sequin at two I think I think sequin has one a point to prove and two there's no way you you buy a Ferrari and don't drive it so I think they're going to tailor that offense a little bit to to accommodate Squan and you're going to see him be Squan of old again and then of course number one is CMC CMAC until he until he does different he is a problem and be problem yeah CMAC is CMAC is different all right who wanna go next I I mean I I I don't I don't think we all should do a top five but I do want to scrutinize Chris's top five right okay scrutinize is crazy yeah yeah I want to scrutinize a little bit uh Derek Henry in the top five listen I learned something a long time ago I do not pick Baltimore running backs yeah don't do it are you handicapping him because of that you think that that that that that brings him down significantly for I think for a couple of different reasons um one is look at the history they always get hurt they always get hurt and he rb2 right now on the depth chart that's and that's the other reason because Lamar is gonna have possibly 800 900 yards running the ball yeah and and then I and then I think uh bejan Robinson even even though they did something stupid with him in Atlanta last year they seen this dude was Unreal and then they started splitting his time with uh the the other um I don't think they gonna be that stupid this year they not you gotta you gotta you gotta you gotta save him you gotta split the carries you got to he's phenomenal you gotta keep him healthy that that kid listen man I I when The Pick happened we we came on the show and I questioned it because Tyler aler people forget his rookie season was right before that and he was a thousand yard rusher outstanding I told you but I told you I told you zo that dude is special he's different he he he's different so I don't I do think he'll be rb1 I think it'll still be by committee but they they gonna let Tyler run the ball but yeah bjn fantasy wise I think they're going to make this pick look like gold yeah because he's is the best thing he can do a lot yeah he can do dere with Derk Henry Derk Henry's yards might not be what they were in Tennessee but his yard you have to you gonna have to look at his yards per carry it will go up just because of the threat the threat of Lamar back there you have to play it honest and playing 240 pound honest that'll get you hurt yeah I like that I think war is gonna make a big step this year who who War uh yeah I think I think he'll uh surpass na Harris I think he I wri was on the wall last year for him surpassing Naj they gave the Lion Share towards the end and n it was different n was de he knows how to find first down like I don't like I Jonathan Taylor with the Colts that's sleep on that re emergence um Bree Hall is back that's that's my that's he's number two that's that's my number two listen bro that dude he even when he came back last year after injury you could see it it was still there you know what I mean fact he's Jacob in Green Bay I know he might split something with uh AJ Dylan if he's still there but uh uh Jacob in Green Bay he might be back and then my last one is um uh who uh Mixon in Houston he just went he just uh went over there so that's that's my sleeper is Joe Mixon because you're actually giving him a team that you don't have to there's so many more options of course like last year Cincinnati Cincinnati had a lot of options two years ago last year when Joe burrow got hurt it kind of you know what I'm saying it was kind of wavery and they they leaned on Joe Mixon a lot this year with that with that type of offense that they got down there man Joe Mixon gonna flourish free lunch I'm I'm give y I'm G give y'all two names real quick don't forget about etn and J and Jacksonville don't forget about yeah no no doubt and then uh don't forget about Hey listen y'all know I'm going here don't forget about and what hold on before before I just want to I just want to shed some light you expect a running back who is decent at pass catching decent at at navigating through through the traffic in the line to navigate through a team with no o line listen what I what I expect is for them to hand the ball off a lot of times to I I know they got these receivers I know they got this quarterback I know they got whatever they feel like they have in Chicago however that running back is going to especially start off early to uh to to help grow uh Caleb up yeah so so look PCO Hey listen I hate to say it PCO is will probably have a down year this year because uh they spreading that ball out in Kansas City ain't gonna be a whole lot of running know that I got I got a question for the Philly fan if I if I'm a fantasy Football manager and I got an opportunity to draft saquin broccoli do I still have to worry about him not getting his goal line touchdowns because of the uh tush push and Jaylen Herz goonna get it because I had Swift last year and I used to get pissed off they get to the one yard line and they wouldn't give it to Swift and they'd be doing freaking tush push for Jaylen Herz answer that question you asking me for real on this question like that's a real question right now yes first of all I don't play Fantasy that way so I don't care I just play I just want my team to win so I really don't care but I mean I don't know that's your decision I have no idea I don't know no I'm just say are we doing the touch at the one light line in Philly can I can I answer from the fantasy from the fantasy aspect for you Jason Kelce is gone that was the that was the key part of the tush push can I can I can that's who I want to hear from Cory it ain't about who's gone go ahead Cory can that either they didn't have part of this decision as well so but this is Philly Philly is a different town it's a different animal so if he if he if he if he presents himself within the first six games just like he did in La just like he did in Dallas so so that's that's not that's not the issue he's not going to present himself like that in the first six games look at how the cowboy is gonna be the last six finish how they finish it's not how you start cause Zeke would Zeke would come out with a whole bunch of yards at the beginning of the Season towards the end that could be thrown about 50 times a game he would be I'm just being honest with you I don't know I I don't have a lot of Kell Moore I I I mean he's he's inheriting a roster that is designed to win so I got to give him some credit for that like I think that they are in a good position people expected Philly to be in contention for the uh for in the NFC that's fair to say um so he's in Herer in a a a roster let's just hope he doesn't do what he did at every place he's been since he's been a coach let's just hope the trend ain't the trend right hope the trend ain't the trend his track record ain't good are we talking about the running backs or we gonna talk about Kell Mo which one is it the whole thing is is is Kell Moore is the one that's gonna give you a running back the ball Philly she's not having it committee you went got Christian mcaffrey you had Brian auk you you you you acting like you want to get rid of him so you go and draft Ricky Pio everybody that they brought into the organization what do they all have in common that was white there you go there you go George they are putting listen to they they are slowly but surely turned into the Dallas Mavericks of the NFL that is funny I'm telling you I'm telling you just look at it look at it the only person that's they had Tre Lance at quarterback that was like yeah yeah not good enough let's get let's give it to per let me ask you it Cory it's a lot easier to hide quarterback flaws than it is to hide a receivers flaws well the quarterback got to get him the ball and listen and and just watch how Brock pery plays the game everything that he completes is crossing routes it's over the middle it's something picked where he can complete the ball and they can run across the middle right or he'll lob the ball up to auk you watch Ricky peaw how he plays in Florida that's how he plays he drags across the middle catches passes and take offs up field yeah because his route running is not all of that it's not it's not that great you understand what I'm saying well parasol Ricky parasol right you talk about how great his footwork and all this stuff is but he struggles getting off the line at times he can't can he get because they brought in the best running back in the NFL you know what I'm saying but if you start to look at how the organization is starting to model things right I'm telling you that's what they that is what they're doing you said second best maybe would you what you say I think it depends on how look at it depends on how we look at it so I mean if you go off the last couple years yeah I would put them number one I think if you go off a pure pure talent and generational talent I I give them number two I will tell you this though I will tell you this if they lose auk that offense is different it looks different we got we got a couple receivers they can replace a you know they want Scott Mo he's out there uh cadarius Tony we we got we got a few guys we can talk hold on hold on hold on Jay included in that trade got to be bail money so I don't think they'll do it and what what what kills me though about we don't want but I'm just saying we got a few extra uh receivers we can get rid of at no charge I know we gota move on but real quick I what kills me about San FR fans they did the same thing with Debo just a couple years ago and you heard the fans saying we don't need them we don't need them uh because they wanted their money I'm like n you need you need them I think you def I would go to say they need uh Brandon more than they need Debo Brandon has showed that um he's Dependable he can stay on the field and he because the moment Debo gets hurt we see what that offense looks like you can have Brandon you can have Debo you can have Christian mcaffrey you still don't get a ring this is very true they had so I mean true and the moment you lose Debo and if you don't have auk on that team and you lose Debo prepare for CMC to be not that far behind because his usage rate is about to go all the way up car screen passes screen passes and and and runs up the middle car they have to be really careful about how they play the situation with auk like I I mean I to me I think it's a no-brainer that you sign him right because you need him like he he he brings a level of play that you don't really have like Debo is not that type of guy he's a really good screen guy he takes some little short passes he Hees you thatat player you can line him up in the back field but is a wide receiver he is a wide receiver with the full rout Tre with a full rry at his disposal soft hands PA you know what I'm saying good footwork like he he he's a wide receiver like he is the perfect compliment to that offense when you have a running back like CMC you got another receiver Swiss army knife with Debo you got a Titan like KD and a who thrives in systems but if you take if you take auk out of that situation right it doesn't look the same it doesn't look the same it doesn't look the same at all it's like you pull that one thread off the shirt and then now you got a halter top yep yep I don't and I've never that's never happened to me Chris and let's move on to
