matchup fits the visiting Eagles of Woodland Community College against your DVC Vikings the Vikings are 1 and0 on the season following their six nothing opening day win at DEA a week ago the Eagles meanwhile have two matches under their belts in their programs inaugural season their 0 and2 having fallen to Future DVC opponents Santa Rosa and shabbo without any further Ado here are today's host and commentator Joe hickey ready to bring you the home opener of the 202 for season as the Vikings welcome the freshly minted Woodland Community College Eagles program to Pleasant Hill coach Max Alvarez's Squad is Owen two having fallen to Santa Rosa and shabbo so they remain on the hunt for the first win in program history in their second visit to the East Bay in as many weeks we're going to take a look here at how the teams will be lining up to get things started and it's going to be for the Vikings one change from the lineup that won 60 one week ago today at DEA Denise Cora remains in goal your uh defense will feature Christal rhas on the left and Sophia Lopez roal on the right center back pairing of the captain Lily Underwood alongside kalista rubel your Midfield will consist of a will be a diamond Arrangement it's going to be Sierra Rosemont at the back of that K esas and Mickey Miyazaki the one new starter uh in on the left and right side respectively and uh up front in the diamond MAA Hicks she will be of course behind the two uh isolated Strikers here suhani Singh and and Casey tro the other Captain not so isolated now that I think about it given that there are in fact two of them uh as for Woodland you see Camille erens right there the expected lineup uh in front of her will feature cop Jennifer contras and smurlo in the defense Valeria contas garle terane and Ramirez as the Midfield Robinson urbina and Leon the expected starters here and we are underway in this very moment first match on the home grass here for the DVC Vikings and the ball starting in sophomore out of Clayton Valley Charter the Vikings have three women available by the way today on the bench Diana Ruiz Mila ninkovic who who was questionable coming into the day but has beaten an injury as this Ball's floated forward and headed Away by the center Defender the 18 y Ramirez claimed at the far sideline by Jennifer contas but unable to hold it in or excuse me rather aable to hold it in play briefly and then play it off of a Viking throw in going the way of Woodland starting to say though the three players available uh Ruiz who scored a goal late in the DEA game a banger from about 20 yards away milanovic who picked up an injury in that game but has beaten it dealing with a bit of quad and hip flexor issue as chrisel Ras claims the ball this one headed forward in the direction of suhani Singh against two Defenders tries to get herself turned now fires and it's going to carry wide of the frame first sign of intent first shot and the signal appears to be that it took a deflection on the way through and will be a corner kick the other player available Off the Bench today for Coach Mullins besid Ru and ninkovic Alina Rodriguez who also scored on debut seven days ago in copertino corner will be coming from cutle eskas at the right side outswinger with the right boot falling near the penalty dot headed on by the number four Mickey madaki forward now and public address duties alongside the playby play makes for a busy schedule DVC immediately in front Rosemont claiming her first tally ever as a viking she had one assist last season that coming in the finale against saak city as we have our first foul whistled against Woodland taken quickly by DVC on the free kick and it's on the foot of the 24 Hicks spray out wide left esus will have to chase it but does manage to hold it in play CLE right around the defender urina working her way towards the center she takes a shot from distance just barely wide the goal esas an assist in yesterday's game or last week's game rather on the quick strike goal that came 25 seconds after halftime when we left you then we were a little concerned about the cramps that she was experiencing that turned out to be nothing other than that of course cattle we have known up until uh this uh these last two games here to be wearing a rather large knee brace owing to an ACL surgery before she came to us so little bit another Runner leaking out of the left side in througho blocked away and here come Woodland the other [Music] direction looking to find Emily cop who appears to be playing up front despite being listed as a Defender we'll try and give you a sense of what their lineup is looking like as today's game progresses ball in the foot right now at the left sideline of Christel Rodas looking for the interplay there with CLE Christel the left back all the way up to the corner flag earns the line here comes a hard cross in that's going to flash across the sixy box and find Miyazaki squaring up looking for sing and Camille erens manages to stop that one second save so far for erens appear to have a 532 right now being run by Woodland cop at the moment a bit isolated up top as a striker the other forward right now is struggling physically and has gone down at about uh 15 yards shy of the Midfield stripe I believe we will have a substitution in just a moment was the number three Samantha urina and she'll be replaced in short order by Jade zurlo entering the match for the Eagles number 17 Jade zuro may have gotten the wind knocked out of her we'll see if that's a like for likee swap or if they're going to go with just a single player up top as we continue the moment a little bit further advaned we have Balia Leon alongside Hannah Robinson scorer of the only goal so far in Woodland history she's got the ball on her foot right now and is spraying it out to the newly inserted Jade Mero stumbling over it is Christel Ras but kalista rubel taking care of her left back taking the ball away now Mino tetan drills this one deep up the right side that by the way somewhat the way that Woodland scored their one goal so far this season in a 9-1 loss to Santa Rosa Junior College trying to play it here through Sierra Rosemont under a lot of pressure pressure from cof loses the ball and hits the deck that is going to be a foul whistled by our Center official Ena Petron it'll be kalista Rubble to take this we were starting to say though it does seem to be as a cough now drops a little bit deeper and leaves Valeria conteras up front very flexible stuff it's DVC right now showing their Arena Petron before Francisco Franco on this sideline as the ball is nudged forward and there was a handball before that uh rip from distance looked down thought I had a little bit of safety here but its first official season the program was founded and expected to compete last year but was unable to get the numbers up forced to Forfeit that first year ball forward tipped by MAA Hicks drop now back to the defenses DBC prepare their first substitution it will be the number eight m ninkovic before too long ball up ahead sing drops it back for Rosemont rattling around as she does battle with the 17's Mero now out to the left side to DVC 17 esas steps around a Defender leaves it for Rodas cross in the air touch to Brown Hicks over the top of the crossbar maila briefly looked like she might have gotten just the right contact and loop on that one entering for the Vikings number eight Milla ninkovic and apologies to mil by the way the Freshman out of Los lus she was in the game briefly before the injury she picked up uh to her quad and hip flexer uh I believe I pronounced her name wrong twice the first two times I think I got it right after that but I went and listened back very stressful beginning to the match seven days ago goal kick chested down by sing leaves it for througho shows too much of that to the center defense clearance only as far as Sierra Rosemont in the center circle she will drop it back to Sophia Lopez roal Sophia by the way who's got her Littles in the house Sophia coaching now at Walnut Creek surf her 20156 team here and we're going to make a little announcement to welcome them at halime of today's encounter right now it is Sophia working her way up the right side her cross cleared away ninkovic the newly inserted player will drop this back now as she fits into the right back roll and let Sophia roam even further forward Rosemont sprays left to rhas rhas to the feet of esas nice touch around a Defender to give it to cristel ball cleared may have been a handball it looked like Sophia might have been signaling that but nothing given Sophia long drive forward that'll take one hop to the hands of Camille erens take a quick look by the by at how last game went at the next stoppage in play but we've alluded to some of the things that have gone on here as a battle breaks out between ninkovic and Valeria contas the captain here at this near sideline looks like Samantha urina will be ready to return to the game in just a [Music] moment good to see nothing more than a knock and perhaps getting the knocked out of her she'll be back in the game before long DBC meanwhile looking to attack ball forward here for suhan Singh on the left side of the Box her shot is blocked popped up in the air by through hio and claimed by Camille erens glad to see here yet again on the YouTube chat that we've got Brendan Bush Sierra roseman's biggest fan on hand to see her first Collegiate goal that coming in the fourth minute we are now of course a quarter of an hour in DBC one Woodland nil if you're just joining us Rosemont has the ball off her foot that'll give time for the substitution as urina and Leon return to the match and we take a look at how game one of this season went for the green and white three goals per half suani sing with the hat trick the middle of those three goals very well constructed kesas with a phenomenal run up the left side and a beautiful layoff to the Penalty dot the one in the 80th a bit of a gift that was pretty much a goal kick that was right to her feet took two touches and beat the keeper the opener assisted by Christel Ras was a nice bit of buildup but goalkeeper really should have done better Casey througho a nutmeg on the left side leading to a missile for her first goal in green and white and Alina Rodriguez courtesy of a phenomenal buildup courtesy of Sophia Lopez roal and Mickey madaki that was early in Sophia's work on the uh from that uh right back position but she and Mickey combined very very well no surpris that they would start again today in that in those roles respectively as ninkovic at the moment appears to be the midfielder and Lopez roal the back Cara esas on the ball leaves this one for suhani [Music] sing go go go go go go go go go go go go go [Music] suhani doubles dbc's Advantage DVC goal fourth goal of the season for number nine suani sing DVC 2 Woodland nil we have had a call for the training staff to uh to come in as well as we'll take a quick look here and update a few Graphics so the trainer will be coming out and everybody's going to go for a water break in the meanwhile unclear as yet what it is that has induced this but enena ponok was pretty uh pretty careful about that so we will take a short break here suhani Singh putting up goal number two of today's game goal number four of her season as we take a look here at the scoring recap 2-nil DBC clock will continue to run at this point until to otherwise and we'll just add on some stoppage time if necessary and we'll take the opportunity to take you on a quick spin around the big eight conference which DVC will before too long be competing in that's going to be uh starting up excuse me in uh the beginning of October uh everybody in the conference now with at least one win to their names uh DBC and cumus River were the last teams to get started with the 6- nil win over DEA for the Vikes and the 4-1 win over Las pacitas for cumus River fulam Lake as well took out LPC so a all big eight week for the Hawks from Livermore Vikings will face them on September 27th fome as well with a win over Madera and a draw against Lake Tahoe Community College uh Sierra Modesto and Santa Rosa have started the season perfect Modesto two from two against the Vikings District mates losp Medanos and Evergreen Valley Santa Rosa three from three having beaten this Woodland team uh in their first program game also Yuba and Contra Costa on Friday Sierra have been uh dealing with teams from the Golden Valley but and Taft and have a pair of wins uh maybe the most surprising thing to see on here is sanen Delta at just 500 uh they have beaten but and ceritos but they started the season against two tough teams from Southern California and apparently ad Petron now saying this was for the trainers this is not coaching break so uh she has asked the teams to uh come on back out but Delta starting the season 0 and2 they are now uh two and two after those two wins over the weekend but on Friday and citos on Sunday uh American River College interestingly the 2-1 win over citos that just makes my head hurt to look at it uh and that's just because well I've been at this for a while uh 10 years today actually my H 100th game on the call for DVC women's soccer uh but ceritos I know them as the team that DVC faced in the State title game in which the the Falcons won their fifth consecutive state championship the idea that they're losing to a team in Arc that went under 500 last year is kind of Bonkers as suhani Singh takes the ball away back in the defense ticked away and it does look like it will go down as dbc's second corner kick 20 minutes gone as Diana Ruiz Paces back and forth waiting for her entry into the match no boun green no boun Casey througho has gone and fetched said ball in order to uh get ready to take the corner kick as it traveled over towards the trees behind Vikings field she will put this ball in is MAA Hicks is going to come off it does look like Miss Petron is allowing the substitution on a corner kick which is a little bit surprising to me MAA Hicks Out Diana Ruiz in all announce Diana after the corner kick as Miss ponok is ready for it to be taken through hiio with the hands up looping ball towards the near post headed Away by the 18 yahaya Ramirez and it'll be a third Vikings corner I'll take the opportunity into the game for the green and white number six Diana Ruiz camera taking the Long View it appears here so I was hoping for a little more of a closeup from this high angle we'll have to work with that first video stream with this as the ball's put in suhani Singh heads it along and at the far post cleared back behind by baleria Leon it'll be a fifth Corner this one coming or rather a fourth Corner this one coming from the opposite side ckas was lurking ready to try to bang that one home go let's be aggressive so the camera for those that are wondering if anybody wants to complain about hey follow the action it's not a person that's up that high uh it's an AI camera so the artificial for sure the intelligence may be a little lacking this one floating into the 18 chance for an olympico rolling around at the goal line and cleared away Kalisa rubel will chase it [Music] drop back into the center circle for Lopez Ral up the left side interesting header into the middle truo will put that on goal may have been thinking about trying to angle it perhaps very difficult to get enough heat on a header from that distance half of the first half gone as Lopez not able to completely handle that ball in the first attempt finally does ninkovic has it bang off of her Manny Ramirez style for a moment there and then manages to claim and hold drops that back to Lily Underwood Underwood somebody with a interesting job description this season tell you a little more about that in just a moment but the ball on the foot of rhas now over to the far left wing where esas is moving drops this all the way back to uh to Underwood rather into the 18 for suani Singh trying to find the top left corner with a header nothing doing and we appear to have lost our video feed maybe having some issues with the battery power so we're going to go into radio mode for the time being and get these two things off of here and I'm going to have to adjust that clock in just a moment to match things so likely we are going to be as a shot was played in and uh [Music] saved for those that were wondering how the clock is done uh clearly a video file and we're going to let it sit right here and get to where it needs to be and then we'll let her loose nope that's not right there we go oh almost almost ball rattling around sorry too many things to keep track of at once there we are okay we're back in sync throwin has been earned by the green and white the homestanding green and white obviously you need to be a bit more specific today as both teams are in uh that particular get up in one form or another Sophia Lopez roal at the Midfield stripe as I get ready to be a little more descriptive as we go along she's moving with Sierra Rosemont showing now throws this over the right wing for milanovic ninkovic dribbles a Defender reach is the by line puts in a hard cross towards the penalty dot cleared Away by the center back who at the moment is Val Valeria contas or perhaps more accurately know urina I think was the one that cleared that one away tough to tell urina and Conta seem to have licens to roam out there and so determining the exact formation has been a little bit of a of a tricky job Vikings back in control at the left sideline Ras Falls as she hoofs It Forward knocked down by tane now claimed by contas leaves that on the foot of Leon Leon two DVC Vikings on her dribbles it past the two of them and finds leaking out Samantha oina trying to feed the number 13 Brook Russo a sliding Challenge on the ball finally being sprayed out to the left side Sophia Lopez Ral puts the ball out for a throw for those just joining us 2-n DVC goals in the second minute by or excuse me fourth minute rather by Sierra Rosemont and the 17th by suhani Singh as we do have a player down again and it does seem to be Samantha urina for a second time and this time around she has rolled onto her back as she awaits the arrival of the training staff and we're going to take a timeout here to check on her condition we will see Jennifer contas come back in for urina as the trainers tend to the number three in white we will take a moment during the um during the start of the second half to or rather during the halftime break I should say to bring the camera back down and hopefully give you a sense or give you a view again of the action and again we're going to take a break for a drink and in fact uh while we have a pause we're going to kill the audio for just a moment clock continues to run here no one's asked us to stop it uh and we're going to see if we can get that camera back up and running for you uh in just a little bit I'll jump back on the microphone when the time comes but uh for just a moment stream's going to go e e play is resumed here as Samantha Rina has headed to the training table uh to receive attention uh we will not have video back before halftime unfortunately but uh we have repaired the issue with the power to the camera and so should be able to start a stream uh when we get back at any rate ball currently in Woodland's attacking half ball cleared off the foot of Leon briefly fell for terane now drilled Deep by the DVC Vikings defense into the right wing of the attack nobody moving into that space at the moment for the Vikings if it were hockey we'd call it icing ball up ahead for Hannah Robinson she loses it out the near sideline for a throw in last touched however by the Vikings and so it will go to Yasmin smurlo puts the ball in immediately taken away at the center strip by Casey througho she drops it back to Lily Underwood sprayed out to the left side chel Ras about 10 yard shy of the Midfield stripe pushes this into the flank for esas two of them say they have got a fantastic connection going on we've seen a lot of it so far here's a ball over the right side for ninkovic chess it Down Right edge of the Box puts in across to the far post knocked down by truo didn't get solid contact and coming through for the clear as YZ ball ahead now DVC back in control left for Diana Ruiz who scored from that spot in last week's game here comes a shot that one's going to pop up on erands and it's into the back of the net d make it 3-0 and that one is the first goal of the season and the second of her career for cutle esas excuse me I've got some work to do here DVC goal in minute number 31 of the boot of number 17 Carl esas [Music] Vikings three eagles n of course we'll have to author an apology to Cle for the fact that we do not have video of that first goal due to uh techn the technical issue has been a yanking of the power cable it came out of both ends the camera and the battery uh when the the camera was put up we reinstalled it in one SP but did not realize until just about kickoff that uh we had actually had it disconnect from the camera itself crossed our fingers hoped it would last until uh until the halftime break but only got us about halfway there so we'll reinstall that for the second half we're just about ready for that uh 13 minutes or thereabouts from now DVC in control leading 3-0 your goal scorers Rosemont in the fourth sing in the 17th esas in the 31st and now a ball on the foot and another opportunity here a shot that is knocked to the left side that one coming off the boot of Alina Rodriguez who has entered the game in the meanwhile the first save for the newly inserted goalkeeper I believe that is Mariah Orosco who was entered wearing a black top over white shorts and socks so new Keeper in after aens gives up that third goal ball right now for DVC on the foot of Diana Ruiz leaves that for Rodriguez stepping diagonally through a field of white jerseys manages to keep the ball on her foot leaves that for truo who tries to drag one towards the far post from the right side of the half moon that one ends up wide I think the substitutions came on the uh earlier goal so we'll go ahead and get those announced as well I believe they the last two players to get in out of the available Subs so we should be done with that after this into the game for the green and white number 27 Alina Rodriguez in goal now for Woodland number 26 Mariah Osco 12 minutes left in first half action DVC up three Ball lofted by Orosco touched immediately by ninkovic unable to settle it however and knocks it straight back over the back line throw in or rather goal kick to come here for Woodland go kick ends up settled at the Midfield striped by Ras ahead for esas who now tries to feed Alina Rodriguez up the left wing claimed instead by Jennifer contas she puts the ball out under the Big Oak Tree where we've got a decent Gathering of the DVC faithful generally speaking on a 96 degree day we look for shade and that tree provides a lot of it throw in towards the left side of the 18 yd box repelled by the Woodland defense and another throw in to come for the green and white upcoming games here DVC with a three-game road trip on the horizon following today's home opener play four of their first five games this season on the road as the ball's at the center circle on the foot of Lily Underwood they'll be at shabo four o'clock on Friday and Hayward they'll be down in aptus and in San Bruno visiting Cabrio and uh Skyline next week for a pair of Ries top left corner of the Box shot from distance is wide right that coming off the boot of the 17 kesas feeling herself a little bit after that earlier hard shot was popped up in the air by arons and got through the hands Micki Miaki getting ready to re-enter the match when the next opportunity arrives let goal kick coming and it looks like it'll be one of the center backs to take this number eight NAA garley or rather NAA garley receives it that was the 18 instead yayz back there battle between Hannah Robinson and Sierra Rosemond and Hannah Robinson wins that battle two blonde braids trailing behind her has it taken away and C esas as the Vikings after taking their picture for their first home game of the season uh together as a team before the game have gotten their coaches now uh a little photo up as they get ready for half number two a very Loos looking Group after those three goals go in for Singh uh that is her fourth so far of the season and Ninth as a viking but for Sierra Rosemont and C esas in particular uh a a lovely uh moment for both of them as they were able to celebrate their first goals in green and white uh the other thing we're celebrating right now is that we've got the camera back uh took a little bit of doing at the halftime break but at long last we are back up and running with that uh so we should be able to uh well show you video from this point forward we are hooked into battery power uh and uh of course along with that uh have all the graphics that I set up for today's game on the video version of DBC Vikings live uh so that I can tell you a little bit about our Around the Horn coverage as the DBC fall calendar has gotten well and truly uh underway we will wait for that though as the teams are in their pregame huddles getting ready to come back out here uh for the excitingly so far it has been women's volleyball uh getting off to a very quick start two and one on the season uh won six sets in a row at one point after coming from two sets down to knock off Las Posas uh they lost the first two sets 26 24 2522 and then proceeded to win the next two 25 23 and 2725 noting three of the five sets won by as little as you're allowed to two of them requiring more than the usual 25 to get it over with that forced a final race to 15 to decide the Victor in the game and that claimed by the green and white 1511 then they turned around went up to Shasta College and knocked off Yuba in the first of a try series three nothing in straight sets there uh before falling to their first defeat of the Season uh that coming against uh the hosts the Knights of Shasta couple stats to take note of here we've shown you danela Walker who at the moment leads the team in points kills and hitting percentage Nadia novichkova leading the team in digs and assists and Bel Dunka and Katherine Sova both very reliable receiving serves they together received 140 of the 206 serves uh so far this season and have had just nine total errors uh not too shabby there certainly getting most points off to a strong start they are next in action on September 11th as we are back in Action here uh that will be a home home try series and their home debut against mesino and Merced have a sub and perhaps a hydration break as folks are coming off the pitch here with uh a little over 20 minutes to go in our encounter it does look like we'll see Brook Russo back into the game on the other side of this break but we'll take the opportunity to tell you a little bit about what's going on elsewhere Women's Water Polo will be one of three DVC programs getting into action this weekend uh on particularly on Friday cross country and football as well have their debuts uh but Women's Water Polo will open their season at Questa College Invitational uh this coming weekend against a bunch of SoCal adversaries Fullerton Orange Coast Golden West Questa the hosts down in San Louis abiso uh and the Vikings home dates this season all Wednesdays in October the 2nd 9th 16th and 23rd before they host the big eight tournament from November 8th to the 10th men's water polo did get underway this past weekend and uh well Cory dol's men are going to be looking for a rebound those SoCal programs tend to be really really good and they certainly showed the Vikings that with a trio of defeats uh those coming at the hands of Mount sack Questa Citrus and Riverside down at the Merced north south tournament uh they have tournament play the next two weekends as well they'll be a little closer to home at West Valley College in Saratoga this weekend before heading up to Stockton for the Antilla tournament uh coming up in uh two weeks time break continuing here and uh as we mentioned hydration break the announcer is also going to partake why not and the official word from the referees here not to stop the clock so we will go ahead and let that run coming up later on this week as we mentioned cross country is at the Clovis Invitational as the whistle sounds and we'll be getting back underway in a moment's time Clovis Invitational for cross country that bright early on Friday morning 8:15 a.m. got to do it before it gets too warm down there in the Central Valley and about an hour or so later that'll be when Women's Water Polo get themselves underway in the first game of that Questa tournament and then that evening here on DBC Vikings live as well as here by which I mean like the field just behind where we are DVC football will begin the Jimmy Collins era with a match not a match they don't call them matches a game against Fresno City College that at 530 pm. of course you can watch Along on DVC Vikings live max agress will be on the call with you so Jimmy Collins if you weren't around last time around one of two new faces amongst the DVC coaching ranks he was he is uh moving over from City College of San Francisco to take over the DVC grid iron program and then in the spring Scott Wood will be starting as the new DVC softball coach and I'll just be moving off to that field you see on the left of your screen here comes a ball into the 18 Yard Box Zan Singh trying to set up toio at the edge of the six nothing doing good clearance here by Woodland but the ball back to the green and white esas forward for Thro rips off the crossbar after a touch and it stays out of the goal as a result here couple of spectacular stops here by the goalkeeper Mariah Orosco as she puts a boot through that seen her make a couple of reaction saves over the course of uh her time in the game after relieving Camille erens following the esus goal at the half hour mark came out briefly after the stop of eske's penalty probably felt like she got one back on cuddle at that point Osco certainly acquitting self well and uh mentioned before as well the 24 Jennifer cont excuse me the 12 rather the Jennifer Jennifer contas also having a phenomenal game in the defense there's a ball inside for esas leaves that for Sophia Sophia Orosco the stop down to two knees gets herself behind that another great save from the 26 Sophia Lopez roal got off to eight a really quick start last season had three goals one against Solano and two against shabbo but did not score again after September the 5th the Vikings hamstrung by the loss of Amy Alva for a good chunk of that season team was 43 and two with ala in the starting lineup 0 and 10 when she was either absent or a sub this season they've got Firepower from a bunch of different spots and suhani sing in particular here's tro KC througho go lasso we have been waiting for one of those off the boot of the number 10 in green Vikings make it 6 n [Music] goaso from Casey througho DVC 6 Woodland nil in minute number [Music] 75 so through hiio on the board as well in backto back games to get the season started and that was an absolute missile and we've seen how challenging it has been just the to try to beat Mariah Osco back there steel here in DVC have looked particularly quick in the aftermath of goals they have looked to attack immediately and try and go for that Bang Bang Casey througho though with the second goal of her season coming in minute number 75 as we recap the scorers Rosemont back in the fourth eskas in the 31st of course suhani Singh the hattick hero minute number 17 46 and 63 before through he's strike and yet again DVC sitting on a 6n score line here's Lily Underwood coming way up into the attack trying to put a ball forward DVC want to make sure they don't find themselves exposed here at the end after wood has left her position although MAA Hicks doing good work to stay back inside the center circle it's that cover pressure balance that is talked about in terms of the way that you play defense it's generally the uh the Mantra of Coach Colleen Mullins a lot of it does come down to the idea that if somebody does make a run up like that somebody else needs to be responsible for getting back Milan ninkovic doing a little bit of a hand toand combat there with Balia Leon needs to watch out a little slash out like that on the fourth foul could lead to a yellow card even if you are the one guil uh the one that was fouled on the play so Mila frustrated by that a bunch of substitutes getting ready to come in in a moment's time but first the free kick here for the green and white Sierra Rosemont standing over it 4-2 the foul count DBC 7 nil the corner count 6 n the count that matters on the board 17 nil the shots on goal Rosemont long ball driven towards the top of the sixy box ends up right into the belly of Orosco maybe two yards shorter and that would have absolutely swed panic in there you would have a goalkeeper one wondering do I come out do I let it bounce do I give anybody a chance do I get ready for a shot anything that promotes indecision is your friend in that situation eskas settles and brings it forward now for suhani Singh back to the foot of esas cross towards the far post coming in with the header goal seventh heaven and it's number seven Sophia Lopez Ral scoring in front of her Littles from Walnut Creek surf and DBC make it 7 nil Vikings goal number seven of the day from number seven on the field number seven Sophia Lopez Ral her first of the season in front of the Walnut Creek surf 20156 Littles Vikings 7 Eagles nil oh my that was a stellar cross from the top left corner there and Lopez AAL like an absolute missile with eyes only for that ball and a bullet header to the top left corner it's about as excited as I've seen the Vikings bench so far in this season that ball coming in minute number 78 and to some extent that one an important one for the green and white as one thing that you may be aware of here is it's one of the first chances that DVC have to measure themsel against an adversary that has been faced by one of their upcoming adversaries uh the second game of the season for Woodland was against shabbo down in Hayward the Gladiators won that game 7-n if you're the Vikings you kind of want to do at least that well to feel confident going into Friday's match up in Hayward another 11 minutes left in this one five Vikings have gotten on the score sheet and the last two of them have been real pretty through he's bullet from distance Sophia Lopez roal a guided missile on her way in for that that goal coming in minute number 78 Sophia's first of this season fourth of her DVC career wood on it up ahead here for Mila Hicks good work however by the nine erands and the two Captain Valeria contas to deny her the ball for a little while there DBC do start to make a little hay down the left side again though with find a goalkeeper earlier and that looked pretty good I don't know if the camera peeled all the way out far enough for you to see it at any rate DVC back in possession with eight minutes to go Hicks the 18 falling near the penalty dot Sierra had a chance to make it a bracketing and perhaps score the first and the last Mike had another chance that one popped to the right side and wide of the frame Eagles n one of the things we discussed here for for somebody who as we mentioned now has seven goals on the young season had five all of last year one against Alano one against DEA two against shabbo and one against saak City this year one of the big emphases for her was how do we get you as a better more clinical more efficient finisher and so far I'd say she's absolutely done that alinaa Rodriguez might have a chance to get on the score sheet for a second week running although that one popped up and I believe was handled might have been a foul might have been a handball a Jay tells me my 40th birthday I get to sit there with my good friend Cari Andra and comment more goals than a friend knew what to do with today it's eight on the board chrisell will take this one no rather Uh Wood stepping up slides that under a foot finds Alena Rodriguez trying to get turned as the defense collapses to her it's kind of wild given that it is 8- N I would say Woodland gave DVC more of a run for their money than DEA did Vikings have just finished a lot better the pressure on the ball has been much much Superior from these Eagles compared to what we saw last time out against the mountain lions
