Minnesota Lynx vs Los Angeles Sparks Picks and Predictions | WNBA Best Bets 7/9/24

hey everybody welcome into the wager talk TV YouTube channel I'm Tony Mahia from sportsmemo.com and we're going to be breaking down the only WNBA game on Tuesday as the Minnesota links visit the Los Angeles Sparks Links come in at 15 and six 16 and six if you count their Commissioners cup conquest of the New York Liberty and uh they are favored in this game by seven and a half points despite nefisa ker their star player and commissioner cup MVP probably not going to play in this game due to planner for shius uh she sat out this weekend's win over the Washington Mystics and head coach Cheryl reev says they're going to make sure that she's good for the Olympics because that's her dream uh they've got four games remaining including this one before the July 20th uh Team WNBA versus Team USA match up that is going to double as the WNBA All-Star game they want to have ker ramp up uh physically for that and then be good to go for the Paris games which open on July 26 so they'll take the cautious approach here I don't anticipate her playing but uh they snapped a two-game losing streak against the mystics winning 74-67 at Target Center on Saturday uh Minnesota had not lost consecutive games up until uh earlier this month and uh they were able to snap their first skid make sure it did not reach three three with a win they showed off their depth uh it was Courtney Williams with 17 points six rebounds and seven assists leading the way Caya McBride also scored 17 uh Dorca uats uh had 10 rebounds in replacing ker in the starting lineup Chi zandel laini added 10 in a start for her she's normally coming off the bench Diamond Miller played still working her way back from an early season injury so Minnesota when fully healthy with ker back they're going to be a threat to unseat the Las Vegas Aces for the WNBA title as things stand now um that 15- six Mark is the best in the Western Conference uh third overall behind the New York Liberty and Connecticut sun which are both 17 and four on the opposite end of the spectrum the LA Sparks come in at 5 and 16 and a loss with tie them with the Dallas wings and Washington Mystics for the worst record in the W which has been a a tough season for LA and head coach Kurt Miller Cameron Brink going down certainly didn't help matters Lexi Brown being out is really hurting the team's backourt scoring uh they were in this game against the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday lost 84 to 78 five for 24 shooting from three-point range really hurt Ari McDonald who's been great as a a scorer and distributor in her first season with the Sparks went one for 10 0 for six from three uh so you know they were really looking to get a spark on the uh in the back court from from somebody to score the well consistently Ria Jackson though the uh other top five pick besides Brink that the uh LA Sparks uh came into this season with she get 22 points and six rebounds azer Stevens returned had 10 point six rebounds and four assists and she will play a large role going forward next to Dear Hami uh A team's Allstar who is also going to the Olympics to represent a three on three squad for Team USA uh and she had 25-9 in the loss to Phoenix Stephanie talber is nursing a right foot injury so be aware of that she's questionable for Tuesday night's game after leaving Sunday's contest late in the first quarter uh we'll see if she plays through a foot issue or if uh they exercise caution with her as well U but here's the deal with this matchup these teams have played twice both in June the uh the links won 86 to 62 on June 5th and uh on June 14th they won 81 to 76 uh at home in Minnesota uh and ker averaged 27 and a half points per game in the two victories uh so they will miss her uh but I really don't want to take points with LA even though they're a pretty good home team and uh you know pretty competitive there and the links are just five and four on the road but I mentioned the links have great depth uh Stevens is still working her way back they might not have talit uh so gonna pass on the side here and just take a shot with the total uh at under 156 and a half 156 and if you see it dwindling you should definitely hop in as soon as you watch this video or as soon as the line shifts too far down as uh some lyns games tend to do uh a lot of people like to back the under the under is 129 and one in Minnesota games while it's 10 10 and one in Sparks contest so uh we'll see whether the Minnesota links can make it two in a row without their star uh I definitely think that they'll win this game but
