the draw of course there's a north and south split Patrick which I guess helps us in a way as well in terms of traveling but um some of the teams that's been there would you want to go with like a mil wall approach and try to be you know our rivals or where's your head at a easy approach a hard one one of the big teams like where do you what well the big team technically they're not involved unless you class maybe a Premier League team let's just say that rather than big teams because IAL them LW still out right um I'm gonna be I'm gonna be totally selfish I'm going to be home that week but so I'll be at that game so I'm hoping that it's a home game so I don't care who we get along this home I can go to the match if it's an a away game it has to be local I can't really travel during the week so Lon orian Wimbledon mil wall who else did you say that was local um in terms of the teams that are involved are local wible Birmingham Birmingham wouldn't be too far I can go Birmingham is not that local if you include Birmingham we might as well include Bournemouth um but again I have a niece in birming I can go visit her and re that yeah but yeah Bournemouth is too too far south I don't want to go down to that far south so but again like you said before we started the stream anyone at home is fine I'm not scar anybody at home anybody at home is good look there's a carabal cup hype no need to worry about International breaks or hopefully no injuries so we can go with 100% you know if not our top top team near enough our best 11 so in the past we all know in the past what we've done in the past with our summer managers we've gone out there with with basically you know joke teams that got knocked out by joke clubs but there's no reason why we can't go out go out for it and I I've heard him speak in the past he he he wants to go for a cup he said it so he's actually set it out put it out there to everybody so I don't think we're g to go out there not taking it seriously but again I guess it depends on who we get where we playing it but I don't think OB be a m of us not taking it seriously as far as the manager concerned so which is good yeah is really good yeah I do think he'll take it seriously and he should he should take it seriously as well um we need that excitement sometimes we've lost it we've seen it with the cup runs even under Vieira it just gives you that hope of trying to you know win something it keeps the season alive it keeps the players motivated and now Patrick I think the most important thing is when we're talking about Squad death the reason why we are building this death is to try competing competitions like this and we should be doing U better than previous years yeah I mean you're right I mean looking at some of the players on our you know the we our Squad there are not many quotequote winners in that SAR who won a cup or anything in their P so everyone's GNA be hyped to try and win a trophy whether it be Dean Henderson you know e uh kamada who's actually won cups obviously in other countries but far as you know domestically none of our players have actually won a cup that I can think of well SCH won a ob premier league title obviously with Leicester but besides that so I think everyone's going to be hungry to win a cup or win a Troy Palace why not yeah and also gives us an opportunity to of course talk about the European Sports we we mentioned it in the league I think the league positions are hard but if Jokes Aside you I think was it you that mentioned that it gives us the best chance of entering a European competition if we were to go all the way and win the cup we're talking about second round draw today of course but in terms of why we should be taking it seriously you can you know you can have a wider implication in terms of what this cup run could potentially do and that's why for me people I give me the easiest teams on paper at home do you think anyone gives a toss do you think anyone will ever say oh look Crystal Palace be a team or B team to reach the semi-final or the finals or the carabal cup give me the easiest runs and I'll be talking about my prediction in terms of who I would like in the cup and but also another big Patrick that you've mentioned in the past is that this is a cup that of course Liverpool have won it City have won it but because of where it's played in the season it gives you that hope that even if you do face one of the bigger sides um it's not a cup that they take as seriously as let's say a palace should be taken rather than you know with the FA Cup that's a bit more serious towards the end of the season halfway through the season but because of the timing of this cup as well as the European competitions by the way that helps us doesn't it well that's my hope but I'm going to be honest like last year middlesbor who just beat um leads got to the semi-final and lost right but if you go back if you go back historically it's always going to be won by a top six s man united Man City Chelsea Liverpool they've owned this cup in the last 10 years owned it so you got to catch someone off guard you got to catch someone off guard because what happens is those top six sides are not having a great season use this as a like a uh a backup cups you know they won something man united a couple years ago won League Cup last year I think Liverpool won was The League Cup do you know what I mean and then when City are in on on on that Madness they win the league cup FA Cup and and Premier League you know trouble setting so it depends but I'm just hoping you're right the the finals like in February by that time you've got so they played so many matches before you're just hoping that you catch someone slipping no winter break as well this year that's right that's signicant no winter break as well so there isn't any rest per period um no Dey trips for certain teams for example um so so yeah I mean you're just going and going and going this season is going to be ruthless of course there are some rule changes such as semi automated offside rules um so so yeah so hopefully hopefully a bit more clarification with v as well but as you said I think winter break doesn't help the European competitions also I mean bigger clubs would prefer that over the carabar cup I mean some big clubs don't take carabar cup seriously if they if they were to win it because of of the man of trophies that they've won like we don't really care about this so right this is this should be a competition where Palace take it seriously with the manager that we've got with the squad dep that we're trying to build on um but yeah I mean let's go through some of the comments let's see if there's any other predictions let us know your prediction of course pis will care about the age experience when it comes to backup options or no in this case I I want to older backup uh because of the uh if you bring a younger player he's going to block ta I don't want to I wouldn't want to block anybody on any younger players um you know PA to the first team so for me having be older than than than Ty Mitchell makes sense because again he's not gonna be around for a long time and then you know whether we decid to get rid of Tai in a year or so whatever sell him one or whatever but no I want him to be more experienced because it makes more sense like I said I want someone who can play left wing back in a classic way and cage is the classic left wing back he is attacking great Cross of the ball great on free kicks great on Corner kicks um assists you know take a long shot he'd be perfect for TI again if Ty was the golf could get injured he'd stepping right away but you won't have to worry about him you know being inexperienced so no I think cage actually it Wick Wonder Sixth and also Cardiff seventh I think if we get any of these teams especially at home even away from home I fancy our chance massively as I've said give me the easiest teams possible and statistically in terms of League positions as well on PayPal these should be the sides that hopefully we could face um of course some people want to face likes on milw and few other teams based on what they want for me I want the easiest sides and these are the seven teams that I'm looking at I mean yeah any of those makes sense again I'll take anyone at home I mean I know got the north south it's going to be a southern team and then if it's away like I said make it someone away local that I can hopefully go to the game but like I said it doesn't matter who we get and again I don't give a toss who we get long we win and move on all the matters so yeah yeah Charlton apparently yeah they are out um so that's why they're not in the yeah yeah so you don't have to worry about them clowns um and um there's a comment here um P got us uh to a final on a 40% win rate so he can do it in my opinion in terms of glasner of course um the cup run it doesn't really reflect on the league performances as well you can have a cup run and have like a bass spell in the league that's happened numerous times for different teams and it's even happened at pis as well podo was a great example but as I said like if we do struggle I don't hopefully we don't but if we do struggle in the league it gives us um that bonus um who knocked out charton honestly I don't know I don't really follow
