reporting live from D [Music] du listen Florida State fans have had probably had Show Start the worst off seon of the century okay now what what makes this what makes this game so fun this is first of all this is what college football is all about can we just say that can we can we just say this is what college football is literally all about it it's it's this all right call lines are open 518 263 to talk about the game as well listen first of all can we just talk about everything Florida state has been through you go from the bowl if you go from the bowl game to now right so you get the bowl game everybody leaves you get drubbed by Georgia it's not a you you wanted to be in the college football playoff that didn't happen you get drubbed you you you're you're you're you're you got the you're rank number 10 you got the ESPN situation going on you want to Le the ACC you got this permanent it's just been one thing after another to Florida State fans one thing after another for Florida State fans and they haven't been able to just recover and then you get in invited out to Ireland such a beautiful Stadium you're on Prime Time television to start your new season of why you should have been voted into the college football playoffs and what do you do on the prime time International you [ __ ] the bed like you ultimately to the degree you [ __ ] the bed I I I I just I I can't understand it it will never make sense to me of all the things that had happened and transpired for Florida State for this to go down but listen at the end of the day Georgia Tech had a great game plan Georgia Tech had a great game plan and Florida state is looking at their quarterback and saying damn can we get a turn receipt that listen listen man everything that Glitter ain't gold and there's a reason the boy been hopping from school to school to school now I'm not going to say that DJ ukulele right that he's just a bad quarterback I won't say that I won't say ukulele is a bad quarterback but what I will say is listen if he the JLo of of teams if he the JLo of teams that's all I'm saying I I just at some point we got to start blaming JLo for how she keeps getting all these engagement rings and she can't keep a marriage like you it's only so much you can blame the guys it's the same thing with ukulele only so many times we can blame the teams blame the coaches on why ukulele ain't winning or why he's not successful at his stops that's all I'm saying I just that's all I'm saying and what makes this game even worse is the quarterback play on the opposite side wasn't even great it was like it was mediocre at best it was it wasn't nothing like hannes went out there and threw for like 250 or 300 yards with three tubs listen Brent was like Hey I know what our strength is we're going to make this game ugly and slow and I will see you in the fourth quarter sir I will see you in the fourth quarter sir and and that's how the game originally played out so let's get into a few of these slides man let's talk about this post game now I I listen return to Cinder okay that is the name of the game return to Cinder now if you watch the game ukulele I didn't I'm like am I looking at a senior or am I looking at a a a freshman that is in a big moment or a big spot because it didn't ever feel like they were comfortable with ukulele like it just I'm I'm looking at it and I'm like the play calling was just so protective like to have a senior quarterback and you're doing like toss sweeps on like second and nine right or you're doing like you're doing like halfback draws on Third and seven like I'm like what are we doing I when you go out and get a guy like this in the nil portal in the transfer portal you're supposed to be you're supposed to be that guy right right like if anything goes bad or things go wrong we can at least count on ukulele to come through for us that's not how this game went down it seemed like Florida state was just in a bag of obscur it was like a bag of just boring I like if you would have described this game people would have thought you was talking about Georgia Tech right I had people from Florida State texting me like man we look bad I'm like sh and and you Florida State like this is usually a Georgia Tech game where they triple option you to death shout out to Brett keth for getting away from that but they usually triping op triple option you to death and you like oh this game is so whack like oh my but I loved how Georgia Tech attacked and and that listen we gonna get into the offensive line we we gonna get into the offens the offensive line which montabella Tutti Frutti absolutely amazing but back to ukulele right so he goes 19 of 27 for 193 yards right mind you 70 of the 80 yards came on the final drive to tie the game up so if we being real he was like he was really like 14 of 23 for like 120 for 120 until the final fourth D the final drive into the fourth quarter tie the game up now I see Mr L said why is everybody blaming DJ ukulele well half the battle of being the quarterback is you got to take you got to take the onus of when you when you're just that was bad you just played bad either the offensive coordinator Mike norvale didn't feel comfortable with you pushing the ball down the field or you just didn't take the shot that were available to you either way you got to take some of this blame you got to hold some of this and on top of that the the defense got to take a lot oh listen that de coordinator that D coordinator we GNA have to talk because to me at some point in the second half I gotta I got to stack the box so much that I'm going to make you pass right and I'm not saying the box was really really like super super light cuz it was usually like four down line two linebackers but you got to bring that safety down you got to bring that Rover down and he just roam in the Box he being that extra man because Georgia Tech in that in that pistol in that shot I mean they had their way and that dine that dline had nothing for Georgia Tech offensive line had nothing Florida state dline had nothing for Georgia Tech old line today and the beauty of it and what the real beauty of what Georgia Tech was doing was the eye candy that went with it the motion the jet sweeps and all that type of stuff the jet motions but it was just when we needed to have a yard this is what makes running the ball this is when you know you can run the ball when you know I'm running the ball when they know I'm running the ball when everybody in the freaking Stadium knows I'm running the ball third and two second and five third and one can you stop me and it's a no for Florida State and Georgia Tech oine said hell no you can't stop us now let's go into a little bit of of the Georgia Tech side of it Hanes King was 11 to 16 for 146 yards 15 carry 54 yards now listen I predominantly cover the swag I predominantly cover FCS football watching this game I had to talk about it m this what you see here is Quint essential FCS football stats like when you got if anybody remember in the first half the Bama was like 0 for six for passes over six yards you want to talk about as cheeks he was like five for five for passes under five yards and then he was like 0 for six for anything like six plus then he missed the wide open TouchDown the Bama was running Scot free in the corner just him and Jesus overthrew him right so let's be very clear hannes King is not all world I I want to be very clear like hannes King isn't this oh my God I'mma set the world on fire this is what happens when you have a great offensive mind that knows what his strengths of his players are what the strength of his team is and he leans into it right they when you talk about taking time off the clock and playing a slow game and making it muddy and ugly right because the biggest thing for Georgia Tech was the response touchdown to Florida State's first drive let's be very clear I I that really set the tone for Georgia Tech you can talk about all the plays in the world the nine times out of nine times out of 10 when you're when a group of five or any team is playing a power five team it's always how you respond to adversity that lets you know where your team is at in this game and the way Georgia Tech responded to the first drive of Florida State because it was easy let's be very clear Florida State's first drive DJ ukulele looked good the running backs look good they got everything they wanted boom they scored how Georgia Tech responded to Florida State in that moment was really what set the game to the path that it was because Georgia Tech confidence and they just rolled that confidence and then when they scored again and made it 14 oh man you couldn't tell them nothing cuz the defense was playing lights out football the the the crazy thing is the defense to me played worse as the game in the fourth quarter when the game got tight and they needed a stop for Florida State couldn't tie the game up at 21-21 to me that was the worst I had seen georia Georgia Tech's defensive coordinator call call a game plan because on fourth down on fourth down he did the first the first fourth down he rushed three and dropped eight which gave DJ way too much time to find what he was and then he went right I listen as soon as they hiped the ball I saw the seam guy come open I said he got him right my wife was like how did you see that I'm like you can see it off the rip cuz cuz the linebackers weren't getting enough depth and they're just keeping their eyes forward so they're not going to see what's behind them he hits the seam guy right behind them for that fourth down conversion so then the next fourth down conversion the defensive cour is like well okay you're not going to beat me like that again so he does pretty much a cover zero and leaves number 23 on the island by himself and first of all you can't give him the inside if you're going cover zero and my linebackers are blitzing I can't give you the inside that like that's just too easy of a throw right gives him the inside does a stem slant stem in he comes up breaks him off boom wide open catches it boom then they go in to score those are probably the worst two defensive calls he had had all game because honestly at that point ukulele wasn't really doing much for you not to he I mean listen Rush four maybe Blitz five maybe Blitz one more you know what I'm saying rush forward Blitz one and make DJ beat you make DJ make throws right make DJ make throws which he hadn't done all day so that that in itself was just a tough one but at the end of the day listen man you know what the you know who the MVP was you know who the MVP was very simply Georgia Tech offensive line man listen Brent needs to be listen whatever they getting paid in nio money they need to the doubled if I'm a offensive lineman on Georgia Tech right now I'm going to my agent and saying whatever they got on that paper I need it doubled I need my money on time cuz they earned every bit of it I don't even think if I'm not M if I'm not mistaken I don't even think they gave up a sack if I'm not mistaken just I just want to I I I like I think they didn't give up a stat let me let me go to these stats real quick and see I want to make sure that uh team stats let me see yeah I don't think they gave up a sack I don't I don't think they gave up not one sack that's amazing I just I just want to say that right now that is absolutely amazing uh got to give it up to the running backs Jamal Hines 11 carry 75 yards two tubs uh Zack Pyon the quarterback that big white boy uh one carry had a touchdown as well HS King 15 carries 54 yards as I said Chad Alexander seven carries 41 yards man listen this was just a straight straight old school ground in pound type of game to where Georgia Tech wanted to do they dictated the pace they dictated the game and defensively they were able to limit Florida State's big plays because their running game really never got going and it felt like Florida state was trying to force the run like they were trying to they were trying to impose the run when I'm like you have a senior quarterback why are you not trying to go over the top throw the ball spread it out you know what I'm saying I don't know Florida State's players like that to be like oh they got this receiver or that receiver but I mean come on godd damn it's Florida State it's it was Florida State like you you you ain't got no top- Notch receivers you're in the middle of Tallahassee you in the middle of Florida like what are we talking about right now now you gonna have everybody now you gonna have everybody in in God's green earth talking about what is Florida state really right because you just lost to an unranked team what do you look like really is Mike noville on the hot seat me personally H I don't think so I mean he had a wonderful season last year so you you can't just like oh one L put him on the hot seat but God damn this is not how you want to start the season off it it it just can't rank number 10 the favorite in the ACC and you come out and you lose to Georgia Tech on we're like who was throwing these footballs they don't show the quarterback and we all like man DJ's throwing these quarterback I mean throwing these interceptions they're not talking about it we had it was a big problem because we're like okay we're not throwing the football deep at all we got Malik Bon from Alabama he's a stud why are not why are they throwing the ball and so we we've been very suspect of DJ so we we we pretty upset but we kind of know what's up let me let me ask you this when you say you kind of know what's up where do you go from here as a Florida State fan right like you had expectations right because you're coming off of a one loss season you don't really count the bowl game that is what it is right but you know you're coming off a one Lost season and you have a senior quarterback with DJ ukulele he doesn't show up like you're expecting where where does Florida State go from here I'm not saying the season's over but is there anybody on the roster that you're like man Scotty listen man if we can slide this kid in I think we got a shot honestly we we we have a great running game far as in when when we have options of throwing the football like if we're throwing the football decent our running game opens up a little more but after you know Georgia Tech they when they lost in on our our running game it's like who they they forced DJ throw the ball and he he couldn't make any plays so I I think our options is nothing but the local Chapel we going have to pray um we we going to have to pray cuz that's the only thing that only Jesus can help us at this point but yeah we it's going to a long season um I I looking at the schedule we play um I think Boston College next and we play you know University of California but after that it's it's it's going to be a tough season we play norre Dame at norre Dame this year we play play University of Miami at Miami um then we got like Clemson and Duke and Florida all around y play Virginia Tech this year U I'm not I'm not sure about Virginia Tech um but I know we definitely after these next couple games it's going it's going to be adult fight for sure and if we already playing Georgia Tech like this it's going people going really going to be asking about Norville I know Norville we just gave him extension yeah so he's gonna be around um I've been one of those people you know I I kind of wanted you know I hate to bring this up but I kind of wanted Prime like two three years ago I wanted him to come back you know callah you know I went to film I went to uh when I'm getting my masters at Florida State you know I was like man I like Prime to come come home because I just know there's going to be a certain kind of um you know expectations we have you know so Norville you know I I I really question this this coaching staff part than play calling oh okay I'm so glad you brought that up KT let me let me let me talk to you real quick so the play calling to me when I'm watching the game I feel like there was no trust in DJ like it it it it seemed like they handcuffed the kids so much I'm like cuz I remember at Oregon State he he threw that thing you know what I'm saying he's slung it around at Oregon State so to me I'm like to come to Florida State you know seeing what um your your quarterback last year with Travis right yes sir yeah seeing what he was able to do at Florida State and the way they throw the way they threw the ball with Travis I'm like okay you know he's going to be it's going to be a good fit but watching this game I didn't see I didn't see the ability of DJ on full display and I will say this I don't think Georgia Tech's DBS are really that good if I'm being completely honest because I saw how they did in manto man situations and they were getting worked right it's just yeah there was go ahead there was like one deep ball that um um DJ Miss on I think the on jakai jakai Douglas and was like it was like real deep ball like one of the only deep balls that that look good but far as he had open wide receiver he he underthrew him um what when it comes to Jordan Travis last year some of us our thing was Jordan was a a great playmaker but sometimes he he was great of making like making play like making plays out of okay nothing's going on he's gonna make a play far as than scrambling so sometimes I don't think he was even play calling it was more of Jordan was just he was what we call a gamer like he was just he was gonna make something happen gotta and you don't get and I from what I'm seeing I don't get that vibe from ukulele I I don't I don't get that vibe from him n it's going to be a long season um I I I was worried like brown like beginning second quarter looked at my dad I'm like Dad we we a we ain't throw the ball um that's concerning he was like yeah it's very concerning we we it's very concerning so tellas you know you know my I got another game at 7:30 you know so if I lose this um one earlier hopefully State fans should absolutely be worried I mean it it's where once again the most important part of your team is the quarterback but unless you're Building A system that supports kind of like what Bren I need you to make the throws that's it when I need you Haynes King perfect example they're making a drive I I believe if I'm not mistaken on the 21-point drive when he was when they were going to score 21 it's third and seven and they do a a a double a double a double cross right the tight end goes across and then he has a slot receiver in the back he puts it right on the money on Third and seven right another drive on the 21 point oh no this was on this was for the game winner third and it's like third and seven cuz they got the Fall start it was third and two they got the Fall start it's third and seven right because at some point my run game can't do everything I need a quarterback to make a throw it might not have to be the throw but it needs to be a I need you to make a throw he processes it they they call the perfect play has the back coming out the back field hits him in flat hits them in stride the running back does the rest picks up the first down right so those are the plays that you're asking haes and your quarterback I just need a throw just can you make the throw when I need you to make it right because I it's just like no different when you have a running back I can't block everybody you're going to have to make somebody Miss and then can you take it to the house it's the same thing with a quarterback right I can't draw it up perfectly all the time sometimes I'm going to just need you to have to make a throw and that's what Haynes King was able to do today hey when my coach needed me to make a throw I made the throw I missed one here I I threw one in the dirt here but when I needed to make a throw I made the throw right so that's what it goes down to and that's and that's what if I'm a Florida State fan I got to see what ukulele is going to be out going game to game to game because it doesn't get easier from this point it just gets harder and it's gonna be a long season for Florida State fans if that's the case now Georgia Tech fans Hey
