FIRST 2024 CFB RANKINGS

hello hello hello and welcome back to yet another college football video man week one is over with we're through with week one it was amazing it was absolutely incredible um I'm actually recording this on Monday so like the last game of the week one is like Florida State Boston College I don't give a about that game take that that's not gonna change these rankings whatsoever ladies and gentlemen we have the very first Ro why I say ladies there's no women watching this but we have the very first Rod poll the very first Rod poll of the season for the next three and a half months there will be about 13 14 15 16 of these I don't even know but let's get right into it man I I couldn't be happier to get into this before we do though thank you for watching let's go man all right so if you were not aware this is how my rankings looked going into week one I had made some last minute adjustments um this is how it looked this is how it looked going into the season and obviously there was a lot of changes how many teams dropped out one two three four five of these teams five of my top 30 dropped out and just so we all are clear and we understand the rod pole is not about necessarily what I think the best teams in the country it pretty much is the re the the way it's structured is the teams at the top I think would beat every team below them at a new neutral site so I might not think that for example here I might not think that Missouri is a more talented team than Alabama but I think if they played on a neutral site they would beat them the same for Arizona and LSU the same for it Liberty and Kansas state right I think if they played on a neutral site the team above them would always beat the team or at least you know the majority of the time the team above them I would pick them in my opinion to beat any team below them on a neutral site so that being said these are the rankings preseason if you will and this is how it changed after week one all right I had to put Georgia at number one here I felt like they just had to be the top spot team um they bowled out they absolutely bowled out against Clemson um and they dominated them even though the first half was very competitive and by competitive I mean Clemson's defense came out to play they they slowed Georgia down and but Georgia's offense they made a few mistakes it was kind of self-inflicted if you will with penalties taking away big plays they did not look as sharp and Georgia could not run the ball in the first half which was very interesting keep in mind Georgia was missing their top two running backs for this game uh Trevor eten was suspended and they had another guy out hurt so they were missing their top two running backs but that did not matter because in the second half Georgia was they actually made adjustments unlike Clemson and they claim out they came out and dominated the entire second half they just beat the break off Clemson Carson Beck played very well Georgia had like 150 rushing yards in the second half it felt like every time they decided to run the ball they were breaking off a big chunk yard play Nate Frasier is he a true freshman I'm not even sure out of nowhere nobody knew who this dude was before the game had over a 100 yards on just 12 touches scored a touchdown and defensively they shut Clemson down bro the only moment of success that I can think of for the entire game from Clemson was a well thrown ball and a good catch by Antonio Williams like the left sideline I think it was like a 35 yard gain that was it that that was all of Clemson's offensive you know good things and one play right there after that it was nothing Georgia looked like the best team in the country they shut Clemson down and I mean their last two games they have beat the two best ACC teams by a combin what is it 97 to6 so I think Georgia yeah Georgia has proven that they are one of if not the best programs yet again in college football after that we have Ohio State listen I had them at number one preseason but the quality of win compared to Georgia obviously is just not the same I think they started the game off slow I don't think will Howard played amazing but that being said they still ran the ball very well quinon junkins and trayon Henderson both got a good amount of touches Jeremiah Smith though the true freshman I believe the number one player in the recruiting class last year he came out and had a very good opening game UHA Uka also played well so Ohio St I mean listen you cannot we're going to see like a dozen plus teams here who just played a low-level opponent you can't really take away too much from these games they're supposed to look great now some teams didn't look great we're going to talk about those teams Ohio state is one of the teams that played extremely well obviously you're going to have takeaways you know you should look like this right when you play a lowlevel team but obviously George's win was much higher quality so I had to bump them ahead of Ohio State number three was Miss uh yeah Miss just bald the out 76 to nothing I think that is the biggest margin of Victory by any team in week one I don't think anybody scored 80 plus so yeah I think Miss certainly I mean I guess if you just want to put it on paper Point differential they probably did play the best game Jackson Dart six touchdowns Trey Harris probably gonna play himself into the first round if not the I mean there's so many receivers but Trey Harris is just an absolute monster can't wait to see what he does against some of like the top tier teams um but yeah Miss bald out absolutely I mean rest in peace firman I don't even know what they are what type of what what state they're in but take him off the map bro Old Miss ran him off the field and they played so well that I had to bump them above my previously rated number three team which was Oregon man please tell me how Oregon man managed to struggle so heavily against Idaho Idaho of all the teams bro how the hell are we losing to Idaho or not losing sorry only scoring and this is the thing right look at the numbers they had well over four 400 yards of offense they somehow struggled to run the ball at only 2.9 yards per carry I'm not sure how uh Jordan James the running back had a good game like what what was the issue here I I think they missed a field goal or two they struggled to convert on fourth down I think they had a fumble or something it's like they didn't turn they didn't throw a pick it's like the defense still came to play they shut they shut that Idaho down of course but it's like the offense situationally they didn't struggle to move the ball but converting fourth Downs converting in the red zone making field goals they just did a bad job against Idaho which I'm just going to attribute it to first game rustiness new quarterback obviously not that he's inexperienced right now I mean look at the numbers he had a good game most people will be mad that it's all checkdowns but brother you got to take what the defense gives you I mean I'm sure if there were open receivers downfield he would have been bombing downfield but TZ Johnson he's a slot guy you know makes his money within five to 10 yards of the line of scrimmage it's tough because I don't not really taken too much away from this game I really don't think this is going to impact their season whatever but when Oregon plays a bad team and they win 24 to 14 and ol Miss plays a bad team and they win 76 to nothing obviously I have to give ol miss the credit there and bump them ahead of Oregon one spot but I do not think this is going to affect Oregon negatively whatsoever I think it was just a weird fluke of a first game following that we have Texas beating the breaks off Colorado State this is actually a game where I was kind of paying a little little bit of attention to um because I thought Colorado state with that quarterback that wide receiver I thought they might have actually been a little bit of a test for Texas's defense that turned out not to be true because Texas played amazing um Quinn newers he did have a pick but it's like he got hit while he was throwing I think Quinn ERS played well Arch Manning came in Off the Bench he played well when they were up by a million um the running backs keep in mind they lost Jonathan Brooks to the NFL draft they lost CJ Baer to an injury the running back the running back still look fine I think Jaden blue is going to be the number one guy this season but I mean all their running backs did a good job um four receivers over 50 yards um name a guy he had a good game um The Freshman I think Ryan Wingo he played well who else was it Isaiah Bond had some big catches ma the guy from Houston golden I think is his name I me everybody looked good I can't say anything negative about Texas defensively I thought they did a great job they absolutely shut down what should have been a good quarterback wide receiver combination from Colorado State so I mean yeah no negatives for Texas but I don't think it was a good enough game to bump because like I said like I said I still think Oregon would beat Texas on a neutral field if they played tomorrow but Texas obviously had a better week one performance than Oregon did also Missouri pretty much the same thing pretty much the exact same score as Texas um the Stars only played like the first half I think but when they were out there they were Flawless ran the ball well defense shut Murray State down obviously there's just not much to take away from these games right we we we get to talk about these teams more when we actually see them play good teams but Missouri's new running backs look good Marcus Carol look really good um yeah I mean I have nothing to say besides they did what they're supposed to do against a bad team so credit to them after that this is one of the big this again biggest game since we talked about Georgia Clemson Miami went to the swamp and dominated it was close for like the first eight or nine minutes of game time then after that Miami ran away with it man C Ward threw a bad pick in like the first quarter I think and he was pretty much Flawless and I mean Flawless the rest of the game cam Ward had one of the best games I've ever seen the best game I've ever seen from him was that game against Oregon State last year where he like that was probably the best half of football I've ever seen a player play was cam Warden that first half against Oregon State but this is right up there with some of the best performances of him of his entire career Damen Martinez the transfer running back looked good I what's his name Xavier rrio he is about to have backtack thousand yard receiving Seasons at Miami and I do not say that lightly he was amazing last or this game he juked somebody he juked this poor old white safety so bad he got hurt they had to get like carried off the field I mean Miami looks good bro their defense played lights out um the transfer uh Tyler Baron got a sack uh the the linebacker whose name I whose name I mispronounced earlier he got a big sack I mean they got multiple interceptions I think I mean Miami was pretty much Flawless this game I have no negatives to say about them their offense should be one of if not the best in the country cam Ward looks like a early Heisman candidate even though it's way too early to be talking about that stuff but I mean Miami is what I thought they were the only difference is I didn't think they'd win this game in such dominant fashion I thought it'd be a pretty close game but um their offense and defense came to play week one and they completely shut Florida down Miami with one of the most impressive wins of week one then you have Miami or sorry then you have Alabama they completely took care of business against Western Kentucky the offense had I mean the offense had no flaws the defense had no flaws there's nothing negative I can say about this game I actually thought they played so well I bumped them ahead of notto Dame even though notto Dame played a higher caliber of opponent um Jaylen milro looked great obviously um the I think I think this guy's a freshman this guy Ryan Williams probably a five-star freshman he had a great game obviously two catches two touchdowns 140 yards um the running backs I think Justin ha Justice Hayes had the best game I think out of everybody but you know they should be able to run the ball fairly well at Alabama next year this year I should say but yeah Alabama did what they were supposed to do offense looked impressive defense looked impressive let's let's get to notto Dame now even though they won this game and it says they won it by double dig by double digits it didn't feel I mean it was back and forth it was there was an extremely close game that Notre Dame's defense completely bailed them out Riley Leonard did not have a great game he was not able to push the ball down the field really at all if felt it looked like he was playing hurt the entire I mean it kind of feels like he's always playing hurt to be honest Riley it's like he's always got something wrong with them he can never push the ball downfield in like a good fashion it it it just looks rough every time he's playing but I mean they got the job done nearly 200 rushing yards they ran the ball pretty well Jeremiah Love had the big rushing touchdown in the second half to kind of pull it away for Notre Dame and defensively man we understand that Notre Dame is going to be one of the five best defenses in the country I think um they shut A&M down they made that quarterback's life absolute hell um only 100 passing yards allowed think about that ANM has a five-star quarterback a couple you know high level bigname receivers like they shut them completely down but with that being said you definitely think that if you hold A&M to 13 that you should beat them by way more and you should have been able to pull away Notre Dame was not able to pull away in this game which I thought was going to come at some point but it just didn't happen by the way there's no way A&M should have been ranked in the top 25 by anybody I did not have them close to the top 25 number 28 so that this is not neurod Dame does not get credited by the way for a big win it was a tough environment to play in certainly on the road week one but Notre Dame does not get like oh you you knocked off A&M that that's not what happened but I give them credit their offensive line is extremely young I thought they pulled together late um and played much better than they did in the first half but Riley Leonard he never had that moment like Riley leard never had a big moment in this game where I was like oh yeah he looks like he's going to adjust really well and they got rid of their offensive coordinator from last year they brought in the one from LSU it just didn't I me it just didn't look pretty man it didn't look pretty I think they have the weapons like Jaden Thomas Mitchell Evans the transfer Chris Mitchell I think like they got guys I think but I don't know just something weird with Notre Dame quarterbacks like once they go to Notre Dame they just play worse for some reason I don't know number 10 we got Penn State I've gone back and forth about this game and what I think about it because it's like with Penn State right they always look good against everybody Els right they always play well against the teams that are not named Michigan and Ohio State right so it's like does it matter how well they played they played well obviously they beat West Virginia Drew all looked good um they ran the ball very well the defense shut West Virginia down they shut Garrett green down it's like everything was positive for Penn State however it's like this is what they do it's what they do it's like I can't take Pinn State seriously until I see them beat Michigan or Ohio State and I just don't think they're gonna do I don't even think they play Michigan this year I think they play Oregon and Ohio State I think they're going to lose both those games they could go 10 and two and make the playoff but it's like does that really is is it any different the thing that I will say is Trey Wallace looked like a number one receiver right he looked like a number one receiver him and Drew Waller had a good connection but with that being said didn't they have a guy last year kandre Lambert Smith who had like five touchdowns the first two games he looked legit the first couple games and he turned out to not be when they needed him most so I I can't even take that seriously that has to be that has to be something I have to see like throughout the season I cannot just take it in week one and be like oh yep they got a number one receiver now by the way where was Julian Fleming did you guys see all the Penn State fans that were hyping this guy up as gonna be their one not like their number one receiver didn't he have like one catch or something this guy there's a bunch of transfer players that did not contribute like most of the bigname transfers especially at receiver just did not do much in week one like it's it's weird it's like I don't know man more of these receivers that have it good where they are should just elect to stay in my opinion but uh it is what it is number 11 we got Tennessee they beat the breaks off Chattanooga and this is the interesting thing right obviously you shouldn't take much from these games right but if you remember last year Tennessee was not dominating early I think they played Virginia and Austin pay like the first two weeks and they played Florida they didn't look too good especially offensively in those first couple games that is the difference that we saw here right they ran for over 300 yards Dylan Samson bald out Nico bowled out Dante Thorton finally they got a guy from Oregon like two years ago Dante Thorton he's like 64 and runs incredibly fast I'm like what man once they figure out how to use this guy it's gonna be a problem they figured out how to use him apparently so listen Tennessee even though we should not take much from these games they they're they look better than they did last year especially offensively and defensively listen last year they established in 2021 they couldn't play defense but they ran the ball well and they obviously had the best pass game in the country 2022 they couldn't throw the ball for some reason but they had a great run game and a great defense 2024 now or 2023 I should say whatever year it is now 2022 2023 20224 now it looks like they have the Run game they have the defense and now they have the pass game to all complement one another and this might be the best version of Tennessee that we've seen under hyp that's my opinion keep it to yourselves if you don't agree with it but it is what it is I I am a believer of Tennessee this year don't think they're gonna be Georgia um Michigan at 12 I thought about I thought about dropping him but after this it kind of gets to the range where it's like I don't I don't really think anybody below this deserve to jump above Michigan but they did not look good if you remember guys if you remember they played cans last year to start the first half of their schedule really um they don't do that this year but Fresno State was not a good warm-up game I think they're gonna get crushed by Texas to be honest with you um 30 to10 I thought it was going to be Alex orgy I was really expecting Alex orgy to be the starting quarterback it was some other guy that I mean I've heard of but I don't even know I don't even know what he looks like the guy that ended up starting um he didn't play good um they can't throw the ball but I told you this right I told you Michigan's offense was not going to be good I told you it wasn't going to be pretty they struggled to run the ball on Fresno State they could not throw it obviously and by the way this this Dylan Edward or Don I forgot his name this Donovan Edwards thing is so funny do you guys remember all the Michigan fans that I've been talking about oh once corm leaves it's it's Edwards time Donovan Edwards for the Heisman wasn't this guy on the cover of college football this guy 13 Touches for 27 yards against Fresno State I can name 30 running backs right now who are better and should get more recognition than Donovan Edwards but because this guy had one good year in 2022 people just think that he is this guy is just he was the beneficial of having actual good NFL level starter but now that he's the bcow and he's the one that has to play against the first team defense all the time and he's the one that has to get hit and like you he doesn't have Blake km to soften the defense up for him anymore he's the guy now and last year he couldn't get it done and this year now game one he played terrible so it's like man I'm so happy that people that are that have been hyping this guy up forever finally get to shut up now because he had 13 Touches for 27 yards Donovan Edwards is a joke Michigan's offense is a joke but of course they're defense is amazing will Johnson had a pick six he'll be a top 10 pick I mean it is what it is we know we know Michigan's defense is incredible and I told you that their offense is bad so it is what it is I I expected nothing different so it is what it is they are what I thought they were and they're going to get blown out next week against Texas um Kansas at number 13 um they've jumped up two spots Kansas my number 13 Team all Big 12 here look at this big 12 it is the third best conference and is one of the deepest conferences it's a great conference okay Kansas at 13 Jaylen Daniels didn't play that well he didn't play that well but with that being said they still I mean we know if well if you know you know Kansas is one of the best Run games in the country Devin Neil is a baller Daniel Haisha the backup is a stud they have an amazing Run game and they showed it uh in week one um Luke Grim if you didn't know their top three receivers all come back Luke Grim being one of them he had the best game of any receiver um and defensively they shut down I me it's Lynden wood I might be hyping this performance up a little bit too much but it kind of is what I expected now I'm happy with that I just need to see Jaylen Daniels play a little better it's going to be tough week two is against Illinois I think they've beat them back-to-back years I think but now year third year in a row they're playing Illinois I don't know if it's at home or on the road but it's a must one game it's a big game if they beat a big 10 opponent week two then they they a couple more people will be opening their eyes to Kansas so I'll be watching that one very closely number 14 I was not expecting Utah to jump this much but I think just seeing cam Rising I had a lot listen I had a lot of reservations and a lot of questions about this offense I had a lot of questions about how good cam Rising would look when he came back um I had a lot of questions about the Run game the receiving G in the receiving game uh keithy was back he looked amazing this guy dejon Stanley I don't know who he is or where he came from I don't know if he's a running back receiver he got the ball in both areas and he bowled out cam Rising bowled out this game answered a few of my questions and because it answered a few of my questions I was was quick to adjust my opinion and give Utah some more respect because listen my opinion has always been this if they are what they can be offensively then they're one of the best teams in the Big 12 and they're one of the 15 16 best teams in the country that that my opinion has not changed on that the only question I had was how good was their offense going to look it looked great in week one but it was against Southern Utah their schedule's going to get tough they're going to play a lot of good teams in the Big 12 we'll see we'll see how they stack up but in week one they look good and I'm going to give them the credit for that um number we have Arizona don't get me wrong well actually let me just start with this terat TOA McMillan or taroa t Tetro I gotta figure out how to say his name correctly because I just I'm G just call him T-Mac T-Mac that's what his old nickname is I think T-Mac is gonna be a top five NFL pick six foot five 44 speed glue on his hands I mean this listen thing the man had 10 catches for 300 yards and four touchdowns he should have had 12 catches for 400 yards and six touchdowns there was a scramble where no FF got out of the packet he ran for like 10 12 yards got the first down McMillan was wide open in the end zone wide open Easy pitch and catch would have been for a 4050 yard touchdown faf just missed missed him he just completely missed him that should have been a touchdown there was also like a 4050 yard bomb on the right sideline where he made an amazing catch adjusted sideline toe tap caught the ball they reviewed it overturned it took the catch off the board that was about 50 yards he should have had 12 for 406 yard in six touchdowns I should say New Mexico is happy that they only gave up 300 yards in four touchdowns McMillan I think he's gonna win the bitnik off I think he is going to be a top five pick this guy's an absolute monster with that being said you cannot in any world give up 39 points to New Mexico um I don't even know if they got a sack or not but they got two takeaways but man 39 39 points to New Mexico that's embarrassingly bad but their offense looked amazing this is the thing I said preseason all all Arizona needs to do is be a middle of the- pack defense because this offense is amazing um the trans by the way the transfer running backs both of them um they got a transfer running back from New Mexico State I believe or New Mexico he played out of his mind they got a transfer running back from San Jose State he played out of his mind so faf the two running backs and McMillan all showed up all bowled out they all had great games the defense did not help them out enough they got the job done because they they scored 61 points but it's like the defense has to help him out a little bit the defense has to play a little better because they're going to play a lot better teams than New Mexico they're going to play Utah they're going to play Oklahoma state they're gonna play Kansas I think I hope they play that would be an amazing game they play Kansas but they're going to play some really good teams in the Big 12 this year their defense has to play better than they did week one that's why they dropped a couple spots for me I was very disappointed with how that defense played but they might have a top five offense in the country okay past the Big 12 now well we still have a couple but NC State 16 they struggled they struggled mightily the first three quarters against Western Carolina I was disappointed I was concerned but apparently they ball it out in the fourth they pulled away late and the three guys offensively that I pointed out already Grayson McCall the transfer quarterback he was great Jordan Waters the running back he played well and Kevin conception the true sophomore receiver 121 yards three touchdowns he bowled out so the three guys on this team that kind of have to carry them if you will they all did that and that's why they won week one the this this the the good and the bad for NC State NC State did not look good in week one they struggled that would have been more concerning for me moving forward if the rest of the ACC didn't look equally shitty Florida State lost Clemson lost UNC season is over and a win so all of those three teams the bed so I feel better about NC State even though they themselves did not play that well so yeah I'm going to keep NC State at 16 I think look listen does my opinion sh listen Tennessee bowled out week one NC State disappointed week one I'm still picking NC State to upset Tennessee in week two however this is the thought process in my mind it's either gonna be a Tennessee blowout or an NC State squeak by upset those are the only two possibilities it's not going to be close in in Tennessee's favor it's not going to be a blot NC State win um so yeah those are the only two outcomes in my opinion Tennessee blowout or close squeak by NC State upset but I'm still going with the upset for state next week over Tennessee number 17 we have Oklahoma um listen Oklahoma they do this is going to be a very short amount of time spent on this their defense went bananas six sacks six takeaways Jackson Arnold looked fine they ran the ball well Dion Burks this is their new number one receiver transfer came from Purdue he had three touchdowns I thought he looked good so you know it is what it is and the reason they jump up one spot is because their rival Oklahoma state did not look good in week one they struggled against South Dakota State and this the thing about Oklahoma State you have Absol have absolutely no consistency you have no idea what Oklahoma state is going to bring to the table week to week I mean last season they got blown the out by UCF they lost to South Alabama but then they beat Oklahoma then they beat who else they beat they beat Kansas State or can they beat somebody they beat multiple teams last year that I didn't think they were going to beat but they lost in horrible fashion to some bad teams so it's like I don't I don't get it I have no idea what to think with Oklahoma State all I can go off is what I saw this week Allan Bowman looked fine Ali Gordon he got listen this is the thing man I am so concerned for Ali Gordon and omaran Hampton because it seems like both of these teams can do nothing unless these guys are getting 30 plus touches the game Ali Gordon got 31 I think hton got 36 I love both these guys I think they're both going to be NFL running backs I hope that these guys do not get 350 plus touches this season which it looks like they're both going to get unless Unfortunately they get hurt so I hope something changes for both these guys but unfortunately I don't think it's going to change because if both these teams don't to have any shot in hell they're going to have to Pound The Rock with these guys and get each of them at least 30 touches a game oi Gordon bowled out he's going to have to the defense it it was disappointing you can't give up 20 points to South Dakota state is what it is Oklahoma State let me down a little bit that's why Oklahoma jumps ahead by one spot next up Washington still nobody is giving Washington any credit um I think Washington might be ranked in the next rankings because I think what they're not going to drop clemar FSU for some reason but A&M's going to be out of there what's going to be out of there A&M that was the only I think ranked team I had different teams ranked whatever but maybe Washington I don't know but Washington I think they look good I think their offense looked really impressive here's the thing um that transfer running back I was talking about from Arizona Jonah Coleman yeah he looks like he's going to be a star this year he followed his head coach uh I think his name is what's his name Jed fish I think he followed his head coach from Arizona to Washington and he looked very good they kind of centered the offense around him uh the transfer Denzel Boston I think is his name or the transfer guy from cow looked good will Howard looked good the Run game looked good the defense looked good I have nothing negative to say about Washington they took care of business in week one and they're up to 19 for me um this whole this whole Trio by the way all moved up a lot of spots Memphis as well they beat their opponent 40 to nothing still being extremely underrated the only negative here they struggled to run the ball I'm not sure why um but the past game looked fine the defense looked great hopefully they're going to be able to figure out the Run game a little bit um but yeah Memphis 140 and I think they're going to jump up three spots for me and I think they're going to beat Florida on the road sorry Florida State I think they're gonna beat Florida State on the road that is a game I'm betting and I've been betting on even before Florida State lost to Georgia Tech I still had that uh the same prediction so I think Memphis is going to be Florida State on the road then we got Louisville this is an interesting one um because they beat Austin pay 62 to nothing now if you remember I had to drop Louisville a couple spots because I saw that their star receiver Colin the transfer I saw that he got hurt he broke his collar bone I think he'll be out for like two months so I saw that and I dropped Louisville by a couple spots because I thought he was going to be a really impactful part of this offense maybe he is maybe he isn't but they look fine without him no disrespect 10 yards per carry Tyler show the transfer from Texas Tech he had four touchdowns this guy had six Touches for 132 yards the defense was incredible seven sacks two takeaways they looked amazing against Austin pay I believe Louisville and Georgia Teck will both be undefeated when they meet in like week five or six I think that will be a crazy impactful game in the ACC keep an eye on that one that'll probably be a top 20 matchup okay in the ACC and that'll there will be a lot riding on that game keep an eye on that one next up I did man I did not want USC to win this game I just wanted LSU to beat USC so I cannot think about him and just keep him off my radar but now USC pulled the upset and I have to admit I was impressed if you're new to the channel the the mic dies in every video anyways okay so I was impressed by USC Miller Moss looked really good listen my whole point the in the offseason was that there is no way that USC is going to be able to replace Caleb Williams and the defense is not going to look that much better the defense looked a lot better now LSU beat themselves several times in certain instances but the defense you still have to give them credit where credits due um Miller Moss played amazing he played amazing the receivers played great they couldn't really run the ball but I still think they did enough the offense looked good the defense looked good USC I may have to readjust listen they have three built-in losses right Penn State um is it Penn State Oregon and Michigan I think those are their three Bill 10 losses no sorry pen or Penn State Notre Dame Michigan they play all those three teams I think they're going to lose all three might beat Michigan now I think they're going to lose all three of those games so their ceiling now instead of eight and4 their ceiling is N9 and three okay whatever but yeah I I have to admit I was impressed they now jump up all the way to number 22 from being unranked fine LSU I'm extremely disappointed Brian Kelly now has not won an opening day game in like half a decade it's embarrassing LSC they just looked so undisciplined multiple like personal foul one sport one Sportsman like conduct it was just undisciplined just bad situationally Garrett nesm he looked fine he looked fine the running back John Emory um he looked good kyen Lacy I mean he looked good until he started doing the dumb with the celebrations and getting un Sportsman like conducts and all that I don't understand that the defense listen man LSU's defense it might be worse than last year let let's start there they gave up like 450 yards to USC I mean come on now bro LSU was a joke defensively I I think they fired the D too so maybe it's just a culture thing I don't understand they got a new defensive coordinator but the players are the same it's making me sick how bad LSU LSU is on defense the secondary is terrible by the way I I forgot who said it but I heard somewhere that major Burns a safety for LSU um that he he for he forone or what's what's the word he declined to go to the NFL just to come back and play for LSU I don't remember who said said that but buddy whoever the said that major Burns does not have a shot in hell at playing on Sundays major Burns might struggle to get on the field in a UFL game major Burns sucks he's like a sixe senior who is still getting like personal foul and sports like conduct penalties all that major Burns sucks okay the secondary sucks it's just the coaching was bad this game they missed their offensive coordinator deeply he left and they they look lost out there so The Season's not over LSU now I it it actually is over that I I thought they had a slight a slight outside chance at making the playoff at 10- two that dream is now dead nine and three is their absolute ceiling but eight and four might be more realistic so LSU they might have to do some I'm not sure man if Brian Kelly goes eight and four this year I I'm not sure man I'm not sure you tell me what happens you tell me what happens to that situation they lose to O Miss they lose to Alabama probably they might lose to Oklahoma it's like they have some tough questions to ask if they go in for this year in terms of Brian Kelly Number 24 I got Liberty um they did not beat Campbell listen I think Liberty's going to go 13 and0 same thing as last year they play in a shitty conference they don't play any power four opponents I don't think I mean it is what it is I mean they're going to dominate I think these bad teams they didn't dominate Campbell by that much the Run game looked great Kaden Suter looked good Quinton Coy is still a really good player the defense was disappointing Liberty is what they are at this point I feel like I have a pretty good grip on what Liberty is they lost a number one receiver to LSU by the way CJ Daniels the transfer another receiver that just did not do much in his new team at least in week one but Liberty man they might be LSU they might run for 400 yard on LSU I'm not sure but Liberty they're I feel like they're gonna I know what they are they might sneak into my top 15 16 at some point just because they're undefeated but I really don't think Liberty is going to change what they do or how they look compared to last season next up Georgia Tech now obviously Georgia Tech with the massive maybe the biggest upset of week one listen FSU was ranked number 10 they were nowhere close to a top 10 or top 15 team I had them at number 19 now they're out of my rankings entirely Georgia Tech they took their spot they beat Georgia State week two and I thought they looked good I mean Hayes King he played better against Georgia State than he did against Florida State um they they've been able to run the ball very well Jamal Haynes the running back he's explosive he's looked good to start the year the defense I think has played very well um yeah Georgia Tech an interesting team and like I said I think they'll be Five-0 by the time they play Louisville or maybe four and0 I think but that game against Louisville if Georgia take can pull that one off they might be a top 15 team nationally that'll be crazy to think about I think it might happen I mean they're already gonna have a top 10 win over FSU if they believe if they beat Louisville as well that would be a top 20 win I mean we could really be talking about a Georgia Tech team that's top 15 top 14 in the country in just after like a month so please keep a close eye on Georgia Tech all you got to do is take take care of business and if they get in the top 20 that would be astronomical um next up we got Kansas State you know I have not been impressed by Kansas State in the off season I did not think this Avery Johnson guy was all that I still don't trust their receivers Kansas State at least in week one is exactly what I thought they were they were a great run game and a good defense but their pass game still leaves a lot to be desired DJ giddens is one of these DJ gens is just another one of these guys that's just way better than donin Edwards but gets no credit gets no love gets no appreciation DJ Gins is a beast he looked good in week one um I gotta see how Kansas state looks they they play some big some big 12 teams some good Big 12 teams they'll probably beat one of them they'll lose to one of them Kansas state they're just nine and three they're a good nine and three team might win 10 with a bowl game but I just don't see them being anything better than that so I can't put them in my top 25 yet UCF is a team that yeah they probably you probably do expect them to beat New Hampshire by this much but brother running for 454 yards in week like come on bro you got to give them credit for that 8.4 yards per carry five touchdowns RJ Harvey another guy who's better than Donovan Edwards 150 yards 12 tou 12 touches two touchdowns I mean yeah KJ Jefferson the new quarterback I think he will be better than what's his name ree plumy the guy they had before I mean UCF the big this this is what I'm talking about man with the depth in the Big 12 Oklahoma State Kansas State UCF like I'm not just talking about the teams at the top like like Arizona and Kansas and Utah I'm talking about the depth that they have in this conference it's a really good conference so UCF have number 27 I thought they look really good week one and I think that UC they're gonna beat Florida I think they're gonna have a really a really big year eight or nine wins I think for UCF this year next up we have Nebraska Nebraska here's the thing they were always around my top 35 whatever but listen seeing Dylan rayola look comfortable and look I mean they made the offense simple right they didn't have to do all this you know this flashy stuff we know how Nebraska's going to play right but seeing it with my own eyes in week one and I understand it's against UTP but it's not like it's against the FCS school it's not like they're you know playing some random ass guys off the street it's UTP it's a FBS school okay I mean they look I mean 40 to7 they ran the ball very very well this is the thing I it really interested me I forgot that they got Isaiah n in the transfer portal by the way if you don't know his story he went to Texas from Wyoming he was a baller at Wyoming went to Texas got hurt got hurt badly before the season even started he never got to break out he never got to really play for Texas he comes now to Nebraska for his third his third his third stop I should say and he looked really good in week one that's a good story I'm happy for him they also got I think Jamal Banks a transfer out of wake four so they got two big time transfer receivers and that is going to you know do wonders for their offense I think they're going to have a really good offense this year and you know listen let's just transition R into number 29 I got Colorado listen listen this was a lose lose situation for Colorado in week one if they beat North Dakota state by 20 nobody would give them any credit because it's an FCS School God forbid they lose to North Dakota state they're getting they're getting hammered they're getting slaughtered in the media oh you lost to FCS School how could you they beat North Dakota State close which is a good FCS it's the best FCS school they're better than several several maybe even a dozen FBS schools North Dakota state is better than North Dakota state has beaten several ranked power four power five opponents the last couple years they've upset them but PE still people give Colorado no credit for beating North Dakota State even though their offense looked incredible shadur Sanders looked like a Heisman candidate Jimmy horn played out of his mind amazing game Travis Hunter looks like the best player on college football um all those things are true listen the defense it still looks bad let's just talk let's break it down the defense was bad last year it had moments this game especially the defensive line the defensive line they kind of shut down North Dakota State's running game which is interesting because it doesn't look like with for 50 yards L North Dakota State's quarterback just killed him they had a lot of tackles for a loss they they kind of shut down there I thought Colorado State's interior defensive line played pretty well the problem is the quarterback killed him by getting out of the pocket breaking contain scrambling picking up first downs Colorado the problem with their defense man they left the middle of the field wide open so many times it's insane I could not believe it's like every single every other play there's just a 20 30 yard Gap right in the middle of the defense whether it's a Texas route by the running back uh a shallow cross a drag whatever the the quarterback breaking off up the middle they left the middle open so many they never had a spy they never had a Lineback they never had a defensive lineman dro back in cover it's like I don't get it man how can you just leave the middle of the field open every play and expect that other teams are not going to be able to take advantage of it so that was the big problem with Colorado's defense um Shiloh Sanders is pretty trash to be honest Shiloh Sanders is just not a very good football player in my opinion but yeah Colorado's defense it still looks like it has a lot of holes a lot of concerns I thought the offensive line played better I thought they did a really good job of protecting shadur I thought he had way but this is the thing right they did a good job last season in the first month right those first three games against Colorado State um TCU and Nebraska they they gave Shad dur time those games as well so I'm going to withhold judgment until I see like mid-season but week one I thought the offensive line played well they just didn't choose to really run the ball I thought when they did they didn't do a bad job but they just chose not to run the ball because they were throwing it so effectively I don't have a problem with that if you get I mean if you're going to get like what 500 yards of offense I don't really care how you do it so I'm not mad at the offense at all yeah a fluke weird interception that like bounced off a guy's leg um but yeah I'm not I'm not happy with the win you definitely want to play better especially defensively but I'm not mad at K I'm not going to drop them from my rankings because they beat the best FCS team so it is what it is that game between them and Nebraska is going to be massive I hope it's a big noon kickoff I'm going to watch every second of that game it's a massive game the one of that game will be like top 25 nationally certainly so yeah that'll be a great game that I'm looking forward to a lot in number 30 I had a dozen different teams I could have put here I'm I'm going keep it Duke um listen the defense with Manny Diaz coming in from Penn State the defense looked great um the offense they still got a receiver and Jordan Moore they lost Jordan Waters they lost Riley Leonard they lost their head coach Jordan Moore the receiver stayed he had a good game they could not run the ball which is very concerning to me because that was kind of their bread and butter last year they lost uh Graham Bart in the offensive lineman obviously but Malik Murphy the transfer he comes in from Texas I didn't think he looked bad obviously you'd want to play better if your defense is playing that well but I think they can't figure it out Duke is a real sleeper in the ACCC and with all these other teams losing I mean they already upset Clemson last year so I think they could pull something like that off again this year I think Duke is going to get off to a fairly good start this year so I'm kind of I'm kind of hitching my wagon to Duke for now at least now now we move on to the teams that are going to be dropped from my rankings do you notice anything here do you notice how terrible the ACC is I mean man where do I start FSU I already made a whole video about this game and breaking it down I mean FSU was just a joke they flew halfway across the world to the bed dju he is what we what we knew he was I'm not going to on dju for being exactly who he is I'm going to on FS for getting him out of the transfer portal and expecting him to ball out when he is I mean it's DJ I mean come on now you cannot expect this guy to be a good quarterback when he has like three straight years of film showing you he's not a good quarterback they couldn't run the ball against Georgia Tech the defense couldn't get a stop when they needed to um they had one one specialty player who had at least 40 rushing yards or 40 receiving yards I mean they they're not good enough they lost too much talent they're not they they're not talented enough as it stands the defense is good it's not great like it was last year I mean yeah I don't know what to say I don't know what to say they were extremely disappointing and I think they're gonna go eight and four this year maybe seven and five uh Clemson got embarrassed to GE I mean listen this is this is right now this next couple minutes is just my pitch to Clemson on why they should fire DAV Sweeny Clemson fans went into this game expecting that they were going to lose this game nobody expected at Clemson even though you have a five-star quarterback and a great defense you have that and no Clemson fan expected to beat Georgia that is all the proof you need that the standard is no longer the standard there I mean by the way I don't know why the Clemson was ranking the top 15 or whatever they're W even close to that but but that's besides the point the standard has fallen so far that even though Clemson used to be on George's level three four years ago five years ago probably like even though they used to be right there they still have a five-star quarterback they still have a good running back they still have a great defense you have those things but you're not even you're not even in the same league you're not and there was a graphic they talked about during the game was like Georgia is the best roster in the country probably and they still got like 11 players out of the transfer portal Clemson's not a good roster Clemson went four- four in the ACC last and they're they're bleeding Talent they are losing people to the transfer portal they're losing their best players to the NFL draft and they're not they're replacing them with high schoolers they're replacing them with high schoolers georg's replacing their losses with five star and power four Talent proven Talent Clemson's not doing that I I believe this is gonna be D's last year if it's not his last year it'll be the last year where the where the fans want him to be there I think he needs to go he his time is up in college football he is he is literally going to run Clemson into to the ground Clemson is going to be unsalvageable by the time he leaves if they do not get him out of here soon um what do I even talk about the game they couldn't run the ball got completely shut down Kate they couldn't throw the ball Kate kumnick looked ass I don't even know it's I can't even judge Kate I don't even know if he's a good quarterback or not because he has no talent to work with and the offensive coordinator is bad this is the crazy thing right remember when they got Garrett Riley from TCU I'm sure Garrett Riley thought when he was going from TCU to Clemson that he was going to have upgrade of talent he downgraded think about this he downgraded in Talent from TCU to Clemson think about that that's probably a crazy thing to think about but he thought he was gonna go to Clemson with all these receivers and all these quarter amazing quarterbacks that's not the case he realized quickly that he's now his reputation is on the line he's probably gonna get fired after this year because it's Davos swen's fault he's not adding talent to this team anymore I mean I've said it before I'll say it again if this was the real world a business world and dbos sunnii was a CEO of a firm and that firm refused let's say that firm ref let's say that firm refused to advertise their product when all of their competitors are advertising their product and Davos Sweeny he's the CEO he just doesn't believe in advertisement he doesn't believe in in tricking or or fooling the consumers right he doesn't believe in that so he's not going to advertise and their sales plummet that firm sales plummet while all their competitors are doing much better than them you know what would happen to DAV Sweeney if he was was a CEO in the real world he would be fired with no second thought but for some reason in college football we like to hang on what people did 10 years ago five years ago we like to give people all these crits we like to use what they did in the past as the crutch and that's what people are doing whenever you're talking about DAV SW should be fired oh he won two national championships okay what does that have to do with what he's doing right before your very eyes running Clemson into the ground they got blown out last year by Duke in the season opener they just got dominated by Georgia they used to be on they used to be the Georgia they used to be Georgia five years ago blowing out teams in week one now they're the ones getting embarrassed they're the ones getting blown out they are the laughing stock at college football right now but people are still going to give that dbo can stay at Clemson as long as he wants okay have fun winning seven or eight games every year have fun this is the thing clemton is irrelevant but the only reason people are so talking about them because they're talking about how far they fall the only reason clemon is still being talked about nationally is because they're it's all negative there's no positive press around Clemson it's all people pointing and laughing or just wondering how did it get to this point that's the only reason Clemson is relevant and that listen not all press is good press Clemson is only getting bad press right now and if they weren't getting bad press they'd be completely irrelevant because they went four and four in the ACCC last year and their ceiling this year is eight and four it's like they're a joke they're a joke nobody takes Clemson seriously anymore and they didn't even they didn't expect they didn't have any hope to win this game that that is how far they have no standard anymore they are a joke they're a punching bag they're a laughing stock and they this game just went to show how far away they are they're not even a year or two away they are a complete transformation of a program away from being amongst the top tier teams anymore I'd say Clemson is like the 40th or 50th best team in the country think about that think about that I had them my top 22 for some reason because I thought maybe the talent would get better no they're the same roster they're they're actually the same roster but wor because they lost most of their best players in the NFL this offseason so it's like they they lost Nate Wiggins they lost will Shipley they lost jermiah Trotter they lost most of their best players so they're actually the same they're actually the same bad team they were last year but worse so yeah Clemson is a joke um they're bad um next up North Carolina even though they won a game against the power four opponent um their season is over because their quarterback got hurt when he was in there he sucked um they could not throw the ball um the defense actually looked pretty good I have to give them credit for that but Minnesota is a joke so I mean yeah I can't even sorry Minnesota's offense is a complete joke it's it's disgusting so I can't even give North Carolina Credit for shutting down that offense um and Minnesota's off sorry North Carolina's offense they could not throw the ball their starting quarterback is now out for the season with a broken leg their backup quarterback could not throw the football and the only chance North Carolina has at all of winning any game this year is by giving am Maran Hampton the ball 35 times like they did this game and just hoping he can make something happen um and if he doesn't they're going to lose if Omari and Hampton has under 150 yards the rest of the season they're probably gonna lose that game so that sucks I hope this guy maybe he should just hold out or something maybe he should just decide not to play you guys I'm going to the NFL because this guy he's GNA get 400 touches this year at this point he's gonna get beat the up I hope that does not happen but I'm afraid that's going to happen for Maran Hampton this year um but yeah North Carol North Carol sorry it's making me SI if North Carolina cannot throw the ball they don't have a shot in hell at being a good team this year so they are now out of my rankings next up SMU now they got dropped because they played very bad against Nevada but they actually bounced back pretty well and played good against Houston Christian I don't know what the situation is with their quarterback Preston Stone I thought he was supposed to be like a really good player this season but their backup has played a lot so far like I don't understand I don't know if there's been an injury or something what Happ I don't know but the backup has played a good amount of time but I mean they still look fine I mean they still have what a thousand yards of offense so far four Touch four passing touchdowns six rushing touchdowns they've been able to run the ball well this is their running back over 200 yards three touchdowns obviously the tight end RJ Maryland one of the better tight ends in the country the defense has played very well so I don't have a lot of complaints really I just I mean they they played bad against Nevada so I have to drop them from the rankings maybe they'll get back there like maybe they'll pass Duke next week if like Duke has a bad game or I mean Colorado Nebraska the loser of that game will probably drop out of my rankings so I think will get back there fairly soon and then A&M man what do I say about A&M the quarterback looked terrible looked absolutely terrible and I understand not like listen hey credit where credits due they made Caleb Williams look terrible so let's take that into consideration maybe we're over a little bit when we call this quarterback awful but I mean they could not throw the ball at all against Notre Dame the defense played well but it can't hold up forever I mean there's just no re why why were they uh why were they favorites how were they favorites in this game I don't understand that um how were they ranked like the top 20 how did people have them ranked in top 20 I don't understand that either I mean it is what it is bro A&M they lost week one to no Dame they're probably not gonna be back in my rankings for a very long time I actually thought I thought they were gonna have a good year this year maybe they still will I think they're going to go like nine and three but yeah this was not a good opening performance if you are a Texas A&M fan wow that is the first rod done out of the way um probably going to be probably going to be a pretty
