Adam Sandlers New Special Was....

n [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Hello everybody welcome into another video today we're going to be talking about the man the m the legend the Phenom whatever you want to call it Adam Sandler and boy oh boy do I have thoughts on his newest comedy special I believe it's called Adam Sandler St the special I love you that's on Netflix I love it I love it but first before we get into the special I'd like to give you a rundown of his career his accomplishments in case you don't know about the boy Adam the man with the Legend So back in the 90s he really uh became famous for his roles in uh movies movies such as Happy Gilmore he also became famous for his role in and in Big Daddy with your boy I believe uh the kid from Sweet Life and Zach and Cody he also if you guys don't know he also contributed or created I should say his uh you know Happy Gilmore happppy Madison Studios and hence that's why it's called Happy Madison he also has stayed with the same group the same sort of posi if you will and it really shows you that Adam Sandler is a very standup dude you know for the most part his his uh movies don't get a whole lot of cloud or praise in terms of the the like I BB rating or the Rotten Tomatoes but the fans seem to love his movies and that's because I believe in movies like uh you know big daddy Just Go With It Happy Gilmore it's relatable comedy it's uh you know comedy that people can just laugh and have a good time with and ultimately I feel like um you know Adam Silvers is someone that you feel like if you see him on the street he's like hey how's it going you know he's one of those guys that you know I feel like you could just uh really connect with and his comedy in my opinion is very relatable a lot like my favorite one of my favorite comedians Kevin James and thank you guys so much for your uh support we got seven people in here but Kevin James is my favorite if you guys don't know Adam Sandler uh has been featured on the King of Queens the King of Queens in my opinion also has some relatable humor as well you know Jerry Stiller uh Leah Remy you got so many people that you know are affiliated in a way with Adam Sandler and with that being said guys I don't know if you saw it but in my opinion I feel like it got off to a very slow start you know it was definitely a a slow buildup Slow Burn but I I feel like Adam Sandler has a way of keeping you entertained with his entertaining music he really has a way of connecting with the audience with his his very unique songs if you guys don't know uh too much about Adam Sandler like myself as I was researching in this video he writes his own music and not only that you know he plays the guitar like a m you know a you know a straight like you never would know that you would think it's played by somebody else that's how good he is like you you know I was impressed when I was starting to watch some of his standup skits and you know just the fact that he was able to really tie in his music to other jokes is really quite unique because like often times he's either tying it into a joke coming up or he's tying a you know a song into a joke that he talked about previously like uh some some notable songs include Mr slowmo uh you know he's had plenty of albums I think they go back all the way to 1993 and you know ultimately I feel like um you know Adam really does a good job of kind of connecting with the audience and well really stood out to me as well is just due to the fact that you know he really uh you feel like he puts a lot of relatability into his jokes you know a lot of comedians I feel like in this day and age they don't really have the relatable flare or touch and like there was one in particular where he was basically talking about how you know Teslas for example you know Teslas and the whole self-driving car aspect and the fact that or no actually my bad it was basically just uh the he was talking about a joke and how you can never hear the the electric cars coming and I feel like I also really Rel to that because where where I live there's a there's a gym right and in that gym parking lot you can never hear the cars coming uh because they're all electric and they're all Teslas and I'm just like man that's super funny because it's so true and you know I I feel like the songs are you know for the most part well thought out yeah they are you know kind of on the silly side but if you guys haven't heard them I mean they're really good in a way to kind of break up the monotony and the slowness because I feel like a lot of comedy specials can be kind of kind of boring and a little bit stale uh so he kind of does a good job of breaking up the monotony of slow um overall you know comedy specials but where I really wanted to get into is because at the end he pays tribute to all kinds of Comedy Legends and man oh you guys have to check it out I can't play it or anything because of copyright reasons but he does a really beautiful job of paying tribute to all the Legends like the uh you know all all the comedy greates Kevin James uh Chris Farley so many more and of course Martin Lawrence and so many others I mean it was a t such a beautiful song so touching and I highly recommend and I give this I give the whole special probably if you take out the song I give the special by itself like a seven but then when you when you bring the song in there at the end and the tribute overall I give it like a you know eight or eight and a half or maybe even a nine I mean it was really good and typically he does kind of uh comedic songs but you know he can actually sing too guys it's not like he's just putting together some crappy overall just uh you know crappy lyrics you know he could sing and he he really puts a lot of passion into that you know that that you know tribute and he really does a good job of of calling out and explaining the beauty behind comedy like what does comedy mean and comedy really is about you know showing people that even in our in our darkest hour we can over coming by comedic like you know Dave Chappelle or Kevin James Chris Farley uh Martin Lawrence by uh so many others that do great great comedy specials and you know I just really found it beautiful and touching because he paid tribute to so many others uh that are are Monumental to so many people's careers and a lot of them he didn't even mentioned that were really associated in his Circle he mentioned some that were in his initial circle like Kevin James and uh the one guy that I'm forgetting the guy's name that you know uh made an appearance on his comedy special but I I really I really love that one it made the whole show essentially it made it worth it for me because initially I was like okay this is solid but it's not as good as this previous one uh I think it's called Fresh out but this one really picked up picked up some steam and you know this gave me a whole another appreciation for Adam Sandler and I I think this really gave me a whole new found respect for comedy as a whole because before I wasn't too familiar with Adam Sandler like I knew about movies like Happy Gilmore I've heard heard of Big Daddy I've heard of Jack and Jill I think that's what it's called I've heard of uh 51 states shout out to my sister because that's her favorite movie but ultimately I I feel like Adam Sandler is really uh having a special place in my heart quote unquote because he's really showing me that his his comedy is very similar to Kevin James which I feel like is awesome awesome I subbed thank you man thank you welcome welcome we cover basketball we cover daughters we cover more but right I'm talking about the comedy Legend Adam Sandler thank you for your support brother thank you I really do appreciate uh but what do you guys think of Adam Sandler do you like him do you hate him do you have you seen the comedy special uh you know I am really gonna be kind of a Adam Sandler Fanboy now and kind of really just dive into his movies I really enjoyed go d uh you know not go Daddy but Big Daddy I thought that was really good and uh you know overall I I really think he's a great guy and he really knows how to um you know just stay relatable stay you know stay honest and if you look at him he doesn't dress and all this fancy clothes he keeps it minimalistic yeah I love Sandler's movies oh yeah man he he's awesome man he really uh now that I kind of actually sat down and watch his movies you know sure are they kind of cheesy and a little bit corny yeah but you could say that about most uh you know my favorite comedian Kevin James but you know they they really do a good job of of you know really making it fun making it fun and you know giving us something to laugh about something to enjoy something to uh kind of uh bring joy in the darkness uh PNG they make you feel good uh love movie love the movie Click uh I believe that's right yeah yeah D I'll have to definitely check that out uh I I'm so glad you guys uh are liking the the movie or you know you like the Adam Sandler stuff uh how let's see uh well uh can you say that again buddy uh sorry it's kind of hard to read from way over here you say how you been bro I've been good how are you um but uh yeah man I I love I love uh you know exploring new things and when a dear friend of mine put me on Adam Sandler I was kind of apprehensive El tell you but uh you know I'm really glad that I got kind of on the train um and I I wanted to give you guys my initial reaction to his latest special and um you know I'm really excited to see what he does I believe there's been reports of Happy Gilmore 2 uh you know Happy Gilmore 2 I think is in production so I'm hoping for some good results there um but yeah I just wanted to give you guys is my initial uh first first crack at it first take and we're going to do plenty more videos like these uh but if you guys have any questions comments and concerns uh then I'll take some comments uh PNG said yeah I applied to be in the movie yeah dude hope hopefully you get it man that'll be awesome uh you know I I think if you do man you'll be eted in greatness you'll be eted in so yeah man I mean I believe I've seen parts of Happy Gilmore but not not enough to say oh like not to say I have an opinion on it if that makes sense so yeah guys if you haven't checked it out I highly recommend it um you know and you know for the most part I feel like Adam Sandler is one of those guys you love him or hate him but I feel like a lot of people that say they hate him is just because you know they haven't seen his movies and actually sat down and watched his content you know so just I would recommend watching his content uh you know giving it a chance actually watch all the way through Big Daddy or yeah I think it's big daddy or watch The King of Queens he mainly shows up in the later Seasons yo what up Johnny what up mat joining joining in late my apologies what what's your thoughts did you did you see it are you an Adam Chandler fan do you not like him what's your overall take per uh p&v said uh party just getting started hey yes sir and I also wanted to talk to you guys about big brother because big brother is also becoming one of my favorite shows as well um you know I really like the competitions I mean the wall the wall competition I really like Tucker Tucker is my new favorite contestant I know I'm behind on some episodes my big brother is one of my favorites as well Johnny said haven't seen the special I I mess with Adam Sandler though oh dude the special is legit man the special were really tug at your heart strings especially towards the end uh and then uh you know but man he if you guys don't know he has a special contract with with Netflix and this man got paid and it's welld deserved so uh it was a beautiful ending absolutely man the ending made the whole show for me uh you know and I feel like you know he's kind of changing the game with uh you know a lot of he's kind of bringing comedy back to what it was supposed to be you know it's all about bringing joy and spreading hope and awareness and not having other agendas tied to it you know if that makes sense so overall Adam Sandler is my I'll be honest and say that he's my second favorite comedian I still would probably put him up there with Kevin James Uh Kevin James is my favorite I I have a special place in my heart for the show The King of Queens I really love Jerry Stiller's character as well Arthur Spooner PNG said uh and uh being able to uh let's see random comedy uh sorry bro it's kind of hard to see from way over there but yeah dude it's yimy what up bro what up what up man you said mad brother what's up um I fa for missing the the lunch stream hey no worries man no worries it was just a brief random kind not sporadic but you know kind of just something that I thought of off the top of the Dome hopefully you guys enjoyed it I think Dave Chappelle is my standup go ah yeah Dave Chappelle is good I was with a friend of mine I was listening to Dave Chappelle um and he he's pretty funny man I know he's they been definitely been in some out water but I I would say him Dave Chappelle obviously Chris Farley's up there uh Adam Sandler obviously you can't forget the legend that came before all these guys you know uh I'm kind of blanking on their names but I know there's a ton of Comedy Legends and I know a lot of you a lot someone in here is a particular uh comedic expert PNG over there so he's gonna be like man you forgot this guy and you forgot this guy I know I know I'm forgetting names here uh I love Dave yeah who who you know the better question is is you know how could you not like when people make you laugh you know what I mean uh Dave Eddie Murphy uh Richard prior are the greatest yeah dude I've heard of those guys of course Eddie Murphy I believe he was in Zombie Land right Zombie Land was pretty solid uh Johnny said Dave Chappelle definitely doesn't hold back on his comedy uh that's a huge part of his success well dude uh as they say honesty is the best policy you know what I mean so I I think uh you know I definitely think there's a level of of kind of tactfulness quote unquote but again you like for example I was watching uh kill Tony I was watching a segment on kill Tony and one of the the comedians that was up on kill Tony had the same condition as me cerebral py and one of the particular comedians or judges whatever you want to call them asked uh the comedian that has real I'm blinking on his name PG please throw it in the chat here uh but uh he asked him can you D like can you drive cars and this particular uh you know particular person with three py he kind of got a little bit uh offended by that but in my case I would have been like you know what man uh that's a good question can I drive cars me particularly uh I have attempted to be able to drive vehicles but you know I think it'd be better for me just due to my uh what do you call it reaction time to be able to say you know I don't think it's safe for not only for me just due to my reaction time to to drive a vehicle I mean obviously we've thought about getting the hand controls but given the fact that you need to be able to drive a van with the lift and the Vans aren't very good in terms of maneuverability I guess quote unquote so I thought you know what the guy asked in terms of the Kil Tony judge I thought he asked a very reasonable and realistic question can you drive cars but at the same time I feel like uh that guy Martin Phillips got a little bit offended by it but I personally thought you know it's a reasonable question now there there's particular people that I've encountered in my life that depending on how they ask the question I might be offended by what's being said but I for me particularly I had no uh problem with what was being said you said kill Tony is amazing yeah dude it's pretty good I do like a lot of aspects of that and I I find it very fascinating still to this day uh that that certain people with disabilities right like withy for example if you guys don't know much about it it's a spectrum type thing so one particular individual could have uh they could be able to walk but they can't talk or one one person can can uh talk but they can't really walk or they have Li mited motor function and they can't really move their hands very well or whatnot so it's very interesting to see how how uh he like if you guys will go to watch that little clip or whatnot he kind of also struggles to speak and whatnot obviously his comedy was good but it's very interesting to see how that plays out Johnny said man I can't really read that to be honest I'm going to do my best I mean uh uh to many that's a personal question so I can see why he could uh he could be upset by that question especially coming from a guy he doesn't know very well yeah very very true man but for me what I what I Tred to look at is intent what is your intent what is your motive are you coming at it from a a place of wanting to learn or are you just trying to be a jerk about it and I think for me like if I would have saw that or been asked that question I would be like you know what man uh you know I would have kind of analyzed it be like you know what's his intent is he trying to learn or just trying to be uh to just ask a serious question or if he was trying to be a jerk then maybe I would have been a little bit snarky with him but overall guys I I love kill Tony I I think I'm really really getting more into the comedy scene obvious obviously I know this is super old but you know I'm watching Martin you know the Martin Lawrence comedy show from like the 90s so yeah man I highly recommend watching the special I love the special I you know I I think obviously he mentioned some really notable Legends will frell was there and in the comedy tribute Chris barley Kevin James uh you know the the three St you know the you know a lot of actors that I wasn't even really aware of but I've seen them in movies before they were they were in there uh yeah honestly sometimes people ask stupid questions to be an a-hole yeah dude for sure uh yimy said Matt what are your uh let's see what are the chances of you covering uh Christmas songs and making a Christmas album oh what like you mean give a reaction and then put my favorite album together of Christmas songs I mean if I don't get copyrighted I I would do it Matt's Christmas album is drao and Su well purple and gold says it and he's my advisor so we gota we got to make it work but But ultimately I I really what do you guys think of the shorts format in terms of streams do you like it do you do not like it what's what's your take on the shorts format uh we're trying something new to engage with a more you know mobile friendly audience so let me know your thoughts on this and what's you what do you think about this because I think I think we may have found something here but uh dude I can't wait I can't wait to talk to you guys about Big Brother uh you know you guys would love big brother I do like the style of the stream I do like the style of the stream to be honest hey man glad to hear it so let me give you guys a quick synopsis of Big Brother to maybe get you guys intrigued obviously the US version and you know this is the first ever season I watched so it it's great I don't know about the previous Seasons but uh from what I've told from very very reliable sources it's pretty sick uh maybe that's why I haven't watched big brother the Canadian the Canadian one got cancelled I never knew oh yeah dude uh some I I feel like now correct me if I'm wrong but some particular variant of a show don't carry over well to other audiences for example like I don't know like for example Storage Wars for example I think they tried to do all kinds of different variants of the storage war TV show and it never really carried over very well yimy Garcia says boys have you watched Love is Blind no man am I gonna be blind to love absolutely it's a brain it's a it's a brain uh it's a okay my bad I I'm struggling but yeah uh I have not seen love was blind Sor these comments on screen right up there they're tiny they're tiny I don't know why they're so stupid tiny quick story so ever since I was born I haven't really been much of a reader and the reason why is because sometimes when I'm reading something I lose my place in the text that's being written so if it's a long thread of text sometimes I often have to go back and reread it one because the text is too small so I L lo my place or if there's a lot of text I often lose my place within that text so then I have to struggle and go back and reread it it's because my eyes have a I have a tracking issue within my eye so even if I wee glasses sometimes I still have that tracking issue within me reading font so that's why sometimes I often go for an like let's say for example the Audi books for example I really love audiobooks because I don't have to struggle to read it or like let's say if I'm reading something it has to be pretty uh reasonably large font otherwise I I really struggle to to see small font or track what's being said on screen so that's probably why I don't like reading very much um but man uh can you guys see this bracelet here by chance this bracelet right here this was given to me on my birthday this has every branch of the military on it uh if you guys didn't know my grandpa my grandparents served in the military so my stepgrandpa gave me this bracelet or my grand my grandma gave me this bracelet because this was hers and my stepgrandpa gave my brother the other one so this if you guys are wondering this has all the branches of the military so for Navy Marine Corps you know all the branches so I wear this now it's a part of my my uh you know typical routine uh if you guys didn't know I used to not be a bracelet fan at all I hated bracelets but you know now now it's kind of been a part of my overall routine here but uh have you guys seen any new movies TV shows uh whatnot shout out to the military for sure yeah man they do a lot of great you know they keep our country safe and uh they definitely do a lot to uh a lot to uh keep our dreams alive I'm uh let's see I'm all in the bracelets I wish I had what uh I'm all on I'm all I'm all in on bracelets I wish I had some Hey Brother these are unique these are unique because they're custom uh you know one I don't think I'd ever get this military bracelet maybe if I bought one online but this other one that I'm wearing if you guys can see it right here kind of sort of right let me move tell you guys right now I never really knew what I wanted to do I've always known that I wanted to do something in commentary sports related but I never really knew how to achieve that and I was always told growing up oh that you should start a channel oh thatt You' be great as a sports broadcaster oh you know basketball very well you're you're a uh basketball encyclopedia my cousins call me so I I would say to anybody that has the same passions or similar passions as me start a channel go after your goals go out and achieve it and one piece of advice I can give you never allow your fear of failure to stop you just continue to go after because what's the worst thing that could happen you could just not want to do it but not wanting to do it is going to hamper your dream more than any hater more than anybody on this planet uh let's see so just continue to go after your dream you said what's up been a minute since I've been on your channel just saw your live I thought I'd stop by
