Neil Magny still believes that he can rise to contention no number next to his name tonight but he continues to work on his striking under Christian Allen cardio is next level and Neil Magny believes half guard for him here and a lot of offensive options I would think at his disposal oh he's got a ton of options he has submission options but I believe the safest option for him here is going to be to use his ground and pound build a base posture up throw big strikes get back position B poer again throw big strikes and just really wear him down with a really secure position in half mag's in half guard big ground and pound and very effective with the ground and pound hand fight hand fight oh we'll see if he postures up and can get some of his ground strikes going here oh nice there oh how good is that as he gets out that is great submission defense keeping everything short and not allowing his opponent to get the submission Victory oh how about the speed on that reversal there I mean I know you can get out of some bad spots but not with that type of speed you cannot allow him to get leverage on the bottom what a sweep takes his back now 30 seconds to go on the round working off of his back here looks like he may try to hip Escape inside the closed guard now I mean he went right into his full guard what does he do to try to advance himself to give it more of an advantage on the M now got to be careful though he's got a lot of submissions off his back and there you go again half guard oh to the m he's got to start throwing now oh he postures up in a big head strike by Magny all right so yet another ground and pound Strike Lanes right there DC he's getting very active now that he knows he can land these strikes changing the [Applause] position he's having his way with him here takes the back now going for the rear naked choke oh that rear naked choke looks tight pretty athletic off his back to avoid that strike from the top just over two minutes to go all right he's in a half guard position here DC and in a good spot to D out a lot of damage I think a lot of damage can be done from the half guard you sit back back on that leg you press down into your opponent you drop elbows drop punches what is very key is you controlling the underhook on the far side if you give up that underhook your opponent can use the half guard to build up to an elbow sweep or just chase out a s well a really good second round for him thus far after a somewhat lackluster first round he has found the Rhythm and found his striking range scary proposition for the opponent now here in round two that's one of those shots that if you take one of them if you end the night that one landed right on the spot so pretty good recovery by the opponent after getting stunned pretty good got to capitalize on those opportunities I mean you can't waste these opportunities you don't get them as often as You' like so you get a guy hurt you got to find a way to finish the fight pretty good work with the strikes here off of his back by magnet 10 minutes in the books all right buddy sit down catch your breath slow that heart rate down in through that nose good that was awesome man that was some of the best counter fighting I've ever seen all right a lot of tremendous striking action in that last round DC I know you don't have a Tor but take us through the replay I mean I would love to have my telestrator right now that was a great display of highlevel mixed martial arts striking both combatants stood toe to- toe and let it all hang out you ready to fight ready round three of a taking shots over and over again to that area and now he's dealing with a cut well anytime you are in a ground fighting situation with this fighter you're potentially playing with fight and there you go again half guard now potentially working on a submission instead oh that b flute joke is tight oh that's got to be it oh somehow he's having a leverage a hip looks like he's going to get out he did a really good job there of creating action getting his body off to one side as he's bridging then back into him to release a little bit of that pressure on the Von Futo might be a submission attempt hands out or guys start to attack triangle oh that K is tight oh he escapes he got out I mean wow that is great submission defense well sometimes our stat guys are stingy with the submission attempt numbers there have been a lot of them here submission defense has held up every step of the way yeah he's a great grapple and he's really really good defensively because he is so aware of all situations when he's on the ground he has done an amazing job staying out of those submissions effective punch from the clinch there by S all right very late in the fight now DC I know we don't have open scoring but correct me if I'm wrong he needs a submission or he's losing this fight he is not a big puncher so he needs to get round in case submission under two minutes now with which to work well this is exactly the sense of urgency you're looking for try to take the judges out of it he is lighting them up now s's nose is bleeding now yes looks as though he got cut by one of those offerings from his opponent big shot to the Head the fighter separate and follow up with another one one minute to go in the fight magney uppercut to the head that one though blocked by the [Music]
