welcome to Provo Utah LVL Edwards Stadium home to the 1984 National Champion BYU Cougars and this one of the more intimidating venues in all of college football what a game and what potential drama we have in store you've seen this script before top 10 team goes into a quadron of emotion on the road and just hopes to be able to get out and tell about it as we'll see a team fresh and ready to go off of by week the Oklahoma State Cowboys taking on another team from the Big 12 and an Interra conference matchup the BYU cougar for EA Sports the Cowboys will put tot leather to crank us up he'll bring it out from inside his own 10 and he's going to be brought down on the return but there is a penalty flag on the field I'm not sure what this one's about I'm not sure he knew he had the face mask there tried to let it go in time but couldn't it's a penalty on the defense from the gun leaves it on the inside with the back you'll take four yards on first down every time second and six from the gun they'll try to impose their running game he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple so already they've hit a speed bump on this opening drive it's third and eight from the gun wants to pass and the incomplete pass will bring up fourth down BYU will bring the punt team on the field this will be their first punt of the afternoon boots his first of the day away was called on four times in the victory last week cover guys do their job and they get him stopped at the 22 yd line the Cowboys offense will get the ball for the first time as we take a look at our impact players for this one what are you looking for Jesse for a guy to make an impact well these are simply put the leaders of this football team and generally games go how these guys play if they make plays they've got a shot to win this no doubt they got to show up these are the team leaders these guys have to play well if they're going to win the football so the officials spy that face mask penalty and the offense gets a first down the offense will gladly take a fresh set of downs after the penalty wants to throw on first down off the play fake coming after just gets rid of the football nobody to throw it to it'll be second down couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they throw it again looking to pass it's Bowman he finds his man and they'll stop him just short of the first down just inches away from moving the sticks and with this place rocking the crowd forces a false start false start the officials offer the deal and the coach accepts it they will take the penalty looking to throw on third shoots it to the left makes the grab plenty of room on that play and they find their way to the 36 and the Cowboys in the hurry up and listen the defense knew coming into this one they were going to Target him early and often he is a weapon and there's no mystery where the quarterback's going to be looking on critical down and distances let's see how they are able to cover him throughout the rest of this game on second down looking to throw grabbed over the middle it's Foster and they reacted well to the completion but it was too late to keep them from getting the first down one running back in the back field and he has it and he's stuffed by that big defensive tackle up front they got nothing on the last play it's second and 10 trying play action fires to the wide out touchdown Cowboys and they made it to the house where they found that six points waiting on them and what a nice start for this offense the throw game getting working getting the touchdown pass this quarterback getting a little bit of confidence this passing game getting in a rhythm nice start for this offense [Music] getting set for the point after extra and the extra point is good and it's 7 nothing a 70 yd touchdown drive and the scoring play comes on a touchdown pass from 22 yds out looking for an alley from inside his own 10 not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 BYU has it the Cougars ready to get into that Playbook now after that run there in pretty good shape at the 30 yd line the big pickup on first down leaves them with second and one they go to the ground able to work it to the 39 yd line and that'll be a first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs looking to go up top on first down and this will be incomplete a big hit there forces second down couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they throw it again on second down just keeps firing got his man in the middle he's really close to that first down marker but they stop him just a bit short third down coming up after the completion looking to throw for it catch in the middle it's Roberts and good job running that route to get past the sticks because he got nothing after the catch he'll just keep slinging it fires it beautifully in on the Crosser he works his way inside the 30 down to the 29 and picks up a first down looking to move it through the air on target they make the stop trying to pick up just a little bit at a time to get to that first down Mark after that last completion it's second down looking for a f physical attack from the gun and they'll bring him down but not before he picks up the first down the Cougars come to the line with a fresh set of downs caught in the back field it's Roberts they get it down to the seven on that pass play in Prime position for a score going to work on second down in the red zone is still some ground to cover to pick up that first down quick release by the QB the defense wouldn't let him lose there and it was a completion but they lost yardage not a lot of ground to cover and not much to defend a big third down in the red zone and that's incomplete a Defender all over him knocked the ball to the ground fourth down coming up they'll play it safe and send out the field goal unit it's good [Music] so they were able to put up the threee spot on that last drive and now the kickoff team out there as they prepare to put boot to leather and it'll come out to the 25 no attempt at a return Oklahoma State hoping to get the pistols firing on offense Jesse looks to take it down the field for backto back touchdowns I think it's really important for them moving forward too to have a lot of balance right you want to be able to keep this defense guessing col yeah and you got me searching for answers after that last drive you stack another drive on top of this their defense's heads are going to be spinning all over the place they weren't able to get that one off it'll be a delay of [Applause] game so so frustrating to see an offense lose track of the play clock and pick up a penalty like that right back to him on the ground got it across the 20 and out to the 23 a pick up of four third down conversions are a huge stat and this one would be a doozy if they can pull it off he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three the Cowboys will line up to pun it away [Applause] signals for the fair Catch and looks it in at the 40 offense set on first [Applause] down out of the shotgun they go to the ground what a Nifty run there to pick up the first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs quarterback flips it ahead quickly to the receiver not much working there it'll be second and nine kept it on the ground on first down now back to the line looking to throw on second down the short hands it's Roberts and a nice grab there big pick up down to the 35 yd line off the play fake on first first down to throw and the pass is incomplete and that wraps up the first quarter we're through one period and these receivers are showing out big time take a look at the [Music] stats now to see if these guys can get back in the game in the second quarter couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they throw it again on second down he'll let it L and the ball is picked off takes it the other way he's at the 30 he's at the 10 and it's going to be a pick six touchdown Cowboys what a play by this defense with a pick six and how about the defender exactly what you're supposed to do breaks on the football makes the interception everybody on defense we turn to offense go lay some blocks so my guy can get it and take it back to the house lining up to tack one more onto that lead and the extra point makes it 143 and for a quick update let's go to Kevin Conor's in the studio guys right back to your game after we update the nation on this one Mississippi State delivered The Knockout blow early in this one on route to the type of win that can turn some heads there in the trust me when I say the party is on in St and the pass it's picked off he didn't get a lot on the return but man he set his offense up at the 30 this is obviously a great start for this quarterback here two interceptions already in this game he's got to do a much better job with his decision [Applause] making Oklahoma state has it back and the offense is on the field after punting the last time they had it they ought to be set up for a much better result with this drive this offense better be licking their ch you're not going to start with better field possession than this all game did you ain't lying forget about the last possession and what we did you're already in scoring position take care of that football make sure you get some points looking for a crease it's Gordon they finally make the stop with the big run is plenty to move those sticks for the first down and the Cowboys have pushed it inside the 20 to the ground he's got it again they'll pick up four four second and Six coming going to work in the Red Zone they can't pick up the first down without getting it into the end zone looking downfield it's Bowman using the quick game he's brought down but there's a flag on the play let's see if it stands pass defense and the defender just way too handsy on that last play you could see all the contact as the ball was in the air you simply can't do it and the referee's CAU wide receiver coming across in motion quarterback touch pass on the Jet Sweep that's what you expect from a senior don't give them any extra yards great tackle there trying to barge in Into The End Zone he goes touchdown Oklahoma State they are seizing control and taking away hope as they push out the lead in this week eight show down man did he show some hops for that one some serious vertical right there I tell you what everybody in front of you hey I'll go by air if I need to good job getting in the air getting the [Music] touchdown now they'll wind up for what they hope is automatic and with the extra point they're on top by 18 a very efficient five-play scoring Drive and they capped it off with a one yd plunge he'll start the return inside is five didn't find any crease in that kickoff coverage and he'll be stopped at the 17 the BYU offense headed back out to go on the attack well let's see if this drive goes better than the last one they were in and out quickly after the quick pick David yeah first play big mistake man now let's get this offense in a little bit of a rhythm maybe before you open it up again or do you trust him right away uh he seems to me like the guy maybe that just needs to kind of get into the flow of the game so maybe you get the running game going here and just give him some easy looks to let him get L it's first and 10 from the [Music] 31 from the gun the running back tries to hit the hole they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one lost one on that last one it's second and 11 he's looking to throw and the pass rush is effective and they tackle him at the 19 you know zone blitzes are so hard to identify if you're a quarterback and sometimes there's small indicators that can give it away maybe it's a defensive end standing up in a two-point stance maybe it's DBS piggybacked over top of each other in coverage but if you don't see it you might get hit in the back of the head and we might as well State the obvious first and second down didn't work out third and very very long looking to throw and he needs a bunch he looks that one in nicely and he's not going to make it the defense denying him the first down looks as if BYU will have to pun it away excellent coverage that time didn't give him any room to set up a big return Oklahoma State hoping to get the pistols firing on offense caught in the back field it's Gordon he's brought down but there's a flag on the field let's see what the call is so the decision has been made and the coach will take the penalty and now on second down for this offense from the gun running back on the Move good pick up on the ground they'll Mark him down at the 39 after the last run would you just give it to him again on third down to the air it's Bowman oh he's going to try to hit him deep and they can't make the connection on third down the Cowboys line up to punt it away this will be the second time they've had to kick it away you'll call for the fair catch here a first down for the offense [Applause] he wants to throw caught in the back field it's Roberts this quarterback right now is in a Groove and he's doing a nice job in PR now he's reading the coverage and he's getting an idea of where he wants to go with the football that's why the ball's coming out of his hands so quickly that's why he seems like he's in a great Rhythm and good coverage by the defense just a short gain and now on third down after that last run feeling some heat they're setting up the screen good tackle there to stop him short of the first down it'll bring up a big decision BYU will bring the punt team on the field they'll look to pin him deep surprisingly makes a fair catch just outside the 40 yd line Oklahoma state has it back and the offens is on the field they missed an opportunity to extend this lead the last time they had it Jesse yeah they got to be able to regain that momentum right go back to what was working earlier on in this one and day but to me that starts with being the more physical team oh I definitely agree being the more physical team but understanding the situation of the game you're still winning you got the football back now put a nice drive together and execute now they'll line it up from the 44 on First and 10 they'll run it out of the shotgun they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one lost one on that last one it's second and 11 now they're going to throw it right on the money to the outside he dragged the toe and how about the ball placement only the receiver could get it and that's first for the off they're going to run it trying to fight his way through that tackle but he's brought down got stuffed on first down it's second and 10 second down the p and throw off the RPO and the defense settled in to stop that one for a short gain as we reach the two-minute warning they'll need to try to get a stop to keep this thing from getting out of hand to the air it's Bowman unloads to the wide out and they'll miss the connection here on third down it's wise not to be too greedy and they'll go ahead and send out the field goal unit and this field goal attempt will be a 48 Y and not straight on from the left side didn't make him sweat at all it's good and now the lead is extended a littleit further they're really starting to extend that lead as they get ready to kick it away again on the run from inside his zone five didn't find any crease in that kickoff coverage and he'll be stopped at the 17 BYU has it back the Cougar's ready to get into that Playbook he's going to pass they find themselves in a pretty deep hole here but maybe a chance to grab a little momentum and regroup at half time yeah a big chance like this is this is an opportunity this is the biggest opportunity in front of them in the game right now you got to get some point and the defense makes a play sacking him back at the 10 timeout is called and it's the defense wanting to make sure that everyone's on the same page for this big down out of the gun they give to the back only a short gain on that run defense played it well the defense uses their second timeout of the half as they try to get their act together looks as if BYU will have to punt it away doesn't say much for your drive when you're looking forward to the punt and the punt team able to smack him to the ground offense getting set for first down he's looking to throw it got rid of it in a hurry but he couldn't find his man it's incomplete they'll spread the defense out going five wide on second and 10 he's looking to throw he'll take a shot and swatted down by the defense to stop the scoring opportunity now facing a third and long to the air it's Bowman throwing right another incompletion on third down and the Cowboys will send out the punt unit no opportunity to run it back as the ball goes out of bounds the BYU offense headed back out to go on the attack these guys have taken some body blows in the first half but now a chance to do something to feel a little better going into halftime ree they got to respond now they they they got to put points on the board right here cut into this defic create a little bit of momentum cuz this one's going to get out of hand otherwise yeah there are a lot of offenses out there that might just say okay let's just regroup and figure and he is finding wideopen Defenders all over the field his third interception of the day and they'll close in on him after a good return on the interception tell you what when you come out of your own End Zone you know you know shadow of your own End Zone a lot of bad things can happen you want to got to get a few first downs get some space so if you punt after that point you can pin them a little bit deep this is the exact opposite of what happened now you set them up in beautiful scoring field position already really bad play by the offense wasting no time throwing on this drive got his man quickly got the completion on the last play still some work to do on second down second down he's looking to throw grabbed in the middle it's Owens good throwing catch takes it down to the five as the offense tries to cash in running out of time here in the first half they're going to have to be efficient to put some points on the board before the break touchdown Oklahoma state and they'll put that scoreboard operator to work and put six on the board offense did exactly what it's supposed to do with a start like that one when you're set up with that field position you're thinking touchdowns you're not thinking field goals it's exactly what the offense does takes advantage of great field position they'll try to add another to their lead point and with the extra point they push the lead out a little further you get that touchdown right before the half build the momentum and the last thing you need to do is mess it up by allowing a big kickoff return on the move from inside is five just never had a chance to shake loose and he'll be brought down at the 24 it's first down but the offense is just going to take a knee and go to the locker room first half in the books time now to join Kevin Connor in our halftime update fellas looks like we've got a great atmosphere today in proo an entertaining first half and we've got a multi-p possession lead to break down thanks to the surgical Precision of this offense might honestly take more time to talk about what didn't work than what did the running game the passing game Gadget plays have worked now it's just a matter of finishing the job and with that let's send it back to our broadcast team inside lavel Edwards Stadium BYU about to kick it off to open the second half away he'll bring it back from inside to five he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 Oklahoma State hoping to get the pistols firing on offense get some work done there pick up of four to the 22 after the productive first down play it's second and six they'll keep it on the ground got room at the 35 and he was loose and out the gate and doesn't go down until he gets to the 48 yd line this guy's been so much fun to watch all year long every single week he's making Defenders look silly trying to tackle him with that last play now over a th000 yards rushing on the season you look to be backed up and then suddenly you're not big play has them across the 50 and they'll have it first and 10 and the ball slipped out defense falls on the ball going to be a turnover I'll tell you honestly I don't know what that player could have done to hold on to that football that Defender absolutely popped him he knocked him in the next week there was no chance he was holding on to that ball they'll open this drive from their own 42 yd line a quick pass to the left they stop him almost immediately short gain there and still a little ground to cover to pick up the first after trying the running game let's see if they do it again on second down throws to the wide out makes a connection and the defense makes the immediate tackle but he has enough for the first down looking to move it through the air snag in the middle it's Roberts and he's brought down after a nice game this offense hasn't found the end zone yet starting to move it's first and 10 fires to the wide out and that one's incomplete worth taking a shot there but couldn't hook up after the misfire now on second down looking to throw it again he got a hand in there knocks it away incomplete a little less room to work with now the balls had the 28 and it's third and long they're trying to get to it and the quarterback is toast back at the 35 on Third and long you know what's coming that's exactly where you want to get an offense the passing game has to come out you go nickel bring some more speed on the field and the defensive line gets home and gets the sack to force the fourth down they'll try to get something out of this drive and kick the field go here on fourth down he's going to reach for a long one a 52 yd attempt it's good we check in with Kevin Connors what's going on Kevin two very different emotions inside the locker rooms of these teams who did battle today Houston endured a hostile crowd and the challenge that always comes with playing away from clutch City and the cougs came away with the win it wasn't a blowout but it is is still a w the circle of life in college football where one team moves on feeling like kings and the other heads home licking its wounds yeah how about that sounds as if they had a good ball game there Kevin thanks for the update they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one a third and long coming up here to the air it's Bowman fires to the right it's caught such a big hard to convert these third downs and they've got it at the 42 the Cowboys will snap it on First and 10 from the shotgun the hand off to the back he's brought really nice stop there from this senior leader they'll line up for a second down play the run from the shotgun keeps the legs moving and he's knocked down but there's also a flag that's been dropped let's check on the call so the decision has been made and the coach will take the penalty offense gets set for second down just feeds the running back and you can forget running in the middle against this defense I'm not positive but that first down marker might be in the next County from the gun they'll try to impose their will and how about that alertness and that swarming D to keep him from getting the first down and the Cowboys send out the punt unit he's getting a lot of work fourth time he's punted tonight fair catch called for and made line gets set first down the give to the tail back defense not budging he's still able to get two to the 29 after picking up a couple at second and eight they'll try the run defense closed down quickly after a gain of three they'll mark it at the 32 when you've already set your punter out four times at least he knows he's going to get his varsity letter and his leg might get a bigger workout if they don't convert caught near the sticks it's Roberts they make the stop but not before they do their work up top and pick up a first down and in this offense you know as a quarterback you're going to get opportunities to put up some pretty big numbers you've been impressed watching this guy play early this year with that last pass completion he's now already over 2,000 yards on the Seas [Applause] season now they'll try to cash in this drive first and 10 from the 50 use the play fake now to throw and it's incomplete if you're going to take a hit like that you might as well hang on to the ball after the quarterback and receiver failed to hook up they'll try it again on second down here's the hand hand off they'll give him four on that one it's third and six trying to pick up a first down on Third and long he's going to have to throw for it he's got his man and the catch was one thing and the Run even better a big pick up on that one this BYU offense set up with another first down it's complete and a good job of coverage by that defense just a short pick up second down coming up he's looking to throw finds his tight end they make the stop but there is a flag on the field we'll see what that's all about personal foul defense it's been said over and over you have to protect players head and neck area this penalty so important at the college level from the gun running back gets to give he works his way all the way down to the three and the defense is reeling see if they can get it done on second and goal he's looking to throw it's complete and he will score touchdown cougar sometimes we ask coaches about halftime adjustments and they go BL blah blah blah blah I think sometimes they make some good ones sometimes that blah blah blah blah blah actually works but it's working now but it might be too little too late but at least you got the party started he'll try to tack on one more they knock through the extra point but they still Trail 3113 about to kick it off after punching it in for the touchdown Oklahoma 31 here he comes from inside his own five nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 Oklahoma state has it back and the offense is on the field looking downfield it's Bowman It's On Target and complete he'll get it up to about the 32 yd line before he stopped and it'll be first down fresh set of downs after the completion looking for room it's Gordon and he gets it to the 45 Y Line and that'll be a first down give him 96 yds on the ground and he has his eyes fixed on leading the nation and rushing might as well run him until they stop him he's got it again when you're a defense it is stop the run first that is your first responsibility it makes the whole game easy and right now they got it going on the ground the defense is going to have to change something up these little tiny Dink and dunk Dink and dunk you keep doing this they'll go all the way down the field on you so you might want to get a little bit more aggressive guys that's the end of the quarter and Oklahoma state has the lead here and as we switch ends of the field let's take a quick look at the national rankings one more period to go and we'll see just how much fight they've got left in them third and short coming here right from the Midfield strike power football with the Run he gets the job done on third down they move the chains it's at the 37 maybe this will breathe a little life into this offense which has been flatlined in the second half here's first and 10 ball start off the officials offer the deal and the coach accepts it they will take the penalty out of the gun the inside hand off to the running back that's what you expect from a senior don't give them any extra yards great tackle there the RPO fire complete to the left and that defense pushing him out of bounds after a short gain seventh play of the drive coming up but a long way to go on third down third looking to throw it's Bowman they're bringing heat always a welcome play for the defense as they get a sack at the 47 that's an interesting call going play action on Third and long because the defense is not worried about you handing the football off that's not freezing anybody especially these defensive ends they're going right up the field you saw that time the pocket collapse as they were able to get to the quarterback the Cowboys will punt this one away they may have to pay him overtime he's punting for the fifth time today yet another punt on the way and to make sure that hamstring stays loose he's been busy BYU has it back the Cougar's ready to get into that Playbook they'll throw it on first down and this will be incomplete a big hit there forces second down couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they throw it again on second down he'll let it fly and that's going to be incomplete a lot of contact on the play but no Flags it'll be third down at this point of the game in the fourth quarter it is going to be tough for this offense to get some completions here because now trailing by this much the defense is expecting pass and they're putting a whole bunch of extra DBS on on the field to help them out in coverage they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here on third down he'll try to pick it up through the air he's missed three in a row now with that last incompletion down by multiple possessions they can't come up empty on this drive in the fourth quarter quarter they'll go for it on fourth down and they get to him and sack the quarterback and they'll stop the drive on downs and I get it at this point in the second half dude we got to make something happen we we haven't been good enough we got to score a lot of points and quickly you got to be aggressive they tried they failed again um this game is all but over Oklahoma State hoping to get the pistols firing on offense they had to punt it away on their last position possession but man what great field position this time I mean this is awesome like last possession didn't go great now you're set up in an opportunity to get some points start thinking about what plays I like Jesse as I cross the 50 there are a lot of offensive coordinators out there David and in this position they like to take a shot right away and try and capitalize on this field position offside defense and you got to focus right the first thing you're looking at as a defensive linan the first thing you understand is the ball starts with a snap count I I have to line up see the ball when the ball moves I move I know it's simple but you still see guys jumping off sides all the time the tackle is made but he's got it first and goal from the six Oklahoma State they'll try to get it in with the Run he's got it down to the one yd line right on the door step of per second and goal coming up tries again to get it in pistols firing touchdown Cowboys and the puming has started they're on the board again and it looks as if this winning streak is going to continue this is a guy that put a lot of pressure on himself coming in this season he felt like he was ready to have a breakout here he knew he had all the tools in the toolbox to be able to get it done and he's showing it that's his 10th rushing touchdown on the season at unit on the field the extra point and the extra point will tack another one onto this lead let's go to the studio now and check in with Kevin Connors Kevin what do you got all right guys want to update you on a game that went final moments ago Missouri was able to finish off a close one in Colombia they did just enough both offensively and defensively to Come Away with the DB hey survive and advance trying to start the drive with a pass a lot to go through in the film session this week for both teams but boy it sure is going to be easier for the side that came away with the win Kevin thanks a lot for that one sounds as if they had a good one there looking to the big tight end and he really needed to hold on to that one but it was not loose and third down is coming that last incomplete pass has him staring at a third and three can't make the connection action on third down thanks to that tough hard-nosed pass defense and now it's Fourth Down they'll go with a direct snap brought to the ground but not before getting enough for the first down looks as if we have an injury on that last play and we'll take a break to check him out and the Cougars will snap it on First and 10 he wants to throw looking to the big tight end how about that play to get a hand in there and force the incompletion they'll try to get on the same page this time second and 10 from the 31 they'll throw again after the incompletion quickly complete and there were no creases or crevices to run through and they shove him out of bounds these are the types of plays where offenses impose their will third and short from the 45 and the incomplete pass will bring up fourth down no sign of the punt team as they will go for it and try to move those chains they're throwing for it on fourth down he's got it and they convert he's run out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down BYU has this offense clicking the aerial assault continues makes the catch it's Roberts they stop him just a link or two short of the first and man what they can do on second down here he's looking to throw quick strike complete and he'll be taken down but he does have enough for the first down let me tell you this senior quarterback can fat fitted in a tight window he'll come out throwing on first down fires to the right pulls it in finally run out of bounds but he has this offense rolling with a first down the give to Davis and they try to run inside and there is nowhere to go operating in the Red Zone here on second down up he's looking to throw he makes a grab and he was straining for the goal line but the defense stopped him short on first and goal let's see if BYU can score here they'll try to pound their way in and he takes it in for the score touchdown cougar know this guy's had a big role in this offense this year especially when they get down close to the end zone that is his fifth rushing touchdown on the year he's been a factor for these guys [Music] offensively lining up for the pat [Music] and it's up and good that is what they mean when they say ball control a 14pl touchdown Drive they're down big but they'll keep fighting to The Bitter End and line up for the onside kick here not much drives more anxiety than waiting to see if the hands team can Corral the onside kick and they do the give to the running back from the shotgun what a good run there he has enough for the first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs first for the off off play as he goes down the BYU offense headed back out to go on the attack he'll start this drive firing just a bit of a misfire there as they can't make the connection now it's second and 10 from the 15 after the incompletion they go back up top and the quarterback caught up to and sacked at the 12 man it's been a long day for this offense if you can't protect your quarterback it's hard to be successful that's the fifth sack they have given up the offensive coordinator has no answers and this defense has been flying around this defense has kept them backed up now one more stop and they can get off the field on Third and long looking downfield and he needs a bunch oh they really could have used that catch there physical pass defense it brings up a fourth down BYU will bring the punt team on the field they've been busy out there to punt for the fifth time today he'll bring it back it's Presley he couldn't find much Running Room there didn't get a lot of blocking and he'll step out of bound so the decision has been made and the coach will take the penalty so the offense keep this drive alive thanks to the roughing the punter penalty nice defensive play to get a hand in there and knock it away and the incompletion brings up a second down for this offense off the play fake just had to get rid of that one good job to avoid the loss third down conversion is always a huge stat and they've got a third and long from the 27 unloads to the wide out got his man and they'll finally bring him down after he rips off a huge play the offense will have to use its first timeout of the half the Cougars have it with a first and 10 they're going to throw it again makes his connection it's really nice when you're an offensive coach and you can basically attack the whole field you got an arm like this and you could just boom put on a line it's really nice to have that wants to throw on second down complete downfield he's run out of bounds but not before turning in a big pickup and moving the sticks for a first down he's going to pass deep shot for the end zone and they won't make the connection going for the big play couldn't connect on first down now second and 10 from the 24 throws to the wide out he got it he gets it in touchdown BYU one of the reasons this offense is so exciting to watch they've got guys that are dangerous after the catch if this quarterback gets through his progression David he hits you in stride these guys will take it to the house man it's your job to do the rest right you hit me in stride where I don't have to stop running I don't have to break down it makes it so easy the connection between quarterback wide receiver you can tell this is a good one and that's why they got six on that play and the extra point was good so it's a 73 yd touchdown Drive the deficit is huge this one is all but over but they'll keep trying and line up for the onside kick and a few anxious moments but the hands team is able to fall on it Oklahoma state has it back and the offense is on the field with this big cushion they're working with Jesse they're ready to send these fans toward the exits and you know the coaching staff has got to be so happy with how this offense has been able to come out here on the road fight the crowd noise and execute at such a high level day yeah just dominate the football game and now listen it's mode where I can run the football run out the clock watch this game go to zeros and get the D they feed him again one step WRA twep squeeze this junior knows how to get him on the ground how bold will they be on third down after that last run they'll leave it with him and they did not let him reach the line to gain it'll bring up a decision here a strong methodical workmanlike effort from this team no thrills just get the job done and get the win I love when you describe my teams like that just consistent you know methodical strong I don't have to do things special every single week all I'm supposed to do is get the W and that's what they did and this is why practice is so important guys you can tell that this team was locked in way back earlier in the week they watched the film they got good looks in practice they
